I quite like this lass on Taskmaster because she's sorta wearing fetish gear - it's tight black PVC yes - but it's dungarees. And she's wearing it over a baggy t-shirt with some wholesome brightly-coloured Doc Martens. And I'm actually quite into that.

Militant Women
Time has come for 21st century woman to quit fairy tales fantasies of pink dresses princesses waiting for the happily ever after finale to come. The bourgeois spoiled and adored daddy’s favourite attitude looks demodè against the most recent socio-cultural and historical background.
Tumblr media
Fashion,  seems to be one of the most emerging artistic field to push for this change. The industry prooved particularly sensible to the feminist cause pushing it forwartd through the showcase of rebellious and glamorous collections for the spring summer season 2018. The clothes for the upcoming season are characterised by a visible and strong image of a combactive woman, or better, a heroine. The outfits presented in the various fashion weeks featured  new codes on their fabric, new rebellious vocabulary, new fighting tactics. The image of the  Militant Woman of today is that of a combactive warrior, who chooses action to stand out and fight for the values she believes in. This fashionable heroines express their power by wearing a different and vast array of clothing including oversized garments, masculine overalls, dangerous leather biker jackets, combat boots and chains. Everything is adorned by military and nautical references, grunge rock influences. Moreover other recurring elements could be written words or drawn prints wore as a sort of manifesto carrying a silent yet powerful message. Many designers welcomed the protest giving different yet brilliant interpretations of it.
Disquared2 has identified many different miitant powerful codes synthesizing them in clothes managing to find a perfect balance. Spacing from 90’s grunge to leather mini skirts, combat boots and aggressive metal details with a touch o leopard prints on hot pants. The brand ideal woman represent the link between a confortable past and an active future.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Moschino, instead, is a combo of pure irony and total freedom. There is no censure in Jeremy Scott’s mixure of a girly imagination of a world of unicorns and rainbows with leather jackets and fetish accessorises. The designer rendered his desire for irreverence a political message, proposing an emancipated strogn woman still consciouos of her feminine side.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Prada’s woman protest took literally shape in a vast use of images and illustrations. The collection is oriented to a reality without predjudices where a woman can identify itself with a strong heroine printed on their clothes, feeling confortable and beautiful even in mannish oriented clothes.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Lorenzo Serafini’s imagery of woman is androginous mixing both genders clothing elements.Thewy wear military and nautical dungarees and obi belt borrowed form the japanese tradition. The muse was Tina Chow, pioneress of a sensual androginous style.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Aquilano Rimondi’s main source of inspiration was joan Miro. The aertist’s legacy is to be found in the use of elementary colors and higly impactive symbols and letters printed on cotton with a touch of contemporaneity represented by the Pvc.

BACK IN TIME: LADY GAGA GRABS FISH AND CHIPS WEARING EINE, TOM FORD, DKNY & AMBUSH
On todays trip down memory lane we’ll have a look at Lady Gaga’s “Botticelli Punk” look that she wore during her little trip out in London to grab some fish and chips on August 27, 2013.
Tumblr media
Firstly, the glossy PVC dungarees belong to EINE’s Fall/Winter 2012 collection titled “No.001″. EINE is a sensual hybrid of luxury fetish and fashion by Central Saint Martins graduate Petra Metzger (the pants were also presented as part of the London-based fashion designer’s sharp and tailored graduate collection, “Shapes of Revolution”).
Made in a highly glossy PVC fabric with jersey backing, these boast elastic on the side of the waist, deep fold in the front, which buttons down with a flap on the side, hidden pockets inside the fold and removable pair of woolen braces.
Her pink Signature lace underwire demi bra is by DKNY.
Tumblr media
She paired the look with pink dreadlock-interwoven “Seashell Girl” wig by Frederic Aspiras, signature Tom Ford Samuele sunglasses
Tumblr media
Gaga’s jewelry was provided by AMBUSH. She wore the pink leather-wrapped Gang gold chain bracelet...
Tumblr media
...and one of the blue skull safety pin earrings as a brooch on her suspenders.
Tumblr media
Her favorite Alaïa Fall/Winter 2012 lace-up platform ankle boots with buckled ankle strap and lug sole completed the look.

LONDON | Anything goes: Day 2 of London Fashion Week heats up
New Post has been published on https://www.stl.news/london-anything-goes-day-2-of-london-fashion-week-heats-up/170560/
LONDON | Anything goes: Day 2 of London Fashion Week heats up
LONDON  — Winter coats with sandals? Furry bags with long satin gowns? Anything goes as the fashion pack descends on London to take in the latest runway shows. Veteran designer Jasper Conran, model-turned-designer Alexa Chung and House of Holland were among those showcasing their wares at Day 2 of London Fashion Week on Saturday.
A look at some highlights: ___ JASPER CONRAN
Conran, one of the founding designers of London Fashion Week, chose the Royal Academy of Arts as his show venue and fittingly offered up a collection of bold, painterly colors — and a surprising dose of women’s rights activism.
There were monochrome striped dresses, graphic prints, beautifully tailored bias-cut dresses and sporty outfits, all in clashing hues taken straight from the artist’s paint box: pea green, tangerine, butter yellow and fire engine red. Some outfits even featured paint splatters.
Some models wore the same bold shade from head to toe. One sported a bright pink jumpsuit, paired with forest green hair. Classic, elegant shapes ensured the overall look was tasteful, not garish.
Sharing the catwalk was a T-shirt dress with large letters reading “Equality not Minority.” In his show notes, Conran cited sobering statistics about women’s pay and referenced the #MeToo movement, writing: “As a young boy I remember seeing my mother working hard lobbying to gain rights for women . it is clear that the battles fought for equality are still far from over.”
Actress Kristin Scott Thomas, who watched from the front row, said she loved the simplicity and sophisticated tailoring.
“The colors always amaze me. And that pink jumpsuit has my name on it!” she said. ___ ALEXA CHUNG
Long a fashion week regular, model and TV presenter Alexa Chung made her debut as a designer at London Fashion Week.
Known for her quirky fashion sense, with her penchant for boyish styling, schoolgirl collars and penny loafers, Chung offered a look-book for fans keen to replicate her style.
Playing on a theme of “arrivals and departures,” guests were first treated to a theatrical show of models coming and going, half-glimpsed through openings in a wooden panel.
When the models finally emerged, they wore an array of lacy camisole slip dresses, capes accessorized with headscarves and dresses with postcard prints. There was something for everyone, from a sexy sequined party dress to an egg-blue PVC raincoat to dorky-cool cream dungarees and boiler suits.
Some of the silhouettes had a distinctly ’70s vibe. A cream, double-breasted suit featured high-waisted, slightly bootcut trousers.
Brown suede coats and separates also recalled styles from that era.

FASHION: 7 GORGEOUS DRESSES FOR WOMEN!
The global retail sector for apparel & clothing has been growing steadily, with an average 5.46% increase in demand every year. This means we are shopping like anything. But even after all this shopping and our overflowing wardrobes, we always seem to run out of clothes for the right occasion. At times, it can be really frustrating to sort through the pile of clothes just to realize we don’t have the right fit for the cocktail party.
We did our homework and came up with a list of 7 drop dead gorgeous dresses that women absolutely love. Not just because these are drop-dead gorgeous, but also because it makes it easier for us to venture into any occasion with this collection in the closet.
Let’s find out more. I’m sure we are heading out for shopping this weekend, after reading this.
Bohemian Chic Dresses –
The Boho frenzy that emerged around the 1960s has proved to be a favorite among women. Because of the flowy, easy and airy garment, Boho dresses have always allured women. These add a punch of breezy comfort and mystique style.
@LISAFOLAWIYO
What to choose from?
From short length kaftans to long maxi dresses or cascading evening gowns, you have a multitude of options here. Paisley, embroidered, floral, geometric are some example prints.
What to style it with?
If you go for a mini boho dress or a Kaftan, you should opt for a heavy oxidized silver or ivory necklace, maybe some Kalapi or Goose feather earrings.
Sequin Party Dresses
This is not your typical fit-and-flare or skater dress that people might overlook. So caution: wear this only on days you can handle all the attention and compliments! There’s a fine line between a decadent look and a tacky one. And it all depends on how you style it up.
@ABI_AKD
What to choose from?
From backless sequin gowns to mini dresses in sparkly colors, from high neck to bodycon dresses to grungy slip numbers to one shoulder dresses and sparkly shift dresses. The market is studded with a plethora of sequin options.
What to style it with?
If you are not in the mood to experiment, just go for basic black pumps say, under-accessorize here, and sport an elegant Meghan Markle hairdo.
Another tip – go for airbrush make-up if the occasion is very special.
Corset Dresses –
Feeling a little less confident about your body but still willing to make an effort to catch compliments? Corset dresses help you do just that. Even though people have had mixed opinions about the comfort of corsets through the generations, it definitely arouses the wow factor in every woman.
@MARVEE_
What to choose from?
From no-frills corsets to denim leather and PVC, to premium hobble corsets. Keep in mind that you chose the right size. Failing to do so can make the evening terrible.
What to style it with?
Avoid low-rise skirts that result in conflicting lines with a corset. Go for stretchy tube skirts instead. When pairing it up with a corset dress, make sure you don’t pull your shirt too far down.
Sheath Dresses –
These are my absolute favorite ones because of the versatility and confidence they exude. Sheath dresses aim to make your waist look small and gives an hourglass shape. They are the right mix of conservative and fashionista. Good choice for no-break-only-work days.
What to choose from?
The basic look of most sheath dresses is similar but it is surprising what you can do to style it up. From mid-thigh to mid-calf, the length of the dress varies.
What to style it with?
Go for basic nudes or black pumps or wedges and maybe team it up with a blazer. For an elite look, wear a nice high collared necklace or a choker and you are ready to go. Layering works well here.
Off Shoulder Dresses –
If you are not living in a cave, you definitely know what an uproar the off shoulder apparel has recently created. Go on, try your hand at these dresses as well. The little bit of skin exposure that comes with an off shoulder dress is what makes it so feminine and sexy.
What to choose from?
For the petite ladies, avoid dresses that offer too much fabric and go for the ones that help accentuate your body shape. While the curvy ladies should go for floaty and layered fabric which helps streamline your shape and drives away focus from problem areas.
What to style it with?
It is important to have the right inner garment for this kind of dress. You need to explore and arrive at your personal favorite bra that gives you enough confidence for your off-shoulder dress.
Another thing that is to be kept in mind while flaunting an off shoulder is to take care of skin and armpits. Ensure you are clean on the skin from neck to shoulders. The armpits should be cleaned too.
Cami Dresses –
So for all you beautiful women out there, this is one dress you cannot say no to. Just a look at it, and you already feel relaxed and into your woke-mode. From a simple carefree look to a more elegant and sensual look, the deep V neck or the spaghetti strapped dress gives you that chilled yet feminine look.
What to choose from?
Lace camis, mesh overlays, jersey bodycon camis and the basic nightie-look cami, the cami dress is pretty much out there in all those comfortable and sexy feels. From velvet camis to high split ones, you can always experiment with the bold ones here and never go wrong.
What to style it with?
Catch hold of a nice braided choker for your neck for a bold look. Wear it with a turtleneck sweater/off-shoulder shrug/sheer blouse. Whatever you choose, remember to go for minimal accessorizing as that is what helps seal the sweet look.
Denim Dresses –
Every woman has had this whim of owning at least one jean dress because of how smart and comfortable they are. This is just a timeless classic and no-one needs to explain why it is so popular
What to choose from?
Fit and flared jean dresses, buttoned-down minis, midi denim dress, boho denim kaftan style dress, shirt dress, dungarees.
What to style it with?
With your classic shirt dress, wear heels and bare legs or maybe even tight leggings. For buttoned dresses, go for peppy flats and maybe a tote bag. The pinafore denim dress gives a retro feels and has to be paired with a T-shirt below it. Keep it as simple and natural as possible and you will be slaying hearts in no time!
