Chapter 7:

You and Nikolai stayed in your embrace for a while. You admitted that it was indeed very comfortable but you did need to check up on Takeo and Richtofen. You gently pushed at Nikolai's chest and he seemed to get the message as he let you go almost immediately. No words were said between you two after that but as you turned away from him you couldn't help but notice he was a bit of a blushing mess. Not to mention Dempsey was death glaring him. 'That is one stressy American' you thought to yourself.

You nervously walked over to where Richtofen who appeared to still be cleaning up the blood around Takeo's nose. You wanted to politely ask if Takeo would be ok and if his nose was broken but something about Richtofen made you nervous. Really nervous. So instead a simple and polite question, your mouth decided to just blurt out "Is it broken?!" This sudden outburst seemed to startle both the Doctor and the Warrior. Richtofen looked at you with a slightly shocked face at first but then it softened a bit as he began to talk. "Nein. But it vill be bruised for a vhile." You just nodded simply and looked at Takeo with a sympathy. 'Stupid attractive American. Why was he so clingy about a girl he met literally today?! Wait attractive? No (Y/N)! Bad (Y/N)!' You mentally slapped yourself at your annoying thoughts. You wanted to take your mind off of them. Off of him. "Is there anything I can do to help, Doc?" You asked the German standing next to you. He shifted his gaze slightly from Takeo's nose to you before nodding. "You could clean up ze blood around his nose? Vhilst I have a little talk vith our American... friend..." he spoke softly which made you suspicious. 'What does he mean "little talk" and why does he new to have this "little talk" with the douche bag anyway?' You tried shaking the thoughts from your mind and agreed to do as the doctor said.

You tore a piece of tissue from the roll that Richtofen had magically made appear and wet it under a nearby faucet. You strode back over to Takeo and started to lightly dab the wet tissue on his bloodied up nose. He grunted in pain slightly at the first bit of contact but then relaxed a little as you continued the process. After most of the blood was gone you couldn't help but look into those chocolatey brown eyes you had suddenly fallen for not too long ago. You noticed he seemed to be doing the same to you. You also felt both of you leaning in slightly. That was until you were interrupted, again, by Richtofen and Dempsey shouting at each other. 'Oh boy. Here we go again.' You thought to yourself as you walked up to the two men. Just as you arrived at the scene of round 2 of Dempsey's short temper, the douche bag himself decided to shove the doctor. 'Men.' You thought as you tried to get in between them as fast as possible in order to prevent another fight to break out. However seconds after you had wiggled your way in between the men, you felt a fist come into contact with your face. You were shocked at first, as were the two men towering either side of you. But that shock very quickly turned into rage as you eyed the culprit. Dempsey looked back you with sorry and scared eyes. "I- I'm so-sor- y-you shouldn't h-have been standing there in the first place!" He managed to stutter out. You couldn't control your body as your hand automatically struck him across the face, the sound of the harsh contact making everyone in the room wince. Dempsey looked very taken aback by this and didn't dare retaliate. 'That showed him.' You thought to yourself. "Now. Would one of care to explain what the two of you were fighting about?" You spat at them. Richtofen looked at you with puppy dog eyes as he seemed to be struggling to find the words. You didn't dare to even look at the marine behind you as you all knew he'd have to be a new kind of stupid to get himself even more involved than he already was.

After a long and painful silence, Richtofen finally spoke, but in a slightly hushed tone as though not to anger you anymore. "V-vell, Takeo had told me about vhat had happened at ze mainframe a-and I didn't think it vas f-fair that Takeo came out of ze situation with a bruised nose and Dempsey had nothing to show for it..." Once you had processed what the doctor had just said you looked into his eyes. Those beautiful green eyes... 'No (Y/N)!' He looked back into your eyes with a look of hope evident on his face. You didn't know what to say anymore so you just nodded. You then tore your eyes away from his and looked over at Takeo who seemed to have been looking at the back of your head. You had completely forgotten about your injury and the amount of blood that had leaked out. You went to walk back over to the table Takeo was sat on but your legs gave way half way there. The last thing you remember before blacking out was the worried voice of Richtofen and the feel of his strong arms wrapped around you as he laid your head on his lap before darkness consumed you.

Chapter 4:

*Your POV*

We decided to head over to Teleporter B to sync the teleporter as we all had enough of these 'points' to open the doors on the way. Luckily for us, we had somehow managed to accidentally save a crawler, so it was easy to get there quickly. The real problem was getting back to the mainframe before the 30 seconds were up. Before attempting to sync the teleporter, we decided it would be best to discuss who the fastest runner was out of the 5 of us. Of course being the lightest one, they all looked at me at first. However, Richtofen seemed really against the idea of me running off on my own. I guess even if there is a crawler left, that crawler could still die out and the next horde could start arriving when I'm only half way there. So in order to ensure my safety, Dempsey volunteered to go with me just in case the crawler decided to visit Hell a little early. This not only made Richtofen mad, but it also pissed off... Nikolai?! Hold up. I know I don't know him well but I sure as Hell know him well enough to know it takes quite a lot for his comrades to make him mad, especially Dempsey. 'Why is everyone suddenly so hostile to each other?' I thought to myself. It wasn't long before the men started bickering among themselves about who gets to accompany me to the mainframe. 'Men' you thought.

*3rd Person POV*

"ENOUGH!" Takeo shouted, instantly catching the immediate attention of the 3 arguing men. "Seeing as I clearly have the most honour, I will go with (Y/N)." He stated simply. Although he wasn't the strongest out of the 4 men, he definitely had the most power over them. For some odd reason, the other 3 were always a mixture of being too scared and having too much respect to argue against Takeo and his decisions. They silently decided in their heads that Takeo would probably be the best option anyway, seeing as he was the deadliest and had far too much discipline to even think about trying anything with (Y/N). Little did they know that his feelings towards

her had grown immensely over the short time they had known each other.

*Takeo's POV*

I could tell the others weren't going to argue with me. They never have and they never will. (Y/N) looked at me with a glimmer of thankfulness in her eyes, her beautiful (E/C) eyes. 'Stop it Takeo! You must maintain honour for your ancestors!' I thought to myself. This will be harder than I anticipated. I was snapped out of my thoughts when I heard Richtofen walk over to the teleporter to press the button. He looked at us before he pressed it to make sure we were ready. (Y/N) and I nodded then turned to the door, ready to run. As soon as we heard the familiar sound of Dr. Maxis' voice counting down the 30 seconds we ran as fast as our legs could take us.

We ran for what felt like an eternity, but really it was probably only 20 seconds, as we finally pressed the button at the mainframe to sync the teleporter. I don't know why but I felt absolutely exhausted. I had never run that fast in my life. I bent over slightly and rested my hands on my knees as I tried regain my breath. I was about to turn my head to look at (Y/N) until I felt a soft hand place itself on the top of my back, soothingly patting it as a sign of comfort. I felt my cheeks heat up slightly, but luckily my head was still bowed so (Y/N) couldn't see it. 'Is this what it feels like to be touched by an angel?' I thought to myself. I had finally caught my breath and stood up straight. I turned to look at (Y/N). She truly was beautiful. Everything about her just seemed so perfect. The way I towered over her small figure, the way her hands felt as soft as a pillow when they soothingly touched my back...

I hadn't realised I was staring at her until I was snapped out of my peaceful thoughts by her giggling. Her laugh was adorable! Just when I thought she couldn't get any better, she giggled. I would love to make her laugh that adorable laugh more some time. 'Oh (Y/N), if only you knew how I felt about you...'
