Sweetspo Saturday
Hi y’all, so today is sweetspo Saturday.......
it speaks for itself. By the way, none of these are mine. I take no credit I have 0 creativity.
I dream of collarbones and thigh gaps, of hips jutting out and ribs just visible, casting shadows on porcelain flesh. I dream of crop tops and denim shorts, of thigh highs and sugar highs. And when I lay in bed at night, counting the calories of the day before my mind can’t help but wander, and I press into my doughy stomach, feel the hips hiding underneath, and remind myself how far I’ve come, and how far I still have to go.
Please listen, I know, I know it’s hard but listen, focus, you, you the most beautiful person on this whole entire planet you are going to make it, I promise you sweetheart, you’re going to make it. Think about it, think about how skinny you’ll be, how happy you will be, how you are going to be able to wear what you want, how you are going to be able to eat what you want and no one is going to make you feel bad for eating, no one. They’re going to be jealous, so fucking jealous, jealous of how you look and how you feel. They’re going to envy you. So stand up, keep your pretty head up and go. Exercise, drink water, eat less, eat healthy, sleep, do yoga, dance around. Get skinny and be finally happy. Please be finally happy.
You’ve been so disappointed in yourself lately. You’ve cursed those girls with a fast metabolism and regretted so much, sweetie. Countless of times you’ve thought, planned and wished to be skinny. I know you want this so badly, honey. But it’s never going to be given to you, sugar. You have to work for it and make yourself proud! ٩(ˊᗜˋ*)و
I know you’re very impatient with your weight-loss. You want to lose it NOW and would do anything to wake up tomorrow at you ugw. But that’s never going to happen, doll. It’ll take time, but you will get there, sweetie. You just have to be persistent and never give up. The road is very long, and there will be days where it’ll feel hopeless, angel. But i promise you that those days where you feel incredibly sexy and comfortable in your own skin are just around the corner. You’ll get there baby, but it’ll take time. So don’t beat yourself up.
You’ll look good in everything; you remember that bikini with the cute print? yes, you’ll look beautiful in it. you won’t look like a fat pig.
people will be jealous; they’ll envy you. you’ll become thinner while others are getting fatter.
you’ll be dainty; you’ll be the lightest in the room. everyone will be able to pick you up effortlessly.
others will compliment you; people will look at you and say “wow, have you lost weight?” “you look great!” “i wish i looked like you.”
you won’t be able to keep more than a cup of food down; you’ve trained your body, you and your body both know its limits.
you’ll have power; you can can control how you look, you’ll have control. self control instead of eating everything in sight. you’ll be proud when you refuse a chocolate bar someone is offering.
are you going to keep saying “i’ll do it tomorrow”
or are you going to start today?
you’ll get there sweetie, make them regret the day they dare call you fat; they’ll start talking GOOD behind your back; “she is losing so much weight omg” “ i wanna look like her.” “im so jealous of her tiny waist.”
make it happen, you cause the gain of weight
and the loss of weight.
It's Okay!
You were really bad this weekend weren’t you? You ate fatty food and cheated on your diet? I know you bash yourself for pushing yourself further from your goal, but it was just Easter and you were enjoying spending time with your family. Unfortunately that included eating. Thin is all you think about cutie, why would you stuff your face uncontrollably like that, sugar? You can’t stop now, i know it’s hard but it’ll be worth it in the end.
Meanspo
Dear You,
You’ve grown up being the “big” girl. You’ve grown up being the “I want seconds” girl. You entered college being the “let’s eat out because it’s easier” girl.
When will you be the “I eat healthy” girl? The “people can pick me up” girl? The “I love my body” girl?
Today? Oh, right, you say tomorrow. Funny, that’s what you said yesterday.
It’s YOUR fault you’re fat. You don’t control your fatty urges to binge and stuff your face. One day, you’ll regret that. And that day is TODAY. If you regret it, then make a change. Skip that meal. Eat less calories. Exercise and burn what you have consumed and stored from your past pathetic eating habits. Get rid of your fatty urges. BECOME SKINNY…Become beautiful. Because if you don’t start today, you’ll only hate yourself tomorrow… again.
Do it. Do it so you can wear cute short shorts without everyone looking at your thighs and being disgusted.
Do it for that bitch who always called you fat at middle school.
Do it for that fuckboy who never looked at you as girlfriend potencial.
Do it so you can be confident. No seriously you’ll never be confident with that big tummy dude.
Do it so you don't ALMOST DIE in fitting rooms.
Do it for the cute clothes.
Do it for the summer.
Do it for the pool parties and how all of your friends will be SHOOK at your perfect body.
Do it for that life little baby. You deserve it. You deserve so much happiness.
Imagine you’re sitting at your desk in your perfectly decorated bedroom. You’re doing school work (all A’s of course), and since the lighting is good, you stop studying for a second and take a selfie.
You notice your collarbones are perfectly peaking out, and your chest bones are slightly visible. You have no makeup on but you still look absolutely gorgeous. Your flawless skin (that you got from not eating junk food all the time) looks great on your camera. Your thin arms look especially toned in this picture, and your smile is unforgettable.
You decide to post it to Instagram, and it instantly gets likes and comments saying how gorgeous you look. You want to keep studying…but the amount of likes and attention is distracting!
You think to yourself “Amazing how my life has changed. 30lbs ago I barely got 30 likes. My grades were bad and I had horrible acne…it’s so great what being thin can do to a person”
One day I won’t have to suck in
One day I’ll sit down and not have belly rolls
One day my thighs won’t touch
One day I’ll be able to see my ribs
One day I’ll step on the scale and smile
One day I’ll be able to smile at my protruding collar bones
One day I’ll wear the clothes I want
One day I’ll be confident
One day I’ll be skinny
do it for the boy who leaves your snapchats at read. imagine how quickly he’ll reply when he sees how good you look in your new body. do it for the girls you envy, the girls who show up in crop tops and short shorts whilst you hide behind a baggy sweater. imagine how proud you’ll feel when you can finally wear what you want and look just as good, if not better than them. do it for the people who bullied you about your weight and the boys who turned you down because of it. watch them gawk and whisper among themselves at how much weight you’ve lost. do it for the mean girls, the ones that walk around school like they own the place, the ones who’s parties you never get invited to, the ones that all the boys want. prove yourself to them. soon they’ll notice you and you’ll be too proud to care. own your new found confidence, throw your own parties, feel wanted. do it for the boy you’ve been crushing on since the first time you met. make him want you just as you wanted him. laugh at yourself as he chases after you. watch him suffer just as you did. do it for the bikini you’ve never had the body to wear. make your old self proud. wear that bikini. finally feel good in it. go to the beach and the pool and show it off. it belongs on you. do it for yourself. do it for your own happiness and do it right now. you deserve this. it might take some time and maybe you’re growing impatient. but it’s okay, everything good takes time. so be safe, stay strong, and don’t give up. this will be worth the wait. trust me.
I literally cannot fucking wait until I’m thin. I can’t wait to not feel like the outsider in my friend group. I can’t wait to not feel like the ugly friend. I can’t wait to be as thin as my best friend and for people to not see me as a charity case. I can’t wait to be able to go shopping and not worry about what will hide my fat. I can’t wait to see my collarbones and feel great in shorts. I can’t wait to be able to post selfies confidently from any angle and get as many likes as all the thin girls from school. I can’t wait to be someone else’s thinspo. I can’t wait to be happy with myself. I can’t wait to be thin.
Okie lovey, I know you might have had a rough couple of days or maybe you’ve been doing everything right and you just need a little pick me up. That’s okay too. I’m here for you, maybe not there physically but I’m still here. Make some tea, and take a bath; while you’re in there light a few candles and take time for yourself. Paint your nails read a book or simply think about bettering yourself. You’re almost there, I’m so excited for you! I’m going to be there when you cross that finish line (UGW). Finished with tea? Are you hungry? No. Exactly, chin up sweetheart, you got this. I love you
10 Reasons I want to be Thin
1. A flat stomach looks so good in anything. 2. No more armpit fat. 3. Finally have a thigh gap (again). 4. Feel beautiful and in control 5. people you already know will ask you how you did it, new people you meet will fall in love with you. 6. Go on adventures and have fun without worrying about your fat jiggling around. 7. Tan outside or at the lake without wanting to die because you’re too fat for a bikini. 8. Going out to parties and making friends because you’re confident and beautiful. 9. Not wanting to cry every time you see your full body in a mirror/ reflection. 10. Not crying in general anymore. Finally being happy.
11 Reasons Why I'm Doing This
1. To be the skinny friend
2. So I can be lifted up and be called light
3. To wear anything and still look cute
4. To have pretty bones to show off
5. To hear those words; ‘Have you lost weight?’
6. To not feel guilty when having a sweet treat (occasionally!)
7. To wear tight jeans and not have a muffin top
8. To not want to cry every time I look in the mirror
9. To not feel embarrassed in a bikini or swimsuit
10. To sit on someone’s lap without fear of crushing them
11. To finally feel happy with myself
They are in the kitchen making dinner. It smells so good, and all you want to do is have some. But would that make you happy? Would that food actually do anything for you? Sure, it would taste good. But as soon as you swallow, it would be gone. You’d take a drink of water, and the taste would wash away. Five minutes of fun, and then you’d be full. Full of food, regret, hate, shame, and disgust. Today would be yet another day wasted. So go ahead, eat the food. Be the fat tub of lard you always have been. Or don’t. Don’t eat the food. Be a day closer to your goal.
The choice is yours.

School Girl Attitude Part 1
@detective-giggles and I came up with this little series.
Masterlist
Warnings: SVU talk, SVU crimes, talks of underage girls and undercover.
WC: 1720
Tumblr media
“Thanks so much again Mrs Carisi” you lent down and kissed the older lady on the cheek.
“Anytime my darling, I just wish you weren’t going undercover in a skirt that short- where is it anyway?”
“Come on Ma, ya know we can’t tell ya that” Sonny took a sip of his coffee.
“Well please stay safe” Sonny’s Mum cupped one of your cheeks rubbing her thumb over it “Are you coming for Easter on the weekend Y/N?”
“Ma I told ya, we have to see how the case plays out- I might not be here either” Sonny’s mum huffed back at him.
“Ok, you need to let me know” she winked up at you.
Manhattan Special Victims had been home coming up 3 years. You had transferred from Philadelphia PD after you worked with Liv and the squad on a kid napping over state lines. The squad was amazing to work with and Liv offered you a position the day you were driving back home after the case was closed. You moved down 2 weeks later and hadn’t looked back since.
You were partnered with Sonny and soon became best friends with Rafael after working close with him on your first big case in Manhattan. You had become a Carisi your first year in Manhattan, after you stood beside Bella every step of the way with Tommy’s case against his parole officer after only being in Manhattan for 3 months. You had met Sonny’s parents outside of court one day, and as they say the rest is history.
You fell for Sonny the first Easter the Carisi’s asked you there. You sat outside and watched as he played with his nieces and butterflies filled your tummy when he looked over at you and winked. Rafael being your best friend heard about this crush quite often and tried to talk you into asking him out every chance you guys were alone,
“Come on mi querida, how long are you going to keep it to yourself? You deserve to be happy”
“Rafi- have you seen the paper work? There is so much involved, and well what if he doesn’t feel that same?”
“Have you seen the way he looks at you? Of course he feels the same- I can tal-“
“Don’t you dare” You gave Rafael a warning look
“Mi querida, come on just say something”
****
You looked at yourself in the mirror of the locker room sighing at how much skin you were showing. You, Liv and Sonny were going undercover at an underage sex party. Sonny was going in as a John, Liv your madam and you as one of the girls along with some girls that were picked to look the part from the academy. You hadn’t heard the door open when you heard someone clear their throat, you spun around almost losing your balance in your heels to see Rafael looking less than impressed,
“Mi querida, you’re getting sent in looking like that?”
You had short blue and white plaid skirt, just covering your front and back, thigh high white socks, black pump stilettos and a short white button down tied in a knot under your breast’s and only a couple of buttons done up. Your hair in piggy tales in big curls and heavy makeup.
“Rafi-“ you rolled your eyes.
“I know don’t start” Rafael huffed at you “I’ll have your ugg boots and badge in the van with me for when you’re done, so you don’t break your neck in those” he nodded towards your shoes “Come on Liv is waiting, Carisi and the other women are already in there and you still need to see if your earrings work” Rafael walked towards you and linked his arm in yours to help you walk out.
You, Liv and Rafael arrived at the salience van to Amanda and Fin and you all got inside to wait for the signal.
“Ah- wow Y/N” Amanda looked you up and down, you went to open your mouth and Fin cut in,
“Carisi needs to start paying attention to the room” Fin frowned.
You looked up at the screen and seen that Sonny was looking down at a girl’s ass, and then moved his head to look at another one that walked past. Rafael looked over at you and saw your face, he pulled out his phone and open a message to Sonny,
8pm Rafael: Find something else to look at Detective.
Sonny pulled out his phone and looked at the message clearing his throat. Sonny stood up and walked over to the DIY bar in the house and asked for bourbon and coke, which was your signal,
“Ready Y/N?” Liv looked over at you, you just nodded back still pissed at what Sonny had been looking at. As you went to walk past Rafael he grabbed your hand and squeezed it,
“Everything by the book” He looked between you both, leaning over to kiss you on the cheek “Stay safe”
You walked in through the back door of the house with Liv, the kitchen and lounge area was full with young girls and older men. You started to work the room and act the part when you came into the lounge area to see Sonny with one of the other undercovers sitting on his lap whispering in his ear as he ran his hand up and down her thigh, rage and jealousy ran through you. You couldn’t let it show or you would blow your cover. But what you didn’t know was they were both playing the part, all she was doing was reciting the 50 states over and over again in his ear.
When Sonny had seen you walk into the lounge area he was glad one of the undercovers was on his lap, he instantly harden and had to adjust her on his lap so she couldn’t feel it pressing into her thigh, he didn’t want her to think it was for her when really it was for you.
Sonny had feelings for you from the moment he worked with you on the kid napping case. You walked into the bull pen in your full blues with your Captain and he felt like the wind was knocked out of him. He had never wanted to say anything about how he felt in case you didn’t feel the same and his Mum put doubt in his head about being with someone he was parented with in case it didn’t work out, although she treated you like the daughter in law she has never had.
You lent against the lounge room wall trying to look as sexy as possible not looking in Sonny’s direction when one of the older John’s walked over to you leaning into you.
“I haven’t seen you around here before” the john smirked at you looking you up and down.
“I’ am new” you tried to sound sweet.
The night took a weird turn. You and Liv where in the back of this John’s car on the way over to a house a few streets over where he kept his girls. The john had offered to buy you off Liv and she managed to talk him into taking you both to the house so she could see it before they would work out a deal. Once you guys had left uniforms busted in arresting all the johns and rounding up all the girls.
Sonny came running over to Fin, Amanda and Rafael who were all getting in the car to follow you guys, Amanda following the GPS from your earrings on her phone and listening to Liv’s microphone from her ear piece,
“What’s happened?” Sonny said puffed out from running over to them.
“We will fill you in on the way” Fin said as he got into the car.
They all sat in the car across the road from the house you guys where in, waiting for back up to pull up.
“Barba, Carisi you guys wait here” Fin and Amanda got out of the car ready to bust in, Sonny wasn’t armed so he couldn’t go with them.
Once both doors where closed Sonny turned to Rafael,
“What was with the text earlier?”
Rafael turned his head and glared at Sonny,
“What was with you checking out so much ass while undercover?”
“What’s it to ya Counselor?” Sonny snapped back.
“It is everything to do-“ Rafael paused “ You need to start seeing what’s in front of you before it’s too late” Rafael snapped.
“What’s that meant to mean?” Sonny turned his body to look at him, Rafael rolled his eyes back at him when Rafael’s phone started to ring,
“Yeah Liv”
“Barba you better get in here, Carisi too. Y/N said you have her badge she needs it.” And she hung up.
Rafael and Sonny got out of the car, Rafael carrying your ugg boots and your badge in his pocket. They both walked into the house to a mess, the john that had been trying to buy you was cuffed. They both looked around at the dump that the house was, with air mattress’s all over the floor. Rafael had seen you kneeling down talking to a girl who was crying, as you seen him and Sonny you squeezed her arm, stood back up and walked towards them.
“Thanks Rafi” you took your ugg’s off him and swapped your shoes over. Rafael then shrugged off his jacket and handed it to you, you put it on and he pulled your badge out of his pocket and handed it to you, clipping it on the waist of your skirt.
“At last count there are 4 missing Philli girls here, I recognised them from their missing person’s picture. Two are foster kids and two have families.”
“What do you need me to do?” Sonny looked down at you.
“I think you have done enough for tonight” you couldn’t look at him and you went to walk away.
“Why is everyone on my case tonight? What’s with the school girl attitude Y/N?”
“Excuse me?” you spun back around to face him.
“You heard me” Sonny snapped back to you. You balled your hands into fists, spun on the balls of your feet and walked away.
“Smooth Carisi” Rafael scoffed at him rolling his eyes.

yes i did this during my lunch break (and in english)
General:
Rate the Ship -   Awful | Ew | No pics pls | I’m not comfortable | Alright | I like it! | Got Pics? | Let’s do it! | Why is this not getting more attention?! | The OTP to rule all other OTPs
How long will they last? - Mm, if not lifelong than like a good amount of years. They occasionally also see other people though (poly coded)
How quickly did/will they fall in love? - T had to think about actually dating Klaus before getting into it. She looked into his past, everything. She didn’t want to be hurt. Klaus, however was like “mm, personality, shes pretty, smart, im in.”
How was their first kiss? - It was pleasant, it was random, after T met Klaus’ siblings. It wasn’t out of nowhere, but she was like :Thank you for introducing me to your broken family. *smooch*”Casual, but not casual.
Wedding:
Who proposed? - Klaus did. It wasn’t big either, he was just like “do weddings appeal to you?” and she’s always been on the fence about getting married, but she figured to might as well do it.
Who is the best man/men? - Klaus had Diego as his best man actually.
Who is the braid’s maid(s)? - T had her mom as her maid of honor.
Who did the most planning? - They both did equal planning. They’d talk it over and everything, but T likes to have everything exact, so she looked over everything, over and over until she found it fine enough.
Who stressed the most? - Klaus, actually. T enjoys putting things in order, and planning, but Klaus was worried about how everything would go. He wanted to make sure everything went right, and that most of all, T was happy.
How fancy was the ceremony? - Back of a pickup truck | 2 | 3 | 4 | Normal Church Wedding | 6 | 7 | 8 | 9 | Kate and William wish they were this big.  It was a forest wedding, so kinda big, but small enough as to where it felt special.
Who was specifically not invited to the wedding?- Anyone that even remotely made T feel uncomfortable. If they were gonna cause issues, they can do it elsewhere. The trees didn’t want to hear arguing. (her one aunt who didn’t want her marrying a white man)
Sex:
Who is on top? - Topazi Um, they’re both switches, but it honestly depends on the mood. If one of them had a rough day, then the other would be the top.
Who is the one to instigate things? - Either of them, it depends.
How healthy is their sex life? - Barely touch themselves let alone each other | 2 | 3 | 4 | Once a couple weeks, nothing overboard | 6 | 7 | 8 | 9 | They are humping each other on the couch right now. One look and the clothes are off (or on they’re kinky fucks)
How kinky are they? - Straight missionary with the lights off | 2 | 3 | 4 | Might try some butt stuff and toys | 6 | 7 | 8 | 9 | Don’t go into the sex dungeon without a horse’s head. T’s fairly kinky, and so is Klaus, so they combine it to create just *sighs*. Their closets have a specific section for sex toys, spicy clothes.
How long do they normally last? - It depends. If they start when they’re high energy, it’ll be for longer, but if it’s later in the day, or after work, it’s for less time. an hour or so.
Do they make sure each person gets an equal amount of orgasms? - Mm, sometimes. If T gets frustrated with herself, and she might be in a bit of a tizzy, Klaus’ll step in and she’ll focus on his pleasure instead of her own. But T usually has more than Klaus, usually 2 more.
How rough are they in bed? - Softer than a butterfly on the back of a bunny | 2 | 3 | 4 | The bed’s shaking and squeaking every time | 6 | 7 | 8 | 9 | Their dirty talk is so vulgar it’d make Dwayne Johnson blush. Also, the wall’s so weak it could collapse the next time they do it. If the mood calls for it, Topazi won’t hesitate to absolutely ruin Klaus. She really likes it rough, and so does Klaus, but they like being gentle every now and then.
How much cuddling/snuggling do they do? - No touching after sex | 2 | 3 | 4 | A little spooning at night, or on the couch, but not in public | 6 | 7 | 8 | 9 | They snuggle and kiss more often than a teen couple on their fifth date to a pillow factory. T is touch oriented, and rarely ever doesn’t want to be touched in some way. She wants all of the hugs during aftercare, and Klaus is very happy to give it to her.
Children:
How many children will they have naturally? - None. T thought about having kids, but she doesn’t trust her body, or herself, so she just doesn’t do it.
How many children will they adopt? - They have pets. (a snake and two kitties)
Who is the stricter parent? - T. She’ll be like “Miko, I told you not to jump off the counter.” but Klaus is like “let him be, he’s just a little shaken up.” but no like water bottles, just a mild scolding.
Cooking:
Who does the most cooking? - T used to do a lot of cooking, but Klaus also tag teams her. Especially if it’s a huge meal.
Who is the most picky in their food choice? - Klaus won’t do oatmeal, or anything mushy. But T is like “if this even looks wrong, I’m not eating it.” It doesn’t matter who cooks it though, she’ll eat from anyone, but if something looks or tastes different than how she’s used to eating it, she’ll eat some out of respect, but in the end may just get more safe things like water, fruit etc.
Who does the grocery shopping? - Both of them. T writes the list (bc she’s very detailed), and they both get half of the list and tag-team. But T has told Klaus what’s safe, what’s not, all that.
How often do they bake desserts? - Almost every weekend. They’re both a bit impulsive, Klaus more than T, so they have an entire fridge dedicated to baking items.
Are they more of a meat lover or a salad eater? - T rarely ever eats red meat, and Klaus’ll eat anything, so it’s a big mix between the two of them. She tries to get everything balanced, then she gets cravings and everything is thrown out of the window.
Who is more likely to surprise the other(s) with an anniversary dinner? - Klaus. He likes repaying T, and whenever T tries to do something nice, something pops up and she can’t. It’s also best for him to do tiny things, not big things, so she doesn’t feel like it’s a competition between the two of them.
Who is more likely to suggest going out? - Klaus. Topazi wants to go out and everything, and she’s impulsive, but never really does anything about it.
Who is more likely to burn the house down accidently while cooking? - Klaus because he almost fucked the kitchen up when he was high and forgot to put his blunt out (the paper towels caught fire, yada yada)
Chores:
Who cleans the room? - T does a lot of cleaning. Not that she feels like she has to, she just enjoys it, plus it gives her a sense of completion.
Who is really against chores? - Klaus sometimes. It’s not that he doesn’t want to, they usually just creep up on him when he really doesn’t want to do them.
Who cleans up after the pets? - Both of them do it equally. Klaus moreso than T though, because one wrong inhale and she’s ill.
Who is more likely to sweep everything under the rug? - Klaus. He can forget about something and it’s just gone. His object permanence is shitty.
Who stresses the most when guests are coming over? - Neither of them. T likes company, and people over, but she does try to make sure no naughty things are left out for people to see.
Who found a dollar between the couch cushions while cleaning? - T almost threw it away, (it was balled up), but she was like “hmm my brain is trying to tell me something” so she was like “oh hells yeah money”
Misc:
Who takes the longer showers/baths? - Depends, but mostly Klaus, because he does his thinking in the shower (like his dad). T, however, knows she’s gonna look like a fucking cherry when she gets out, and she needs to keep her skin not flaky.
Who takes the dog out for a walk? - Um-. If they had a dog, it would be either one of them, but Klaus more often than T, because when she’s painting or gardening, she can’t be bothered to focus on anything other than what she’s doing at that moment.
How often do they decorate the room/house for the holidays? - Very lack-luster. For xmas, they have a tree, but T puts stupid shit around the house. For Easter, she painted an egg pink and labeled it as “the easter bunny’s left testicle” and for Halloween, they have a spooky corner. She can’t do pranks though, she understands them, but she’ll scream then immediately kick to defend herself.
What are their goals for the relationship? - T wants to enjoy what life she has with Klaus. She just wants someone to love her and keep her company.
Who is most likely to sleep till noon? - Both of them. Topazi likes cuddles, and sometimes the sleep is so good you have to just stay down. Plus, she’s her own boss, and their animals are smarter than they initially thought, but if she hears the fucking snake tank open, her eyes are wide fucking open.
Who plays the most pranks? - Even though she gets a bit frustrated from them, T likes to do cute pranks. You know those toys that you throw and they stick to something, she’ll do those. And Klaus throws like sticky tack at the wall. Those she can handle. But she doesn’t understand the purpose of someone fake sneezing on her. (like me, please dont do that shit, i dont like it)

4/17/20 Author’s Update
Hey readers!
I know it’s been a crazy time for most, and I hope you’re staying safe and healthy. Even with my main career currently on hold, the sidework and other assorted projects have been keeping me relatively busy. Still healthy and kicking too.
That unfortunately meant FoC fell further to the wayside than I had intended, but my tendency to focus/drive hard on the current task usually means something gets hit in the crossfire.
That said, there’s a few notes I’d like to make here to bring some things up to speed:
1. The website has been brought completely up to date to have the proper information the series has provided thus far. If there’s anything else that seems amiss, please inform me and hopefully I’ll spot it in a timely manner.
2. Shards will be coming out a bit more frequently again now that the turmoil of the past few weeks has settled into an unsettling normalcy.
3. A new fragment will be dropping within the hour.
4. The discord links should all be working properly. I’ve been pretty damn bad at communication and getting back to everyone’s messages during the past months compared to my norm, but hopefully I can fix that once this weekend passes.
5. I’ve received a lot of well wishes, compliments, and more over the past few weeks that I can’t respond to directly (due to anon). To do so would also mean flooding the blog with well-meaning messages that would make reading questions/answers more than an easter egg hunt. I apologize, and would like to thank you directly, but I’ll have to compromise by placing it here:
Once more, thank you all for the support you’ve shown throughout the years on this rather surprising endeavor of mine!
I wouldn’t have gone as far as I have if it wasn’t for the tremendous show of fascination and interest many of you have shown, and it really does make me smile seeing how satisfied my fic has made many of you. It may just be a bunch of non-canon words that no one should take too seriously, but if it brightens someone’s day or helps another get through tougher times, than that’s more than I could’ve asked for. Even if it were to ground to a complete halt in the future, I hope the (at least) 2,000,000 words would help others long into the future.
Stay safe, optimistic, and healthy everyone! Thanks again for sticking around!

Stories from the frontline
Tumblr media
Boris Johnson’s announcement on Sunday that primary schools would return but that there would only be limited opening in senior schools, was not a surprise but it was still disappointing. We desperately want to return but obviously will only do so when it is safe. We are discussing the implications of the announcement for our pupils, especially those in the 4th Year and Lower Sixth, and I will write to parents of pupils in these year groups next week.
Last week, I promised that during this period, we would hear from pupils how they are spending the lockdown. The account below is from one of our Lower Sixth pupils, Theo. It demonstrates how, by reaching out and working hard, you can gain much in return.
“People have decided to spend the COVID-19 lockdown doing many different activities to keep them going. I have chosen to spend my time, while not doing schoolwork, in a temporary job in a local nursing home. Given the setting, it is vital to follow the Government’s rules, especially to self-isolate if you have any symptoms. This has resulted in over 70% of the permanent staff needing to stay at home for at least 2 weeks at various times and therefore the home has often been very understaffed. The remaining staff have a task even harder than usual, with PPE and social distancing regulations coming into effect, even while care is being provided. So, after sending out a plea over social media, the home recruited some new temporary workers for care work and to help in the kitchen.
I was one of the first of the new workers and they were so desperate for employees, that I ended up working an 8-hour shift on the day of my interview! The home is around 5 miles from my house, and the cycle there and back has certainly kept me fit without sport at school. Over the Easter holidays, I was working 6 or 8-hour shifts most days, but now that lessons have recommenced, I am working most evenings 6pm – 10pm and long days over weekends. The work there is difficult, with only 4 or 5 carers on duty trying to look after more than 20 residents, each with their own pills, creams, dietary requirements. Many are not being able to get dressed or even eat without 1 to 1 assistance. The home has not been left unaffected by the virus either, with 8 empty rooms in a once full home, which is very upsetting for both carers and residents. Out of the 11 residents who were in self-isolation in their rooms due to confirmed COVID-19, only 3 made a full recovery.
Working at the care home has been a beneficial experience for me, while being stuck in lockdown. I get to leave the house and socialise with people other than my immediate family, which is definitely refreshing! Also, to know that you are helping the community in a time of global need is an amazing feeling, with many of the residents expressing heartfelt gratitude to us coming to their aid. Overall, being a temporary worker in a care home is an incredible experience, which I would wholeheartedly recommend to anyone who can.”
I wish you and your families a very good weekend.
Emma Allroggen / Unsung Heroes of Science
Emma, who is in the L6, has had her fascinating video on Flossie Wong-Staal shortlisted for the Hertford College ‘Unsung Heroes of Science’ competition. Her short video is excellent so please watch it, however, there is also an audience prize for the most watched video so you will be helping her at the same time as learning something!
Some of this week’s news from social media
On Thursday, Mr Spencer was the star guest on the Breakfast on BBC CWR radio show. During the breakfast show he set three physics puzzles and returned in the evening to give the answers. You can listen to a recording of the show – Mr Spencer was on air just before 9am.
Pupils have completing lots of challenges and activities, include House competitions in stair climbing, origami and designing Easter eggs. Next week’s challenges include the House tallest tower challenge competition.
Today, the School Captains have taken over our Instagram account. I am a little worried, as I am not entirely sure what they are planning but this might be a regular Friday occurrence.
Our virtual choir, made up of pupils and staff, has started – it’s great fun!

Ross Running Festival Runcation 2019 collaboration by Nikki Alvey, Sharon Hughes and Kirsty Branagan
Every now and then a twist of fate sees you doing something you didn’t really have grand plans to do. That is how this story begins.
During 2018, Nikki entered a competition with Run Down Under which she won.. The prize? Entry and accommodation for 4 people for the Ross Running Festival in April 2019. Enter the Disciples. Nikki kindly offered the remaining tickets to Sharon, Kirsty and Laura. Now, Kirsty and Sharon snapped up the opportunity for a kid free weekend in Tassie, Laura apparently had something better to do (half marathon in Honolulu anyone?!).. But the remaining Disciples weren’t willing to let their Judas get away with it quite that easy..
Anyway, Kirsty, Sharon and Nikki went ahead with the plans for the weekend, including flights to Launceston (with checked baggage for the anxiety ridden KB, topped up with random contraband from Nikki and Sharon), an Air BnB booking for Friday night, car hire, plans for parkrun on the Saturday, entry into the 10km event at Ross and fingers crossed for the rest of the weekend.
As the week of the trip approached there was a realisation that no accommodation had been booked for the Sunday night.. A very quick bookings.com check secured the last remaining room in Ross for the night. How busy could this town really be?!
Very early Friday morning the Shuber arrived to collect KB and then on to Nikki’s place from where her husband kindly drove the intrepid travellers to the airport (with a random sighting of an LRC car in the wild - we’re watching you Paula!). The first stop was naturally coffee (and some surprisingly sensational toasties), and then it was on to the plane. And here is where Laura made her first appearance for the weekend. Nikki had used her work resources wisely to print and laminate a life sized face of Laura, which was to become a photographic feature of the weekend!
The flight was fairly uneventful, and you’ll be pleased to know that despite some struggles Nikki managed to complete the kids puzzles in the in-flight magazine.
On arrival in Launceston, the hire car was collected. This was a collaborative effort as the whole weekend was.. In this particular case one of the group booked the car (Nikki), one offered to do most of the driving (KB), one offered to be the sober one for post pub driving (Sharon) and one sat safely buckled in the backseat, keeping quiet (Laura).
We left the airport with no real destination in mind. The one way streets of Launceston tricked us a bit, but somehow we seemed to end up at Boag’s Brewery.. literally straight from the plane! It seemed that a tour and beer and cheese tasting was needed, and this also helped to fill in a few hours before check in at our ‘luxurious’ accommodation for the night. On our way to the accommodation we stocked up on enough cheese, fruit, twiggy sticks.. soooo many twiggy sticks (there appeared to be a translation issue from Mainlandian to Tasmanian).. and Mars Easter Eggs to see us through the weekend. We arrived at our lodgings for the evening and it appeared that if we weren’t already close friends we would soon become that.. ‘studio apartment’ was really a bit fancy for the single room we were all sleeping/cooking/eating/relaxing in for the night.
We settled in to the relaxation phase quite quickly before Nikki suddenly realised we had horrifically forgotten to get wine earlier.. So we went for a pleasant walk to the bottle shop, where Laura disgraced herself by getting in the fridge with the ciders.. Then it was really relaxation time, with a lovely collaborative cheese platter and some wines for dinner ahead of an early night in preparation for an early morning for parkrun.
Wait. We were in Tasmania. The land of 9am parkruns. We were staying 10 mins from parkrun. What early morning?! Of course despite the option of a relative sleep in we were all awake by 6.30am. We packed up the hire car, and headed off with plenty of time to arrive at parkrun. Which was lucky. Because Nikki was navigating. After two completely incorrect directions and a few u-turns, we navigated the ‘heavy’ traffic (Tasmanians apparently think one car 30m ahead is ‘traffic’) and made it to Windsor Precinct parkrun with a few minutes to spare.
Windsor Precinct is a nice smaller parkrun, where we were automatically identified and greeted as tourists. Quite a few people chatted to us before the event, and as we set off on the beautiful, scenic two lap ‘U’ shaped course we felt very welcome. By the time we were part way through our second lap we realised the tail walker was running to catch up to us. Despite walking and stopping for numerous photos and dog pats, we didn’t realise we were the ‘tail’. It turns out that as the course passes the start/finish area a few times there are many who do part of the course as they build up to the full course (or they remain content with the social aspect of completing some of the event among friends). True parkrun inclusiveness in action!
Anyway, the tailwalker Lisa was keen to walk and talk with us, and as we neared the top of one end of the ‘u’ we picked up another walker Daz, who had been ahead of us but retraced his steps to hang with us (probably our Victorian reputation). We also collected the Marshall and made our way back towards the other ‘u’ tip. Our new friend Daz had dropped back and suddenly called out to us to come back, as he had spotted a Copperhead snake just off the path. It was happily sunning itself, and didn’t seem bothered by the tourists taking photos! Many of the volunteers and participants were heading down to Ross for the event so it was nice to know there would be some familiar friendly faces the next day.
Tumblr media
At breakfast we decided it would be remiss of us not to check out Cataract Gorge while in Launceston. So we booked a boat cruise tour and proceeded to head there after our refuel. But on the way we received a call to say there wasn’t enough water in the gorge. Um. What? Ok, refund issued, we decided to just do a walk around the gorge, including the suspension bridge which was definitely Nikki’s highlight.
Tumblr media
Meanwhile, Nikki had rung our pre-booked accommodation for Ross, and they had no idea who we were. Being the level headed people we are, we rapidly claimed different sections of the ‘spacious’ hire car to spend the night in. Not sure if you’re familiar with a Kia Rio.. But we were pretty sure they aren’t designed for 3 grown women to sleep in.. Fortunately after a bit of back and forth we solved the booking mystery, but in terms of suspense, that was only the beginning for this particular accommodation.
A reasonably uneventful drive to Ross (approximately 60 minutes of 90s car karaoke) lead us to the Main Street of Ross (and by Main Street we mean only street). We went to our accommodation, and we were met the Marvellous Mystery Key Collection process. Namely an envelope with Nikki’s pseudonym (Nicky Elvey- despite her having spelt her name out over the phone!). Inside the envelope was a set of instructions for getting our key, which was a lot like a treasure hunt. We finally made our way into our room which was thankfully a little more spacious than our previous night.
We set out to explore Ross, and made our way to the historic bridge for a photo op. Little did we know, we would come across what was to become a talking point of the Ross Running Event.. We could hear a busy hive of bees and were cautiously looking into the tree branches overhead when we realised it was in fact a drone. We began to head up the bridge when we heard the drone let out a high pitched tone and realised it had become stuck in the overhanging branches. As in, overhanging the water below. Sure enough, the drone came loose and dropped straight into the Macquarie River. The two guys who had been operating it were clearly concerned, and one of them was soon up to his shoulders in the very cold river. He succeeded in finding it, with a little guidance from us, however it was no longer working. It turned out these guys were the photographers for the running event and were testing the equipment.. We were told not to hold out hope of overhead shots over the bridge!
Tumblr media
Laura enjoyed a tour of Ross, while not getting even a step up herself (lazy so and so, expecting to be carried around all weekend!), and Nikki met and patted her more dogs.
As dinner time approached we decided the Ross Hotel was our best bet. Turns out our only bet, as there is no other place to get dinner in Ross. We had a little false start as without a booking the girl behind the bar wasn’t keen to take our order. Fortunately we met and made friends with the barman Liam (officially our favourite person in Ross at the time), and he kindly took our orders. The food was great, as was the wine, and we were excited to see Travis from Run Down Under, particularly as this was the first time our prize winner Nikki had actually met him. We sensibly had an early night though, as we had a race in the morning (although we did spy a few other event entrants having a slightly bigger night!)
The event day finally arrived (yep, if you’ve got this far, we are finally up to the event!) We took the long 50m commute to the event hub, and met up with quite a few running friends, new and old. The Tasmanian Road Runners are a super welcoming group, and some people we have met in previous ‘big’ events (Cadbury) were excited to see us at this regional event. We were summoned for a Run Down Under team photo, and also took our own selfie with Travis. We saw the half marathoners off (including Travis) and waited until it was our turn. As per usual, most of this time was spent waiting in the toilet queue, although we were blessed with Town Hall facilities rather than portaloos.
Tumblr media
Finally (at 10am!) it was time for us to set off on our 2 lap run. We had decided early on that this was an event to experience together, so we ran to everyone’s comfort, stopping for walk breaks, dog patting breaks, photo opportunities and high 5s whenever the mood took us. The run was so beautiful, taking in the historic bridge, and much of the small farming town as well (hello alpacas and lambs!). Every person, from lead runner to spectator was friendly and calling out encouragement. While our course was different to the half and full marathon courses, their route took in a lot of ours so we saw many runners multiple times, and being 2 laps and a sort of looping course, we passed through the Main Street and finish area a few times. Nikki had the music cranking and we sang and danced our way along the course.
Tumblr media
As we approached the 8km mark we saw a runner who was clearly struggling. She was unsteady and when we stopped to check on her she seemed to be slurring her words. We weren’t confident she was ok, so we stuck with her for a kilometre or more, until we were back on the Main Street in view of spectators and medics should she require attention. Sharon particularly showed her runners spirit when she ran behind our new friend for a while to ensure she was safe. Soon, we were approaching the finish line. Nikki made a random comment about a sprint finish and Coach KB took her at her word, encouraging ridiculous speeds for Nikki to cross the line first out of the trio. We received our amazing medals, and after chatting with Travis and our friends from Windsor Precinct parkrun, we headed off for coffee. Being a small town event, the queue for coffee was long, but the service awesome, and only a short stroll back to the event hub, where Laura busied herself posing for more photos.
Tumblr media
We entered the ‘bib number’ raffle, where Nikki won a world famous vanilla slice (to go with her Iconic ASICS prize she won on completion of the challenge!)
Naturally, as LRC peeps do, we waited until the final finisher came through, and cheered every runner as they finished. In the process we made more friends, including the event team who couldn’t believe we were waiting for the final finisher even though we didn’t know her!
Of course we were only a few metres from the pub, so after the last marathoner finished (in a very respectable 5.24!) we headed for yet another cheese platter, and some more wine (for 1/2 of us anyway - Laura was saving herself for her half marathon, and Sharon was being responsible and healthy!). We chatted with Travis and his RDU crew a bit more, and enjoyed the glorious Autumn weather in the beer garden. As the bar was also the town bottleshop (which we discovered after leaving the pub to walk around to the bottle-o, and finding ourselves back in Liam’s company!) we purchased a bottle of wine to take back to our room.
In our ‘3 different accomodations in 3 nights’ quest we headed to the Ross Motel after lunch with just a quick stop at the Ross Bakery to claim Nikki’s prize (and purchase additional vanilla slices!) It was a big journey of about 100m. The Ross Motel is a highly recommended place to stay, and where we will be booking for both the Saturday and Sunday nights next year. Helen at the front desk was most excited to have Laura staying and was more than happy to pose for a photo.
After showers and phone calls home we decided to head into Campbell Town, just a short 10mins along the highway for some delicious dinner, and then we had a sensible early night ahead of our trip back to Launceston for our flight home the next day.
This event was never on our radar before Nikki won the competition, and now we are very excited by the idea of going back next year. The whole town of Ross was super friendly (except perhaps the first bar lady..) and the event is a highlight as far as runcations go. So, who’s joining us for Ross 2020?

Sharing Hope during COVID-19 Social Distancing
With COVID-19 and America's attempt to “flatten the curve” through social distancing, churches, temples, and houses of worship have been forced to find ways of communicating God’s message to the church, without the building or the congregation in attendance. It is imperative that we practice social distancing to allow our available medical care resources to keep up with the number of COVID-19 cases in the United States. Resurrection Sunday or Easter Sunday is April 12 and Americans are on stay-at-home orders. My church has been providing the weekly service via live streaming on Facebook, which has allowed me to stay connected with my church family even though I haven’t actually hugged anyone in weeks.
How Crosspoint Church has chosen to Connect Virtually
Lead Pastor of Crosspoint Church in Spring Hill, Paul Castelli, summed things up nicely, “Even though our world has changed, the power of God has not changed. The truth of Scripture has not changed. The hope of Jesus has not changed. Our mission as a church has not changed. Let us not give in to fear. Rather, let’s fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith.” This mobile church, which has been meeting in Hernando County’s Challenger K-8 school for years and was poised to begin its church building on a 13-acre campus in Spring Hill this year has been forced to communicate with its members virtually. Paul told me that it was very important to the staff at Crosspoint that messages of hope went out to the community. A sermon series entitled “Hope” was begun March 13 as the COVID-19 pandemic brought the U.S. to attention.

Hope became the Message to fill a need “This was not the sermon series we had planned but it was evident that this message was important to get out, so we buckled down and made it happen,” Paul explained. “The staff was all in to do whatever we needed to communicate God’s message of hope to the people of Hernando County and beyond.” The Crosspoint Production/Media/and Worship team worked hard to bring a Message of Hope every week. Additionally, Crosspoint has sent emails to help its members with exercise, community resources and children’s activities multiple times a week since Florida’s Stay-at-Home order was enacted.

By reaching out virtually, Crosspoint Church has been able to continue its mission to lead people on a life-changing journey to become fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ. Image by Omar Medina Films from Pixabay “Initially following Governor DeSantis’ order to stay home in mid-March and gather in groups of less than 50, we recorded a live service to share with our audience on Sunday morning. Two people reached out to say that they accepted Christ during one of those video services,” Paul shared. “It is so rewarding to know God works through modern technology.” The Church’s Prayer and Care team have reached out to several of Crosspoint’s elderly and widowed to check on any essential needs and to pray with them. The Children’s ministry and Middle School ministry teams have found new ways to reach out to students at home.

Having grown up in a time when Jim and Tammy Fay Baker made television preaching a debacle through their excesses, I find I am enjoying receiving a message of hope in my living room. I sure do miss the hugs, though.
Nature Coast Houses of Worship now offering Online Messages
Easter is a special time for most Christians to get out to church. Most of us have vivid memories of dressing up and going to worship services with our family on this holy day.

Their website explains, “In order to honor their request (stay-at-home order) and demonstrate wisdom on our part, we will move our weekend worship gatherings from on campus to online. We have said now for years, we are one house with many rooms. But now we will be one house with many living rooms, family rooms, and dining rooms. But we will remain one house.”  Their YouTube channel contains short video messages of hope, as well as past worship services in English and Espanol. There are Good Friday services in English (6 pm) and Spanish (8 pm) Communion will be celebrated at each service, with suggestion to stock bread and grape juice to join in at home. I find it invaluable to get outside and appreciate nature while in quarantine. Still, I miss the weekly ritual of worship and my church family. These video services have helped me bridge the gap without contributing to spreading COVID-19. Accessing Hope during COVID-19 Social Distancing I have found it invaluable to be able go outside and appreciate creation and its goodness during this time, but I also miss the weekly ritual of worship. Having my local pastor come into my living room and deliver a guided message helps me retain my faith and increases my trust in my God. No matter what spiritual path you have chosen, the gift of corporate worship in the United States is a big one. It is a good time to replace the fear-based media messages with those of hope and these online services can provide that gift. The need to stay a safe distance from one another to stop the spread of COVID-19 is prudent and having churches follow those guidelines is imperative to our getting through the madness as quickly as possible with the least number of casualties.

I’m out for 3 nights with Ian on the Airfield Lake, after a lot of walking and discussion, we finally settled on a swim.  The big issue we had was the lack of seeing fish, the cold east wind but we feel that this is our best option.  We did finally spot a couple of carp, one close by and the other one, some distance away.
We’re going to approach this session very slowly, not put too much bait out (or even just use bags at first) and then build the swim up with a mixture of 12mm Smokey, Catalyst and a load of hemp.
Around 6pm after the day time feeding period was over, we set about finding a few perfect spots.  I opted for one to my left, along the margin shelf, right at the bottom in 7 ft of water, with a very dramatic rise up in a matter of just over a rod length.
The other area was on a 7.5ft Plato with 9ft over water surround it.  This just had to be a feature they would visit.  Both areas were baited with boilies, hemp & tigers with a Ronnie rig injunction and a 3oz & 2oz Zipp lead.  One rod has a Smokey wafter and the other a Catalyst wafter.
We then sat back, soaked up the view and had a couple of glasses of wine.
Over the night I heard plenty of big fish crashing out, but couldn’t locate their whereabouts, it’s pretty dark out here!  As there is no light pollution, it’s a great spot for stargazing – too much cloud cover tonight.
Morning arrived with no action in the night for both of us!  This wasn’t much of a surprise at the cold east wind blew most of the night and there was a good drop in temperature first thing.  As the night progressed, it did warm up, the pressure was starting to drop.
The lake does produce fish in the day time, I wasn’t planning on reeling in until noon time.  The Tufted Ducks had moved in on the Plateau rod, which as long as there is only a small amount activity, I feel will cloud up the water and encourage passing fish to investigate.
Just before 10am, the very same rod ripped off and I was attached to my first Airfield Lake carp.  After a pretty straight forward fight, the carp was safely in the Nsr and we began to organize the weighing/photographing kit.
  23lb 6oz Common
That will do me.  I hope a few more grace my net over the next few days.
The morning passed with no more action, around noontime, we set about locating some more features with the Deeper and always with the marker float.  We certainly discovered some very interesting things out there!
The beauty of the Deeper is that it was all done with a minimal disturbance on the 4 casts we did, we simply let it drift in the wind and it recorded away.  As the baited rods were still in the water, we had analyzed the data and quickly sorted out the rods for the night.
I moved my margin rod as after 24 hrs of no action, it was time for a change.  The first night I clearly heard fish in open water, Ian moved one rod out of the bay onto a nice spot we found.  We topped up the swim with some more bait, being very mindful, that the Tufted Duck was on the munch!
The second night passed by with no night-time activities!  The discussion was made to not recast until after 7pm tonight unless we really needed to.  The rain which had been on and off all night was due to stop by mid-morning and the pressure was nicely dropping down still more.
With no signs of any carp in day, I redid my rods and was hoping for a last night capture.  The wind and pressure had dropped and we were expecting a warm night ahead – it was certainly looking more favourable.  Just before midnight, the left-hand rod was off and I was into my second carp of the trip.  It was off down the left-hand margins hoping to find one of the snags down there and it came close, I felt the line twang a branch or two, but with a bit of added pressure, it was under my control and in the margins in front of me.  I was feeling a little bit more relaxed and it soon slipped into the Nsr.
18lb 13oz Common
Very happy with that and especially after all the effort I’d put in to find the right spot and getting the bait application right.
Let’s hope there are more to come before I am off home tomorrow, to spend the rest of the week with my family.
The rest of the night passed very quietly and a misty morning soon arrived, with the odd fish showing.  This was a real change from the last few days and a boost of confidence for the last few hours of my trip.
The weather had finally changed for the better (after the cold snap and very frosty mornings), the night temperatures are looking better from now on and the trees are more full of colour.  We heard the first cuckoo of the year, no signs of the swallows or swifts yet, but I am sure they will be heard by next week.
Ian is staying for a couple more nights and with the change in the weather, I think he will be in with a real chance of some nice carp.
I’m off just after noontime and it’s time to have some family fun in the sunshine with a BBQ or 2, the Easter weekend is set to be a real hot one – makes a change for a bank holiday weekend!

So, when I was in 7th Grade I wasn’t diagnosed with Autism yet and at the very end of the year I went to a place called Northwest Passage in order to be diagnosed, but unfortunately, a few things happened; I overdosed on Tylenol  and had my stomach pumped, I was very violent towards myself, my family, and items so I went to the hospital for 21 days (yes I counted and yes I haven’t forgotten) that was hard but I’m here to talk about Northwest Passage; Let’s start with what they do, a patient will spend a minimum 30 days in their diagnostic program, then they will strongly encourage that your child or teenager go to one of their “reformative programs” as they call them, a more accurate name would be juvenile detention, but yeah, so at Passage the kids there came from all over America, so what I’m going to put here is things that if you chose to send your child/teenager there, these are the things that happened (and still happen)
Let’s start with behaviors,
They had two safe rooms, one had plaster walls and the back wall had one of the blue mats typically used, the floors were carpet and the room was about the size of a double bed, the other safe room was made out of concrete, the walls, the floor, the built-in bench, all concrete, and no padding on the wall.
Holds; I was put in a hold quite a few times (seriously before I had OT I was extremely violent, in my old bedroom we had to put up wall panels because I had completely destroyed my walls.) And one of the holds was just barely legal, it mimicked an illegal I was put in when I was in 3rd-grade nearly perfectly, only difference being I was against a wall instead of in the middle of a room, the hold I was put in during my 3rd-grade year was traumatizing to the point that I was scared of my dad because the teacher that put me in the hold had the same body type, but while I was in this hold I started saying stuff like “No Mr. H I’m sorry, I’m sorry, please just let me go!” which NO ONE in passage was called Mr. H, ever, yet they didn’t notice anything was up there, but then I started having a seizure which it’s a basic logic you DON’T PUT SOMEONE HAVING A SEIZURE IN A RESTRAINT, which when I passed out and they had to bring me to the closest ER and they were asked about this they just said (note that they were talking right outside the room I was in, I had to stay overnight as well which extended my stay at Passage.) that they thought I was faking it to get out of the hold they put me in.
after you got into the safe room you have to sit with your back against the wall for 20 minutes completely calm, no crying, no talking, no humming, nothing I typically spent 2 hours in the safe room.
MEALS,
First off if you missed a meal due to a meeting with the therapist or doctor or psych or you were sleeping, you missed the meal plain and simple, a lot of days I never ate lunch or any of our snacks because I was busy
If you didn’t like what they made, which if you have issues with textures or are just a picky eater it’s an 87% chance you won’t like the food they made, you could instead have 1 slice of bread with one of those single serving packets of peanut butter, BUT you are only allowed to have that one time a day, now when I first went into Passage I was about 50 pounds overweight (when I was 7 I was put on Abilify, which if any of you don’t know Abilify causes extream weight gain in some users I was one of them, I had originally gained 100 pounds on it without my doctor ever telling me that it causes weight gain) when I got out I was 15 pounds underweight, I was only there for 48 days, so in 69 days I lost 65 pounds (counting the time I spent at the hospital) because not only was I not getting the right amount of food but they also took all the semi-overweight kids out to do all of these different chores that burn a lot of calories.
They took us to a gym at one point and while we were there some kid got mad at me because I wasn’t running fast enough (I now joke that I was doing it for their safety because they wouldn’t let me change into a sports bra before we left and well I got my first period when I was 9 and my family seems to have big boobs in general so I was pretty well developed by 7th grade) and grabbed a basketball off of a rack and threw it at my head really hard, after it hit me in the head and also gave me a bloody nose, the staff with us gave me a tissue and told me to “run it off” (so basically a middle/high school gym teacher) What they seemed to forget is that I have chronic migraines and a bleeding disorder that causes me to bleed a lot more than I should, so when we got back I had a massive migraine and felt light headed.
Basically the stuff we would do during the day was limited;
we would start with waking up around 8 am and then for an hour we could take our time getting dressed, using the bathroom, showering, that kind of stuff, then we would go have breakfast (another thing, I’m Hindu and Indian that means beef is a pretty big no, no, again I missed some meals because of this.), after breakfast was room time for 20 minutes (sit in your room and read or do a puzzle or if you brought coloring stuff you can color) then you have ten minutes to use the bathroom or whatever because at ten o’clock you went to do school work, the class room is small and if you get distracted easily or don’t like working in close quarters your not going to like this, and you basically do math, literally only math, they give you a packet and when you finish one they give you another, when class time is over it’s about 12:30 so then you go to lunch and then until 3 pm you have room time again, at 3 we went outside (into a back parking lot it was winter so we played in the snow) for an hour then back to our rooms until 5:30 for the next 30 minutes you cleaned up your room (making the bed, picking things up off the floor, ect.), used the bathroom, then went to dinner at 6, after dinner you showered if hadn’t already, they put on a movie, you could chill in your room or call your parents, 7:30 was medication time, 8 pm was snack time and 8:10 was lights out, weekends were basically the same but instead of school it was room time or a “special” (went to the gym, seasonal activity, baking ect.)
one time I was worshipping (which is a big part of my life) they told me that I was in America and my ‘myths’ aren’t needed here, which a) don’t be an asshole and call people’s faith a ‘myth’ b) when I reported it to a guy there he just said that it was my own fault (even though I was worshipping in my room which I did not share and I wasn’t being loud or anything else that could warrant a comment like that.) so that was upsetting, I was also forced to be part of their Easter activities even though I did not celebrate Easter.
that’s a good start but honestly, there is probably more shit that I just don’t remember
