[NEWS] Sato Ryuji has been Cast in the TV Drama "With You I Bloom: The Shinsengumi Youth Chronicle"

DESCRIPTION

"With You I Bloom: The Shinsengumi Youth Chronicle" (Japanese title: Kimi to Yukite Saku ~ Shinsengumi Seishun Roku~) is a live action adaptation of the manga called "Shinsengumi" by Tezuka Osamu.

It tells the story of Fukakusa Kyujuro a young man who wants revenge for the death of his father, and joins the Shinsengumi in search for this justice.

SATO RYUJI'S CHARACTER

Sato Ryuji plays a mysterious man who comes to Kyujuro's aid when he meets the enemy who killed his father.

[1] This isn't the first time Ryuji has had a connection to Tezuka Osamu's works. The Brow Beat (his band where he is the main vocalist) has released "Tsumugu", which is the "BLACK JACK" manga 50th anniversary theme song.

[2] Miura Ryosuke, who has co-starred with Ryuji in "Jujutsu Kaisen The Stage" and "'Galaxy Express 999' THE MUSICAL" plays Serizawa Kamo.

They both played Gojo Satoru and Itadori Yuji respectively in Jujusute, and Captain Harlock and Prider/Count Mecha respectively in the 999 musical.

[3] Also included in the cast are Ryuji's co-stars from the "Musical Touken Ranbu", Takano Akira and Sakamoto Shogo, as Shinsengumi members. Akira (Hizamaru in Toumyu) plays Kondo Isami while Shogo (Horikawa Kunihiro in Toumyu) plays Hijikata Toshizo.

In Toumyu, Ryuji plays Kashuu Kiyomitsu, who is a sword owned by Okita Souji of the Shinsengumi. In KimiYuki, his identity is speculated to be Sakamoto Ryoma.

[4] Ryuji and Nagata Takato, who plays Yamanami Keisuke, have also co-starred in the TV drama "Sheasuru Ra! Instanto Ramen Arenji-bu wo Hajimemashita".

[5] Additionally, Kan Hideyoshi and Mokudai Kazuto play original characters who are part of the Shinsengumi. Along with Ryuji, they were part of "Kamen Rider Geats", playing Ukiyo Ace (Kamen Rider Geats), Michinaga Azuma (Kamen Rider Buffa) and Jitto/Zitt (Kamen Rider Regad) respectively.

On a related tokusatsu note, Ryuji also made his entertainment industry debut in "Kamen Rider Fourze" as Satake Teruhiko (Hound Zodiarts) and Miura Ryosuke plays Ankh in "Kamen Rider 000".

[6] Kan Hideyoshi and Ryuji have also co-starred in the movie "HiGH&LOW THE WORST X" where Ryuji plays Nishikawa Yasushi and Hideyoshi plays a member of Barasho.

[7] Kawai Hayato, the director of KimiYuki, also directed the TV drama "Kizoku Tanjou -PRINCE OF LEGEND-", which Ryuji was in.

Prince Of Legend

Specchio specchio delle mie brame….chi è il Principe più bello del reame?

Chiariamoci: sapevo già che questa serie sarebbe stata un mix tra trash e disagio. oltre che condita da bei ragazzi 

La locandina ed il trailer puzzavano lontano un miglio di anime giapponese con una trama sottile sottile, personaggi assurdi e situazioni totalmente no sense. Una roba demenziale per passare in tempo insomma.

Questo non mi ha fermata perchè io amo il trash giapponese. Mentre quello taiwanese e cinese non riesco - e non so perchè - a sopportarlo, le produzioni nipponiche tamarre e trash prendono il mio cuore. Non so, mi danno l’idea di essere più naturali. 

Dunque...la trama: trama?! parola grossa😅

Kanade Suzuki è il rampollo di una ricchissima società con un patrimonio stimato in trilioni. Ricco, bello, elegante, colto, nonchè noioso come la morte a parer mio è cresciuto per essere un Principe.

PARENTESI: Sto tizio tiene la foto della defunta madre in una stanza che per grandezza e vetrate pare una navata di una Chiesa. 😐 CHIUSA PARENTESI 

Un giorno riceve una chiamata dal padre che gli chiede di andare a trovare una ragazza liceale figlia di una sua ex fidanzata, che a seguito della dipartita della donna, ora vive di stenti. Il nobiluomo vuole conoscere la situazione della ragazza e sapere se magari ha bisogno di qualche tipo di aiuto. 

Kanade, accompagnato dai suoi due cortigiani - perchè non ha amici ma cortigiani e sto citando il drama - va nella scuola della ragazza e la trova intenta in una recita come Principessa. La signorina tira fuori frasi come:-” Oh mio Principe...siete venuto da me...come siete splendenteeeee” ed un mucchio di altre parole troppo imbarazzanti per essere scritte qui. 

Il Principe, siccome quando distribuivano il cervello lui era a fare la fila per la Nobiltà, non si accorge che quella è una recita e pensa che la signorina sia davvero una Principessa. Pensa quindi di avere trovato la donna della sua vita e senza nemmeno chiederle il nome, si inginocchia di fronte a tutti e le chiede di essere la sua Principessa. 

PARENTESI: io avrei risposto con due opzioni. La prima sarebbe stata quella di chiamare la Neuro per chiedergli se qualche ospite era scappato di recente. La seconda sarebbe stata quella di dirgli di si, poi accopparlo e prendergli tutti i soldi diventando la vedova più ricca del Giappone. CHIUSA PARENTESI 

La ragazza non è per nulla turbata della faccenda e mostrandosi per quella che è veramente una bifolca manda a quel paese il ragazzo prendendolo pure a spallate. #thank’sbutno 

A questo punto i drama mi hanno insegnato che dovrebbe partire la classica storia romantica tra i due che non si sopportano, che provengono da mondi troppo diversi e blablabla... ma questo non è un classico drama romantico. 

Perchè creare una storia classica quando puoi buttare tutto a merda e fare uno splendido casino nosense?! #adoro 

Kanade infatti è solo il primo di una lunghissima serie di Principi tutti diversi e uno più disagiato dell’altro: c’è quello che è ossessionato dalle donne, quello che mira a diventare il principe dei principi, quello violento.... l’obiettivo di tutta questa bella gente è una “guerra” tra Principi per diventare Il Principe della Leggenda.  alzo le mani

Ora siamo onesti: tutta questa serie è un monumento al fanservice. Ore e ore di videoclip di questi ragazzi, spesso senza maglia, che trasudano figaggine e ormoni mentre ballano, menano, suonano il pianoforte, filtrano con le ragazze o si guardano uno con l’altro con sguardi torvi. 

La trama non esiste perchè sei troppo concentrata sui ragazzi e quando il tuo cervello finalmente si ricollega alla storia...ecco che ne appare uno e subito ti scolleghi. 😅 

Aiuta parecchio il fatto che mezzo cast venga da High & Low - una garanzia per la figaggine - ed è stato bellissimo ritrovare e vedere questi attori in altri ruoli, anche se insensati. 

Visto che la trama è quella che è, ci si concentra sui personaggi: la lead la inserisco tra i “non pervenuti” visto che il suo ruolo è quello della bambolina. Un pupazzetto che sta lì e dice 10 parole in tutta la serie. Kanade - ossia il lead - l’ho trovato noioso come la morte ed ogni tanto mi partivano queste voglie di prenderlo e spingerlo giù per un dirupo.

 Molto meglio invece i fratelli Kyogoku, dove l’ex Yamato di High and Low mostra di stare una spanna sopra a tutti gli altri sia come recitazione sia come personaggio. 

Lui ed il fratello TOP personaggi della serie. 

La serie tra mille risate e disagio naviga verso un voto tutto sommato altino - considerando il genere - ma poi è arrivato il finale, che oltre ad essere una ladrata mi ha fatto girare le scatole in maniera atroce. E lo so che non dovrei prendermela perchè Prince of Legend è Prince of Legend, ma...stavi andando così bene! 

In sintesi questa serie è perfetta per chi cerca qualcosa di super leggero, divertentissimo, assurdo e pieno di trash nipponico, con vagonate di ragazzi pronti a fare i cretini per il divertimento di noi spettatori.

VOTO: 7+

Nota di merito infine per il Presidente Studentesco che mi ha regalato la GIF definitiva:

Parliamo del finale mannaggia a tutti i Principi e le Principesse : Kanade vince il titolo di Principe della Leggenda. Bravissimo. 😐 

Certo, c’è da mettere in evidenza che le prove da affrontare erano cose tipo “ chi ride prima” o “il gioco della sedia”. Roba puramente intellettuale, per dire. E potrei essere una cagacazzi dicendo che dal recap delle vittorie, non sembrava che il ragazzo potesse vincere. Ma va beh, lasciamogli pure la corona se ci tiene. 

Dove ho alzato gli occhi al cielo è nella parte romantica, ossia quando Kanade e la lead si mettono insieme. Ora, i due ragazzi avranno parlato si e no 5 volte e in tutti questi incontri si sono insultati. Non si sono mai parlati seriamente o confrontati sul nulla...e dall’oggi al domani, innamorati pazzi. 

E la cosa mi rode ancora di più perchè tra tutti i ragazzi che giravano intorno alla lead - il perchè lo sa solo iddio - ce ne erano alcuni che hanno davvero provato a conoscerla e parlarci. Lo stesso buon Yamato si apre con lei e cerca di instaurare un qualche tipo di rapporto. 

Ma lei ama Kanade perchè due anni prima della storia l’ha aiutata in piscina e poco importa se da quando è iniziata questa serie non si sono mai parlati. Lui poi non si ricorda nemmeno di lei! 

Ma a questo punto, anzichè farmi la storia romantica, buttami tutto sulle risate e fai finire la serie..che so....che alla lead piacciono le ragazze. O che è già fidanzata.... O che in realtà è un aliena...poteva essere divertente anche solo per vedere le facce dei ragazzi sbalorditi e buttare tutto in caciara. 

E invece...Kanade. Il Principino erede multimilionario capriccioso e viziato che a metà serie fa piani per far innamorare la lead di lui e poi lasciarla per farla soffrire. Come gli risponde Yamato:-” ma sei un bambino?” 🙄

I am interested in Prince of Legend, but was very confused by the one episode I watched and I'm still not - fully - certain of the plot line? If you want to talk about it, I'd be interested 😅

tbh there's no plotline. Prince of Legend is basically just a big fanservice all mashed together into the pretense of teen romance (a lot like Ouran High School Host Club)

All the characters are based on very specific character troupes and cliches from shoujo genre-- (ouji sama, smart cool guy, devoted right man, yankee, normal guy, classy traditional japanese etc etc)

It's obviously made to promote the exile tribe members and make them appeal to audience instead of serving any kind of purpose in the story lol

They also use the effect of gap moe to capture you because the way they are in the drama is very different to how they are in exile tribe. (e.g: Reo looks like a sophisticated classy traditional japanese guy in the drama but in exile tribe he is a macho bad boy that does krump)

I personally like it as someone who enjoys fictional troupes. I think they really nailed each character troupe and cast the perfect exile tribe member into each roles. Instead of the story being good, I like the dream/delusions they sell through Prince of Legend.

Which is also why I was also very obsessed with the mobage afterwards and even whaled for it LOL. Thank god it got shut down)

It's a superficial and self indulgent series, but I appreciate that everyone in the production are serious at it and did it with love.

tl;dr: prince of legend is literally just an otome drama and the exact moment I fell in love with it was when they made a hunk like Nobuyuki Suzuki go into full fanboy moment for his crush lol
