Toronto. March 26th, 2016. This was an early model shoot for me, in the midst of a bedbug scare that ended up actually being contact dermatitis... This photo got zapped in the purge of 2017.

It's weird how choices I made in re-editing today made it turn out so different from its original version.

A Temporary Retirement Job by Danial Via Flickr: Wisconsin & Southern F45 1002, is one of three purchased by the railroad in early 1992 (1001, 1002, 1003). The 1002 was built for the Burlington Northern in April 1971 and spent many years working for it's keep. When the BN purged the unit, it went to NRLX as their 6642 and soon ended up pulling tourists around for Transisco Tours. Here, the 1002 has just returned to Horicon, after getting a fresh coat of Wisconsin & Southern's crimson and gray at the Wisconsin Central's paint shop in North Fond du Lac in June 1992. These were pretty cool units to run, but proved to be a bit big for the vintage Milwaukee Road jointed 85-90 lb rail at the time. In 1994, the units were sold to the Montana Rail Link where they would serve out the rest of their time, and the 1002 would become their MRL 392. WSOR 1002 Horicon, WI. June 1992

Fly 737 for Sapporo par The Parks Via Flickr : The crew of the White Old Bird, private jet of the Grand Charles, is made up of Captain Moo Moon Ysse, who was never a captain and who learned piloting on the job, by stealing a starship cruiser, to escape from the gulag planet, Phukaz XIII, with its synthetic kapo, DtooRtoo69, renamed Naomi Toottbell. Naomi is normally the only synthetic to have survived the purge following her defection, the great Inkiziteuze having decided to make an example of this faulty material, the synthetics were all incinerated and replaced by meka Reboots.

Night at Cedar Lake by steve55126 Via Flickr: Chicago & North Western train 703 is ready to depart the ex-Minneapolis & St. Louis Cedar Lake Yard in Minneapolis on the night of Dec. 27, 1977. This was in the days you could walk in the yard and shoot, and the crew just waved as I popped off flashbulbs. Interestingly, C&NW had gotten rid of all the M&StL's Fs in the 1960s after their merger, but the CGW merger in 1968 brought back F units. 20 units were rebuilt at Oelwein in the 1970s, and these ended up surviving after North Western purged most Fs from the roster in 1976.
