Sexuality headcanon : Straight or pansexual. 

Gender headcanon : Male or genderfluid perhaps? idk i get the feeling that he wouldn’t really give a shit about his physical appearance and if he was turned into a woman he’d just be like ‘how fascinating’ and go back to tending to his creatures ?? he’s very tolerant and accepting and comprehensive. but he also - as we saw at the end of the first movie with Tina - has no difficulties using his male charms and making the first move on someone ?? idk he strikes me as someone very confident about his physical appearance? 

A ship I have with said character : G R A M A N D E R 

A BROTP i have with said character : I have a feeling Tina and him would work well developping just a deep friendship. ALSO CREDENCE ! And Dumbledore now, I guess.

lemme just scream at how much I love that headcanon AND JUST AHHHH IN MY HEAD NOW, I have the image of Percy loving his junk food & he loves to eat pickles while listening to the radio & Newt would just casually say, "maybe ease up a bit on the junk food, dear. you're looking a bit plump in the middle there. might not fit into your trousers anymore." AND THEN HE GIVES ORANGES FOR PERCY TO SNACK ON IGNORING HIS HUSBAND'S SOUR EXPRESSION

Yes! Newt would totally squidge his tummy to make his point. Percy would sulk every lunchtime when he looks in his lunchbox - a healthy salad, some fruits and nuts to snack on. Water or fruit juice to drink. He feels like a toddler all over again.

He bribes his aurors to bring him doughnuts. He also keeps track of birthday in his department. Not because he feels especially generous but because it means CAKE.

Despite Newt’s best efforts, Percy does gain a little weight. One morning his trousers are a bit too tight. Suddenly he feels self-conscious in a way he never had before. He’d spent a bit too much time behind his desk with a little too much food, and Newt was right, all the junk food has settled around his waist.

So he stops eating pickles from a jar while listening to the radio. He still buys cake for his department but no longer eats any and he stops bribing his aurors for pastries. He’s miserable.

Newt cottons on quite quickly though. Suddenly the jars of pickled beetroots, gherkins, silver onions pile up because while Newt does their shopping and despite everything he does like to indulge his husband. He tries to cheer Percy up with a pain au chocolat for breakfast at the weekend. To his surprise Percy refuses but after a little cajoling he relents and takes a bite.

Newt can see the warring emotions of pleasure and guilt. So he takes the plate, puts it to one side and straddles Percy’s waist. He takes his head in his hands and tries to pry the truth from Percy.

Once his husband’s reluctance to spill vanishes he admits that Newt was right. His trousers are too tight. And that he worries that if he doesn’t lose the weight Newt will stop finding him attractive. Much to Percy’s surprise Newt laughs and tells him that he’d love him any shape he was. He’s just concerned about the long term health issues that weight gain could pose. All Newt wants is a nice long life with Percy.

Having cleared that up Newt reaches for the plate and proceeds to feed his husband himself.

i have a very uh not so smart question. are ghosts in your place different from ghosts back home? like, if we are far away from malaysia kan, do these ghosts stop being scary to us bc we're in foreign land? it's a dumb q, I know this but I'm curious SHSJSKS

nah man it’s a legitimate question. like i think about this quite often

tbh, when i’m here i don’t even think about the ghosts? 

i think in a way it does stop being scary. like i could be watching a really scary asian ghost movie here and not even be little freaked out. but if i’m back home, and i watch the same movie, i’d be kinda spooked to go out of my house at night if you get me? 

it’s very strange and idk why this is. it’s not different, i don’t think. i’m just less freaked out by it here. i think most of it is because back home there is a lot of spiritual belief, everywhere we turn. and in every culture there is always taboo about the afterlife and the dead. but here, they don’t have the same belief system. although, the Aborigines do have belief system about the afterlife and the dead but those things are not really spoken about (especially not with the outsiders ie non Aborigines)

Dramatic Dad Percival but about protecting the wee beasties including the Nundu.

Every now and then some bureaucratic paper-pusher will complain loudly about Newt’s case and the legality of his permits. This results in a little peanut gallery of aurors as they watch Percival with his ‘heard-you-were-talking-shit-about-my-boy’ face on proceed to school the little busybody. He knows each and every clause he took advantage of to get the permits. If they’re stubborn enough he’ll schedule compulsory seminars on the relevant bills because the P in P. Graves may as well stand for ‘petty’.

On that note, god help your soul if you disrupt one of Newt’s creature care workshops.

Percival made it his goal to learn everything he could about the creatures in the case, their schedules and needs - not because he didn’t trust Newt, but he’s serious about making this a partnership. The first time Newt asks about it he blushes a little, “Well, they have their mum, but I was hoping there might be room for a father figure.” (Newt launches himself at the man like an amorous octopus)

Percival is far more strict than Newt about the children seeing their ‘adult’ activities and will stop everything if one of the younglings is watching. “It’s natural Percy, don’t be silly”, “He’s barely into adolescence Newt! - come on pumpkin, back to your nest now.”

He actually keeps pictures of them in his office now and little ones in his wallet. When the aurors once convinced him to go for drinks with them after a case they mentioned the creatures and out came the wallet, Graves gushing like a proud papa.

“A- a nundu, really?” “That’s Delilah - her poison sacks were damaged and she has trouble with her back right leg but we’ve been doing an obstacle course together in the mornings and she’s tough as can be. Actually, it’s her birthday tomorrow so we’re putting in a waterhole and a new tree.” 

It’s fairly routine that some of the smaller creatures follow him to work from time to time, and since Newt started using New York as his home base the number of minor creature-related incidents in MACUSA rises sharply. It helps to break up the day. They’re almost used to Niff causing various levels of chaos (half the auror department are fully in love with the little thing after he stole the tie pin and glasses from the head of finance). They’ve all had ‘niffler-catching’ training - it’s become a bit of a competition with everyone trying to improve their times.

But there are still people who firmly resist moves toward accepting creatures. There was an incident when an intern, some son of a senator, which pushed Percival to the limit. Ignoring all their training, he caught the niffler harshly by his tail and proceeded to shake the poor thing by the scruff, complaining loudly about pest control. When Percival saw Niff actually looking frightened he saw red. He tucked his little pal gently into his coat before grabbing the intern by the neck and slamming him against the wall. “You can’t do a thing to me.” “Oh yeah? Well you just violated MACUSA policy and pissed me off so you’re leaving here on your ass and you’re very lucky I’m being so generous.” “All this over some-” “Go near Niff or any other creature again and I’ll break your jaw, understood?”

Niff recovered quickly but took full advantage of the pampering his papa gave him and stuck close to his side. When Newt was brought in for punching the senator’s son in the face Percival snorted and offered him a cup of tea.

Some of the aurors come across Percival and Newt in the training hall doing exercises with the swooping evil and the nundu. “They’re fucking terrifying aren’t they?”

Three sunflowers??? That’s three things uh uh uh

My coworkers think I eat weird lunches so I like to make a point of it because I’m just that kind of person and I think the best reaction I got so far was when I ate an entire head of lettuce dipped in marmite. Not leaf by leaf in a salad bowl, just picked up the lettuce, dunked the whole think in glorious glorious marmite, and scrump.

I walk rather than take the train and this is grand except it really cuts into my reading time, so I read while I walk and most of the time this is fine. Most of the time. However the walk goes through some very overgrown parts with nettles and brambles and low hanging trees and also the bridge has railings on it, and the numbers of times I’ve walked into assorted angry plants or been taken out by a solar-plexus punch from the corner of the railings is verging on ridiculous.

(I’d like to add that I put the book down when I cross the road, cars don’t have quite the same loving touch as stinging nettles and being in the hospital would get in the way of life)

My cat likes to position herself just arms length in front of you then look back and meow imperiously until you take two step forwards to stroke her, then she’ll walk just out of reach again and repeat until she’s got you where she actually wants you to be. One time she led me all the way upstairs and down to my parents’ room where she went under the bed, just out of reach, and without breaking eye contact proceeded to throw up in my dad’s slippers and to this day I have no idea what he did to annoy her.
