Jan. 11: Mental health is just as important as physical health. What do you do against your study stress?
Becoming less stressed about uni is one of my goals for this year! I really struggled with the jump between A levels and uni; the workload and difficulty of the material just completely overwhelmed me but now I’ve had a proper rest and taken time for my brain to catch up to my hand I feel a lot better about myself. My gauge of myself is very entwined with my academic success so going from achieving highly by working hard to a considerable drop from working the same amount really knocked me. Especially being around so many people spending half the time on the work and doing twice as well. I’m really glad I hit that wall early though. I’m planning on spending less time angsting over questions I can’t do on my tutorial sheets and getting a healthier work-social-sleep balance. I always would call my mum on a Sunday night after spending all day trying to do my tutorial sheets, a complete mess because I’d gone to bed late the night before because I’d been out or I was hungover and it wasn’t fun and she got really worried that I wasn’t having a great time when the truth was the complete opposite. Either way, there’s a strong correlation between stress and lack of sleep for me so I’m going to try to have a healthy sleep pattern during the week at least!
Jan.12: Time for opinions: Typed out notes: Yay or nay? Do you like written notes more?
I like writing out notes in lectures, but I prefer compiling everything digitally.

I have 3 go to study fruits! I love peaches and strawberries but if I have them I love mangoes. Strawberries are nice since they’re small and easy to eat, but mangoes have a better flavor. Peaches are the best though! You can cut them up easily or just eat it like an apple. The juice is really good also!
