The Rocky Mountain elk (Cervus canadensis nelsoni) is a subspecies of elk found in the Rocky Mountains and adjacent ranges of Western North America.

The winter ranges are most common in open forests and floodplain marshes in the lower elevations. In the summer it migrates to the subalpine forests and alpine basins. Elk have a diverse habitat range that they can reside in but are most often found in forest and forest edge habitat and in mountain regions they often stay in higher elevations during warmer months and migrate down lower in the winter. They may even come down the mountain and leave the forest into some grassland for part of the day but head back into the timber in the evening.

Climate change/warming can keep elk in their higher elevation habitats for longer into the winter than normal. Climate changes such as warming have in some cases even increased the seasonal range of elk in the winter. For example, in Yellowstone the climate warming has kept the snow at a lower level than in the past and has given the elk the ability to populate higher ranges than before. The lack of snow in Yellowstone has also given the elk an advantage over the wolves in their predator prey relationship because wolves rely on deep snow to hunt elk in winter ranges of Yellowstone. The total wild population is about one million individuals.

Their populated Canadian ranges occur in Alberta's Jasper and Banff National Parks as well as British Columbia's Kootenay and Yoho National Parks.

finishing bomb rush a second time has me feeling the same sense of riding high off the climax of the story and then crashing into a brick wall when there's next to nothing to do once the campaign is over all over again. I say it almost every time I mention this game but god I really want like, a chapter select menu or something at least.

I also managed to avoid a lot of the things I found irritating on the first pass by just tagging everything I could see as soon as I entered a new part of an area, and then doing all the crew lackey challenges at once as late as possible. since cops only start spawning in an area after you've beaten a few lackeys, I only had to deal with them for a fraction of the time I did last time. kind of a whack gameplay loop but it made it significantly more fun.

I still wish there was more differentiating the characters and vehicles. it all feels very cosmetic in an unsatisfying way. but I imagine designing for bigger differences could have caused the scope to get out of hand. I think if you're going to include differentiated character types like that where the original game didn't, you kinda need to do something with it, though

overall I don't think playing it a second time made me like anything less, the music and the visual design and the story all still really hit for me, and the movement only gets more fun to play with as you get comfortable with it. it's a really cool game, I just wish it didn't end so abruptly

Pyramid Lake is a kidney-shaped lake in Jasper National Park, Alberta, Canada. It lies at the foot of Pyramid Mountain, a natural landmark that overlooks the town of Jasper. It has a total area of 1.2 km2 (0.46 sq mi) and discharges in Athabasca River through the 2 km (1.2 mi) long Pyramid Creek.

Several picnic sites are established on the shores of the lake, as well as boat ramps. Pyramid Lake Lodge is located on the southeast point of the lake. Pyramid Island is a short distance from the resort, there is a small parking area which can be accessed by a road or hiking trails, then you cross a small wood foot bridge to the island itself, which has benches, picnic tables and a small open wooden shelter. Pyramid Lake is connected to the town of Jasper by Pyramid Lake Road and hiking trails, as well as hiking trails to other tourist sites such as Pyramid Mountain, Patricia Lake and Cabin Lake.
