From what I can see, all the commentary on the Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes movie thinks this story is trying to answer its philosopical questions, and completely overlooking the fact that all the answers these characters find are the wrong ones. The right answer is in The Hunger Games and Catching Fire and Mockingjay. You can tell because the main character of this story is the villain in the other ones.

i think one of the best qualities of the tmnt fandom is, i think, a generally wider willingness to Get Weird With It. it's already canon that the main characters are mutated turtles, which in turn necessitates mutation lore, which gives way to aliens, magic, monsters of all kinds, body horror, blatant queercoding, philosopical questions about what does and doesn't constitute a human, a person, a being deserving of life, and that's all just stuff that happens in canon!
so, of course we're willing to elaborate on all sorts of bullshit, of course we're willing to get gayer and freakier about it, of course we're excited to elaborate more on dark or complicated ideas. of course we're happy to make our OCs and the canon characters little fucked up guys.
i think we ought to remind ourselves of that and go insane more. everyone go insane more

The question"Would Danny Fenton die if killed?" is a philosopical question on the same category as the trolley problem or the turing test.

Random philosopical question, do you think being a good person is a matter of the mind(reason/etics), the heart (emotions/empathy) or the soul (morality)?
Grian: Mind.
Scar: Heart!
Scott: Soul?
Pearl: Well this interesting...

The Bold the Facts tag
The Rules are simple! Tag people and name a character you want to know more about! If you want to let the person you tagged decide who to showcase, then don’t name a character and they can pick somebody. Easy! The person who is tagged will then bold the remarks below which apply to their character &, if they want to, include a picture with their reply!
I was tagged by @kimmiessimmies for Jonathan. Thank you! Answers under the cut.
Tagging @puffkins2000 for one or both of the Pirate Pair (have their names been mentioned? I actually went back a bit but couldn't find them.)

has anyone ever brought up the blood gulch crews complete disregard for the ship of theseus situation? you know, reagrading the alpha!church and epsilon!church situation
like sure, they are complete morons and also have probably never herad of this theory in their life (except simmons maybe). but even if they don’t have a name for the concept or anything... it just is not a thing to them.
the simplified main question of the theory is: if you over time replace every part of a ship, is it still the same ship? and then the follow up question: if you use the replaced parts to rebuild the ship over time someweher else, do you have the same ship twice?
the same argument basically comes up in sci-fic in regards of clones or someone backing up their memory somewhere.
but then you have the vlood gulch crew who just completelly ignores this paradox, the implications of this thought experiment.
and like the fascinating thing is that they are completely, 100% aware of the situation. they absolutelly know the guy from blood gulch is the alpha ai. who got deleted by the end of seson 6 when he went with wash to trigger the emp e.m.p.
they know the new guy is the epsilon a.i. who is the memory of the original church. and is besically just remembering himself. they are totally aware of the destinction. no confusion there. and yet its just. churuch.
its not even that they reach some kind of subconscious consensus on this or anything. they just straight up are like: oh yeah, epsilon is also church.
like no thought whatsoever. zero. head empty.
(and i think the exchange between tucker and dylan in season 15 hammers this home.
Caboose: I miss church.
Dylan: you mean the epsilon a.i
Tucker: no, he means church.)
they know the difference. they just don’t differenentiate at all.
they are so simple in that regard that at no point do any of the implications of the ship of theseus ever occurs to them. they are just like, oh that before was the alpha a.i and now its the epsilon a.i. anyway, thats church, always a total jerk.
anyway im sure they would have many, many philosopers despair with how astoundingly simple they are

now this one's making him think a little, at last. there's not much else to do while locked up in arkham, so it's only fair to humor the other's query. "… logically, the answer is no. i don't personally believe in higher beings or such otherwordly plains of existence. you see, humanity initially created the concept of the afterlife to give itself a reassuring big ol' pat on the back so they'd have something to look forward to after they die. the concept of nothing can be extremely hard to grasp for a lot of people, so it's difficult for them to understand that there might be nothing waiting for us after death.
"however," a deep breath, before continuing, "i do have to admit there are things we've yet to fully comprehend, as things are. i'll admit i've seen my fair share of oddities in this life, and at this point it wouldn't even shock me if it was revealed such concepts do actually exist in the end, somehow. and, unless you'd want me to take a more metaphorical or philosopical route, this is the shortest way to put it for me."

Today, It was raining cats and dogs outside. Some of the roads and places are partially flooded so my father has to drop me off to school by our jeep. Today we continued tackling about different perspective of philosopers concept of self in the subject of Understanding the self. the different concepts of self by the different philosoper made me think and examine about my self, and i realized that every concepts of self also applies to me. It made me realize that understanding my self is really essential for me to futher study my own being and also understanding the self of others. After our subject in UTS, i immediately reviewed for our quiz on Nstp 1, nervousness conquer my body as i saw and heard some of my classmates being called and ask questions at the front. But i managed to calm my self and relaxed so that i could think and answer with my best once i was called, but then i wasn't called, so i felt relieved because i have more time to review for our quiz on monday. after the class, i immediately rushed home because its raining, then i fall asleep before studying, and recalling our lessons and acts, for today. Taking a rest/time for my self to recover from tiring day before studying again is also kind of self-care as i made my well-being a priority to accomplish and be more productive in everything i do.

Mobile-First Design: Front-End Development for a Mobile World -mVerve
In a world where smartphones have become an extension of our hands, and mobile internet usage surpasses desktop, the concept of "mobile-first design" has become more than just a trend—it's a necessity. Mobile-first design is a front-end development approach that prioritizes designing and building websites and web applications for mobile devices before desktops. In this blog, we'll explore the significance of mobile-first design in today's mobile-centric world and why it's a crucial aspect of front-end development.
The Mobile Revolution
The mobile revolution has reshaped the way we live, work, and interact. It's no longer a question of whether your audience is using mobile devices; it's an expectation. With smartphones in the pockets of billions, the mobile experience has become the primary point of engagement with the digital world.
The Rise of Mobile Usage
The statistics are clear: mobile usage is on the rise, and it's not showing any signs of slowing down. People use their smartphones for everything, from browsing and shopping to socializing and productivity. The convenience and accessibility offered by mobile devices make them the preferred choice for a wide range of tasks.
Mobile-First Design Philosophy
Mobile-first design is a philosophy that recognizes the mobile experience as the starting point for web design and development. Instead of treating mobile design as an afterthought or a secondary consideration, it's given primary importance. This approach requires a shift in mindset—designers and developers must first create a design that works well on the smallest screens and then progressively enhance it for larger displays.
Why Mobile-First Design Matters
User-Centric Approach: By designing for mobile devices first, you prioritize the user's needs and experience. Mobile users are often on the go, seeking quick access to essential information. A mobile-first design ensures that your content is easily accessible and your site is easy to navigate.
Improved Performance: Mobile-first design encourages performance optimization. To create a fast and efficient mobile experience, designers and front-end developers must streamline design elements and minimize unnecessary components. This not only benefits mobile users but also desktop users.
Responsive Design: Starting with mobile design and progressively enhancing it for larger screens naturally leads to responsive design. Your website or application will adapt to various screen sizes, providing a consistent and enjoyable user experience across devices.
SEO Benefits: Search engines favor mobile-friendly websites. A mobile-first design approach ensures that your site is optimized for mobile SEO, leading to better search engine rankings.
Global Reach: In many regions, mobile devices are the primary means of internet access. By prioritizing mobile design, you tap into a global audience, making your content accessible to a broader range of users.
Future-Proofing: As technology continues to evolve, mobile devices will remain a central part of our digital lives. A mobile-first design ensures that your digital presence is future-proof and ready for whatever new devices and technologies emerge.
Challenges of Mobile-First Design
Mobile-first design is not without its challenges. Designing for small screens requires careful consideration of content hierarchy, navigation, and user interaction. Front-end developers must also ensure that the site performs well across a wide range of devices, operating systems, and screen sizes. However, these challenges are outweighed by the benefits in terms of user experience and reach.
In Conclusion
In an increasingly mobile-centric world, mobile-first design is not just a best practice; it's a fundamental aspect of front-end development. It acknowledges the reality that mobile devices are the primary gateway to the digital world for many users. By adopting a mobile-first design philosophy, you prioritize user experience, performance, and adaptability, ensuring your digital presence is not just functional but outstanding in the mobile world.
So, if you're embarking on a new web design or development project, remember that starting with mobile-first design is not just a trend; it's a strategic choice that will put your brand or business at the forefront of the mobile revolution.

There are many different types of drug rehab programs available, but not all of them are effective. Some people prefer to go to inpatient rehab programs, while others opt for outpatient programs. Third Book 0=0
“The Plague” By Albur Camus
Tumblr media
Synopsis: In the city of Oran, a mysterious plague strats emerging. The citizens don’t take notice until the plague is an omnipresent reality.
SPOILERS AHEAD
- As a note; The book is divided in five different sections.
I’ll go easy on this one.
- Part’s 1 and 2 have great builds. The tension, the horror, and the questions neccessary for a great tragedy.
- Part 3 starts to loosen the pace in favor of the more human side of town, focusing more on the humans living with the plague in the bakcground.
- Part 4 starts seeing the town in a more loosen state, and for me, this is when the novel starts to loosen it’s grip, and forgets the tension all together.
- Part 5 seees the town, almost, free of plague, and re-gains the tension within the last few pages.
I have several mix feelings when it comes to this book. The concept, the story, characterization, and philosopical inquires are great, and the sentences are long and complex. But at the end, as mentioned, the story looses it’s wheels and the tension that was build.
I don’t reccomend it, in the given case you wished a tensed story, but if you wish for a story that focuses more in the human side, and their motives, this might just be it.
