#platonic yandere xmen evolution
Note
hi I hope can you can a yandere scott and jean with child reader haunted mansion au please.
Hahaha, yes! So, Reader in this, I'm imagining they are a random kid who was dropped off at the wrong house. Let's see how it goes-
The house was really cold, you'd noticed.
And dusty.
And old.
It seemed rather large, with too many doors and too many paintings and too many mirrors and too many cobwebs to count. It seemed... abandoned. Lonely. And it made you scared. You were trying not to cry, you were trying to be a big kid, but it was hard when every time you walked the floor creaked, and spooky noises came from deep inside the twisting halls.
You were rather happy, then, to see someone. A tall someone, who wore bright red glasses.
"Hello? Can you hear me?" you called, your voice a loud whisper that echoed in the vast void of the room. That caught the attention of the tall person, who was a older teen. He looked pretty shocked to see you.
"What the...?" he said, then came closer. It was quite apparent now that you were tiny compared to him. Yet the moment he was near, you latched onto his leg, hugging it. "Um, hey, kid? Um... how. How did you get in here?"
"I was left here. They said this was where the babysitter was," you answered. He was really cold, almost freezing, like snow. It was weird, but he seemed nice. "Are you the babysitter?"
For a moment he looked conflicted, then he scooped you up, holding you rather gently. "Um, yep. For tonight. My name's Scott, what's yours?" He carried you through the different rooms, until you reached a dining room, setting you down on a chair carefully. For a minute he seemed to flicker, but it must have been a trick of the light...
"Oh... I'm Reader..."
"Huh... that's... that's a good name. Did you need anything?"
"I don't kn-"
"Scott!"
Another teenager soon appeared, one with bright auburn hair, who seemed happy to see him. The moment she saw you, her smile only widened. "Aaaawwww, hi, sweetie! Who are you?"
"That's Reader. Reader, this is Jean, Jean, this is Reader. We were just trying to see if they needed anything," Scott explained. He rubbed his neck sheepishly. "They were, uh... dropped off here."
"What?" Jean seems almost confused, then angry, then calm again. "Okay, I see... Well, let's take care of you, okay, sweetie?" she says to you, and you shyly grin at her. She seems nice.
"Can we play a game?"
"Um, sure, kid. What game did you have in mind?"
"Whatever you want, okay?"
"Um... what about hide and go seek?" you offer. That's met with two nods, and you quickly add, "Can I hide first?"
"Of course. Just... let's play outside, okay? I don't think all the rooms are clean in here, and we don't need you getting sick," Jean explains. Scott nods, and you simply race them to the door. When you look back, they're both closing their eyes, starting to count.
You giggle, racing out the large doors and working your way into the yard beside the large house. It's full of weird rocks and stones, with names carved on them, along with numbers. And there's even one with your name, scratched in and with some sweet words under it... But you decided to hide behind the two that have Scott and Jean's names on them, with rhyming words. It takes awhile before you hear them come out, the only way you know it being them calling, "Ready or not, here we come!"
It doesn't take too long for them to find you, after looking around the different stones and slabs and bushes. And when they do find you, you laugh-scream when hands suddenly pick you up, hugging you tightly.
"There you are!"
"Here I am!"
After that, you're soon put to bed, being kept in a small room with a smaller bed. The blankets smell a little old, and the room is slightly warmer than the others, but you settle down, lulled under by the story being read to you by your two new friends...
When you wake up, your parent is worried, quickly grabbing you and almost running through the halls and out the door, not stopping for a minute. "Where are we going?" you yawn, rubbing at your eyes.
"We're going home, baby, okay? I'm so sorry I left you here all alone, I thought this was the right house!"
"But I wasn't alone..."
Your parent's face goes pale, almost like a ghost. "You... there were people there?"
You nod your head.
With that, they start the car, speeding down the long, long driveway and out into the lonely road. You'd only later find out, when you're older, that the house, a mansion, had been abandoned for years... and that no one was living there at all...
But that didn't mean the dead weren't...

“ there is nobody who hate me more than myself”
Tumblr media
-> warnings: yandere themes, platonic relationships, self hatred, implied brainwashing and much more.
-> request by anon! Hi, I really liked your x-men fic and I was wondering if you could do a yandere platonic x-men with mutant that tries to hide their powers and hate being a mutant
-> a/n: thank u anon. I didn’t expect to another request of xmen so soon, since it’s been a while since i saw xmen, I used the main team of the evolution animated serie. didn’t post it before since my last wisdom teeth is hurting, but now I am feeling better :)
Tumblr media
-> how long have you find out about this powers? Not long and still felt like ages since you have been drag to live at this weird mansion that everyone refers as the xavier institute, where any mutant can be themself regardless of the society.
-> pretty cool, yet you don’t want to belong to this place. you have a life ahead with full of possibilities and multiple goals for the future, everything to be destroyed by those stupid powers. even with mother and father saying how it help other people, you found it annoying the fact that all of the people in the world, you got powers.
-> even though they aren’t difficult to control, all the members of the xmen made you stay at the institute, saying how much dangerous is to someone like you to go out when millions are trying to hurt people like you. yet that didn’t stop you from the numerous attempts to break out the place.
-> the many times where you spend hearing professor Xavier’s lectures, Scott rumbling about dangerous peopl, Jean convincing you that is safe to stay inside. All of them made you go crazy with their voices and arguments.
-> and training? your training is boring, even with the fact that you know how to control your powers and they still treating you like a newborn. someone have to watch you whatever you are inside the training room, keeping shouting how dangerous if you missed the target and sometimes, you even shoot at them out of angry, yet nothing happen to them.
-> their voices are annoying, always telling you how to properly learn about your powers and to use it for good, however they keep ignoring the fact that you don’t want to be there.
-> almost every member is delusional about your words. most of them believe you’ve being brainwashed by the public and that you don’t know what you are taking about. the rest such as professor xavier, beast and storms, the adults, try their best to change your opinion about mutants, always failing in the end.
-> they hope to one day change your thoughts about having power and all, yet professor xavier knows that he can do it. he can change your thoughts about him and the others, he knows that.

🌙Silent Night🦋 AU... Part One:
(Warning: This AU depicts abuse, self-harm, self-mutilation, unhealthy mindsets, guilty platonic yanderes, and platonic yanderes. If this upsets you or is not your cup of tea, do not read. Viewer discretion is advised...)
• They aren't sure when it started. When the others started to dislike them, to get angry with them, to see them as less than them. Maybe it was from the start, when they had optimism and were bright-eyed and were full of love and empathy. Maybe it was when their views didn't align with the others anymore, when they couldn't agree with them no matter what they said was right or just. Maybe it was just their natural way of acting, and they finally snapped and took it out on them. Whatever the case was, they were soon at odds and ends with them, dealing with the contempt and anger of the ones who they thought they could trust.
• Reader knew their beliefs were... looked down on. They knew that the first time they said they didn't hate humans, that they wanted to make peace with them, that something had changed. And it wasn't for the better. Where once they were allowed to join the other kids, now they were ostracized, cast aside. Where the adults used to include them or care about them, they now were mad, snappish, annoyed whenever Reader spoke up or said anything. Not to mention how no one seemed to like them anymore, seemed to try and talk with them, tried to help them or offer aid or smooth over any fears or doubts.
• But it still only grew worse.
• The problem came when they had helped a human out. Reader hadn't even done much, besides put a band-aid on their leg and hidden them, only leading them back out and bringing them somehwhere safer for them than the woods. Except this secret wasn't so secret, and the next thing Reader knew-
• They were locked up, tossed into a cell and chained, left to rot save for when one of the adults came by to... "re-educate"... them.
• Their life hadn't been long, but Reader soon discovered there were worse fates than death. Being hurt, be it by claws or forced fighting or being held down and bruised, was awful. It hurt even more knowing that it was done by people who once claimed to care about them, to want to help them... But whatever this was that they were doing, it wasn't helping. Was it? The bleeding cuts, the bruised limbs, the sore wings from trying to stay aloft, to get away- Their scratched-up hands, the bloodied nails, the blackened spots that bleed under their skin, turning into ugly shades of purple and black... The one thing that felt untouched was their wings, the only parts that didn't ache with slowly being healed by their body, that didn't become scarred up or marred by the hands that grabbed and clawed and hit and forced down...
• Reader didn't know why it wouldn't stop. Didn't know how much longer it would be until something gave. They should have known it would be their wings that would be the breaking point.
• That memory was faded a bit, their mind blocking out some of it, but what they remembered was another forced fight, running as far as they could before they were yanked back, hands grabbing, something creaking-
• SNAP!
• And soon they were wailing, collapsing into themself and trying to hide, to drag their broken wing over them, using their hands to muffle their sobs as they waited for their attacker/s to finish it... But they didn't. They only stopped, then left, leaving Reader on their own and curled up in the farthest corner of the room, doing their best to not move, grasping at the last threads of comfort they had...
• They'd been still for days. Any food or water left had been ignored, Reader not budging an inch to go near it or to do anything else. It didn't matter when someone eventually came in to check on them, or when hands grasped their wing, feeling at the broken bones and slowly bandaging it, setting up a sling. It didn't even matter when they said Reader could go back up with them, could leave for the first time from their personal h*ll... Yet Reader didn't enjoy this new freedom. It wasn't freedom really, was it? They now had to face the ones who wounded them, those who turned their backs on them, who had put them into their own special kind of h*lll, all because they weren't like them... All because they tried to do the right thing, to help someone, even if that person had been a human...
• Reader didn't keep count of how long it took them to gather the nerve to escape. They knew it had been at least two weeks, if not more... The night they chose was quiet, cold and chilled, soft snowfall dusting the sky and leaving a blanket of freezing white on the ground. No one should have been up. No one should have seen them. Reader had crossed past the farthest edges of the property, making it a few feet into the woods, before they heard someone shout far behind them- Then they fled, scrambling over rocks and slippery patches of ice, hurtling over fallen trees and past ice-covered trunks. Ice glinted under the small amount of moonlight, frosted and gleaming, each shard and icicle and flake as cold as death. Even then, it didn't deter them, not even when they reached a ledge, looking out over a frozen lake, a dark mirror reflecting the darkness and cold of the night, and the smallest glint of the moon...
• "Reader... Don't move." Yet even the quiet eventually was broken, by the same people who'd broken them.
• "Get back here... Now."
• Reader shifted slightly, feeling the way the wind pushed at their wings, soft as silk and cold as the snow underfoot. Their foot goes back, then the other. Fear fills them, burning hot and sticky as tar, melting through any resistance they have, setting ablaze their paranoia and terror, which consumes them.
• "Reader. Come back. NOW!"
• Their foot only slides back by a fraction, yet that's all it takes-
• CRACK!
• The ledge crumbles beneath them, sending them down like a comet crashing to earth, their wings splayed in a futile attempt to slow the fall, then liquid night surrounds them, studded with freezing white stars and sharp crystals, bubbles and frothy pink left in their wake...
• The world around them is silent, wrapped up in snow and bathed in milky light when they awake. The wind brushes against them, sending chills through their half-drowned body. Water gurgled up from their lungs, splattering warm liquid and murky silt onto the frosted, rocky dirt. It doesn't take much more to drag themself up, their wings laid crookedly around them like a fallen cloak, and soon they staggered off into the snow-brushed trees, leaving behind nothing more than frozen anguish and freezing memories...
• They make it far enough as they travel those first few weeks, enough so that they stumble into a worn, wet shed, hiding away from the blinding snowstorm that roars and wails around them. The shed doesn't hold any heat, yet they can't force themself to look for better shelter. What they do find are a sharp, large pair of shears, rusted and cold to the touch. And Reader is struck by a thought, which soon turns to a decision-
• If they ever want to live, to hide amongst people and try to survive... their wings can't stay. Their wing that had been broken was even worse than it was before, possibly unfit for flight ever again... And the other/s isn't /aren't much better, worn and bedraggled. Both are heavy weights on them, useless now... So really... why keep them? Their wings won't be able to help them in any way anymore, and if anyone sees them, they're as good as dead. So with those thoughts in mind... they lift the base of their first wing into the mouth of the shears, and with a swift push and wet crunch-
• Their wing falls to the floor, ebony and garnet gore spattering across the floors and walls, their loss soon followed by a sharp scream... And then the next wing is hefted up, and the small world is soon bathed in red...
• When the snowstorm ends, Reader slowly stumbles out, their shirt torn and new gashes in their back, one less burden weighing them down. It doesn't take them more than an hour to find a small cottage, dusty and worn down, yet still cozy and warm from the harsh winds and frozen slush outside. Dusting off the few couches and chairs, Reader soon settles in, dragging blankets and sheets onto one settled by the small fireplace, curling themself up into the dryness and warmth the soft, fuzzy cloths bring...
• And slowly, they settle into the world around them. They gather nuts and rabbits and mushrooms they find over the next few months, slowly building up stock on the edible fungi and nuts, adding soft pelts and fresh fish as well, and take their findings to the snow-locked town beyond the wintery forest. The people don't ask many questions, aren't very open, but they happily accept the fresh food with little grumbling, paying Reader for what they brought. And then they keep doing it, even hunting small deer and foxes and fish for those who weren't able to reach the stores or catch any themselves... So they slowly start to accept Reader. They don't turn them away or charge them extra for food anymore. They start paying them a little extra for the better pelts and larger meats... Reader even manages to make a small business, bringing food to those trapped by snow and ice, being able to sell or barter shells and stones they pick up from a lake nearby...
• Yet after about three years... Their nightmares come back for them.
• Reader doesn't know how they were found, nor how their demons were the ones to find them, yet somehow, someway, they did... People, the ones they hoped they would never see again, who they wished would go far away, to disappear, were at their cottage. The moment they see them, they try and take a step closer... But Reader swiftly turns heel and runs, heading straight into the freezing woods that surround them.
• They don't stop when they hear shouting, nor when the sound of flapping and footsteps echo behind them. Even as their heart picks up speed and their terror burns through their blood, they don't stop. As the snow whips through the woods, sending frozen flakes falling thickly through the branches, they don't slow down. Their feet are swift, their steps unhalted by wings or doubts. Yet their steps are frozen when they something lands on them, sending them both into the chilling snow all around them.
• Reader struggles, trying to push themself up yet being unable. Hands soon press down on them, pinning them to the frozen earth. "Get off!" Reader yells, bucking and biting at whoever has them in their grasp.
• "Kid, stop fightin' me!" shouts a familiar voice, and Reader feels a new sense of dread fill them, sending them into a panicked flurry. "Kid, please, stop strugglin' fer a minute! Yer gonna hurt yerself-"
• Reader kicks out, soon clawing themself out from under their captor... who is one of their old mentors, one of their past abusers... Another one alights into the slurry of sharp white and biting ice, peering at them with sharp eyes. Reader hisses, backing away carefully, not taking their eyes off of either one for a moment... Then they're whirling around in a snow-dusted blur, scrambling past-
• Only to be caught by strong hands, which pull them back into the scuffed clearing.
• "Cub, just calm down fer a minute-! Ya aren't in danger, yer not gonna be hurt, yer safe-" Reader only screeches, wriggling and scratching at the hands keeping them from their escape. "Shhh, i know, I know, this is all scary an' new an' isn't the best way ta go 'bout this, but ya aren't listening to us-" One of the hands touches their back, then freezes. Soon the person holding them goes still, then their hands are tugging at their shirt, trying to get it off.
• "Get off me! Get off!" Reader screams, fighting harder, only for their other past mentor to hold them still. Something cuts through their shirt, tearing the fabric- And then their back is bare, save for the few bandages that cover their upper chest, showing their scars to the world.
• Something touches at their back, tracing one of the scars... and then the grip on then tightens, panic filling the voices of their captors.
• "Sh*t-! Kid, cub, what is this? What happened? Why- why can't I see yer wings- cub, they-they aren't here, where are they-?"
• Reader feels tears filling their eyes, their stomach twisting at being partially naked and unable to break free. "... I don't have them. Now... get off..."
• "Cub, kid, kitten, what do ya mean? Don't- they- they aren't... they weren't..." He trails off, a soft noise rumbling up. Reader feels another soft, cool touch along their scars, followed by a low whine. "No... nonononono..." The arms and hands are soon wrapped around them, upset noises warbling out like a distressed animal. Reader takes that moment to snap, struggling harder. They're dropped, only to be picked back up and held in a firm embrace. "No, no cub, ya can't leave, yer hurt, yer missing yer-" A strangled noise escapes him, but he continues. "We can't leave ya like this, cub, we can't. Now please, please, stop fightin'... please..."
• Reader only fights harder, scratching and snapping and kicking at the hold on them. A wounded noise escapes one of their captors, then in a moment, something sharp sinks into their arm. Reader freezes up.
• "Shhh... don't worry, 'kay? We just need ya ta calm down... It was only a small sedative, cub, just enough to help ya relax a little... That's it, just take deep breaths..."
• Tears trail down Reader's face, a sob pushing past their lips as they struggle further, shoving and clawing as they try to break loose from the firm embrace. That only earns another wounded noise, leaving Reader weakly hissing. Their head starts to feel clouded, their fear being smoothed out to discomfort. Another hand is carding through their hair, leaving them softly whining. Their thoughts keep slipping through, melting from frozen ice to lake water to soft puddles... They hiss one more time, weakly snapping at whoever... whatever... mmmm... something, that holds them... Their face feels cold and wet... Hrrrmmmmph... They feel all soft and cold and chilly an... hhhhhh... They eyes slip shut, their mind muddling further. Everything feels weird... it's all fluffy and wet and cold... but their back is against something warm, and something warm is on their head, aaaaand their head is feeling weird and syrupy and all sweet... Hhhhhmmmm... Heh.... Sweet and syrupy and honey and molasses and bees and...
• With a last tired sigh, Reader slips into unconsciousness, soon relaxing into the hold on them... The two older ferals can't help but wrap their cub up with one of their coats, trying to keep the already-freezing kid warm. The two trudge back through the thick sheets of snow, tracking down the kids who came with them... They find them still as stones, staring at an old, broken-down shed. They come closer, trying to figure out what's scared them... Only to find the remains of bloodied, broken wings, surrounded by blackish stained wood, the heavy scent of iron still clinging to the rotten wood...
• They carefully collect them, carefully comforting the kids and keeping Reader cradled against one of them while the other handles their cub's wings... When they start to head back, they realize they have a lot of healing to do for their cub... This time theyll keep them safe. They'll keep them warm, they'll take care of them, they'll accept what their beliefs- But they aren't letting them go back. They can't leave them alone. They can't risk letting them hurt themself further. They won't hurt them, they won't yell, they'll be soft and gentle, they promise. Maybe they'll have to keep their cub a little tired, enough to not fight them or hurt themself... Yet if it means they'll be able to heal, to feel better... Then it's worth it. They won't fail them again...

❄Fallen Snow🩸 AU... From the Platonic Yanderes' Persepective:
(Warnings: Its the ❄Fallen Snow🩸 AU, so expect abuse, neglect, blood, and a whole lot of guilt. The platonic yans who knew Reader in the past weren't nice to them, and while they do get better, they didn't get better until AFTER they thought Reader had died... Viewer discretion is advised... Kurt, Kitty, Fred, Todd/Toad, and Lance joined AFTER Reader's "death"...)
• They don't think they'd always been that bad. That hateful. Awful. Horrible. Terrifying. Cruel. But whether they were or not... they'd turned into something they didn't even recognize, something that was a shameful, guilt-ridden part of their past.
• For the adults (The Professor, Storm, Mystique, Wolverine, Sabretooth, Magento, and Beast), Reader was... someone they acquired through odd means. They weren't the only one they had brought with them, as there were two others, similar to them, and all three were feral mutants. Yet somehow... compared to how the other children were, their "siblings" and the other kids, they didn't quite click. The kids (Scott, Jean, Evan, Rogue, Pietro, and Wanda) didn't like them much, either.. For both groups, perhaps it was how they talked about odd subjects, or was off in their own little world half the time. Maybe it was their forgiving nature, always smiling and trying to be nice no matter what they all said or did. Maybe it was because Reader was everything they had wanted for themselves, but had never been able to have, had never been able to be... Either way, it led to an annoyance. A dislike for them and their cheery voice and soft eyes.
• With the adults, they found Reader odd from the start. A child no older than five who, despite being an experiment, was not like their "siblings", nor like the other children they had on hand. They were... sweet. Cuddly. Someone who just kept trying and trying to get along and be friends with everyone. They didn't seem to have a mean bone in their body. It made them feel... weird. That they didn't seem to understand they were odd, that they weren't cared about all that much. How could they begin to? They were loud, they were persistent, they never seemed to want to be alone and didn't get what was wrong with the world. Not to mention all of the questions! They were irritated most of the time with them, tired of dealing with the steady stream of constant love and inquiries and attempts to hug them.
• Over the years, it was easier and easier to wear then down, to get them to shut up and stay out of the way. Reader didn't seem all that bright when it came to social cues or sarcasm or jokes or how the world really was, and the kids took every opportunity to poke at those. A few jokes here and there, whispers between each other when they were alone, practical jokes at Reader's expense. It was almost funny, watching them try so hard to understand what they were doing and getting all upset over it. Yet Reader never got angry. Hardly acted like a feral, hardly used any of their mutations to win, to protect themself. They made it so easy to mess with them. It was second nature for all of them to do so. To keep prodding and jabbing at their insecurities and lack of knowledge, earning snickers whenever there was more than one witnessing it. In the present, they all can't stop hating themselves over how they acted. How they were the reason they were gone. And how they weren't coming back. And it was all. Their. FAULT. And they couldn't change it, no matter what they did.
• Being the pseudo "siblings" to Reader made them targets, an easy mark (Laura Kinney/X-23 and Kyle Gibney/Wild Child). So they made it so they were the ones over Reader, the ones who were in control. The ones at the top of the heap. They didn't stick up for their "sibling", and they didn't intervene when the other kids messed with them. Why should they? They did it, too. Reader was at the bottom of the pecking order, be it with the kids or with the feral mutants in general. Just because they were a part of them didn't mean they'd stop. Didn't mean they'd coddle them or let their weakness rub off on them. Shoving them aside and staying away from them was natural for them. It wasn't their problem, and they weren't about to lose their own place just to help the most useless mutant they'd met. In the future, they'd wonder why they weren't more attached. Why couldn't they have stuck by their side, protecting them rather than shoving them into the deep end? Without Reader... where did that leave them? They were the only other one like them, someone who had tried to comfort them and befriend them, never caring if they got hurt in the process. Never holding their own shortcomings against them. And now they were gone, and it was awful, and they had one less pack member to run with.
• For the two older feral adults (Wolverine and Sabretooth) to teach Reader had been a task. They were someone who would rather hug someone than try to fight them, a kid who had to be told multiple times what to do, had to be walked through everything, and who seemed to fail almost every time when it came to being aggressive. Their annoyance ran deep, which turned to resentment, which turned to anger every time they saw them. How was THIS creature anywhere near related to them?! How was this thing even worthy of their powers? They were useless, pathetic, weak. They had some points when it came to strength and bite force, but that was a drop compared to the ocean of mistakes they'd made. The river of problems they were. Hating them didn't take much more. And how they'd hate this, looking back on it. They were monsters. There was no other way of saying it. It was their own fault, for pushing and forcing them and always yelling at them. Always letting their cub know what they thought of them, compared to the others. And they were left with a rotting, agonizing self-hatred for themselves. If they hadn't been so hard... If they hadn't been so cruel... Maybe their kid wouldn't have been dead, with no body to bury or mourn...
• No one was quite sure what led to the wounding of Reader. Perhaps it was a scalding lie, or pointing their fingers at each other until it eventually fell on them. Or maybe it was because they could blame it all on Reader, someone who couldn't defend themself and who no one cared if was punished. But when Reader had been dealt with... They were a different person. Someone who shook whenever the adults came by. Who kept away from the other kids with no prompting, walking the other way when they came by. They didn't speak unless they were asked a question, and they didn't look directly at anyone anymore. And their face... Where the skin was once smooth and unbroken, there were deep, rouge-stained gouges, a mark of their new change. It was welcome at first. Finally, they shut up and learned how they all felt. Until-
• They left.
• They left, in the dead of a snow-washed wintery night, leaving as fast as they could and not looking back. And a few of them pursued, chasing after Reader, who they knew was going to be in the largest load of trouble since two weeks ago, when they'd been taught their lesson. When they found them, they were at the edge of some rocks, a river close by and roaring below, and they all felt their ire grow. The adult/s demanded they come back, so they could be done with it. But Reader just stepped back, their arms folding up against their chest, eyes wide like a fawn caught by a predator. They'd demanded again, then again, yelling-
• CRACK!
• The rock fell out from under Reader, who screamed, high and terrified-
• And they were gone, swallowed by the raging waters below, bits of red and pink dotting the foam and surface, soon fading as the river roared on...
• Then suddenly... they weren't so angry anymore. For once, they felt... scared. Hollow. Horrified. It didn't matter when the adults ran over, checking over the remaining ledge and scanning the icy waves below, shouting loudly. It didn't matter when the kids who were with them peered around each other, trying to confirm what had just happened had actually happened. Nor did it matter when they searched the shores of the river and found nothing, save for a few pinkish bits of foam and shards of ice, carrying the scent of iron and frost. All that mattered was Reader was gone... And it was their fault. They had- they didn't mean- it was an acci- what- No matter what excuse they thought of or fleeting emotion they felt-
• Reader was DEAD. And they had no one to blame but themselves.
• The adults after that were... quiet. Sullen. Almost as though in a trance, like they were stuck on that night, like they couldn't get over the fact they saw one of their own kids just die right before their eyes. The kids weren't much better, trying to seek any comfort they could, whether they saw the death or learned it had happened. That winter was blistering cold, as though even the elements were numb and in disbelief.
• This was something they'd joked about... This was something that a few might have talked about... But now that it had actually come true... They didn't feel like laughing anymore. If anything, they felt like crying. Like curling up in a ball and disappearing from the world. This was- it was their fault, wasn't it? Thats what they all believe. If they'd reached out, or- or tried to befriend them, or maybe just treated them better, hugged them back once, they wouldn't have ran, and they wouldn't be frozen in the river, lost to the cold and quiet and night. But... maybe if they even HAD stopped them from running... who's to say they wouldn't have tried something else? If they thought they couldn't leave... would they have done something worse? Would they have actually-?! They feel sick thinking about it, throwing up when they can't stop themselves from imagining it. It's a nightmare, what they're living, and there is no waking up from it.
• The adults slowly start talking again, interacting with them and calling them all together... But according to them, they all... They all are going to try and be better. They say they never should have pushed them so hard, they never should have yelled or forced or neglected their emotional needs. That what they'd been doing before stops there, and it ends there. From now on, things are going to be different. And this time, they're going to learn from what happened. That no one is going to make the mistake they made again.
• They keep their word. The adults grow into caring, more loving figures. They listen to the kids, who turn to teens, and help them. If their views are different, they don't yell or roar or rage at them, don't force them to agree, they simply agree to disagree, and let them know they're there if they need to talk. If the ferals go into their instincts, instead of attacking each other or turning against the others of the facility, they go to a special room where they can simply go through their urges, cuddling together and trying not to cry or hurt themselves for what had happened. The teens become more understanding, caring individuals, being friends rather than foes, and help each other, staying careful of each other's feelings and boundaries. The adults are there, always trying to steer them away from danger, hugging them if they want it (even if they don't), fixing them food if they're hungry, playing games with them, and when they train, it's as a group, as a family, rather than as rivals stuck together.
• Somehow, about three years after Reader's death, a few of them had been exploring at a new area, where the river had run by. It's cold, being so close to it, and it still haunts their dreams, along with a blonde child with bright eyes... Yet one of them finds something, caught in the branches near an old den, sharp and thorny: A piece of cloth, tattered and withered by the wilds, but speckled with rusted brown... When they bring the tattered remnant back to their home, it's inspected, but when the adult ferals look it over... Their eyes go wide, and suddenly their sniffing it, soon looking at them and asking them in a desperate voice where they found it. The moment they say where it was, the entire group is called together to discuss something they haven't discussed in so long... The piece of cloth, it has Reader's scent... So there is the smallest, tiniest chance that... Reader might have survived, after all.
• It doesn't take any prompting for them to pull some of their team members together to form a group to investigate the area they found the shred of cloth, and to scout out the surrounding towns near it. If Reader did survive... they hopefully wouldn't have left the region. And if anyone had seen anything odd, such as a child with claws or a wet bedraggled cat of kid, they would likely remember it (and if they wouldn't share what they knew, they wouldn't mind threatening them to make sure they had every bit of information about it they knew).
• Searching the region, it's clear to see it is mostly desolate of human life, save for small towns hidden in valleys and forests, full of snow-capped trees and icy slicks of ice, flakes of snow falling down like rain. When they stumble on a tiny town surrounded by chilly woods and freezing weather, is when they finally catch word of someone who might have been Reader... A lone child, always quiet and scarred, who brings in pelts and bones for a living... Investigating further, the people say the kid has a family, a sickly parent and a relative who takes care of their schooling when they drop by, but that they've never seen them before. According to the kid, their family is paranoid, leaving them as the only one who isn't afraid of going out and making ends meet.
• Well. It seems they have their lead.
• And when they find a cabin, old and worn and wet, the air is scented... And the smell is one they haven't smelled in three years. Soon, a person can be seen, a lanky teen with long, scruffy blonde hair and bright eyes... The moment they see them, everyone freezes.
• Seeing them again... Seeing how scrawny they are... The scars that mar their skin all over... The hunched shoulders and wide, scared eyes... A scent that turns sharp and acidic, tainted by thick, overflowing fear...
• "Reader..."
• In a flash Reader bolts, darting into the cold woods, not slowing even when they call after them, not stopping when they go after them. Reader keeps a step ahead, fast as a hare as their feet carry them over rocks and past patches of ice. Even trying to dart them doesn't work, the tranquilizer thumping into the snow beside them. The snow keeps falling, dusting them all in powdery white flakes as they follow. The teens who came along fall back when the two ferals signal them, letting then know they'll handle the situation... It doesn't take them much longer to find Reader, cutting them off as they block off either side of the small clearing. And what a moment it is...
• Reader is so... small, compared to them. It doesn't help that they shrink in on themself, their fangs bared and eyes fearful. They can see the scars across their face better now, sliced in and deep, a different color than the rest of their flesh. It's hard, seeing them this way. They're too thin, too shaking, too fearful. Even scars line their arms, as though made by an object rather than by accident... And they realize that even though Reader has been away, they haven't been much better off...
• "Oh cub... What did we do ta ya?"
• Trying to step closer only leads to their cub stepping back. It doesn't take more than a heartbeat for then to try to dodge past them, swift and desperate-
• But one of them manages to snag them by the back of their shirt, dragging them into a hold. They try to reason with them, try to talk them down from a panic attack, being as gentle and sincere as they can. But nothing works. No promises of peace, no begging to help them, no pleas to calm down and give them a chance... None of it works. And they fight them. Sharp claws scratch at them, all while Reader struggles, screaming and wailing and biting, not stopping in the least. They try to do things without force one more time... But when their cub only cries harder, they know it won't go anywhere. Their kid is too deep into their trauma, too scared, and the most merciful thing to do is to cut it short.
• The syringe is jabbed in, quick and sharp, and pulled out a second later once it's empty. Explaing to their cub that it was only a sedative makes them cry harder, a broken sob escaping them. Their struggles grow wilder for a minute- until it starts to slow down, as the drug takes effect. They pat their head softly, a hiccup escaping the cub as the medicine calms them down, making them tired and relaxed. Feeling the way they slowly relax, their limbs slackening and their breaths slowing, a tired mumble coming from them... It isn't what they want, but they can't deny how right it feels, getting their kid to feel better. To soothe them when they've been hurtin'. When the cub passes out, slumping into his arms, he's every bit careful and soft, picking them up and letting his brother lead the way back to the others, alerting them that they have Reader with them.
• This isn't how they wanted it ta go... But... If this is what it takes ta keep 'em safe. Ta make 'em feel better. Ta take care of 'em... So be it. All that matters is helpin' Reader, keepin' em safe an' fed an' well, makin' em feel loved an' cared fer. They might have ta be a little forceful about it. That's fine. They'll be as gentle as they can, an' make sure their cub can't hurt themself er others. They'll keep 'em happy, they'll make it so they know how much they care. Even if it takes a lifetime, they'll keep proving how sorry they are, how much they missed 'em, how much they love them... They might well be immortal... Who's to say their cub isn't, too? And this time, they're all going to be a family. No more fighting. No more rivalries. All of them, together, will make things right. That's a promise that they won't break, no matter what comes their way...

🥚Tiny Talons🐉 AU Backstory/Post One (Not for 🥚Tiny Heir❄, 🥚Tiny Sting🐝, or 🥚Tiny Animus🔮) :
(Warning: forced spell to turn Reader and the other teens/dragonets into baby dragonets, Reader has the mind of their older self but it's trapped in a baby dragonet body, unknown whether Reader was a friend, foe, or victim of the adult platonic yans, cute baby dragonet Reader. You have been warned...)
• Waking up, you felt... weird. Nothing seemed wrong, yet something seemed... off? You were warm, and could feel a blanket or fur wrapped around you, covering you completely. Your talons and tail and head didn't hurt, so it wasn't that. Cracking open an eye, you saw that your scales looked to be the same color... So then... what was wrong?
• You stretch, feeling your talons brush against the soft fabric around you. It moves around you, jostled a bit from your movement; it falls a bit further when you try to get up. You can hear the soft noises of breathing, the rustling of paper, a soft humming in the air... Curious, you slowly try to poke your head out... And are met with a large room, dimly lit, save for a few lamps and candles in the darker corners. You start to realize something, looking around-
• You don't recognize this room.
• You can't make out much due to the darkness, but you can make out some hanging forms and piles, placed in different areas... But that's not what makes you feel worried. No... You feel worried by the largest dragon you've seen, partially bathed in light, who is busy looking over a scroll near the lights... Except you know this dragon, and they aren't supposed to be that large...
• With a wriggle, you pull yourself out from the blanket wrapped around you, freeing your movement. You feel your wings/wingbuds twitch at the chill in the air, making you shift uncomfortably. It's cold, now that you aren't wrapped up... but you can't go back to being warm. Not right now. You need to figure out where you are. So with that, you start to walk forward...
• Yet as you walk, you feel... strange. You wobble, your body not evenly balanced... And when you move, your steps are small and short, hardly making a dent in your effort to move forward. Your tail doesn't seem to be of much help, nor do your talons, no matter how far they stretch or which way they tilt. You start to make a frustrated noise, feeling annoyed-
• CHIRP!
• Except that isn't your voice that comes out. It's... it's some high-pitched cheep, one more akin to a baby than a dragonet. Your snout wrinkles up, confusion filling your thoughts. Why did you sound like that? You didn't think you were that upset. And you hadn't been a baby in the last few years, so it wasn't like you could make that sound anymore. You try to say something, but it comes out in a warble, not fully forming any word that you know of... You feel you chest constrict, and you feel fear stir in you.
• Before you can start to tear up, large talons wrap around you, picking you up and up and up... Bringing you face-to-face with the dragon you were trying to reach. They smile at you, holding you up so they can look at you. "Well, hello. I see you're awake. Did you sleep well, baby?" You freeze, feeling dumbfounded and insulted. Then with a harsh chirp, you try to point out you're not a baby- "Hey, don't worry, don't worry... What do you need? Are you hungry? Or thirsty? Did something wake you up, little one?" You huff, and try to speak again- and only manage to make more angry baby noises.
• "Okay, okay, I get it, you're not feeling happy right now. Can you tell me what upset you? You're not hurting anywhere, are you?" Talons brush gently against your wings/wingbuds, soon rubbing gentle circles at the base... next they move to your talons, giving small squeezes and inspections... until they finally reach your head, tilting it slightly and watching for any signs of discomfort. When you show none, they simply press a kiss to your forehead, tucking you back against them. "You don't seem hurt anywhere... Perhaps you're still adjusting..." You don't understand what they're saying; you're not a baby, and why would you need to adjust? They carry you towards a desk, setting you down carefully, then turn towards the lights, which surround a few cubbies and cabinets...
• You try to move off the desk, feeling annoyed and upset, only for their tail to push you back into the center, tapping you lightly. With a pleased noise, they come back, sitting down a few odd items: Small cubes of fish, a few berries, a weird syringe thing, and a small bottle, filled with a milky-white liquid. They nudge the fish and berries towards you, a soft look on their face. You promptly stare at them, trying to convey your displeasure. "Baby, I know you probably feel a little weird right now, but you're okay. Are you hungry? I brought you some snacks. See?" They pick up a berry, carefully moving it towards your mouth. "Can you try a bite?" They're met with a snort. "Honey, I know you might not feel good right now, but you need to eat. Can you do that for me?" You can feel your tail twitching, nerves buzzing with panic and worry. You keep your mouth firmly shut, trying to turn your head away... Then their talons carefully push the berry past your lips, and the sweet tang of raspberries hits you. For a moment you forget yourself, happily chewing the soft red fruit, even making a demanding noise for another... Until it strikes you what just happened, and you start to panic.
• Why- why were you acting like a baby? You weren't one, you were four or five (12-15) years old, you weren't a hatchling-! Another berry is pushed gently onto your tongue, and your mouth moves around it without a second thought, licking it and swallowing it within a bite or two. Oh three moons it happened again-
• A soft hiccup escapes you, soon followed by salty tears, and in a moment you burst into a loud wail. Talons are scooping you up, followed by soft touches and small kisses, as they try to calm you down. "Shhh, shhh, it's okay, you're okay, honey, I know it's a lot to take in, but you're okay. Do i need to go ahead and give you your medicine early? I wanted to wait, but if you're hurting this much, I think you need to take it now-" You try to stop them, trying to tell them no, but all that comes out are soft whines and hiccups, causing you to cry harder. Soon something is pushed past your lips, flooding your small mouth with a milky, sweet flavor, which you thickly swallow. A claw carefully wipes at your mouth, followed by soothing rubs against your tummy and back. You try to ask what they gave you (which only comes out as a confused warble), but are only met with soft shushing and a small flurry of kisses and licks...
• "Okay, baby, it's alright... That should help make you feel better..." They gently pick up a few more berries and cubes, then take you to one of the large hammocks, nestling the two of you inside. You try to protest... but your head feels soft... really soft... A small whine hums in your throat, only to be silenced by a berry being tucked into your mouth, and your thoughts fade out as you gently chew the sweetly tart fruit. Talons stroke down your back, a claw rubbing your wings/wingbuds in soothing circles, until your breaths start to even out. One last time you try to communicate, try to tell them something isn't right-
• Yet that dissolves into a content sigh as your head is laid again their chest, hearing the rumbling and thumping heartbeat underneath. The world slowly starts rocking around you, gently swaying back and forth... a tired noise slips past, then with a blink...
• You're asleep, dozing calmly on the adult's chest.
• They grin, watching as their little one takes a much-needed nap. They know that their transformation was likely rough, probably leaving them a little sore, hungry, and exhausted... But it was necessary. They feel their lips snarl lightly, as they remember why they and the others did what they had done. The incident... the past... it had hurt a lot of their dragonets. It had wounded them, enough to break some of them, to make them numb, leaving behind scared, frightened, hurt kids, who were a thread away from snapping... The adults weren't untouched, either. No. They had to deal with the aftermath, the care and healing of their kids, trying to keep them going and healthy and alive, besides keeping themselves sane. And they were left paranoid, fearful, vengeful, over what had happened. They tried to heal things as much as they could, but... nothing really seemed to make much difference...
• So they used a more... unusual method. Magic wasn't their first choice, but with it, they could start over... They could make things better, could give their kids (and themselves) a happier life, one not haunted by past mistakes and drowning doubts or plaguing nightmares. They kept their kids intact. They didn't erase their personality or their beliefs or who they were- But they put all of that in their subconscious, so they could be unburdened, so they could have a chance to heal and feel safe and loved on and cared for in this new state.
• With Reader, a few times they thought that maybe they weren't affected the same way... Except they still reacted the way a baby dragonet should. They tugged Reader closer when they thought about it. Their little honeydrop was probably just having their mind settling. Adjusting their body and mind and thoughts to match their age. And what a cute little baby they are! With their small wings/wingbuds, their soft antenna, bright little eyes, cute noises, and their stubborn baby-ness. How could they not want to bundle them up and never let go?
• They shift their wings to shield the two of them, forming a small canopy above them as they settle down to sleep. They can worry about everything else later. Right now, a nap with one of their little ones sounds like the best thing they can do... So with a soft sigh, they wrap a blanket around them, tucking the two of them into a warm, sleepy cocoon as they slowly sink into a cozy slumber...

what about in a dragon au, reader was being raised by humans to be a weapon, like ‘don’t show emotion just kill’
and when the x-men just off handedly kill the human camp, not even knowing about reader, they find them?
Ooooooo... That's a good idea. I'll write a few basic thoughts down for it:
If Reader had been raised by humans to only be a weapon, then they likely don't think dragons are intelligent, powerful on their own, or able to actually beat humans. They don't know any better, as they'd only been a child and still WERE a child for as long as they'd been with the humans who'd captured them and "raised" them.
This Reader is a bit ruthless, yet seeks praise. They want care and attention, but they've been hurt enough to know they have to hide any softness or weaknesses, only able to act as a weapon, a beast of war, if they want to at least have food. They are slightly attached to the people around them, but only because they're all they know (and a small part of then hopes at least ONE of these leaders/users cares enough to not toss them aside or kill them...)
When they hear rumors from their handlers about how their have been dragon sightings in the area, Reader wonders if they'll have to face them. They don't realize other dragons are like them, sapient and intelligent beings, as they've been told all their life dragons are mindless creatures and beasts of chaos, and being told they are only smart and "good" because they were raised by humans, who are naturally dragons' superiors (which is all a lie, but Reader doesn't know that)... Except those so-called mindless monsters destroy the entire camp, killing and squashing and destroying any humans in their way.
And suddenly Reader realizes just how wrong the humans were, about being stronger stronger dragons. These dragons are large, a few even as big as mountains, some as tall as thousand-year trees, a few even have wings that stretch wider than their whole body... It's a quick, terrifying realization for them, having to find out that these other dragons are more powerful than any human kingdom and have more power over humans than their own royals and nobles...
By the time evwry human is dead or fled or captured, Reader is hidden, hiding in the remains of the underground dungeons, trying to survive their rude awakening into how dragon and human dynamics really are... Except...
They can hear one of their old handlers pleading for mercy above the vast, hidden dungeons, their voice loud and wailing. Even the camp commander can be heard, screaming and threatening death and torture... Until a loud SQUELCH is heard, followed by the remaining cries of the soldiers and handlers... Reader waits, hoping the dragons will leave and they can sneak out... Until something breaks through the ceiling of the dungeons, large, sharp talons, leaving behind a wide, crumbling hole... Making it so they can and Reader can see each other, shocked and stupefied...
The moment those claws reach to grab them, Reader snaps their fangs at them, hissing and coiling their tail. They can hear the high-pitched begging and cries of the handlers, who try to explain to dragons-
Only to be crushed in their claws, tossed down and broken.
Then Reader us being lifted up by one large talon, and then they're face-to-face with the biggest creatures they've ever seen before...
Who all just killed everyone they'd ever known...
And Reader promptly hisses at them, puffing up like an upset snake-
And are then being poked lightly by sharp claws and talons, soft churns and rumbling croons echoing like thunder around them...
...what the h*ck is going on?

I love reading your stories sm
Tumblr media
Oooooo, it's time, @danni1323! Are you ready...?
(Warning: Read the bingo card... This is the ❄Fallen Snow🩸 AU, so expect panicked Reader, dark scenarios, and guilty platonic yans... Viewer discretion is advised...)
This was the about the seventyeth time they had tried to escape. It had gone well at first, as they'd made it as far as the edge of the facility grounds lake... Until one of their old mentors had caught up to them.
The struggle had been fierce, with Reader trying to bite through the hands that caught them, scratching and hissing like a wounded cat, yet it was all for naught. The older mutant, Sabretooth, had pinned them, and had actually handcuffed their wrists together.
Suffice to say, Reader made their fear known.
"Let me go!"
"Cub, this is tha seventy-eighth time you've tried ta run from us. I don't want ta do this, but ya aren't listening. You don't have ta run. We'll take care of ya. I know we've failed ya in tha past, I know that. But ya aren't leavin' us again. I promise ya we won't hurt ya ever again. Ya have my word," sighs the larger feral, Sabretooth, who then starts to walk back towards where the facility is. Reader tries to tug their hand back, but they're only tugged forward, forced into walking with him unless they want to lose their balance.
"Kid, cub, please stop fightin' this. Yer only gonna hurt yerself by struggling."
"No!"
The feral let's out a small groan, but stops for a moment. He looks down at Reader, his eyes picking them apart... A new glint seems to form in them, then in a steady twist he hauls Reader up into his arms, soon holding them in a bridal carry.
"What do you think you're doing?!" Reader can't hide the panic or fear in their voice, nor stop trying to get down, all of which is met by a hand rubbing their back, while their handcuffed one helps hold Reader up, pressing them against their old mentor's chest.
"I'm keepin' ya from hurtin' yerself. I can't trust ya ta walk the rest of tha way, and I'm not goin' ta risk havin' ya bite yer hand off just ta get away from us. It's okay that ya don't trust us, that ya don't trust me. But I won't let ya hurt yerself er get yerself sick with worry er bein' out in tha cold. Now, just relax, 'kay, cub? I'll take care of everything," their captor rumbles, who then continues, carrying Reader the entire way back, petting them and making small promises. They're greeted by their other mentor, Wolverine, who only let's out a soft sigh and let's them in.
Reader could have lived with being stuck in their designated "room" for a bit, or being left to sleep as punishment. What they didn't expect was for the two ferals to bring them deeper into the facility, through the corridors and halls, until they reached a room that smelled of antiseptic and medicine. Reader couldn't help but let out a small, almost inaudible whine when they were brought in. The room looked a bit like a doctor's, with a large chair-bed-recliner thing, bright lighting, a table and cabinets with a sink, and various charts and graphs along one wall. They're less pleased when the one holding them sets them down on the chair/bed, humming softly.
"W-what are you doing?" Reader asks, voice wavering. They give a small tug to the handcuffs, but it does nothing. "W-what's going on?"
"Don't worry, cub. We know ya've been strugglin' with seein' us again, of bein' back here again. It's rough, we know. But nothin's been workin', nothin' we say or do or try helps ya any, er makes ya feel better. It's hurtin' ya, cub, and we can't let ya keep hurtin'. Just take a deep breath and lean back, 'kay? We need ta get ya settled before we can begin."
Reader feels their hear skip a beat, freezing up. Their breathing picks up speed, their eyes darting around as they try to find an escape, a way out-
Firm hands push them down, even as they start to struggle, scratching along the soft cushioning and the wrist that is cuffed. They're only held still, and soon they feel something thick wrap around their hand. A thick, padded strap, tying their other wrist down to the chair/bed they're on. A shrill scream escapes them, a wailing cry of total terror and panic. The two older ferals try to calm them down, but are met with harsh wrenching and struggling. Sabretooth trys to shush them, voice soft and pleading, while Wolverine takes another strap and wraps it around Reader's chest, limiting their struggling even more.
"Shhhh, shhhh, I know, cub, I know. It's all scary, but this is fer yer own good. We need ta keep ya still while we give ya yer medicine. Shhhhh. It'll only take a minute. We know, we know, it doesn't make sense to ya, but it will, okay? Just try ta take a few deep breaths, 'kay, cub?"
The two take that time to wrap thick padded cuffs around Reader's ankles, then moving up and strapping another around their stomach. Sabreooth slowly unlocked the handcuffs,, removing the metal bindings around both their wrists, soon replacing it with a soft, plush one, tying it down and rubbing his thumb across Reader's knuckles. When Reader tried to bite, wailing louder and crying, a pair of hands holds their head still, while another pair straps their neck down.
"Shhhh... We did the hard part, 'kay, cub? It's over. All we have ta do now is give ya yer medicine. That doesn't sound too bad, does it?"
A choked sob breaks free from Reader, and they feel a large hand wrap around their smaller one. They can hear shuffling, soon followed by the sharp scent of a drug. They feel their heart pounding in their chest, the weight of the strap only making it worse. They can't see either of their old mentors, but they can hear them and smell them, only adding to their paranoia.
"Okay, cub, we're all ready. Yer gonna feel a small pinch, and then yer gonna start ta feel a little sleepy. 'Kay?" Reader tries to say something, but only manages to hiccup, tears rolling down their cheeks. The hand holding their's tightens, rubbing and squeezing, burning hot against Reader's chilled skin. A sharp cold touches their upper arm, and Reader tries to jerk away, but the straps hold firm.
Then a sharp prick is felt, and the needle slips in.
A tingling, cool liquid enters, and one of them starts to count down.
"Ten... Nine... Eight... Seven... Six... Five... Four... Three... Two... And one."
The needle pulls out, and a small pat is given to their arm. Reader tries to force themself to stay panicked, to keep their terror and fear in their mind, but the drug slowly works it way in, numbing their thoughts up. They can feel their breaths gradually slowing, their heartbeats softening, their emotions slowly calming down. "Wh't... wh' d'd y' gi' m'...?" they mumble, their words slurring thickly together. Their muscles have relaxed, and keep doing so, furthering the spread of the sedative. Their face feels wet, and they feel tired. A yawn pushes past their lips, then they feel their eyes start to shut. They try to push them open, but only manage a small flutter before they fall close again. They feel all tired and doze-y... Their thoughts are foggy and cloudy and soft... Heh. All soft like a blanket.... or cloud... or a nice fur. Heeeeh. They like being all soft and cuddly. A small chuckle leaves them, and then they feel themself pulled softly under, falling into a quiet, gentle sleep.
"Look at ya, cub... Ya already feel better, don't'cha? Just take a nap, little one. Yer papa's here." He runs his hand through his cub's hair, marveling at how peaceful they are when asleep. His brother chuckles a little, a grin peeking through.
Their cub is so cute.
They deserve ta feel good. Ta feel loved. Ta feel calm an' happy an' safe.
Maybe they had ta use... harsher methods... but it worked, didn't it? Their kid is finally gettin' the rest they need, feeling' completely at peace an' unable ta feel scared er frightened.
It's worth it, isn't it?
"Sleep tight, cub. We love ya."
They patiently undo the straps, careful as they release Reader from their bindings. Once they're free, Victor picks them up, settling them against him. The two already alerted the Professor and the other adults about what they'd done, how Reader was feeling better. After all, it was their idea, wasn't it? And look how well it worked out. They take their cub back to the room they'd put together for them, and settle them into the blankets and sheets. One of them decides to stay with them, letting their brother go back to help their cub's siblings and let them know how it went. His arms are wrapped around them, keeping them pulled into his embrace. Their soft breaths fill the air, their scent that of a calm and snow and honey. It brings a smile to his face.
His cub sure is sweet, even after all these years. Sure, they had ta help them a bit, but it finally made them feel better, right? So why worry about it more than that? He knows they'll wake up, an' they'll have ta try again ta earn their trust, their acceptance... But maybe addin' a small bit of medicine ta their food will help them, yeah? At least make them sleepy er relaxed enough so they won't run away again. So they an' their group can try to rebuild their bonds with Reader.
Heh.
It sounds like a plan.
"I love ya, cub..."
And with that, he pulls them closer, snuggling his sleeping child and joining then in their peaceful dreams...
(Note: Sabretooth and Wolverine are brothers and platonic, okay? They just decide to both parent and be dads for Reader. Sabretooth's dialogue is in black and Wolverine's dialogue is in orange. I left it up to you decide which one cuddles with Reader/you at the end😊 Did you enjoy the fic? Please, let me know! And feel free to make art for this part of the ❄Fallen Snow🩸 AU if you want, okay, @danni1323? You and everyone else can make art for this and the rest of the ❄Fallen Snow🩸 AU and Multiverse, if y'all want to😊💛)

❄Fallen Snow🩸 AU... Part One:
(WARNING: Depictions and mentions of abuse, neglect, physical harm, self-harm, depictions and mentions of wounds and blood, self-harm ideation/actions, and Reader at one point is thought to be dead/almost dies. Viewers discretion is advised...) (Side note: Wolverine and Sabretooth are brothers, and their relationship is platonic, and Kurt, Kitty, Fred, Lance, and Todd join the X-Men/Brotherhood after the X-Men/Brotherhood lose Reader and have changed)
• They weren't always the way they are now. There had been a time when they were hopeful, happy, cheerful... Or maybe it was obvliousness, their subconscious the only part of them to understand that something was wrong.
• You can't remember much of anything past the age of five, but you remember some parts of your childhood. It was spent with a mutant group, ones who had taken in or had others like yourself, who were honed to be soldiers. To be unstoppable weapons. You thought they were good for the longest time. Too long, to be honest. You weren't smart back then the way you were now. You didn't understand jokes or sarcasm or much beyond facts in a book. You didn't really understand that the others, the kids and the adults, didn't like you. That they thought you were annoying. Useless. Simple. Someone not worth the effort. Someone unworthy of being with them. Someone unlovable.
• When training, you tried your best, but you weren't naturally aggressive in the way they said you should be. That for a feral mutant, you weren't much of one. You tried to be quick, tried to be kind, tried to go along with what they told you to do, who they wanted you to be. But you just... weren't that. You weren't ruthless, weren't violent, you cried when you killed a moth by accident, what was to be expected? But you still, somehow, did well enough to be allowed to stay. To not disappear. Or maybe they just couldn't be bothered to do anything about you, one way or the other.
• The kids thought you were weird. You looked weird, acted weird, talked weird. They thought you weren't bright. They certainly made jokes at your expense, you knew that, you simply couldn't understand the jokes and sarcasm they used. It hurt. It hurt, bad enough that you grew quieter, more sullen and downtrodden. You weren't as happy or talkative as you once were...
• It came to a head when you caught the ire, the hatred, of your two "mentors"... Two of the three adults ferals, the ones you heard whispers of late at night, talking about how you might be related to them, perhaps a clone... You weren't sure what you did, just that when they found you that day, you were dragged off into a lone room, given no explanation or warning. Their faces were filled with a blind rage, a freezing wrath, and the next thing you know you're being yelled at. Loud, furious roars, a tight, bruising grip on your arm, and no way out... And suddenly-
• SLASH!
• A searing pain filled your senses, and you're crying, trying to hold a hand to the wounds on your face, hoping to stop the pain, the hurt, the redredredred- They order you to stop crying, to stop wailing, or they'll give you a reason to. And so you cover your mouth as best you can, sucking in sharp breath after sharp breath, blinded by the blood dripping down your face. It stains the floor, once clean, a filthy, ugly crimson, garnet-colored ichor growing into a small puddle. They huff, but go to leave, only telling you to clean yourself up. And then they're gone, and you're on your own, and nothing is right anymore.
• Over the next two weeks, you keep your head down and stay out of everyone's way. No more talking than needed, no direct eye contact, and no being around anyone for longer than you're required. You weren't blind to it anymore, were you? That you weren't safe. That you weren't cared about. That you were alone. And with that realization, you grew to dread being near them, near the other kids and the adults and anyone else who was around. But... you had the beginnings of an idea. One that could end your suffering... It would be risky, but... At this point, you'd rather risk the threat of death than stay another day.
• It's at night when you make your move. It's quiet, dark, chilly. You aren't dressed for the weather, and you aren't prepared for whatever is out there. All you have are the clothes on your back and the boots on your feet. You make it mostly all the way, out of the compound, facility, whatever they called the place yo- they, lived in. There's snow out, thick sheets coating the ground and flakes of it dancing down from the sky. It's beautiful... You wished you could have enjoyed it, but there wasn't time to do so. You made your way from the field towards the woods, the icy dirt crunching beneath your feet...
• "Wh-? Reader, WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!"
• And then you're running, as swift and fleet as you can, as far away as you can run. Your feet carry you through the frosty woods, stirring up small bits of snow as you race by, the wind howling around you as you flee for your life. Sometimes your feet nearly slide out from under you, having stepped onto an ice patch, but you quickly right yourself and go faster, forcing yourself to keep going no matter what you hear or how much it scares you...
• Until you eventually reach a seething, ice-studded rocky outcropping. The beginnings of a river spill over a ledge, crashing into a foaming, roaring current, twisting away into the wintery night. You're stuck. And then the worst possible thing happens- they find you.
• "Reader. Get back here. NOW."
• You take a step back, pulling your hands closer to your chest. The noise is almost unbearable, being so close to the raging water so close to you. They only take a step closer, an angry, annoyed look on their faces... "Get over here. NOW. Or you're going to be in even worse trouble." A whine hums in your throat, a pathetic sound. You take another step back, and feel a subtle shift in the rock beneath you. "That's it, I SAID-!"
• CRACK!
• The ground beneath you breaks, sending you tumbling down into the rocks and water below with only a scream as your last words. And soon, all you know is the icy touch of water filling your lungs and the sting of rocks on your skin...
• You weren't sure how you initially woke up... You weren't sure you were even alive... But with a weak, gurgling gasp, you cough up the water sitting in your lungs, gagging into the dirt as you try to hold yourself up. When you eventually finish with one last rasping breath, you crack open your eyes, looking around you. You're by the river, lying in the dirt and rocks and silt of its shore, which is surrounded by endless snow-capped trees and endless sky. And somehow... You feel a small pang of hope. You made it, after all. You weren't dead. You were... free. Of course... now you had to actually get to where people were. Find food. Maybe drink some of the water from the river...
• You weren't quite sure how long you had stayed in the wilderness, scrounging up small, half-starved animals and barely surviving the few times you tried to take on larger prey. Having your cheek ripped open by an antler and having a bear bite through your arm weren't fun experiences, but you had learned that while you could hunt some prey, the larger, more filling prey wasn't what you could go after. You'd learned plenty of things from your time alone in the wild, but your loneliness still grew. It was always festering under the surface. You were glad once you stumbled into a small town, dragging yourself through an alley to spy on the normal going-ons of humans. You hadn't really seen or met a human since before you were five, and you only had the hatred of the X-Men/Brotherhood to explain them. Which led to your decision to scout the woods around the sleepy town, to find a way to read them before you met anyone. And what a thing you found: A small, dusty yet cozy abandoned cabin, just right for you to move into.
• And so that was how your first year was spent, foraging bones and rocks from the forest and hunting animals, selling their pelts or even the whole bit of prey to make a living. You came up with a small story for any townsfolk who asked about you, saying you had an ill family parent to take care of and a relative who visited from time to time to make sure your schooling got done (it was all a lie. You had to say something, and saying you were a mutant child who escaped a dangerous group of bigger, meaner mutants was a no-go). They more or less bought it. They didn't press for any information after that besides occasionally asking if the fake family members were okay. All in all, you had been doing... alright...
• You didn't reveal anything beneath the surface of your skin. You didn't talk about your nightmares, of being back with them, of being hurt, of being laughed at, of being killed- You didn't mention how you got hurt when you hunted, how you sometimes used your own claws to do the hurting for you, slicing them through your skin until blood ran like water- You couldn't bring yourself to deal with your panic attacks, your paranoia and inner turmoil, the fact it hurt to think-
• Yet it didn't last more than three years...
• You weren't sure how they found you. You weren't sure if it was an accident, or if they knew you were alive the entire time, or if someone tipped them off. Whatever the reason, it didn't matter, because they'd stumbled on the little town and had found you within a few days. Seeing them for the first time in so long... You only felt a rising, bubbling feeling of blind fear. It didn't matter if their faces went all weird and soft, or that they tried to get near you, you didn't care- You ran, you bolted, running deep into the woods and not looking back for a second. It didn't matter what you left behind! You had to move, you had to run, you had to fleefleeflee-!
• It shouldn't have surprised you when something thunked into the earth next to you, thin and sharp and leaving an odd smell behind. It shouldn't have surprised you when your old mentors managed to find you, their eyes dark with something that wasn't hate or malice... But you didn't think it would be any better. You know a few of the others, older now than when you last saw them, are close by. You keep your claws out, your face set into a fearful snarl, ready to flee or bite or scram at a moment's notice.
• "Oh, cub... What did we do ta ya?" You do your best to keep an eye on both of them, which proves difficult. They're on either side of the small clearing, each watching you with sharp, unwavering eyes. It doesn't help that when you try to move further away, as far as you can from them, they only move towards that side, keeping themselves in your way of escaping. Their scents are off, something dark and deep and somber, not their old usual fury and annoyance. Their claws aren't out, either... It's strange, for people who want you dead... (Right? They want you dead, to kill you, right?) "Shhh... Cub... I know a lot has happened... I know yer scared, an' yer hurtin', an' I know it's our fault. I know nothin' we do er say can make up fer it... But... please... please give us a chance ta help ya. Please... all we want is ta help ya. All we want is ta give ya what we should've from the beginnin'..." Your eyes dart between them fearfully, a soft whine building in your throat. This is worse than your nightmares. This is your nightmares come to take you back. And you can't have that.
• You try to dart out of the clearing, trying to dodge past the hands that go to grab you-
• But large, warm hands grab the back of your shirt, tugging you back into an iron grip. "Cub, calm down, please! We promise ya we aren't gonna hurt ya! Yer safe, yer okay, yer not gonna be hurt-" You don't pay it any heed, kicking and scratching and biting at what you can, doing everything in your power to break free from the arms keeping you captive. It does nothing. All that happens is the arms tightening and a flurry of panicked words filling the air. "Kid, cub-! Just, calm down fer one minute! We can talk this out-! Please, ya gotta stop fightin' us, ya gotta stop fightin' me! I know yer scared, I know, just, please-!" It doesn't matter what either man says, as all it earns from you is a fearful scream as you struggle harder. The scents around you are rife with sorrow, salty and cold and damp like earth after rain. You hear a wounded noise come from them, but you don't stop your attempt to escape the hold on you. A long, hurt sigh whooshes out, followed by the hold on you pinning you further.
• "I'm so sorry, cub... But we can't let ya keep goin' on like this. Yer hurtin' yerself. And we just can't let that happen."
• And just like that... something presses into your flesh, a sharp sting, which is gone just as quick. A hiss escapes you, your hands suddenly clawing so you can feel at where you were stung. "Shhh... don't worry, cub... It's justa small sedative... It won't hurt ya, all it's gonna do is make ya all sleepy an' tired..." Your eyes widen, then with a small shriek you try to tug yourself away. You can already feel the drug seeping in, a buzz at your skin and thoughts. The more you struggle, the more your thoughts cloud up, earning more movement from you as you do your best to snap out of it. Something akin to a sob breaks loose from you as your tugs and scratching grows weaker, the drug nestling into your system and numbing your limbs. Your mind keeps growing more muddled, thick and soft and syrupy... A hiccup pushes past your lips, being met by a hand patting lightly at your hair. It's weight feels good, the warmth sending you deeper into your tired state. When you try to speak, the words leave you, turning into a sleepy mumble, your body slumping into the hold around you. Everything feels quiet... barely there... So soft... So calm... Hardly any thought stays inside you as your breaths soften, the fear and fight leaving you as you stumble into unconsciousness...
• "Good cub... Just go ta sleep... We'll help ya feel better, that's it..."
• They're careful, one of them holdin' their kid while the other alerts the others, letting them know they have Reader with them and that they had to use a sedative to calm 'em down. It feels so surreal, seein' their once bright kid so... tired. So scared. So hurt. Bein' near 'em, even tha other teens, scared them enough that they were runnin' inta freezin' weather, all ta stay away from 'em. But... They can't let 'em go. Not again. The last time they let 'em go, they thought they died (maybe they actually did, and only came back due to their small healing factor...). They hurt them, they terrified them, they were tha reason they were afraid, the reason they were hurtin'. And now the kid was hurting themself. Was causing themself pain, with no one ta stop them er help them er let 'em know they'd be alright. They'd be d*mned if they let it continue. They'd be worse than dead if they left 'em ta wilt away on their own, ta slip off inta the blinding snow once more... They might have ta keep them calm, make it so they're relaxed enough so they can help them... But they'll do anything, just ta keep them alive. Ta make them feel loved. Ta be their family. And this time, they're gonna do it right...

For the ❄Fallen Snow🩸 AU, the older ferals had a large room renovated into a special room for them. And it looks like a giant cat room.
Literally.
The floor is covered in blankets and pillows, heating pads under the plush carpeting in case it is really cold. There are smaller rooms/huts inside, like those made for cats, with fluffy floors and a rounded dome to cocoon it. Scratching dummies and posts, and bridges spanning the walls and above the floor, cat-condo-like structures all over the place, one in the center, one in each corner of the room, full of small rooms with padded walls and platforms with soft rugs, even hammocks large enough and strong enough to hold all of them. There are plenty of plushies too, for the younger ferals, when they can't immediately have the adults with them. (They missed/miss Reader, and having plushies made/make them feel better, just a tiny bit, so they could/can hug something and pretend it was/is Reader, and that they could be around them again).
Have the adults ferals sometimes put the younger ones into their instincts or drugged them before, so they could cuddle them and take care of them completely without any fuss or crying due to guilt or doubts? Yes. Have all of the ferals fallen into their instincts and spent that time acting like pack animals or littermates, snuggling together and grooming each other and napping in one snoozy dogpile? Also yes.
Logan/Wolverine and Victor/Sabretooth did everything they could to become better, so they wouldn't fail the other kids, especially their remaining cubs/pups/kits. They knew they would never stop having nightmares for what they'd done, and the guilt would never leave, but they would do their best to help the remaining kids, and take care of them they way they should have from the start. So did all the other adults, too.
When Reader is found and brought back, they have plans to get them to relax in this room, and if needed, they can get Hank/Beast to help trigger each feral's instincts, or they can sedate Reader, too, maybe both, so they can all try to work on building up trust and rebuilding their relationships. All they have to do is take it steady and slow, and be patient. Be loving. Be gentle. This is what they've wanted to do since that awful night, and now that they have that chance to right their wrongs, they aren't about to turn it down...

Yandere Wolverine and Laura and baby reader who's a squirrel mutant
That is so fr*cking adorable! Little chittering squirrel baby and their two wolverine guardians. They so give them all the best nuts: pecans, cashews, Brazil nuts, almonds, etc. . They can't help it! The baby needs to eat, and they like nuts! Let's do this:
They had a new mutant at the Institute. One who was a feral, like them.
Well.
Not entirely.
They had a big, bushy tail, two small, perky ears, and little buck teeth. They were a squirrel mutant...
And also the cutest one they'd seen.
Laura enjoyed their company. They'd tell her anything and everything, sharing small rocks and pebbles and coins they found while eating a bag of almonds, their little nose twitching every time she made them laugh. She liked them even more because they weren't scared of her, or her history. They gladly accepted what she told them, with them promising they wouldn't trade her for all the nuts in the world (even the yogurt and chocolate covered ones). She saw them as her own buddy, her own little sibling, if nothing else.
She just sometimes wished her father would let her be with them in peace.
He was taking a tray of cooked, buttered pecans out of the oven, earning a thrilled squeal from the small child, who darted into the kitchen, watching with wide eyes as her father set the tray down to cool.
Logan liked the little fuzzy feral. Liked them even more when they got along with his daughter. It certainly helped that they had manners and had wide, warm eyes. (He wasn't soft, no siree). (Yes, he was). He had taken to making or purchasing novelty nuts, giving them to their resident rodent. He smiled every time they thanked him, then tore into the bag like a wolf on a fresh kill.
The two realized a few things when they almost once fought over their little squirrel-ling.
One, they both cared as much as the other.
Two, they woukd do anything to make them smile.
And three...
They could share with the other, thus upping their protection by double.
They WERE family... and they'd happily be family with their little nutty squirrel child as well. Heaven help the poor idiot who tries to upset them...

for a naga au, have you considered having the reader be a human, that the x-men thing is a baby who was born deformed so they got abandoned? So they’re like “poor little dude, abandoned. But I can help!”
and reader just here panicking
Oh h*ck yeah! And worry not, they have excellent healers and their own venom, which helps speed along growth of naga traits- Oh, Reader will be in for it, won't they? That being said, let's see:
You weren't sure how this happened.
You didn't think snake people existed. Yet here you were, in a large, hidden nest, full of smaller snake people, and being watched over by larger ones.
The largest of them are giant compared to you, their tails long and winding, splayed over the cavern hidden behind a waterfall you'd lived near. They keep making concerned noises, poking at your legs and making small hisses each time they bent or jerked. The smaller ones would have likely been your age if human, but their tails, while smaller than their elders', were still long, as thick as a small tree in some places. The colors among their scales ranged from lilacs and pinks to oranges and blacks, grays and browns to blues and golds. Every color you could think of was there, with some of them being iridescent or pearlescent.
Why were you there?
You made the mistake of rescuing one of the smaller ones. It had been caught in a trap, a large net that kept its form suspended and away from the ground or trees, tight enough in some places to cut through their scales. You'd found them, writhing in pain and hissing desperately, and while you knew it was likely deadly and might have venom... It was part human, it was a living being, sentient. It deserved to be free, to not be hurt or displayed as a trophy. And with that, you loosened the ropes from where they were tied, soon releasing the creature with a loud THUMP. For a moment it looked at you, eyes wide and curious, before it slithered off, back to wherever it came from.
The people who had set the trap found you, your hands stained with a bit of the blood that had been on the ropes, and had immediately chased you. It didn't matter how far you ran or where you tried to hide, they hunted you until you had nowhere left to run and nowhere left to hide. Just as you thought you were to be killed, tossed off the waterfall into a rocky pool below-
HIIIIISSSSSSSS!
Giant versions of the creature you saved came hurtling from the water, fangs flashing down as they tore into your would-be killers. You managed to hide in a tangled bush during the bloody fray, hunching yourself down and into a ball and staying as quiet and still as possible. The noises of the fight drifted over the rush of water, until it finally died out with a loud CRACK. Shivering, you buried yourself deeper in the dirt and leaves, praying to be left alone...
Only for large, clawed hands to snag you up from your hiding spot, a surprised hiss coming from a large snake thing. It had dark eyes, and orange and black scales dotting its face and shoulders. It's tongue flicked out, almost as though scenting you, only to immediately feel at your legs.
You kicked out at it, reflex more than anything.
It froze, eyes wide, and with the loudest cry, it called the other snakes over. Whatever the problem was... it had something to do with your... legs?
They just kept, poking at them, making sad and scared noises, while looking between each other and back at the waterfall. Eventually they seemed to reach an agreement, and forcibly brought you with them, kicking and crying out the whole way.
Which led to now, being tucked into their nest, alongside the smaller snake creature you saved and its companions, who were watching you carefully, all while hissing between each other and one of the adult creatures watching over you.
You'd lasted for two whole days without sleep before you were squeezed between the coils of the adult who first found you. It was trying to make gentle hisses, tapping lightly at your neck, then your knees. You weren't sure what it was trying to say, until one hand was holding your head still, the other holding your wrists together.
"No, nonononono," you mutter, trying to pull back, yet the creature just tightened both its tail and claws, and just as quick-
It bit you.
A pained yelp escaped you as you felt the rush of venom enter your veins, and tears entered your eyes as you struggled. All the creature did was press a kiss to the wound, using the hand previously steadying you to stroke your hair, making soft hisses and rubbing its cheek against yours. It was getting harder and harder to stay focused, the heat from its scales and the steady rhythm of its caresses and nuzzles soothing a part of you, while the other part felt hazier and hazier. Soon, your head felt stuffed, as though full of cotton, causing you to slump into the grip around you. A pleased noise comes from the bundle around you, further putting you at ease. Everything feels so warm... So calm... All sleepy and soft like a small bunny in its burrow. A relaxed sigh leaves your lips, being met with a rumbling purr from around you. And just as soon as your eyes slip closed, youre met by a soft, gentle darkness, sweeping you into quiet slumber...
(Can y'all guess which X-Teen they saved?)
(To answer which X-Teen they saved... it was Scott. And he was the first to think, "oh, wow, they're a deformed naga, poor little guy.. Aaaaaw, they saved me! So cute💕 Wait, I need to tell the Professor and Logan and Storm and-")

For Villain!Reader, I was imagining for their power/mutation/s to be something linked with mind control, pheromones, and possible some stingers or venom, like a bee or wasp or hornet. (They definitely have bee-like powers, and a mutation, but they don't have much proof at first to what their powers are based on). They never wanted powers, let alone the type they ended up having. They're unsure if anyone ever likes them for them, if any person around them will hurt them or abuse them, and fear they'll be used again by those who would hold power over them or blackmail them into doing their dirty work.
(WARNING: Mentions of self-harm, self-harm ideation, and abuse. Viewer discretion is advised...)
They thought they were insane, the first time they used their power, to protect themself from a thief or petty villain or abusive adult, only to find out they could see into that person's mind... Reader would spend the next several years defending thenself as they were used as a pawn by an older villain (an oc) who forced them into making minions, lest they kill another one of their family members. Reader hates their powers, but hates them even more. They've tried everything to rid themself of it, ripping stingers from their nail beds, bashing their head into walls, severing any connections in their mind to who they infected, no matter the pain or terror it caused them...
One day, though, heroes, maybe even other villains, show up, and go to take down their abusive boss... Reader watches from the shadows, doing their best to disengage traps and hunting down anyone who had darts full of their venom, or tests on their pheromones... The heroes do their best to stop this new and dangerous villain, but... lt seems no matter what they do, it doesn't faze their foe in the least. No matter what they throw at them, no matter their scheme or plan, it does nothing to stop this wicked villain... Until Reader comes up from behind them, a small shadow. Their powerful foe grins, saying how their most perfect minion has arrived-
Only to be scratched by sharp, gleaming stingers, dribbling bright venom into their bloodstream. They hiss, soon going into a violent meltdown, screaming at the top of their lungs. The heroes aren't sure what's going on, neither are the villains, but the moment they realize Reader's power had been used (they weren't aware what it was), they keep their distance, watching warily as their ultimate enemies screeches plans of vengeance and death. Reader escapes in the chaos, running as fast as they can so as not to be caught if someone followed them. The fires they set in the labs had grown, spreading soon to the halls, and the building was filling with smoke and ashes. They manage to find an exit, and prop it open, opening a few more around the building before they flee, escaping into the night.
The next few years they spend trying to rebuild their life, learning how to sever any mental connections (they can always hear the wails on the other end-), creating art and finding odd knick-knacks and old items to sell, getting a small job in a little coffee shop, where they can help put their OCD and hobbies to good use. It seems good, if only for awhile. It took them YEARS to finally shove out the voices, to take control, to try to free any caught up in what they did. The time doesn't lessen the pain of what happened to them, the loss of family, of friends, the self-mutilation done by their own hand, the hours spent crying alone, sleepless nights and endless days of trying to find a job, books, anything to give them something to start anew, to get a better life...
And all of that comes crashing down when they find out heroes are looking for their old alias.
Reader does their best to stay calm, working through trying to keep their head down and covering any hidden strings and threads that could lead to them. But apparently, it seems that that doesn't stop them from being discovered, someway, somehow...
Their confrontation is small, Reader staying tight-lipped in silence as the hero/es and/or villain/s remark that they've heard a lot about them, their exploits, what they did under their old boss... And reveal they know they're a kid. That they figured out what their powers did, from their defeated boss and those infected under them. And that they want to help them.
Reader would be wary, saying that they have no idea what they are talking about, who they've mentioned, and that the old alias they mentioned sounds better off dead. The hero/es/villain/s interrogating them eyes narrow, and they make a statement about keeping in touch. And just like that- they leave, stalking off, leaving Reader to their own devices. Reader is frightened, breaths wild and erratic, and they take the chance to hide, having a breakdown. After all those years, all that time- They were found. And if they weren't careful, they could be dragged back to face comeuppance for their past.
Over the next month, they have various heroes and villains approach, trying to coax them into talking, opening up conversations over their own past, some going as far as to say they aren't so different... They know where Reader is, going to where the coffee cafe they work at is to try whatever drinks and foods they make, making polite compliments on whatever they've tasted, having a delighted look when a coworker points out Reader made what they were trying. Even the thrift stores and antique malls they frequent, having a booth where they sell and trade their findings, even handmade items such as blankets, small plushies, ornaments and magnets, even paintings, they're there, ready to talk and try to catch them on their own. A few ask what they did to make them, others offer tips (words and change), and plenty of the heroes and villains buy some of their creations. (Especially bee-themed objects, as it reminds them of their old alias, whom some actually fought or chased on several occasions).
Reader eventually reaches a breaking point, where they pack up any useful items, all of their money, and whatever necessities they need, and go to leave where they've hidden out... Only to find they're being followed by the same people they were fleeing from. When they catch up, they point out they'd be happy to have Reader with them, that they certainly wouldn't mind a chase like the good ol' days... Reader shrieks and makes a run for the woods. They're scared out of their wits, they're being pursued by people who could have a grudge against them and want to use them, and don't have anywhere to hide. Getting cornered into a fight, they don't want to engage, but... They can't stay, and they sure as h*ck can't be caught.
And the moment their stingers are out, the platonic yan hero/es/villain/s are smiling, saying how they're glad their favorite little bee is getting back into the hang of it. When Reader goes to back out, quickly letting their stingers slide back into their nails, they can see the annoyance of the platonic yandere/s. Who point out they aren't afraid of a little sting, that they can take whatever Reader throws at them, so why not go ahead and let out some stress? When Reader backs away, trying to slip into the shadows, well-
The platonic yandere/s isn't/aren't having any of it.
"Come on, kid... I've tasted it before, and I'm not afraid of it. If anything... it feels pretty good. I've missed hearing you. So why not fix that?"
And that is how Reader learns (guesses correctly) how far their venom and pheromones had gone. It could let others, those stung or who inhaled/were injected hear THEM, as much as Reader heard them, becoming soft for them as they found out how they hated what they did, how they did their best to stop their boss' evil from the inside, how they hurt themself- And it seems plenty of them grew attached through a bond Reader hadn't realized they'd severed from their old foes...
"So, how about it, kid? Let's catch up, hmm?"
Which leads to Reader having to try to escape from a web they didn't even knew they'd weaved...
(Example of what the platonic yanderes went through (those infected or telepathic, anyway:
Reader desperately wants hugs and reassurance, is hurting due to ripping out their stingers again, and has been crying for the last three hours:😭💦💔🖤😫
Infected Platonic Yan Heroes: Kid, please just let us in! We can give you plenty of hugs! We can even throw in heated blankets and cookies! Just PLEASE stop doing this to yourself and let us in!
Infected Platonic Yan Villains: Bee, please open up the (mental) door! We don't want to have to hunt you down to strangle (hug) some sense into you! We can get rid of your boss! THAT would make you happy, right?! H*ll, that crazy *sshole is locked in a special prison only Fury, Wolverine, the Professor, and Iron Man know about! We can break in and break them, yeah?!
Telepaths who can hear all of this, and are unaffected: Oh sweet heavens, get a grip! And child, please, please calm down. We will try to find you (hopefully adopt you and give you therapy), just please take down your walls for only a minute!
Reader, feeling a headache at their mental block: slams it even harder, severing several connections and leaving those severed in pain
Platonic Yanderes (all of them): ... Well, it seems we need to pay our little friend a visit... Someone distract Fury while we go out-
Later
All the infected heroes, villains, and unaffected-but-concerned telepaths seeing each other at the train station:👀
Everyone: Who the F*CK told you about this?!)
Any ideas for Reader's old villain/anti-hero name? Maybe I can hold a poll for it?

Yandere Wolverine and child reader who is a cat mutant. It's kind of like Brutus and Pixie
Aaaaaaawwwwww! That is so adorable! Yes, I can do that:
There was a small fluffy thing sleeping on top of him.
That small fluffy thing was a small cat mutant, no older than six, purring away contentedly and kneading their hands against him. Their tail was curled around them, keeping their feet, tipped with small claws, warm from the cold.
Logan found it quite adorable.
He wasn't one to let others near him, let alone when he was asleep, but...
He'd make an exception, just this once. The little kitten needed sleep, so did he, and the added weight and warmth on top of him was making him relax. He can't help but pet the kid softly, a rumbling purr coming from him when they relax into his touch. They really seemed to like cuddles, didn't they?
Heh.
That made two of them, not that he'd ever say it out loud.
Lifting a blanket up, he wraps it around the small kit, then tucks them under the covers with him. For being so loving, he'll help warm them up, too, and scare away any monsters or nightmares they have. And, if anyone tries to wake them up before their rest is over... that person will find themself being threatened by a tired, angry Wolverine, who doesn't feel like playing nice...

Pietro and Wanda: *fighting over to reader*
Magneto: Come along little one with your grandfather
Pietro and Wanda: Step away from the child.
(Call me Silver)
Gotcha, Silver Anon! And yes that basically how it went😂😅
The Maximoff twins may argue and fight like no tomorrow, but they do care about each other, and they will drop any grudges between each other to keep Pietro's future child/Wanda's future nibling safe, and away from Grandpa Magneto.
Bonus:
Magneto: Come, grandchild, join the Acolytes. We have cookies and gumbo (made by Remy)
Wanda: Don't you dare taint my nibling with your lying words and empty promises!
Quicksilver: Dad, stop trying to steal my kid! Get some other tiny child to terrorize!
The Professor: Hello, child, it is I, your other grandfather. Would you like to visit my school? We have lemonade😁
Quicksilver: STOP TRYING TO STEAL MY KID, OLD GUY!😡
Wanda: WHO KEEPS INVITING HIM HERE?!😠
Magneto: I did. Charles, meet my grandchild... Wait... What makes you their grandfather, too?
The Professor: Naturally, as your friend, that in turns makes me their other grandfather, as it is good for children to have more than one grandparent ☺
The Maximoffs: ...
Magneto: You just wanted to have a cute grandchild, didn't you? So decided to take mine 😑
The Professor: ... Yes. Now, please hand over the child
Pietro, Wanda, and Magneto: Maximoffs, ASSEMBLE! aims to attack the Professor

Could you do a crow reader? Like they got the wings, love shiny things, I’d imagine like star magic and I’ve read that crows have a lot of anxiety. Overall, a poor anxious crow who’s probably scared of the platonic yans 🪦
Ooooo, poor Crow Witch! Reader! They'd definitely have extra anxiety due to the platonic yans, not to mention being an obvious hybrid. With star magic (I'm going to say reading the stars and finding out future events, maybe making small stars, being able to make wishes on stars, by making a special charm that as long as you have it, grants whatever you wished). May I call you Crow Anon?? Let's try it like this:
• Being a bird hybrid was hard. Always wanting to collect shiny objects, constantly having to keep your feathers clean, trying to keep a neat and tidy shop, trying to not get aggressive or anxious with less-than-polite humans... You certainly had your work cut out for you.
• You had the magic of the stars on your side. Being able to make small stars, make wish-granting star charms, even being able to divine future events or moments from the stars. Not to mention stars were quite popular with humans and hybrids alike, so you were never out of business! But... you had had some... new... customers come in... And they acted really odd around you.
• They weren't mean, nonono! Yet whenever you mentioned a mean customer or sour anti-hybrid protestor or recounted a past problem- they got this strange look in their eyes, a dark look, as though they were plotting on how to, well, destroy whatever had caused you grief. But that's crazy! But still...
• The moment they found out about your wishing star charms, they'd asked if they could purchase some. It wasn't much issue to ring them up and package them, nor to give careful instructions on how they worked... You even mentioned you had one or two on you...
• After that, things got better for you! Any mean customers suddenly seem to have an attitude adjustment, any anti-hybrid bigots dissappear, and your business is even more popular than it was before! You wonder if maybe your odd customers had something to do with it... Nah. Why waste a wish on a little shop with a spooked crow? Yet you can't help but wonder if maybe you're worrying about the the thing...
• You see them more often, your weird customers who always talk to you and pull you away to explain an item to them, who never leave you alone when they're around. They seem happier, perhaps almost smug, in a way. They don't mention what they wished for, but they do ask if perhaps you have made any wishes yourself...
• You had before... but those wishes were... well, they weren't the sort you admit to having made. They were for protection, from well- everything. One to protect against homophobes, one to protection against muggers, one to protect against robbers, one to keep you safe from drowning, one to keep you safe from fire... Even one to protect you from perverts and the worst of humans and hybrids... But... If you mentioned those, then someone wouod know, then someone could wish they weren't with you or that they broke, and then you'd be unsafe, and then-!
• You worried, okay? You didn't make it this far without being cautious.
• The problem happens when a rival, a human witch, pops up, and tries to... "partner"... with you. When they dont take no for an answer, they threatened you, saying they could enchant you to be loyal to only them, or curse you to go blind, or they could make you into a real crow-! When your new friends suddenly appear, eyes darker than before and smiling sharply, they offer to handle the rude witch... The rude witch had paled, yet stopped fighting and snapping... And when your friends take them away, well...
• You realize that you might need to add an extra protection wish... The question is... is it for them or is it for you?
