it makes me so insane that rhaenyra is doing to jace exactly what viserys did to her. while obviously rhaenyra cannot acknowledge her children's parentage publicly, this episode makes it clear that she has refused to acknowledge it to said children, even in private, ever. even though said children have been forced to live through stares and bullying and derision their entire lives because of it. and she continues to do things that undermine jace's claim, such that he is set up to face a potential civil war of his own when he tries to ascend to the throne. she is content to leave the consequences of her actions in having bastards for jace to deal with once she is dead, just as viserys was content to leave the consequences of his actions in making rhaenyra heir for rhaenyra to deal with once he was dead.

So I know people hate Kipperlilly and that's valid, but the tragedy of her existing as she is especially after the most recent episode actually makes me feel so bad for her. I hope the rat grinders get redemption.

Kipperlilly has wanted to succeed for so long, she had irrational hatred for her peers because she wanted success and glory and was unremarkable in her life. She was jealous and trying and thought that her unremarkable existence could be overshadowed if she simply was the best. But everything she did to get success only further cemented her into being forgettable. She gets so angry over this and as someone who was an irrationally angry teenager I get it so much.

And she was aware of this. She regularly visited Jawbone and we can't pretend it wasn't because she was selfaware of her own shortcomings. She knew her anger was messed up and I just know she was trying to figure out some way to get rid of it. Because being that angry all the time is horrible. She was probably frustrated and just wanted to cope. And jawbone helped. He wasn't perfect but he helped and that's why this girl from freshman to sophomore year kept returning.

She was self aware enough for his subtle questions to help her calm down. And yet an adult in her life was made aware of her mental health problems and chose to exploit them. Things she confided to a trusted adult got turned back on her leading to her and her party becoming tools, or dying if they refused.

Now kipperlilly isn't faultless. She's killed people, she's antagonistic and cruel, but her being a victim and a teenager just trying to get help makes me so incredibly sad for what she's become.

rewatching fantasy high freshman year is much funnier knowing what happens in junior year. there was like at least 2 evil plots going on at the same time at aguefort and the comedy potential of that did kalvaxus and porter ever run into each other while they're being evil and suspicious? did they ever have to coordinate when they need the gym for their nefarious plans or call dibs on which students they were manipulating as pawns?

With Dazai's habit of river jumping there's no way he doesn't smell like river water. I should also state in season 1 when Kunikida's reading off ways he's gotten complaints, he also apparently likes to bury himself in dirt. So it's probably on a regular basis that Kunikida has to come wrangle him out of riverbeds, dirt piles, and other unsightly areas. Local fisherman groans in annoyance because the wrong type of mackerel is caught in his fishnet... again.
