Steven Moffat very deliberately didn't tell anyone other than Alex Kingston the true identity of River Song while filming 'Silence In The Library'.

This worked to great effect, as nobody knew how to react, and David Tennant's confusion in particular is entirely genuine.

According to Moffat, Tennant assumed the River Song was a future incarnation of the Doctor. He made absolutely no effort to correct him.
