This past weekend Pattern Talent had a first time experience participating in a craft fair! All thanks to my friend and a huge supporter @luk.its.joanna my one-woman show business was taken to Polish-American fair in Doylestown, PA as a part of her Magic of Poland shop that featured artwork and designs by artists from Poland, Ukraine and Belarus. Being from the neighboring countries of Poland and Belarus, Joanna and I share a lot of cultural references and an appreciation of nature, the countryside and the wildlife (cue wild strawberries, mushrooms and woodland critters before they became a trend :). I’m Polish on my dad’s side and German on my mom’s side - ancestrally anyway. I’m 100% white CaliBreadcornsyrup. One day I’m gonna get off this rock and fight the empire~ My mom's fam is just chilling and doesn't feel like getting connected to their roots, though after Jan 6, I think most German Americans feel that way -que sad Dingo Pictures music-. My dad’s clan would probably proudly show me their Polishisms if I asked. I remember my fraternal granny making Goulash - she and her kids went all around Europe back in the day. There's probably a LOT of Polish fairytales I could be reading.

So I feel sad to say, of the two, when I finally do get my Rebel Alliance training I’d....prefer it be in Germany.

I’m not dumb. OF COURSE Germany today isn’t *perfect*! I think if I go to the right places and learn where and what to avoid I’ll be mostly alright. I’m fascinated with German mythology but also with the Black Forest and Three Arrows-type resistance. I’m into introspective German stuff, basically.

Poland...um…no. Thoughts and prayers to the Poles who don’t want to live in a country that says these things about gays and atheists. Or worse.

I can rest knowing my PolishAmerican Grammy wouldn't approve and that she at least never got to see Trump be inaugurated.
