Disclaimer: This post is gonna have a lot of tags, it's not spam! I just want to reach a lot of people for research reasons!
Ok hello! I am conducting a non-official, personel research project on the Netflix Spain series Élite. It's actually pretty serious, as my field of study is related to the show! I am looking for people who have seen the show (in part or in full) talk to me about it. So if that describes you and you are willing to talk to me about:
Your experience with fandom surrounding Élite,
Your opinion on the representation of queer sexuality in Élite,
Your opinion on the representation of Islam and Muslim characters in Élite,
Or just generally want to talk to someone about the show Élite,
Please message me! If you do, please add:
What seasons/how much of the show you watched
IF YOU FEEL COMFORTABLE, a sort of identification which would serve to place you within the context of Élite watchers. For example: "I am a spanish teen!", "I am a 50 year old gay frenchman!", "I am actively learning spanish!", etc.
Any info obtained through here will remain as anonymous as you want it. My plan for now is to present my reaserch in a video essay, but I might also end up writing my masters about a related subject, which will then be hosted under my university's publishing house, but nothing more official.
Thank you so much to people who participate and to the others, have a nice day!

Champagne Market Analysis: Global Perspective
Tumblr media
The champagne market primarily involves production and sales of wine made from specific grapes grown in the Champagne region of France. Champagne is made through the traditional method which involves a second fermentation process in the bottle. This gives champagne its signature taste, aroma and bubbles. It is considered a luxury good and symbol of prestige. The global champagne market is estimated to be valued at US$ 7.67 Bn in 2024 and is expected to exhibit a CAGR of 5.0% over the forecast period 2023 to 2030. Key players operating in the champagne market are Moet & Chandon, Nicolas Feuillatte, Laurent-Perrier, Piper-Heidsieck, Champagne Pommery, Louis Roederer, Champagne Lanson, Champagne Pol Roger, Krug Champagne, Champagne Cattier, Pernod Ricard SA, and Bollinger. The demand for champagne is growing steadily owing to increasing luxury spending across the world. The Asia Pacific region especially China and India are important emerging markets driving global champagne consumption. Key Takeaways
Key players: Moet & Chandon, Nicolas Feuillatte, Laurent-Perrier, Piper-Heidsieck, Champagne Pommery, Louis Roederer, Champagne Lanson, Champagne Pol Roger, Krug Champagne, Champagne Cattier, Pernod Ricard SA, and Bollinger hold a majority market share and are focusing on expanding production and distribution networks globally. Growing demand: Rapidly growing middle and upper class populations with rising disposable incomes in developing economies are fueling champagne consumption for luxury celebrations and achievements. The young millennial population also prefers champagne over other liquors. Global expansion: Leading champagne houses are targeting new distribution channels and focusing on developing markets through elaborate marketing campaigns, product launches, and tie-ups with hotels, restaurants and retailers. The Asia Pacific region especially China presents significant growth opportunities. Market key trends
One of the key trends driving the champagne market is increasing popularity of rosé champagne varieties especially among millennial consumers. Rosé champagne now accounts for over 15% of global champagne production compared to just 5% a decade ago. Prominent champagne makers have launched innovative rosé champagne products in sleek packaging to appeal to young consumers keen on pink bubbly beverages. This trend is boosting overall champagne consumption worldwide. Porter's Analysis Threat of new entrants: New entrants face high production costs required to establish champagne grape vineyards and production facilities that meet French appellation requirements. Bargaining power of buyers: Large retail buyers have significant influence over pricing due to their volume purchases while individual consumers have limited influence. Bargaining power of suppliers: Grapes must be sourced from specific regions in France giving suppliers some control over pricing and availability. Threat of new substitutes: While other sparkling wines can substitute, champagne has a strong brand associated with celebrations and luxury limiting potential substitution. Competitive rivalry: The champagne industry is highly consolidated and competitive among major brands fighting for prestige and shelf space at high-end restaurants and retailers. Geographical Regions Europe accounts for over 80% of global champagne consumption by value, with France alone representing over 60% of total volumes. The EU origins law restricts production of sparkling wines labeled "champagne" to certain provinces in the northern French regions of Champagne, Aube, Aisne, Marne and Val-d'Oise. Within these departments, the Côte des Blancs, Montagne de Reims, and Vallée de la Marne are prestigious subregions known for their terroirs. Fastest Growing Regions Asia-Pacific has been the fastest growing consumption region for champagne in recent years, driven by rising affluence and prestige associated with champagne celebrations in key markets like China and Japan. Consumption in China alone grew over 25% annually from 2010 to 2018, establishing the country as the third largest champagne consumer globally despite cultural differences from European traditions. Additional high-potential growth markets across Asia and Latin America are projected to drivgne sales through 2030.e above average volume and value gains for global champa

Sustainable Bubbles: Examining Eco-Friendly Practices in the Champagne Market
Tumblr media
The Champagne Market is estimated to be valued at US$ 7.67 Bn in 2023 and is expected to exhibit a CAGR of 5.0% over the forecast period 2023 to 2030, as highlighted in a new report published by Coherent Market Insights. Market Overview: Champagne is made from grapes that are grown in certain areas of France. This wine is fermented twice to produce carbonation. It is known for its fine bubble texture and complex floral, fruity and yeasty flavors. Champagne is considered a status symbol and is consumed during celebrations globally. The wine enhances the image and taste experience. Market key trends: Champagne is witnessing high demand from millennials globally which is a key trend driving the market growth. Millennials prefer premium sparkling wine and want unique drinking experiences. They are experimental with their tastes and willing to pay a higher price for premium products. As a result, champagne producers are focusing on innovative packaging, limited editions and developing more luxurious premium brands targeted at millennials. They are also investing in digital and social media marketing campaigns to attract younger consumers. This rising millennial demand for champagne experience is estimated to significantly contribute to the market growth over the forecast period. Porter's Analysis
Threat of new entrants: The champagne market has high requirement for grape varieties and production process that requires high capital investment limiting threats of new entrants.
Bargaining power of buyers: Large buyers like supermarkets have significant bargaining power due to their purchasing volume compelling producers to offer competitive prices.
Bargaining power of suppliers: Since grapes and other raw materials have limited supply concentration, suppliers have moderate bargaining power over champagne producers.
Threat of new substitutes: Though sparkling wines pose competition, champagne preserves brand image and exclusivity facing limited threats from substitutes.
Competitive rivalry: Being a mature market, rivalry among champagne market players is intense necessitating innovative branding and marketing strategies.
SWOT Analysis
Strength: Champagne enjoys a luxury brand image and extensive distribution network globally. The protected designation of origin designation assures quality and authenticity.
Weakness: Champagne production is susceptible to climate change volatile weather patterns impacting grape yields. Declining consumption in key markets like Europe is also a concern.
Opportunity: Emerging markets like Asia Pacific and Latin America offer high growth potential driven by rising incomes and exposure to western lifestyles.
Threats: Trade disputes and rising import tariffs can weaken competitive positioning in major export markets like the US. Substitution threat from domestic sparkling wines also looms large.
Key Takeaways
The global champagne market size is expected to witness high growth, exhibiting CAGR of 5.0% over the forecast period, due to increasing social events and celebrations.
Europe dominates the global champagne market with France accounting for over 95% of the production volume. Changing lifestyles and rising disposable incomes in Asia Pacific are fueling demand for premium beverages in the region and is anticipated to be the fastest growing regional champagne market. Key players operating in the champagne market are Moet & Chandon, Nicolas Feuillatte, Laurent-Perrier, Piper-Heidsieck, Champagne Pommery, Louis Roederer, Champagne Lanson, Champagne Pol Roger, Krug Champagne, Champagne Cattier, Pernod Ricard SA, and Bollinger.

SPOILER ALERT - ELITE SEASON 4
alright i just finished the season and i have some opinions.
first of all, the new characters. mencía is obviously my favorite and between the three siblings she was the only one with an actual storyline, and a very serious one. patrick was there just to some sex scenes, and he's always having sex in the bathroom like???? that's enough, go watch a class or something. ari is just annoying. i don't get why she was there, all she did was agree with her father and cause unnecessary drama. now phillipe surprised me, i don't even know what to say. when georgina amoros (cayetana) said that caye's relationship with phillipe was the least toxic one i believed her, and then his story started to be developed and i was SHOCKED.
i'm also really happy to see the amazing development cayetana had. in season 2 she wouldn't have the guts to talk to phillipe's mom the way she did, knowing that she would be throwing away the opportunity of living the life she always dreamed about.
and i really liked rebeka and mencía together. rebeka literally beat up two different guys to defend her, and i love how they learned how to trust each other as the time went by. i'm looking forward to see where this relationship goes. and i hope they don't fuck up the only sapphic relationship on that show.

The Growing Popularity of Organic Champagne is Driving the Champagne Market Growth The Champagne market in known for its use of organic and biodynamic grapes that results in sustainable products with fewer additives and chemicals. The demand for organic champagne is growing steadily as consumers are increasingly health conscious and prefer natural ingredients.
The Global Champagne Market is estimated to be valued at US$ 7.67 Billion in 2024 and is expected to exhibit a CAGR of 5.0% over the forecast period 2023 to 2030. Champagne is a sparkling wine produced in the Champagne region of France using the traditional method, which involves a second fermentation process in the bottle. Champagne is made from black Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and red Chardonnay grapes grown in specific regions. Champagne adds elegance and festivity to any occasion and its consumption has historically been associated with luxury and affluence. The market has been witnessing increased demand for organic varieties made from grapes that are grown using organic or biodynamic farming practices without the use of synthetic fertilizers and pesticides. Key Takeaways Key players operating in the Champagne are Moet & Chandon, Nicolas Feuillatte, Laurent-Perrier, Piper-Heidsieck, Champagne Pommery, Louis Roederer, Champagne Lanson, Champagne Pol Roger, Krug Champagne, Champagne Cattier, Pernod Ricard SA, and Bollinger. The key players have strengthened their presence through expansion of production facilities worldwide. The global champagne market is witnessing growing demand driven by increasing disposable incomes, rising celebrations and special occasions, and the use of champagne for corporate gifting, luxury travel and hospitality industries. Champagne consumption has steadily increased in Asian markets like China and India presenting huge opportunities for premiumization. Champagne producers are targeting developed as well as emerging economies for growth through extensive marketing campaigns and improving accessibility. The market has benefitted from rising exports to North America and Asia Pacific regions from traditional strongholds in Western Europe. Market Key Trends The key trend in the global champagne market is the rising popularity of organic and sustainable varieties produced from estate-grown grapes farmed using biodynamic practices. Consumers are willing to pay premium prices for organic options and producers are gradually transitioning parts of their vineyards towards low-intervention methods. Leading champagne houses are promoting organic champagne under dedicated brand names and lines to leverage the health and wellness trend. Furthermore, premiumization through super-premium cuvées, personalized labels and limited-edition releases aligned with occasions is another major trend driving higher consumer spending in the market.
Porter’s Analysis Threat of new entrants: High capital requirements and established brand recognition make it difficult for new players to enter the market.
Bargaining power of buyers: Buyers have moderate bargaining power due to availability of alternatives from other sparkling wines.
Bargaining power of suppliers: Wine grape suppliers have moderate to high bargaining power as quality supply plays a crucial role in production of champagne.
Threat of new substitutes: Sparkling wines like prosecco and cava act as substitutes but are not direct replacements for champagne.
Competitive rivalry: Intense competition exists between major players to maintain brand image and occupy greater market share. Geographical regions where the market is concentrated in terms of value include Western Europe, US and Japan. France accounts for the majority of champagne production contributing more than half of the total global supply. The country is also a leading consumer market with France, US and UK being the top consuming nations. The Asia Pacific region represents the fastest growing geographical segment for champagne market. Increasing disposable incomes and growing acceptance of luxury wines among developing countries such as China and India is driving higher sales in the Asia Pacific region. Affluent consumers in countries like Japan are also favouring champagne consumption thereby contributing to regional market growth.
