any other show, a deleted scene is not canon like it simply did not make it into the show. but supernatural has chuck and the ghostfacers effect which leads the audience to conclude that any script or deleted scene can be read as the reality of what actually happened sans ghostfacers effect. like theres a legitimate reading of supernatural where you can say "oh all these deleted scenes ARE what really happened. we just didnt see them bc ghostfacers effect" and thats like. valid and supported by canon.
