I have never heard of that movie (Phantom of the Paradise)

Phantom of the Paradise is a horror/musical/comedy film released Halloween of 1974, and involves a man's composition being stolen by music producers and then framed and sentenced to life in jail where he is disfigured to have his teeth removed and replaced within prison, and after he escapes, his vocal cords are seared, and face horribly burned, before shot in the leg and fallen into the river. Under the impression he is dead, his music gains popularity, however he is not gone at all. He attempts to haunt the owner who stole his work, but is convinced to work for him, producing "more work discovered after his death". The entire film is kind of a masterpiece and has the themes of post-mortem fame and the value of life and death.

It's genuinely my favourite movie, and was the reason Rocky Horror Picture Show was greenlit (not because Phantom did well in the box office, it did badly, but rather they saw the production for horror musicals and said to sign em up). Feel free to check it out. It's 70s type horror, so the blood looks like paint. Not actually too scary. Plus the music is so good. They got Paul Williams in it.
