If anyone questions if sexism is alive and well in our culture, they just need to walk thru their local airport like i did to see a "proud" dad sporting a gem of a tshirt very similar to this standing next to a young lady i presume is his daughter. Way to tell our kids that women are weak, can't make their own decisions and NEED a man to be around to "protect" them. Sends a great message folks. Respect my AUTHORITY

My wife and I were talking a few nights ago about how much it bugs the shit out of us when other adults undermine our authority with our children.

I will tell you this irritates the ever living shit out of me.  When I tell my child to do something or ask them NOT to do something; and someone else tells them the opposite RIGHT IN FRONT OF MY FACE you are asking to get your ass handed to you.

I don’t fucking care if you are the other parent, grandma, grandpa, aunt, uncle, brother; the President of the United States, General fucking Mathis could say otherwise; these are my fucking kids and I will do the parenting.  You don’t spend every goddamn day with them.  You haven’t been there for the long sleepless nights.  You are not the one working your ass off for a living to provide them everything they need and want.  I AM.

What you are teaching my children is that they do not have to listen to OR RESPECT me.  I am the fucking parent here NOT YOU.  So, if I tell my child that they CAN’T have something, or to go do something YOU have no fucking place to undermine my fucking authority.

Furthermore, if you are a parent, and you have given me the authority to put your child in timeout, or to dish out the appropriate punishment when they are acting like little assholes...DO NOT FUCKING UNDERMINE US.  You are teaching your fucking kid to not respect other adults and the authority of others.  

If you ever wonder why I use to watch your kids all the time, and now I have no interest in doing so now, think about how you fucking act and how your child acts to others.  I have children that can be little assholes too, the only difference is: I teach them to listen and respect authority.  I don’t need you child fucking that up for us.
