hey!! How have you been?
I’ve been trying to write something with a ghost reader but it is so difficult, idk how you do it haha :)
(Just wanted to check in since I’ve been kinda taking a break from tumblr, aka not scrolling endlessly every day:( )
I'm doing alright! Better than I was a week or so ago! And thank you, but I'm sure you can do it! Inspiration for ghost!Reader just has to hit you! And I've been doing my best to avoid the internet, or the parts that trigger me. Certain topics make me either spitting mad or terrified, and it can take hours to smooth the emotions out to normal. I hope you are able to enjoy some other hobbies, such as reading a book, or drawing, or listening to music! Even watching cartoons, if that's good for you! I'm glad to hear from you again!

Okay, I've been imagining another darker version of an X-Men Evolution AU, where they were all experimented on/held captive at some point. And now I'm going- "oh, well that's that's idea-"
It gives us half-feral Logan and Sabretooth and Beast, the teens who would be either sweet but psycho, gremlin-esque, or very dangerous, if not all three, you have more volatile Magneto, you have a Professor Xavier who isn't above getting his hands dirty to save all of them from the h*ll they're in... or to at least make miserable those who come too close...
And then there is Reader, who's trying to keep their own sanity, all while trying to fight the growing panic they feel, being trapped by an illegal experimenting group or organization, and feeling more conflicted when their fellow captives seem almost insane at times... Reader tries to be friendly, tries to care... And it does make them someone who's viewed as a friend or sibling or child/cub, rather than a nuisance or enemy...
The problems start when Reader gets hurt, the labs are facility face an uprising, and Reader is hiding from everyone, scientists and mutants alike...
I'm calling this... 🌑Hidden In The Dark💉 AU...
(If anyone has questions about this au, feel free to ask...)

Okay, I about to make a part two to this request-
Yandere Wolverine and Sabertooth with fem teen reader who tries to reject their powers (same powers as wolverine and sabertooth) and tries to avoid them, wanting to be a normal kid?
(Sorry if this is confusing, ignore if you want. Have a good day/night!)
Oh yes, that's it! Good job, anon! (But I only write gender-neutral Reader). Should I call you Feral Anon? Anyways, yeah, they wouldn't leave alone a Reader who is just like them (as they can't leave each other alone because they're the only other mutant who matches their feral instincts and rages). The idea of a Reader who won't even try any of it, that makes then curious, if not concerned. So they want to take them on, be their mentor (if not their dad). Let's try it:
You were a mutant.
The problem was you were a feral mutant.
Feeling urges to hunt, to hurt those who hurt you, to run wild and free and never stop, to assert your dominance and submit when faced with someone you trusted-
It was too much.
You did your best to push it down, shoving it deep inside where it couldn't surface, where it couldn't hurt anyone. But moments like this really test you-
"Kid, ya need ta feel yer emotions. Ya shouldn't bottle 'em up. It'll hurt ya, kid," advises a mutant, a feral one who calls himself Logan. He says he's with a group of mutant peace keepers called the X-Men, and that they wanted to help you. The problem is, you didn't want to be helped.
"I'm fine," you reply, curt and to the point.
Maybe you're not as fine as you say you are, but you're not about let him know that.
"Kid, yer lying. I can smell it on ya. Why're ya so adamant about this?" he sighs, huffing lightly. He seemed nice enough, but still-
"It's none of your concern. I'll be fine," you push, and he drops it for the time being.
Wolverine wasn't your only problem.
So was another feral.
Sabretooth.
"C'mon, kid! Don't ya want ta let loose? Let yer rage take over? It'll make ya feel better," he says, chasing after you. You'd made the mistake of being on your own, and now were running from a feral mutant more intimidating than Logan.
"No!"
"Why are ya so stubborn?! Ya feel it too, don'tcha?! The rage, the fire, that bloodlust!" yells the larger mutant. He growls, but stops talking, going back to a silent pursuit.
These situations happened a lot. Not that you wanted them to, but they did.
What drove you crazy was the fact they DIDN'T STOP.
Not once.
Sometimes you took to sleeping in your closet just so you could feel safer, less watched. But you just knew that it was delaying the inevitable.
After all, if they were like you... They didn't like taking "no" for an answer... And after being rejected so many times... You think they've about hit their limit...

could you do yandere wolverine (haunted mansion AU) and teen reader, where reader finds out he is a ghost and freaks out? Also loving the ideas for this au they’re great!!! - 🐦‍⬛
Oooooo, that sounds fun! I think I know how to do this one! Let's do it-
You should have figured this out sooner.
A lot sooner, really.
An old, decrepit mansion in the middle of nowhere, with a full graveyard with enough headstones and mausoleums and graves that should have given you a clue. Even the people you met were weird, dressed in clothing from decades past in some cases, and who always seemed to be either burning cold or freezing hot...
And you'd only just found out that one of these people, one who you trusted and almost saw as a dad, was a ghost.
And he'd been dead for over a century.
You were, how to put this... Freaking the f*ck out.
"OhheavenfrickfrickfrickwhattheH*LL-!"
You weren't doing too well with the news. Neither was your friend/kinda-dad? who just walked in-
"Kid, pup, calm down, it's okay, it's okay," he tries, approaching you as though you're a wounded animal. Which you're not, but you're just as scared as one.
"I'VE BEEN IN A HAUNTED HOUSE! A HAUNTED HOUSE FULL OF GHOSTS! WHY WOULD I CALM DOWN?!"
You don't mean to yell, but you're crying, your shaking, and you're trying very hard to not throw up from all the anxiety you feel. Logan comes a little closer, and is soon pulling you into a firm hug, your face buried into his shirt as you cry. A cold hand is rubbing circles into your back, followed by soft humming. It takes awhile, but eventually, you're calm enough to pull back little.
"I'm- I'm s-sorry, I'm s-sorry," you sniffle, trying to dry your eyes. You feel bad, especially since Logan hasn't ever done anything to hurt you, and he's never gotten too mad before. You're just- you're shocked. And scared. And worried. And wondering if anything you said might have offended him, or the others.
"It's alright, pup. It's alright. This is probably a lot to take in, huh?" He's met with a small nod from you. "And you're not unwelcome here, kid. You're safe, okay? If we wanted you gone, we wouldn't have let you keep coming back. Now, would we?" You shake your head. "See? We like you, pup. We love you. Now, I know you're worried, it's only natural, but you won't be hurt, okay? Let's get you some rest, alright?" You let yourself be led to a room, where there's a bed covered in soft blankets, even a few furs, and feel yourself carefully pushed down until you're sitting amongst them.
"It's gonna be okay, pup. Just let me take care of everything, alright?"
You nod, and soon you're leaned backed, covered in the soft fabrics and furs, and you're tucked under the covers. As your eyes drift shut, you faintly hear thunder come from outside...
"Sleep tight, pup... Papa won't lose you again..."

hi I hope can you can a yandere scott and jean with child reader haunted mansion au please.
Hahaha, yes! So, Reader in this, I'm imagining they are a random kid who was dropped off at the wrong house. Let's see how it goes-
The house was really cold, you'd noticed.
And dusty.
And old.
It seemed rather large, with too many doors and too many paintings and too many mirrors and too many cobwebs to count. It seemed... abandoned. Lonely. And it made you scared. You were trying not to cry, you were trying to be a big kid, but it was hard when every time you walked the floor creaked, and spooky noises came from deep inside the twisting halls.
You were rather happy, then, to see someone. A tall someone, who wore bright red glasses.
"Hello? Can you hear me?" you called, your voice a loud whisper that echoed in the vast void of the room. That caught the attention of the tall person, who was a older teen. He looked pretty shocked to see you.
"What the...?" he said, then came closer. It was quite apparent now that you were tiny compared to him. Yet the moment he was near, you latched onto his leg, hugging it. "Um, hey, kid? Um... how. How did you get in here?"
"I was left here. They said this was where the babysitter was," you answered. He was really cold, almost freezing, like snow. It was weird, but he seemed nice. "Are you the babysitter?"
For a moment he looked conflicted, then he scooped you up, holding you rather gently. "Um, yep. For tonight. My name's Scott, what's yours?" He carried you through the different rooms, until you reached a dining room, setting you down on a chair carefully. For a minute he seemed to flicker, but it must have been a trick of the light...
"Oh... I'm Reader..."
"Huh... that's... that's a good name. Did you need anything?"
"I don't kn-"
"Scott!"
Another teenager soon appeared, one with bright auburn hair, who seemed happy to see him. The moment she saw you, her smile only widened. "Aaaawwww, hi, sweetie! Who are you?"
"That's Reader. Reader, this is Jean, Jean, this is Reader. We were just trying to see if they needed anything," Scott explained. He rubbed his neck sheepishly. "They were, uh... dropped off here."
"What?" Jean seems almost confused, then angry, then calm again. "Okay, I see... Well, let's take care of you, okay, sweetie?" she says to you, and you shyly grin at her. She seems nice.
"Can we play a game?"
"Um, sure, kid. What game did you have in mind?"
"Whatever you want, okay?"
"Um... what about hide and go seek?" you offer. That's met with two nods, and you quickly add, "Can I hide first?"
"Of course. Just... let's play outside, okay? I don't think all the rooms are clean in here, and we don't need you getting sick," Jean explains. Scott nods, and you simply race them to the door. When you look back, they're both closing their eyes, starting to count.
You giggle, racing out the large doors and working your way into the yard beside the large house. It's full of weird rocks and stones, with names carved on them, along with numbers. And there's even one with your name, scratched in and with some sweet words under it... But you decided to hide behind the two that have Scott and Jean's names on them, with rhyming words. It takes awhile before you hear them come out, the only way you know it being them calling, "Ready or not, here we come!"
It doesn't take too long for them to find you, after looking around the different stones and slabs and bushes. And when they do find you, you laugh-scream when hands suddenly pick you up, hugging you tightly.
"There you are!"
"Here I am!"
After that, you're soon put to bed, being kept in a small room with a smaller bed. The blankets smell a little old, and the room is slightly warmer than the others, but you settle down, lulled under by the story being read to you by your two new friends...
When you wake up, your parent is worried, quickly grabbing you and almost running through the halls and out the door, not stopping for a minute. "Where are we going?" you yawn, rubbing at your eyes.
"We're going home, baby, okay? I'm so sorry I left you here all alone, I thought this was the right house!"
"But I wasn't alone..."
Your parent's face goes pale, almost like a ghost. "You... there were people there?"
You nod your head.
With that, they start the car, speeding down the long, long driveway and out into the lonely road. You'd only later find out, when you're older, that the house, a mansion, had been abandoned for years... and that no one was living there at all...
But that didn't mean the dead weren't...

Asks Are Open, for the moment. Ask about the 👻Haunted Mansion🔮 AU, the X-Men/Gargoyles AU, or even about the Gargoyles AU. Those are what I'm currently working on right now, so if those aus interest you, feel free to ask questions. You can send in a request or two, but those are limited at the moment. (Feel free to ask about certain characters if you want, too). Have a great day!

For the X-Men/Gargoyles AU (where the X-Men are set in a Gargoyles-esque universe, but they take the place of those characters), I think I've figured out the new dynamics. This is different from the Gargoyles series, because trying to fit a few X-Men into one character's place was very difficult. So what did I do? Changed it around a bit.
Let's look at it this way:
Logan/Wolverine and Ororo/Storm take the place of Goliath, being a couple or good friends, while Victor/Sabretooth and Raven/Mystique take the place of Demona. So each pair is a friend to the other or a sibling, but aren't romantic. So, Logan and Victor are brothers, Ororo and Raven are sisters, but Logan and Ororo are really good friends or mates, and Victor and Raven are really good friends or mates. Take your pick.
Xavier becomes David Xanatos, and Magneto becomes a mix of Owen Burnett/Puck and Fox, and surprise, they're reincarnated gargoyles this go (which wasn't in the show, but this is my au, so it goes). They're like a cool, mysterious older couple, who always seem to know something Reader doesn't (they know a lot of things they don't, but they'll reveal everything in due time...) (Victor and Raven know, too, and it's the one reason they haven't tried to kill Reader... with the information they have, why would they?)
Hank/Beast takes the place of Hudson, Gambit takes the place of Brooklyn, Kurt takes the place of Broadway, Evan takes the place of Lexington... Bronx, I'm not sure if any of the X-Men had a pet (I'm using X-Men Evolution for this, by the way), so I guess I can add an extra teen... so let's go with... Kitty (why not?).
Reader takes a new role, which is... different to Elisa's. They do some detective work, possibly, but as a teen, maybe. Or maybe they're an assistant to Xavier. They could just be some random person who happened to stumble into all of this. But they take the main character role, I guess, who isn't a gargoyle (they were one in a past life, though, so do with that what you will)
Scott and Jean take the place of Matt Bluestone as well as Coldstone and Coldfire. They're Reader's older friends, (and are the reincarnated spirits of two of the long dead gargoyles from the Wyvern Clan Massacre). Rogue is also their friend, and is like a mix of Morgan the cop, the chief of police, and Elisa's family... (maybe she is related to Reader? maybe not? and she is Kurt's long dead sister reincarnated... so that makes her Raven's daughter, but a human in this new life).
Lance, Todd/Toad, Fred, Pietro, and Wanda are here, too. They might be a version of the Pack (a kid/teen version), they could be a gang similar to one in the series, maybe they're just also random people dragged into this mess. They are there, and that's that.
Now, I say this would have it's own 🌕Longest Night❄ AU, which would be where the adult gargoyles (the reincarnated ones too) are affected by a magical artifact, during the long nights of Winter, and go about surprise adopting (kidnapping) their reincarnated kids... And their gargoyle kids are affected too, but are in a hatchling/younger state of mind. So they aren't going to be much help to Reader or the others. Let's just hope the long nights ahead don't last... And if they do, how do they stop them?
(Ask any questions you want about this au, I'm working on it right now, the Haunted Mansion AU on a break while I work out the main au branch...)

Doing the X-Men Evolution version right now, and I'm excited to work on the main au, but I'd happily hear your asks and work those in as their own aus (or possibly part of the main au, depending on which character you ask for...)
I would love to see how you would expand upon the haunted mansion au!! It has so much potential and it’s so good
Thank you! I'm glad you liked it! Honestly, I imagine each ghost character has their own backstory, era, and macabre death...
I'm not sure how many characters knew each other in life or not, but I know for certain that yes, Magneto and Xavier knew each other, Logan and Victor knew each other, Scott and Jean knew each other, and Gambit and Rogue knew each other, too. (And Laura is still related to Logan! She is in this, too!)
If I were to use X-Men Evolution as the chosen media, then there would be more tragic deaths involved, with Reader being seen as a sibling by the teens/tweens, and the adults being overprotective due to how exactly everyone died. Lighter tone, but still a somber undertone.
If I used X-Men: The Animated Series as the chosen media, then it would have darker and more dramatic deaths for the ghosts. Not to mention the majority would be adults this time, so you have all of them trying to parent the Reader or be an older sibling to them. Darker themes, and a little more trauma are to be expected if I took this direction.
You have the X-MCU, and that would have dramatic/terrifying deaths and disturbing themes. Surprise, there are kids and adults, all of whom are stuck there together, some hold grudges, but all are willing to save it for after the Reader isn't there. Extra over-protective and some possessiveness. Gets really dark, really fast.
I haven't set much in stone yet, but I can say I like the X-Men Evolution version, simply due to at least some slightly healthier relationships than the other two possibilities... I might do an au for all three medias, but as of now, the 👻Haunted Mansion🔮 AU is on the backburner. Not forgotten or abandoned, just in need of some TLC...
Buuuuut... as a sneak peak...
The three who end up as the Hitchhiking ghosts would likely be (if we do X-Men Evolution): Kurt, Kitty, and Todd.
Those three would be the sort to actively leave the mansion grounds just to follow Reader around and see what the present world is like after so many years (and spy on their new friend/sibling). Like to play jokes on each other, and the Reader, move stuff around their home, and as compensation for scaring the other ghosts by leaving, they tell them all about what the world has become, and how Reader lives and acts outside of the mansion and its grounds...
Other bonus for you😊:
Reader is a reincarnation of the ghosts' old friend... But the question is... who did Reader know, and how did they die...? And... do the ghosts know who they truly are?
(I hope you enjoyed this! Thank you for your kind words, and for taking the time to ask a question! I love answering them! Have a good day, and drink plenty of juice and water😊💛

The platonic yans (plus reader) in a 👻Haunted Mansion🔮 au would certainly have their work cut out for them. So many happy (and unhappy) haunts, plus the one living member of the bunch, the reader, who would take the role of the groundskeeper. Just tidying up the gravesites, laying fresh flowers, cleaning tombstones, trimming back vines, and possibly exploring the mansion and crypts when the weather turns unfavorable and they're still on the clock...
They'd probably meet the ghost platonic yans around the graveyard, near their grave, doing their job. At first it would be quite the fright for the reader, seeing another person, especially one that looks so out of place, in a decrepit gravesite on the grounds of an old mansion in the middle of nowhere. Being timid and polite, the reader makes small talk, asking if they are from around the area, and if they are aware where they are... And as the small talk goes on, the platonic yan/s realize that the mansion has a newcomer, namely, one that's more lively than the rest of them...
Over the course of it all, the reader isn't sure if the person/s they are talking to is just a weird owner/guest of the mansion, or an actual ghost... When they find themself leaving in the early hours of the morning, when the mist shrouds the ground and the dawn has barely begun, that the name they were given sounded familiar... And so it goes, over their time working there, that they come to meet the many different platonic yanderes, never quite sure if they're just weird, or if there is more to them than what they say. But they would rather not know: Imagine finding out you just talked with a dead person. Who you have proof of talking to. Who, coincidently, you cleaned the grave of, and laid flowers for. Who also may have died an odd, terrifying death. Yep. The reader feels paranoid every time they go near the place, but what can they do? They only work there, and they can't make anyone leave. So they're stuck putting up with the strange going-ons of the manor...
And the ghosts really like this groundskeeper! They tend to stick to the outside, where they manage the graves and clean what they can, always being very polite whenever they show up to check on them... And, on the occasion they do come inside... they get to have them stay longer. They only dare come into the mansion when the weather is bad, so it feels like a guest visiting, or having a friend or nibling or child around... And they get to talk about their history, and the lives they lived at the mansion, while making sure their darling is warm by the fireplace and drinking some tea they made. It feels nice, for them, getting to have a regular visitor who is so nice to them...
They are aware their darling spooks rather easily, which gives them a slight chuckle... Their bby, who's afraid of anything that might be haunted, decided to work for an antique mansion, working in the graveyard, taking the night shift? They find that to be very amusing. They aren't mean about it, but they do tease their darling a little. And it does feel nice to have their bby's warmth clutching onto them when they hear a creak or clatter through the old halls...
They don't want to frighten their darling, and if that means keeping their little "secret", then so be it. Just don't leave them. They couldn't stand to lose their sweet, timid darling... They'd love it if they could keep their darling on the mansion grounds, but they'd rather not force an incident quite yet... After all, their bby will always hurry back, eventually...

I'm taking a small break from the Gargoyles fandom for a bit, and am moving to the X-Men 👻Haunted Mansion🔮 AU (specifically the X-Men Evolution one). So if you're curious about that au, now is the time to ask about it... (I'm getting into a spooky season mood, so why not go to my favorite dark ride/movie-inspired au?)

I will do a part three to the custody battle Platonic Yan Gargoyles AU, but I also had this thought...
What if Reader was a gargoyle, too?
That makes things a bit different. Especially since instead of Elisa or Xanatos trying to take care of Reader in the beginning, Reader is already with the Manhattan Clan, which has Goliath, Brooklyn, Broadway, Lexington, Hudson, and Bronx. Elisa joins slowly, so she'd likely be the human most trusted around Reader, but this happens over time... Now, there are two ways Gargoyle Reader's backstory can go...
They could have either been frozen in stone by The Magus when the others were, caught up in the panic and fighting before they could notice what was happening... or they could have been with Goliath, and saw the aftermath of the sleeping/stone spell, thus choosing to be turned to stone so as not to be away from the last of their clan... Either way, it leaves Reader with them, until a thousand years have passed...
Reader, at the most, would likely only be a few months, if not a year, younger than the Trio (Brooklyn, Broadway, and Lexington). Reader could very well be the same age, but either way, let's say Reader was very empathetic. But after waking up, realizing the massacre wasn't a daymare, and they and their remaining clan members were all in a strange, foreign land with odd buildings and weapons and science... They grow a bit more wary. A bit more closed off. They're still doing their best to remain their old self, but it's hard, staying strong after losing most of their clan...
It gets worse after Demona is revealed to be their enemy, and that Xanatos is not their ally. They can trust Elisa... They hope they can, anyway... But seeing the horrors done by humans, learning their history, finding out they might be the last of their kind... It does something to them. Leaves them a shadow of themself. And while they brush off any concerns, Reader tries to keep it together. It's all they can do now...
The others noticed they're not doing well. And while the Trio can keep Reader distracted every now and again, they're not sure their rookery sibling is entirely there. Sometimes they are caught in the moment, enjoying themself- and the next they're quiet, a small frown on their lips. And it concerns them. Reader always tells them they're fine, that they need to keep in the present... But when it's clear that Reader isn't getting any better, they decide to tell Hudson and Goliath. They're their rookery fathers, so they should know what to do...
Hudson tries getting Reader to spend time with him, hoping perhaps hearing tales of the past might make them feel better, if only for a minute. Even getting them to watch TV and see what Manhattan has to offer. Goliath tries to offer advice, even asks Elisa about some of the symptoms Reader shows... The best she can say is that it sounds like they have survivor's guilt, and explaing it as best she can to him...
Suffice to say, Goliath does his best to get Reader to see their worth, their value, to realize that it's okay they survived. Hudson and the Trio do the same, and it slowly seems to work. Or at least helps soothe some of Reader's fears... (as well as some of their own...)
In this au, Hudson and Goliath do acknowledge the Trio (and Reader) as their kids. And they act like mammalian or some reptilian parents at times, protective and cuddly with their children, dangerous to their enemies, and very involved in trying to keep them alive and well. So they purr, they churr, and they will cuddle together, especially if any of them are wounded, especially the younger ones... Sometimes they might hunt, but it's a bit hard, being in New York, to find any good prey... And any humans who dare attack them are dealt with, as soon as possible... If Goliath and Hudson have to hide this from the young ones, so be it. The four shouldn't have to worry about anything else besides what's already known. If the two of them can ease some of the burden, then it's only right they do so...

For the Platonic Yandere Gargoyles AU, if Reader is Elisa's ward from the first post I made, I wonder what would happen if Xanatos caught wind of it, and decided to get to know Reader... And after getting to know them, let's say he would potentially try to have a custody battle over them, and that would NOT be pretty.
Reader can choose who they want to be with, yes (I'm going with Reader is a teen, so they have to have a legal guardian). But Xanatos has money, connections, and can make the lives of everyone else hard or downright awful, if he wanted. Elisa can possibly catch him in another crime, but he wouldn't be held for long, and the cycle would start again. So, what does Reader suggest?
Split custody.
It isn't a perfect solution. But it leaves no room for argument. David and Elisa won't have to fight it out, and Reader doesn't have to feel pressured (or worry if they're about to earn the wrath of anyone). (Reader wouldn't, no, never, but they survived a horrible crime or witnessed one, so they're imagining everyone as a possible enemy, even if they like them).
Begrudingly, Elisa settles for it. It's the only solution that won't leave Reader without a guardian or take them away from her completely. Xanatos plays it off, but for all anyone knows, he planned for this scenario. And Reader is now dealing with two guardians who do not like each other, but only try to show their best side to Reader...
Elisa is pretty good as a guardian. Making sure Reader takes their online/homeschool classes (due to what happened to Reader, it was decided that kind of education might be best), letting Reader sometimes go with her to different parts of Manhattan, getting Reader and the gargoyles to be friends, even teaching Reader how to cook... Not to mention she encourages them to follow any hobbies they have, especially if those hobbies might relieve some of their trauma. She's kept a lot of things she does secret from them... Such as studying the crime that involved them, and her investigation of any clues or leads to the criminal/s who did it... Watching Reader every now and again when they sleep, because she worries about them, especially when they talk in their sleep, begging someone to not do something, to not hurt them... If she tells the gargoyles about it, it isn't hurting Reader, and the faster they catch who did this to them, the faster Reader won't have to live in constant fear. It doesn't escape her notice how they pull away from contact, the panic when they fear they've done something wrong, the wariness in their eyes and posture, like a wounded animal trying to appear brave... She likes them. They're a good kid in her eyes, who was dealt too heavy a hand. And when Reader finally trusts her enough to tell her their story, what really happened to them... she let's them squeeze her hand as tight as they need, and is pulling them into a hug once they're done. She's glad to have earned their trust, at least enough of it that they'd tell her this... And if she decides that Reader is safer being with some of the gargoyles while she's busy at night, then it's just being a good guardian, a good friend, a good parent...
Xanatos likely only wanted Reader at first because they were someone Elisa cared about. Then because he found out the gargoyles were becoming friends with them. Being Xanatos, he had many, many plans to get on their good side, to sway their favor, to win them over... And each one... fails. It's almost funny, how Reader seems to see through him, seems to know when he's trying to pull one of his tricks in front of them. And he likes that. That it isn't easy, to get them on his side. Xanatos likes a challenge, and if Reader is someone who doesn't fall for his plans... that makes them that much more worth it to him. Except... getting to know them, he grows slightly... attached. They're not easy to extract information from. What he can tell is they don't trust anyone, not completely. No one. Not even Elisa, or even the gargoyles. He's tried to twist that in his favor, and used it against them... But even they're aware of it, and to them, they're in the same boat as him: trying to get Reader to trust them, more than just the barest crumbs of it. Perhaps Reader is talented with something: painting, music, poetry, even being sly... That only adds to his interest, only makes him want them as a ward, perhaps an ally... Trying to pry them from Elisa, though, proves difficult. Not impossible, no. But he does want them to like him, and that won't happen if he rips them from the only guardian they have. But then they come to the conclusion he had already reached: Why not let BOTH of them be their guardians? It wouldn't hurt. And it gives him the time to prove himself a capable friend, if not a possible... parent...
This is not to mention Goliath, who also wants a chance at being Reader's guardian, and is trying to find a way to help them feel safer around him and his clan... And once he knows Xanatos wants them, is getting involved...
Thus begins a three-way battle for the custody of Reader, who is praying to the heavens and whoever/whatever is listening to calm down the... care? of these adults... At least they're all friendly so far...?

Hey there, Beast Anon here! I know it's been a hot minute, but if it's alright, I just wanted to ask how you're doing? Everything going alright?
Hi Beast Anon. I'm doing okay. I've been taking some time to focus on my mental health, and trying to handle everything going on outside of this. I'm okay, and will be alright, it will just take a bit of time. I hope you are alright. I am glad to hear from you again, and I hope everything is okay. Thank you for checking in on me😊

hope you’re having a wonderful break!!
I am! Well, I'm enjoying it as best I can. Just having to give my mind a break from the horrors of the world. So that means I've been focusing on doing thi gs that calm me down or make me feel better. I hope you're doing well, too, @crowwithguns. I'm working on a few ideas for the Platonic Yandere Gagroyles AU, which includes a Dark AU, where Reader ends up in a dark timeline or reincarnates, and the Longest Night AU, where a magical artifact messes with some of the characters and influences them to be overprotective and obsessive... So it basically turns them more platonic yandere than they already were. If you have questions about it, I'll do my best to answer, but I'm only working with Gargoyles for now, as it's what I'm watching to cheer myself up. It's pretty good!

I'm back for a bit. I won't be on here very long, and I'm only working on the Platonic Yandere Gargoyles AU right now (the series, not the X-Men AU one)... I might close asks again, but for now, I'll leave them open. I'm still taking a break, but I will post whenever an idea hits me...

Two thoughts came to me, regarding the Platonic Yandere Gargoyles AU, so this will be the first idea I had: If Elisa was protecting someone/had someone put under her care...
I'm imagining this would be someone (a preteen, teen, or young adult), who either saw a crime and are unsafe, as the one who did it is still after them because they're a witness, or Reader could be someone who survived a crime. Reader would be vulnerable, but so closed off due to what happened, that they have a hard time trusting anyone around them. They believe just because someone acts like they care doesn't always mean they do, so they struggle when trying to figure out if Elisa really is good, or if she will hurt them or use them to her own advantage.
What would Elisa think of all of this? She would feel angry, at whoever scared or hurt Reader. She'd feel protective, in a way, especially if Reader is younger than her. She wants to know what happened, so she can help catch who did the crime that scarred Reader, but Reader is very tight-lipped. And she thinks no one, especially not someone that young, should ever feel unsafe around those who can help them. She'd act like a really protective, understanding older sister. If Reader was younger, she might even act like their mom or aunt.
I think she would slowly try to introduce the gargoyles to Reader. Or try to bring Reader up a few times, especially if it's a talk about taking care of younger siblings/kids. She wants them and Reader to be friends, but she isn't sure what's best. On the one hand, it's going to happen eventually. Reader knows she is seeing a few people, who she says she's trying to help around the city. On the other hand, Reader has a habit of getting paranoid if they think someone is lying. So she does her best not to lie, and wouldn't want Reader to close themself off because of hiding the gargoyles. An idea she has is pretty simple: Let the gargoyles see Reader from afar, and let Reader see the gargoyles during the day. So they can all get used to each other.
(She tries not to laugh when Reader sees their statue forms, because they lit up like a Christmas tree, and she hasn't seen them that happy, ever). And now she knows that Reader doesn't mind gargoyles. Now, showing the gargoyles Reader, she does her best to explain what she can. And she would feel more sound in knowing them when they see Reader doing things to help people, or simply to help Elisa (and maybe she didn't even know they did it). So, now she knows that so far, her new friends and her ward seem to like each other from afar. Thus leads to...
Introducing them.
And she feels a bit nervous the entire time, especially since it's dark, and she doesn't want Reader to be scared or hateful of her friends... Except when the gargoyles awaken... Reader is quiet. But they aren't screaming or running or recoiling in disgust. No... They're simply watching. Giving proper introductions isn't hard, it's just a bit... quiet. Let's say one of them asks why Reader is being shy... And Reader responds that they're just... they're not scared of them, they don't dislike them, they're just... a lot bigger than them. But they do find them pretty cool, and Elisa has only ever said good things about them, so they'll believe her on that.
Thus, the gargoyles have a new friend/sibling, and Elisa gets to have them all be friends.
(And also added protection for Reader, once she realizes that if anything happened to her, they'd avenge her, so if anything happened to Reader... yeah, she thinks it was a good idea to be friends with them).
(And let's say Reader eventually tells them all what happened to them or what they witnessed. And they're holding Elisa's hand the entire time, trying not to cry. The crime they witnessed/were subject to was horrible, enough so that they've never been able to talk about it until then. Elisa only knew a little, from evidence that had been gathered and what Reader said in their sleep, but otherwise? This is the first time she's heard the entire story. And it makes her want to cry, too. The gargoyles are possibly there, too. When they hear what happened... some of their eyes start to glow, and there is brimming, boiling anger and protective instincts about to overflow. But they do what they can to offer comfort, and to listen. Reader is reassured once they've finished, that no one thinks less of them, and that they're loved. And now that they know what the perpetrator/s look like, and possibly their names, they can now bring them to justice... The group does hug, and for once Reader feels safe, after what happened to them...)
(Once whoever did the crime is found... if it's Elisa who finds them, she will either bring them in, and they stay in jail, due to Reader's story/witness now being known to the NYPD... or she will help the gargoyles hunt whoever did it down... If the gargoyles find whoever did it... They have no qualms in ending them for good. This person/s hurt one of their own, and a young one, at that. And that is not forgiven... No matter who actually catches or ends the one/s who did it, they let Reader know that the person/s aren't around anymore... And if there is a bit of red on their jacket or claws... It's only from a minor injury or a small cooking mishap. There is no need to worry about it...)
