A Protea Ink Drawing

This is one of my personal favourite drawings of a protea flower, indigenous to Southern Africa, which I’d made some time ago.

I have used it on cotton textile gifts and it is now available as an art print in black acrylic paint onto 300 gram multi media art paper— hand silkscreen printed from my home studio:)

Quick little time lapse video of the start of some hairy detail. I work very wet on wet, using a lot of linseed oil as medium to make it easier to get the paint to move.
