May I please request headcanons for Shanks, Sanji, and Ace reacting to their female S/O who's captain of her own crew being betrayed by one of her crewmates which greatly affects her since it causes most of her crew to die?

I will definitely see what can do with writing about them, since the request does sound interesting to write about😁👍 While I have written about Sanji before the other two I haven't, it sounds like good ideas for the request😃👍

⭐New Character For Me to Write About⭐

Shanks

*When Shanks first found out you were betrayed by one of your crewmates who has murdered most of your crew, he was actually shocked about it, however he tries his best to keep his cool. So, he decided to focus on you, your crew, your wounds, and your well-being. After all he figured it's the least he can do for you, even tough he's willing to do more than that for you.

*Shanks made his decision to have his crew (and himself) to stay in the village he bumped into you in, after the attack the crew member who betrayed you and your whole crew. He knew you blamed yourself for not seeing the traitor who's attack you never saw coming, which is why he assigned the rest of his crew to take care of the crew members who are still alive that he assigned his crew members to, while he assigned himself to take care of your wounds and well-being. He didn't assign himself with you just because you're his s/o, however he is also a captain of his crew just, as well as you are of your crew, plus he felt it's his job to take care of your wounds and well-being, after all.

*As time went by with Shanks taking care of your wounds and well-being (by frequent reassurance that nothing was your fault and you couldn't have known that the crew member who betrayed you would be a traitor of your crew and other stuff he reassured you with), the progress of your physical healing and the healing of your well-being has been going much better than he could ever expect. He knew you would heal with your wounds and your well-being, however he's surprised things went better than he thought. You confessed to him that you believe that it was his words and how he took care of your wounds helped you heal quickly, then you would thank him for taking great care of you and giving you reassurance often, as both you and Shanks hugged eachother, as the rest of his crew and the remaining members of your crew who are still alive, cheered with glee while celebrating your recovery.

Sanji

*When it comes to someone betraying your crew (and the crew member who turned out to be the traitor himself killing the most of your crew), Sanji is someone who be very upset. He will feel sad for you, considering you are is s/o. He also will be outraged that one of your crew members betraying the rest of your crew (you, included). Despite of Sanji not being a captain of his own crew, he does have negative mixed emotions (from sadness to anger) about your crew being betrayed by someone who was not only your crew mate, however this crew mate who is the traitor was also some you have trusted the most out of your crewmates of your own crew, which Sanji is aware of more than anyone else surprisingly.

*Sanji and Luffy both happily agreed on have you the the remaining members of your crew who are still alive stay on "The Sunny" (The Strawhat crew's ship), as long as you and the remaining crew members left alive need to and/or stuff like that. You (ofcourse) will be in the same room, as Sanji, because of the fact you are his s/o, so this will definitely help you with your well and he will be able to comfort you easier with more time together. There will be plenty of times where Sanji will prepare meals to surprise you and the remaining crew members (who are still alive), because your crew definitely enjoys his cooking, however you love his cooking the most. So, needless to say that he really wants to take care of your well-being and to feed you and the rest of your crew who are still alive.

*Sanji knew you and the remaining members of your crewmates who are still alive would be happy about his cooking and feel better from eating his food, however he is also surprised that everytime you and the other crew members who are still alive eat his cooking, you and the living members of your become more happier, as if the food has has some magic powers to heal your well-being (and the well-being of the rest of your crewmates who are alive). Tony Tony Chopper explained to Sanji, the rest of the Strawhats, you, and your crew members who are still alive about the ingredients that was in Sanji's cooking and how Sanji cooked the food has helped with your well-being for some reason. You and Sanji both were surprised the most about what his cooking did for your well-being, despite of the ingredients Sanji put in his cooking, what he put in the food, and you enjoying his cooking, while feeling more happier from eating his cooking, than you (and Sanji) expected.

Portagas D. Ace

*Out the three, Ace knows what it's like for his crew (His Captain Edward Newgate, aka White Beard in the very same crew, as Ace) to have a crewmate betrayed by a crewmate, while having that same crewmate who turned out to be a traitor kill any of the other crewmates in his crew. After all, he definitely remembers full well Marshall D. Teach, aka Black Beard betrayed the White Beard Pirate crew when Teach killed Thatch for Teach to get his devil fruit powers from eating the devil fruit called the "Dark-Dark Fruit". So, ofcourse Ace would be very angry at the crewmate who betrayed your crew to the point he really was about to avenge you (and the rest of your crew due to your crew being betrayed.

*Despite of Ace not being captian of the White Beard Pirates and you being the captain of your crew, he most definitely has empathy for you. Even tough he wants to get revenge on the crewmate who betrayed you and anyone else in your crew, your safe and your well-being would most certainly come first (and the remaining crew members left alive, also). So, if he does see you emotionally breakdown or trying to hold your emotions in or both or maybe anything similar to both, he will comfort you the best way he possibly can and he will hug you when you need it. He definitely knows when things are bothering you, especially on how much being betrayed by one of the crewmates you did have betray the rest of your crew (including, you).

*Ace will come snuggle with you often, as your snuggle time with him will comfort you by alot, however he is also someone who will also keep an eye on you alot (he will also check on the rest of your crew who are left alive), atleast until your well-being recovers to the point where he wouldn't have to worry about you, as much (even tough he still will, anyways) and where you are becoming yourself again. Not only the rest of the crew you have left and Ace will notice the difference with you in a good way, however you will also notice that you and your well-being has been healing more and more each day. Despite this Ace will also keep checking on you to makesure your well-being keeps getting better and staying better (and it's also out of his love for you and you being his s/o).

jokes aside, we all know how Sanji is down bad and you better believe that when it comes to HIS lover?? He’s more down bad than you can imagine

So it started all because you realized your underwear/sleepwear started to smell like smoke so you thought a great solution would be to just go sleep naked and then take a shower in the morning. Then your clothes would be technically safe from the smell.

Sanji was already lying in bed, heavily anticipating you changing into your pyjama or lingerie before bed. You could sense your boyfriend heavy gaze on your body.

You smirked to yourself and started to remove your first layer normally and then you attacked the rest. He cleared his throat and mumbled your name under his shaky breath as he was faced to your nude body.

« Y-y/n..? »

« I hope you don’t mind baby, I just don’t wanna smell like smoke »

His nose is bleeding and he’s quick to pull you by your arm into him. Your body falls on top of him and he’s already kissing you as his hands roam all over your curves.

He finally replies with a smirk and mischievous eyes. He’s so down bad for you.

Ace

Ace devil fruit power is very useful when it’s cold, when it’s time to defeat powerful enemies, and so on. But when the ship is in a summer island territory and the heat is almost unbearable, sleeping with Ace who has a high body temperature can be hard.

You lay down on his bed with nothing but small shorts and a tank top as you wonder how long you’re going to have to endure the heat. Your eyes were growing heavy as fatigue started to grow in you, but you knew that even the little clothes you have on you right now, felt irritating.

Sleeping naked doesn’t seem like such a bad idea…

That’s what you do, you remove your clothes and lay down again on the bed, waiting for the commander to find you. Then you hear the door slowly open with a distant goodbye from your boyfriend to someone behind the door.

« Oh- Uh hey there? »

He smirks as he put his hat down and starts removing his accessories. You push your upper body up and stare at your lovely freckled man.

« Hey.. » you say in a sleepy tone. Aces eyes are devouring you and you feel butterflies in your stomach as his eyes linger shamelessly.

« Thé weather is too hot, so I thought I would sleep naked… »

« Umm, I see »

He says as he sits on the bed and let his hand play with your hair.

You nod with a small pout and lean into his touch.

You blush and truly who were you to deny anything to this man when he looked at you with so much love and lust.

You felt lazy to put clothe on after your shower so you just walked back to the bed and laid down there. You found again the article you started to read on the nightstand but stopped as you got interrupted earlier. With that you forgot that you were still nude on your bed.

That was until Buggy walked into your shared room with a screech, his eyes popping out of his face.

« What are you doing naked like that ??? »

He screamed-whispered in panic. He didn’t know if he was totally turned on or shocked, maybe both.

You finally turned to him and looked at yourself slowly and back to him. Your mouth gasped a little, but you didn’t care because it was your boyfriend and it wasn’t like it was his first time seeing you naked lol.

« Aren’t you overreacting babe? » you chuckled as you turned your body more to his direction and let the article fall on the bed.

« What if it wasn’t me who walked in?? Are you insane?! »

He said as he walked into your direction. You knew how to shut him up, so you just pulled him harshly by his collar into you and smashed your lips into his. You then ran your hands over his clothed torso and pulled out to whisper into his ear.

« But it’s you , isn’t it? So how about you take care of me instead Captain »

He’s blushing and groping your body.

"I know you could sing!" Ace exclaimed revealing himself once you finished singing.

"Ace?" You jumped around to see him. "How long have you- why are you holding your phone?"

"I'm gonna upload this to YouTube~" Ace said, a giant smirk tugging on his lips.

"Oh no you don't!" You climbed off your bed and started charging at him as he ran away laughing.

"Come on [Y/n], just give it a try," Ace said as the recording started. "You saw how many views the last one got, people will love to hear your voice again."

"I don't know..." You adjusted the headphones around your neck. "You sure it wasn't because of the end of the video that people kept watching it?"

"I'm sure, you got an amazing voice, you just need to get it out there." Ace smiled at you from behind the camera. His smile made you smile, even if it was a small smile you gave.

"Alright... here goes nothing." You put your headphones on and let the music take over.

"Alright, alright, how does it feel to have your first gig offer at 20k subscribers?" Ace asked holding the camera up to get your reaction.

Ace moved closer and pinched your arm.

"Ow! Not that hard," you whined rubbing your arm.

"You asked for it," Ace chuckled backing up so the camera wasn't in your face, he then turned it around to face him. "She asked for it."

"Oh yeah? Let's see how you like a taste of your own medicine!"

"Woah shit!" Ace started running out of the room, camera still facing him as he rushed out of there. From certain angles, the camera caught you chasing after him from behind. "I didn't ask for this!"

"You did with a smug smirk of yours!"

"Acccce, there's so many people out there," you whispered walking over to him, holding your mic in your hand.

Your grip on the mic tightened and you held it closer to your chest. Taking notice of this, he moved the camera away from his face so you could see him. "Hey, you're gonna be alright, just find me in the crowd and act like you're in our chill cave, they even got the same lighting as the place."

You glanced up at Ace before wrapping your arms around him. He hugged you back for good luck, only letting go when the lights went down.

"I better get to my seat now. Don't worry, you'll do great out there."

"You'll never make me." You turned your back to the camera.

"[Y/n], this a ticket to your dream city!" Ace reminded you as he waved the plane tickets. "They're first class and everything."

"I'm afraid of heights."

"Since always."

"How come I never knew before?"

"Because we've never been up somewhere high before?"

"What about the top of the monkey bars?"

"That's not 10 thousand miles in the air!" You stated, turning back to the camera.

"Okay it's not that high-"

"You're right, it's probably even higher!" You spun around again and fell back on your bed. You folded your arms and pouted while Ace walked around your bed and looked down at you.

"You know, for someone scared of heights, you fall down on your bed without hesitation," Ace pointed out, you grumbled and narrowed your eyes at him. He sighed and sat down next to you on your bed. "If you're nervous, you don't have to be. Trust me, with some headphones and music playing, you won't even notice where you are."

"Really?" You look at him, fragments of worry still lingering in your eyes.

"Mhm, and I'll be there by your side the entire time."

The crowd cheers after the performance ends. Ace smiles from behind the camera as he's recording you smiling and waving to the audience. Who knew you'd get this far?

"Thank you everyone!" You began, and more cheers were heard. "Alright, alright, settle down." You waited for the crowd to quiet down before you continued. "You are all so amazing, and I'm grateful you're my fans, but I never would've gotten here if it wasn't for someone, which is why I wanna say a big thank you to Ace."

"Me?" Ace whispered, surprised and caught off guard when you hopped over to him, taking his arm and pulling him on stage.

"Many of you know him if you watch my YouTube channel, he's the reason why I'm standing here today." You gave him a side hug and Ace had to adjust his hold on the camera so he could return the hug. "So thank you, Ace!"

The camera perfectly captured your smile at him, so full of life and joy, a memory he'll treasure forever.

"Hey, bro you in here- oh sorry."

Ace paused the video and looked up at Sabo.

"Didn't mean to interrupt," Sabo apologized. He frowned as he watched Ace close his laptop.

"Nah, it's fine..." Ace pushed the laptop away from him and shifted his position in bed. "What did you need something?"

"No, I was just gonna tell you the pizza's here."

"Oh..." He dipped his head down. "Can you bring a box up for me?"

"Sure thing." Sabo headed out, leaving the door open since he'd be returning shortly.

Ace's gaze wandered around while he waited for food. Your CDs are scattered across the floor next to his radio, he'd probably pick one to play while he's eating. His hoodies you used to steal were thrown over his dresser, your scent faded from them, and even the one he wore now hardly held it anymore. His hand gripped onto your old headphones, trying to hold your presence.

"I'm back." Sabo entered his room with three pizza boxes.

"I only asked for one-"

"You don't expect me to eat two pizza boxes by myself downstairs, do you?"

"Alright..." Ace moved over to make room for Sabo to sit down and place the pizza between them. Silence laid in the room for a bit as the two ate until Sabo broke the ice.

"How long has it been since... the accident?"

"I don't know," Ace shrugged. "Each day is a blur now."

"Hmm..." Sabo hummed and finished his slice before continuing, "You know, I was in your shoes after Kuma passed. It's hard losing a friend-"

"She wasn't just a friend." Ace lowered his slice of pizza. "Sorry, I didn't mean to snap, I just... I loved her you know... and I never got the chance to tell her how I really feel."

Sabo sighed and placed a comforting hand on his brother's back. He wishes he could say something more but alas, what do you say to someone whose heart was stolen by the world?

Traveling with Ace can end up in two ways. It could be successful or both of you end up getting lost. The latter happens most of the time. Like right now.

“Ugh! I can’t believe I listened to you again! I knew I should have led the way this time.” You said with your hands on top of your head as you paced back and forth. You tried to ignore the growing situation, but as the sun continued to set it was harder to ignore the dire situation.

Ace rolls his eyes at your words, “Oh come on (y/n). You’re acting like we’re in a dangerous situation.” “You know Ace, I’m just a critical thinker. Like look around, it’s getting colder. Some of us don’t have a devil fruit power to keep us warm.”

“I know.” Ace says and you turn to him with a slight glare. Ace was gathering firewood, putting it in the center of the area. “Just think of this as camping. Look, there’s even a campfire now!” He says while lighting the wood on fire.

You looked at him unamused, while he stared at you with a huge grin. “Well, what about bugs, animals? It could be dangerous out here.”

Ace’s grin doesn’t falter as we walk towards you. “Oh, come on. You worry too much (y/n). Nothing bad is going to happen. At least not while I’m here. I’ll protect you.” “Wow, that’s reassuring.” You sarcastically say.

A small pout formed on his lips, and he put his hands on his hips. “Now that’s just mean.”

You sigh, pinching the bridge the bridge of your nose. “I’m… I’m sorry Ace. It’s just that I’m cold, hungry and tired.” The pout goes away, and he grabs onto your hands. His warmth already spreading to your own hands. “I’m sorry babe. But you really don’t have to worry. I have a snack, and after that we can fall asleep next to the fire. Problem solved.”

“How long have you had that snack?” “The whole time.” “And you didn’t bother to tell me?” “Well I’m telling you now. Plus I knew that you would get like this, so I saved it.”

You raised an eyebrow at him, “like what??”

His eyes widened and he pulled away. He headed to his bag to pull out said snack. “Nothing! Here’s your snack.” He says shoving the food into your mouth.

Now that you were content, you made your way to the fire and sat down. The fire immediately started to warm you up, but not as much as you would’ve liked. Ace let out a sigh of relief, seeing that you were now calm.

Once you finished the snack, you turned around to see that Ace had laid down a blanket. You were surprised that he had that. “Did… did you plan this Ace?”

His head snapped up at you, eyes wide. “No,” you could tell that he was lying “I just always keep this around… because… you know… I got lost so much. I thought it would be a good idea to keep one with me.” You just hum and nod your head. “Right.”

“Here, come lay down with me.” He says patting the spot next to him. He didn’t have to tell you twice. You quickly went over to him and lay down on the makeshift bed. Ace didn’t waste a single second to pull you into him.

His hands went around your waist as he pulled you closer. Goosebumps swarming every part of your body that he touched. Those goosebumps soon went away, and it was replaced with his warmth. You absolutely loved that he was your personal little campfire. The coldness that overtook your body was soon replaced with heat, but it was a comfortable heat.

Your face was coddled into his neck, and his chin rested comfortably on top of your head.

You sigh, maybe this wasn’t’ so bad.

Ace moves his head a little to place a kiss on your forehead. “I love you (y/n).” He whispers and you return the favor. Placing a kiss on the juncture of his neck and shoulder.

“I love you more.”

Ace X GN!Reader (Ace POV)

TW: Nightmares

Just a little hurt/comfort drabble - Ace taking care of Y/N after a nightmare. (I hope y'all enjoy it!)

Understanding crashed over him like a wave of ice water under his skin. Y/N curled closer to his side, words made useless by their muffled cries. A bone-deep ache echoed through him. “C’mere,” One arm falling around their waist, Ace pulled Y/N entirely into his lap so they could wrap both arms around his shoulders and bury themselves in the crook of his neck. His other hand gently combed through their h/c strands as he whispered in their ear. “It’s alright, just hold on to me. I’m right here. I’m still here. That ain’t about to change anytime soon.” 

Y/N’s next hiccupping breath wracked their entire body. “God, I hope not…” they whimpered softly. Ace tightened his embrace, curving himself around them as best he could in the shifting sands. Y/N pressed closer in turn, but still, they trembled. 

“I’m sorry,” they murmured breathlessly. “Earlier, I-I wasn’t thinking straight. After I put out the fire I had to-I just had to make sure you were okay. I didn’t mean to--”

“Don’t apologize, Darlin’,” Ace interrupted, gently tugging on their hair to get them to look at him. When Y/N lifted their head, the pair were almost nose-to-nose. Not missing a beat, Ace rested his forehead against theirs. His onyx-grey eyes never drifted from the treasure glimmering before him. “If you ever have another nightmare like that, I want you to tell me.”

From such close proximity, he could almost hear Y/N swallow. If anything, he pressed his face ever closer to theirs. “I mean it,” he insisted, his voice low and earnest. “Any nightmare about anything? I want you to wake me up, alright?” Closing his eyes, Ace softly brushed his nose across Y/N's. He could feel their flush from where his forehead pressed against theirs. “I wanna be there for you in any way I can.” He met their gaze again. “But I can’t do that if you don’t tell me.”

After a moment, Y/N quickly nodded. Their nose brushed over his. Though their face was still tear-stained and feverish, there was a new flare of determination in their watery eyes. “I will if you will,” they solemnly promised. Ace couldn’t help but smile.

“Equivalent Exchange?” He inquired. Again, Y/N nodded, making the elder pirate chuckle. “Well, I suppose it’s only fair,” he kissed the tip of their nose briefly. “You’ve got yourself a deal.” Y/N flushed a deep red. 

“E-equivalent exchange.” They whispered, pressing a lightning quick kiss to his cheek. 

“I dunno,” Ace drawled, a smirk growing. “Nose to cheek doesn’t seem fair. I’ll have to pay up.” 

“Huh? Pay wha-mph!” Ace quickly pressed a kiss to Y/N’s lips. Their eyes grew wide. The older pirate noticed their surprise with a self-satisfied grin.

Pulling away, seeing the full picture only made his grin wider. “How was that?” 

“How was--you mean--” Y/N’s face was on fire, their embarrassment flaring from the crown of their head and down their neck.

If they have this reaction to a single kiss...He didn’t get to finish the thought before Y/N’s voice hooked his attention.

“Not fair! C’mere--” Trapping his face with both hands, Y/N lunged forward and pressed their lips to his. Their nose scraped past his to find the proper angle, but for a first initiated kiss, it was--Y/N abruptly pulled away. “There. Now we’re even.” They panted.

“I don’t know.” He said, dazed. “How do you feel about debt?”

Thinking about the way Ace touches you...unsure, nervous and still always intentional. He runs hot of course, which is particularly miserable in the summer, but neither of you cared until you nearly got heatstroke that one time and Marco ordered you to stop touching so much.

That was a special kind of torture.

When you walk with him he's always reaching for you, knitting your fingers together while trying to hide the flush that's creeping up his neck. If he's leading you, his hand is solid against your lower back, guiding, guiding but never pushing. His hugs...they are all consuming, melding you together, two halves of a whole.

He grew excited and quickly grabbed my wrist and dragged me to the docks. “Where we goin’?” I asked trying to keep up with him before falling. “My boat, of course!” Before I could say something else we made it to the docks and stood in front of a rather large ship, “I already hate this.” He laughed and quickly dragged me on the boat. Oh how I miss that laugh with all my being.

I look up at Akainu. I was furious, upset, disappointed. “Father..how could you?!” I stand up and look at him “Must you ruin everything in my life?!” The way I felt, words couldn’t describe it. “Apologies little one but to me it seems your life finds me.” He laughs and walks towards me and looks down at Ace’s body. I know he isn’t sorry, he never is. He wasn’t sorry when he left me. He wasn’t sorry when he hurt me. He wasn’t sorry for any of it. “I hated you, yes but now..I don’t even wish to be related to you. Not by blood, marriage, anything!” I can feel the tear’s still falling but I was also angry.

“I didn’t even confess my love to him…” I turn on my heels and walks towards Luffy. “Are you okay, Luffy?” I asked. “Yeah I’m fine..” he didn’t sound fine. I look and see him looking at Ace, he’s hurting, I know he is. I know the feeling of watching someone you love die in front of you, it’s not the best. “Luffy…” I crouch down to his level and look at him with sympathy. “…it hurts I know but what you shouldn’t do is bottle up your feelings, just let it out….”

Before I knew it Luffy, the happy go lucky person I met had finally broke down and cried. No not just cry he screamed. A rigid sigh left my lips as I pull Luffy into a hug. He grips onto my shirt tightly and cries everything out of him. Even the happiest people feel pain. I look over at Ace’s lifeless body as all you can hear os Luffy’s cries and screams. If I couldn’t be strong for Ace I will be for Luffy and will protect him in Ace’s honor.
