An OC that sometimes ends up stumbling into other universes... of course I'm having fun with it! Here she landed in the pokemon universe and seems to have a good time with some mudkip and whooper.

I think I should keep this sneasel. Sneasels aren’t native to Hoenn, so I guess this could count as preventing an invasive species from running wild in the ecosystem? At this point I don’t think Kip will let go of this sneasel for any reason, they’ve really bonded.

Would A Mudkip Be A Good Pet?

For our third Indigo Disk Week post, it’s time to cover the fan-favorite muddy baby mudkip! I’m happy to announce that a mudkip would indeed make a good pet, so long as you are able to provide the right environment for them.

As far as the basics go, we’ve got all the usual water-type starter features. Manageable size. Bit of a risk of getting your place all soggy. Common first partner pokémon in the Hoenn Region and thus known to be friendly and receptive to training. Absolutely adorable. These are all pluses so far.

The only issues when it comes to mudkip care, in addition to the aforementioned risk of getting sprayed with water, come in their habitat needs. Wild mudkips live in shallow, muddy bodies of water, sleeping under soil and mud either at the waters edge (Emerald) or at its bottom (HeartGold/SoulSilver). Mudkips seem to be amphibious, having no problem spending time on land while simultaneously boasting gills that allow them to breathe underwater (Sapphire) and a tail fin specialized in propelling them through currents (FireRed/LeafGreen). Mudkips have adapted to living in murky water by developing the fin on their head to act as a powerful sensor when they can’t see with their eyes (Ruby). A pet mudkip will likely require a body of water to play and rest in, like a pond or a pool. Mud too! Just like their name suggests, these critters love mud (be prepared to mop your home a lot)! Obviously, this need isn’t something that every owner will be able to handle, but anyone experienced with water-types will find it to not be too large a hurdle.

Another thing to consider: mudkips are deceptively strong (X). They are said to not only be able to crush boulders larger than themselves with pure force (Sapphire), but to lift them (Emerald). This comes through in their moves as well. While mudkips boast the usual starter water-moves that you’d expect, they can also make use of some potentially dangerous rock-type moves like Rock Throw and Rock Slide to attack enemies with rocks, or moves like Rock Smash to break through tough defenses. Thankfully, considering their friendly demeanor and how one can pretty easily keep large rocks away from them, this shouldn’t be too much of an issue. Their strength, however, could present problems in a different way. For example, if you close the door to your room while you’re working, sleeping, etc. and they want to come inside, they could break it down pretty easily. They could rearrange or topple over furniture without much issue. Mudkips are a species that needs solid training once adopted as a pet.

While they do have habitat and training needs, mudkips are overall pretty good pet candidates. They are unfortunately not breaking the top-ten pokémon pets, but anyone determined enough to meet their needs could find a great (muddy) buddy in one!

The First Human

Name: Dipper Age: 20 Gender: Female Species: Mudkip Nature: Lax (+Defense, -Sp. Def) Characteristics: Often dozes off +HP)

Moves: Supersonic, Hydro Pump, Earth Power, ???, ???

Bio: Waking up in a different world in an unknown body, Dipper walks with wary steps to find where she feels is home. She lives in the moment and isn't too worried about remembering who she was before, which is strange but it'd be stranger to tell any'mon she's a human so she doesn't bring it up much out of fear of being made fun of.  She's quite happy with the circumstances, and adores the idea of being a water type. It's a whole new world below the depths and she's almost glad to call it home, almost. She's not too thrilled on how deep and dark it is when she can't see the bottom, so while her love of water is vocal, she prefers the shallows, rivers, and ponds. She learns that she can sleep under water and takes advantage of this to avoid conversing with others.

TSSM Pokemon Au Part 2

I watched some Pokemon videos and decided to give TSSM characters Pokemon for fun! This is also going off of @hermesserpent-stuff ‘s Spider Nephew Au. Also, there might be some people with the same Pokemon for different reasons; either they fit two people, or it’s to match with someone. I also base some of these Pokemon in different ways, from types, aesthetics, Pokedex Entries, jobs, powers, and backstories. I also won’t mind explaining my reasoning because I did a lot of research for them. Also, I tried o make sure they had diverse types, but some people might have more than 1 of the same type. Another thing is that I like to imagine that Peter and the other villains have some Pokemon for their civilian image and then the others for their hero/villain work. 

The last thing is that I have only played up to Generation 8, and I have yet to play the other games. So my bad, if there is another Pokemon that suits them better.(let me know plz)

I will highlight their starter and their strongest. Red is their strongest, and blue is their starter. Purple is both. Any that has a * are their secret team.

Montana’s first Pokemon was a Torchic he hatched from an egg when he started helping the ranch. His family ranch had a lot of Pokemon, but if he managed to gain their trust and do a good job, he could keep them. These Pokemon were Wooloo, Skiddo, and Mudburay. He found Rockruff as a stray and was injured. He helped heal it and took a long while to get its trust, but he managed to befriend it and kept it. He kept his team in the Enforcers until he got his Shocker outfit. He was given a Noibat to go along with it. Another Pokemon that he had to tame, but he was already used to it.

His starter was a Treecko that he got when he was younger. However, he wanted to learn how to fight better and started training in abandoned areas. A Sawk and a Throh watched him and decided to help him train. There was a moment when he was interested in Pokemon that had different color variations and wanted one. He caught a Scatterbug and was excited to see what colors it would have. Somehow he got one of the rare variants, Fancy. Later on, as an Enforcer, he caught a Noctowl as a lookout. When he got his Ricochet suit, he was given a Croagunk to evolve into a Toxicroak.

Ox’s starter was a Mudkip he found by a pond. Later on, he found a Rattata in his home. No one really knows he got his other Pokemon, but they assume he caught them before becoming an Enforcer, except for Conkeldurr. They only know he easily befriended them (Disney Princess over here).  He got Gurdurr when he got his suit.

Quentin’s first Pokemon was a Kricketot, and he loved to make scenes with Kricketot making music or sound effects for his scenes. He then got a Chatot to teach it lines for other scenes. It was the only two had for a while until turning into crime. He caught a Mimikyu as he was hiding in a theater as it was pretending it was performing since one of the last performances on that stage had a Pikachu as the main character. When working with Chameleon, they both decided to get a Zorark since it’s the perfect Pokemon for both. When Cameleon wanted to pretend to be Spiderman, he told Quentin to catch a spider Pokemon for him. They only found a Dewpider, which was fine for Cameleon at the time. When they were defeated, Chameleon didn’t want it anymore and told Quentin to release it. However, Quentin was already fond of it and decided to keep it. While trying to figure out a design for Mysterio, he looked at Dewspider and got the idea of the glass helmet. Later he got a Hypno to make people and Pokemon go to sleep. Dewspider does evolve to Araunid when Quentin becomes Mysterio.

He wasn’t really into Pokemon when he was younger. When he was about 18, he caught a Farfeth’d just because people bothered him. However, he got along very well with it (Quentin says they act exactly like each other). He found a Shinx in an alleyway and took care of it. When he was working on a project, it wasn’t working properly until Shinx charged it. Tink then decided to catch more Pokemon for certain jobs to help him. These were Klink and Abra. Then he heard interesting Pokemon that he wanted to do some research on Porygon and Elyem. When he started working with Quentin, he was gifted a Tinkatink as a joke (They are both Tinks). However, when it evolved, Tinkaton helped with some of the heavier work that Tink couldn’t do and appreciated it. 

Extra: Tinkatink was barely hatched when given to Tink, and Quentin managed to get his hands on one because someone was giving eggs for free since they had too many.

Peter and his Pokemon like taking naps with Dubwool for how fluffy and warm it is. 

Eevee likes to play fight with Lycanroc.

Blaziken, Sceptile, and Swampert get along better than the rest since they take after their owner a lot. 

Quentin’s Pokemon will literally imitate him in different ways. With Chatot repeated what he said and moved his wings with him. Or Zorark turning into him and posing like him. Also, they are all very dramatic.

Luxray is Quetin’s comfort Pokemon if something happens to him. It will be the first one running to him to curl up.

Vessels and their Pokémon

Notes: I’m sorry but I had to combine my hyperfixations I don’t know if there’s an overlap between Pokémon and Sleep Token Fans but even if you aren’t a fan maybe it’ll be fun to read :)

II: Water and Bug

- His first Pokémon was a scatterbug he befriended that lived in the garden of his childhood home (it has now evolved into a Spewpa and is very loyal to him)

- He has a joltik that he caught when he checked why their electricity kept flicking on and off. It had infested their house searching for a source of power and it definitely tried to fight him at first. Now III‘s electro Pokémon help nurturing it.

- Adopted a snom at some point and definitely keeps a tree like structure in his room so it can sleep there (they wrap up like an icicle when they do)

- Recently caught a Mudkip on a little trip they made to a swamp and instantly fell in love with it. The others definitely think it looks like him. He also used it as an excuse to finally add a little pond to their garden.

- I also feel like he has a seviper?? Also not that fitting with his main types but the vibes! (Bare with me for a second here) Sevipers often wrap around their prey and are also known to be very observant and clever so what if it helps II when he gets overwhelmed? Like a snake-shaped weighted blanket, it’ll pick up on his usual cues and interfere in time before it gets worse! (Vessel definitely had a little heart attack the first time he walked in on that)

- Skiddo! Come on doesn’t it look like the cutest little guy? Just imagine them cuddling together in the sun or how it helps with moving II‘s drumkit around. I also feel like it’s like a therapy dog for all of the vessels because it (supposedly) can read human feelings with its horns.

III: fairy and electric

- He definitely has an Azurill (it was his first Pokémon and he carries it around on his shoulder). The both of them can often be seen bouncing their energy off together, especially since he taught it skipping.

- Dedenne, I truly believe that it came to be his just like Joltik did for II, their house must have especially yummy electricity with Pokémon not once but twice intruding to feed off of it. III definitely carries it around in one of those cat hoodies, you know the ones that have a pouch at the front?

- Also has a cutiefly, it used to live close to their home. One evening III was out by himself, basking in the last rays of the sun. He had been lazily stretched out in the grass watching the sky as it turned from light blue to purple as he noticed it flying around his head. It wouldn’t leave him alone even when he went inside so he decided to ask Vessel for help. He couldn’t stop grinning as he spoke. „My Love, Cutiefly flutter above the heads of people who’s auras resemble those of flowers.“

- Also befriended a Shinx that kept following him around on his walks because it got isolated from its pack, by now it has evolved into a Luxio. With its tail it can generate electricity which it will gladly do to help out Dedenne and II‘s Joltik.

- He has a dreepy, which is a dragon/ghost type so no one understands how it came to fit into his team but it happened. (The other Vessel’s refer to him as the „Disney princess of Pokémon’s“ the little creatures just love him). It loves playing with Azurill and the water Pokémon of the others.

- He has a Sylveon which he can be seen walking around with when he’s in public. It uses it feelers to hold hands with its trainers which gives them the ability to sense their feelings, the vessels definitely use this to tell if any of them are uncomfortable or anxious in a public setting. Just imagine III walking next to it holding its feeler/ribbons?? that’s so cute. They can also emit peaceful auras which have definitely resolved some arguments and/or avoided some panic attacks before.

IV: fire and steel

- His first Pokémon was a Growlithe he caught it with the help of his dad when they were on a hike (now evolved to an Arcanine and they’re inseparable it will sleep on his floor or sometimes even try to fit into his bed with him)

- Shortly after he got his first Pokémon he rescued a Cyndaquil someone abandoned in the middle of the woods, gaining its trust wasn’t an easy task especially because they tend to be easily frightened but by now it trusts him. Its very cheerful and playful with the other Pokémon and can often be found curled up on IV‘s lap.

- He had an Aron which by now has evolved into a Lairon. They are normally highly aggressive but as long as IV manages its diet well (iron and spring water) it’s rather peaceful and gets along with the others Pokémon. Sometimes it lets the smaller Pokèmon ride on its back.

- Has a corviknight and it’s best friend is Vessel’s Noibat. They are known to be incredibly smart and strong and it’ll often help II with transporting gardening supplies or helps out with groceries. Due to its size IV could easily ride on it (they are used for transportation) but so far he has always chickened out.

- Excadrill do I need to say more?? I don’t think so! It’s very him coded and also helps II with his garden!

- Houndour!! They are very affectionate Pokémon and it definitely sees the Vessels as it’s pack, which means it gets very protective of them and is incredibly loyal to all of them. IV and the others often take it on long walks in the woods and you can’t tell me that IV and III don’t play fight with it all the time.

- Most of his Pokémon are too large to fit into his room together so during warm summer nights he’ll sleep under the stars with all of them curled around him. (Or during winter they’ll cuddle up on the floor in the living room)

Vessel: flying and ghost

- First Pokémon was a misdreavus he met on one of his nightly walks through the forest. By now it has evolved into a Mismagius and they can often be found wandering around in the middle of the night together.

- He has a Froslass, none of the others truly understand how exactly that happened, given that those are usually not the biggest fans of humans and are known to freeze them. It tried luring Vessel into a trap as they do with handsome men (I didn’t make this up I swear it’s true!) but quickly got way too fond of him and now it’s very protective of him. III definitely uses this as the argument to prove that Vessel is in fact handsome, whenever he feels insecure.

- Mantyke, that’s it you know what’s up. (He met it during one of his early morning swims which then lasted until early afternoon. The other Vessels were already looking for him and found him and Mantyke playing in the water together, since then they've been inseperable)

- Has a noibat he absolutely adores and picks the freshest fruit for (they’re picky eaters) and he borrows II‘s ear defenders whenever he’s around it for longer times because the echolocation they use can be harmful.

- Mimikyu what can I say? It hides its true form beneath a mask and tries to represent something that others will love and want to be friends with… it just works a bit too well with Vessel doesn’t it? (He’s very fond of it and I guarantee you that he treats it with extra care) It will often sit next to him when he’s playing piano and nod along.

Pond (mudkip) @ Pumpkin : Hm, if they turn you down so much do you think it might be because you're alone? When I started up a team, I did it with my best friend! Maybe you and Connor could try to do it together, if that's a decent suggestion at all?

Pumpkin begins to rapidly shake xeir arms, taps their paws on the floor speedily, ears flick back and forth, tail star clenches and un-clenches, tail swooshes and hyperventilates. Absolute excitement overload!!!!!

Connor simply sits and watches them stim happily as they begin to mouth off.

PUMPKIN: "Ohmygodohmygodohmygodohmygodohmygodohmygodohmygodohmygodohmygodohmygodohmygodohmygodohmygod- Okay okay okay okay okay- Um um um- I can help!!! I can go get some of the the the the- what are they- the- fffffff- the application forms! Just wait here I can get them I know where they are!"

Before xey even finish their last sentence, they're already out of the cafeteria seat they were sitting at and almost running through the guild with a skip in their step.

Connor can't help but watch with a smile. A warm feeling blossoms inside of his chest, he can't help but deny that he's made a good choice.

Any care tips for the Mudkip line?

yup, i got a couple.

so first of all, if you plan to evolve your mudkip, the biggest thing you’re gonna be looking at is some kind of pond in the backyard or something. when mudkip is little you can get away with keeping them in a decent-sized aquarium, but once they evolve into swampert, that’s obviously not going to fly. mudkip and its evolutions are amphibious and must remain at least moist at all times.

another thing you’ll be needing for an adult swampert is enrichment. swampert are strong pokémon that enjoy picking up and moving heavy things. i usually recommend getting them large rocks or taking them somewhere they can push boulders, but things like old tires or scrap metal work fine as well.

also, despite what some old dexes say, mudkip and its evolutions don’t live in saltwater. swampert can tolerate brackish water better than most other amphibian pokémon, but it can only live in freshwater.

i believe i have another post detailing care for this line, so if you’ll give me a second i’ll dig that up.

hey, so, I was walking around my house to take out the trash and came across this really weird sneasel? It was asleep so i took it inside (don’t give me that look, I know it’s wild but it’s so cute) and I think it might be sick. It’s this weird purple-ish grey color? I’m not sure what sneasel disease it could be because sneasels aren’t native to hoenn, but if anyone has any tips, they’d be appreciated!
