If you want to interact with proshippers more the tags "proshipper", "proshippers pls interact" and "proship positivity" are usually very nice and lots of wonderful people post there!

And you could always make a side account for proship stuff if you want to be able to take a break from the intense pro vs anti stuff if and when it gets too much, whilst still having a place to enjoy that stuff.

Honestly I think a lot of the issue is people seem to take the word "ship" as their ideal relationship. Less so than a dynamic they enjoy in fiction. But I don't know, I can't pretend to understand the mind of antis.

Proshippers and multishippers getting clumped together is probably linked to the idea that a ship is a pairing you want to see canon and shows actually pandering to ship wars lately. Or maybe people are just weird!

Everyone takes shipping way too seriously now and acts like a fictional pairings existence will romanticise the topic and brainwash kids. My general rule is that its for fun, who cares ?

okay so no idea how i should refer to myself as so: hi!! im the person who had way too much fun writing ai/nino toxic yuri on ao3! i was gonna just lurk (me, tumblr account with privated likes, reblogs and follows) BUT how could i with the promise of people being normal about fictional unhealthy gay women. idk if this is the optimal way to communicate i use tumblr with the sole purpose of following 4 people and digging up ai content

i am honestly so flattered (but also kinda upset at the lack of content on them aside from my own 1k word long oneshot please keep recommending if you find more stuff on them) that you enjoyed and recommended my fics considering i just straight up had no clue where i was going: okay so top priority i want them to kiss —> but also with how things are nino would probably lash out (read: bite) —> ai would be hesitant but also is so desperate that she’d still accept it happily —> this will fuel ninos idea of ai being the perfect, invincible idol —> and then i ran and tried not to trip with the rest

your translations of the side stories and blog was probably what helped me get in to oshi no ko again because even though i am still not over ai being dead i can now listen to someone talk about how great and tragic and sad and miserable she was along with all the other characters so thank you again!

that said it does make me so happy every time I hear people saying my relentless oshi no posting stands out to them to the degree that it does lol. I guess I'm in a similar place as you where, as happy as I am for it, it does make me a little sad that it feels like there's such little fan interest in lengthy meta and discussion on Ai herself outside of some really banal, surface level stuff. To a degree, I get that with other characters having so much more time on the page and having ongoing arcs to speculate about, but Ai is sooooooooo fascinating to me and it really drives me insane how often I see people make zero effort to engage with her arc beyond her utilitarian function in the story. It also really bums me out how often I see her get reduced to just a stepping stone in the arcs of other characters — even though the manga is literally shaking you right now and begging you to understand and empathize with her more than ever, I straight up see people cheering and crowing about Ruby 'surpassing' her or 'becoming the true Ai' as if this is a good thing and they are not completely fucking missing the point lmao.

honestly… i’m awful at guessing these sort of things. it’s been like forever since i’ve been watching a show as it’s being released (i lived in a house with someone that was very controlling about what we watched so i missed a solid 5 years or so of tv shows being released) so this is an interesting experience

honestly i get nervous about making predictions because i worry about getting my hopes up. i’m really really hoping that no matter what happens, abc does a good job handling the characters and storylines because sometimes when shows move from one broadcast channel to another it can get dicey.

i’m curious to see where they go with hen and karen and the new baby, and what hen is doing when it comes to medical school. also in general i just want more karen. always. she means so much to me you don’t understand.

i’m curious to see how abc handles the cruise ship situation, and whether it’s going to be a trauma that is thoroughly discussed or if it’s gonna be another tsunami scenario. and i want a good dramatic reunion scene between bobby and athena. i want to cry so much abc please make me cry but don’t kill them

1. this was sent at around ~2am in my timezone, when the comic in question was released only like 2 hours earlier. which to me feels… a tad early to start talking in my (or anyone’s) inbox about it without any sort of spoiler/context warning before talking about the issue’s content. especially if i have not already posted about the issue myself, indicating i’ve read it. i know you did not say anything terribly specific here, but like… still. i personally prefer going into new issues completely blind aside from officially released promo stuff (aka im good with seeing solicits and the previews from dc and stuff the artists/writers may post/talk about ahead of time) so getting any other info ahead (even vague stuff) really frustrates me as a general thing. (I know that may seem hypocritical because there are times i’ve discussed/referenced leaks, but trust me when i say i don’t seek them out. sometimes they are thrust upon me because people don’t tag that shit properly, and i still have opinions all the time always, but i make a point of spoiler tagging in those scenarios).

2. in general, the concept of a comic ship (especially one with teen/young adult characters) being ‘endgame’ is just so wildly absurd to me. like without reading the issue i’d guess you’re using the phrase in a more colloquial ‘this ship is going to stick around longterm!’ way, and sure totally i’d believe that sort of thing got indicated, and that’s cool and exciting if it was! but monthly superhero comics are an ongoing medium… i guess i’m getting into semantics here but there can’t really be endgame ships if the ‘game’ never ‘ends’. even an individual book getting cancelled isn’t an actual end when it’s part of a shared universe thus the same characters can pop up elsewhere. and even if its like ‘ahhh look! the future!’ that sort of thing happens in comics every other week and can change so so easily.

3. i have not actually been keeping up to date with Tim’s current solo to begin with. i know that may seem shocking because of the [gestures vaguely to my icon and my blog in general] but it’s because unfortunately the universe had really cruel timing the day TD:R #1 released and due to that i’m still in ‘every new issue coming out just makes me think about how many months it’s been since my uncle died’ mode. so ive been avoiding the book and avoiding discussion about it for the sake of my own mental health right now. someday i’ll get around to it but idk when i’m gonna have enough… distance, I guess, to be able to.

Oh most of them. I've been around too long, so all fandom bitching sounds the same and I tend to tune it out. If I had to pick one the "why wasn't [ship] canon!? It should have been!" Y'all please. I had to deal with one of my ships dancing briefly before 50% of it left for half a world away. It's never gonna be canon. Also. Look at canon. Look what canon did. Well that's because fic isn't created for you, generally. It is something someone lovingly crafted and chose to share. If it doesn't quite suit your taste, move on. Or create your own! It's fun and delightful. I will admit this is a factor in my not really posting. My shit is NICHE and I know it.

"M' not sure… Nicco may not even want to do it anymore, especially after what happened."

Ildio still feels guilty about what happened. Their wedding day was supposed to be the best day of their lives, yet, Niccolò was shot, and Ildio murdered someone in the most gruesome way he's ever done. Part of Ildio doesn't want to face Niccolò anymore. He knew that Nicco had seen that part of him, he never complained, he looked unnerved about it sometimes. Although he would never talk about it to him. Ildio isn't sure that Nicco will leave this fit of rage that Ildio flew into alone. It's just… The fact that someone decided to shoot Niccolò on their wedding day sent Ildio into rage. The fact that someone would hurt Niccolò on a day like that destroyed any sense of calm within Ildio. That someone would hurt Nicco, the person who never in his life has killed. Nicco was rushed to the hospital and thankfully taken care of. Nicco wasn't injured too badly, he only needed a few stitches and ended up being fine. He'd be able to leave later today, only having been at the hospital for a day.

Ildio opens the door to Niccolò's hospital room, seeing that he's awake. He walks over, sitting down on the chair closest to Nicco. Nicco looks over and smiles. Ildio hates the butterflies that he gets everytime Nicco does that.

"Hey, Nicco. You doing okay…?"

"Yeah, I'm okay Il. Just a gunshot to the shoulder. I'm okay."

A rare occasion, but Nicco actually isn't lying about this. Usually, he lies about how he feels because he doesn't want to hurt anyone. He doesn't want to be a bother to anyone. He's tired of seeing the look of pity on people's faces. He's tired of seeing the features on people's face soften when they see blood on him. That's why Nicco always lies about how he feels. Except around Ildio. It's odd, he never expected his guard to drop around Ildio so fast. Ildio just asking a simple question brings all the honest answers out of Niccolò. He's convinced Ildio has cast a spell on him, it's supposed to be vice versa, Eves are supposed to have the power. Nicco doesn't believe that, at least, definitely not in his case.

"Sorry to burst in! I just wanted to ask both of you if you wanted to go through with the ceremony soon!"

"Uhm…"

Ildio looks from Lily to Nicco, raising his brows, asking Nicco.

"The ceremony… You mean the wedding?"

"Yes! You see, I'm qualified to marry people. I've done it many times, I still have my license!"

Lily chirps, saying it so matter of fact that someone shouldn't expect otherwise. Ildio rolls his eyes, shaking his head. Nicco, however, being the hopeless romantic he is, would love to get married still.

"Well… If you're okay with it, Il…"

Ildio's eyes widen, surprised that Nicco is fine with getting married again. Especially only a day after the previous attempt at marriage. 

"Uh… Yeah, I'm perfectly fine doing it. Can you really do it here, All of Love?"

"Of course! I'm certified, there's only one thing I have to say."

"And what's that?"

"You may now kiss the groom!"

Both Ildio and Nicco smile, turning to meet each other in the eyes. Ildio twins his hand in Niccolò's hair, resting it against his head. Nicco leans in, giving Ildio a long, slow, sweet kiss. Nicco can taste a hint of candy that Ildio must have eaten earlier. A literal sweet kiss. Nicco throws both his arms over Ildio's shoulders, pulling himself closer into the kiss.

Niccolò breaks the kiss off by a few inches, just to catch his breath.

"Ti amo, Ildio Carpe Diem."

"I love you too, Niccolò. "

They certainly didn't have a normal wedding. Certainly not a white wedding, thankfully not really a red wedding either. More… A beautiful wedding.
