No April Fools art, I don't do that for some reason (that would require planning my art in advance lol), but I did follow a tutorial to make a procedural bronze texture! :D

All part of my grand scheme to model and render the fuck out of some sick-ass Tanta swords :3

There we go

it is a pain in the butt to use but oo shiny pretty colors

we're basically doing the same thing as a Gradient Map (pictured: Krita's version), which is a more direct way to manipulate the relevant data, but this works as a v0 because we have (awkward) access to all the bits (and bytes)

so now i've got it set up so it lerps between two arbitrary colors

this is far less dramatic than the patterns we would see previously, but that's because that was using a 3-color gradient, blue-black-red

I'm excited to mess around with arbitrary-number-of-colors gradients, but not excited about the hacky UIs I'll need to make along the way

(I guess I could use the same colors as the hardcoded 3color version for a better apples-to-apples comparison huh)

Couldn't find good Shanix reference so I just made my own

was going to write some robot money headcanons but migraine too stronk so here's the short one

TFMR headcanon - What a bot can buy with each Shanix coins

Brown coin - Energon gumball from a gumball machine, or a dry-ice popsicle from a street vendor

silver coin - cheap everyday items from Rivets Mart(something like Cybertronian Dollar Tree), such as laundry clips, trash bins and so on

Gold coin - A simple meal from cheapest local diner

i don’t think i’ve been intentionally writing cait on the spectrum but i LOVE characters on the spectrum & enjoy writing them (idk how far back you’ve read in all the stuff i’ve written but gaf au lexa is still so near & dear to my heart). idk if i’ll write a whole prompt abt cait on the spectrum (totally makes sense for her but i just have no set plans for anything in this world lmao) but she could definitely tell vi at some point who’s like ok cool! lmao. jinx is a merry go round of a Lot of stuff so truly vi is like 🥰🥰 ur lovely i love you

Month 4, day 20

Sooooo hahaha guess who done goofed and forgot to turn on a setting when rendering 500 frames of animation and now has to do them all over again haha lol oops :D

Guess who did her math wrong last night because she thought she was rendering 100 frames so it's actually gonna take six and a half hours :D

Anyway while that's happening have a procedural quartz texture I made following this tutorial. Top is the default settings after the tutorial and bottom is me playing with the controls on it. No idea what happened with Suzanne (the monkey)'s ear in the first one; I think it has something to do with how the mesh is being displaced by the texture. But yeah, yay, learning! :D
