thinking about qforever and how everything he does, he does with so much love it bleeds into it, how he made the egg hotel because i loves richarlyson and richars loves his friends so of course he wants his friends safe! how much time he spent gathering resources to make sure not only him and his son but everyone else could be safe in case the federation tried to fuck with them, how he got worried sick when he couldn't find richars and how sad he was all the time when he wasn't there. thinking about how much time he spent making the xp farm for himself and the favela fives and then decided to actually share it with others because guess what? he loves them! how broken and devastated he was when cellbit said he wanted to take richarlyson from him, because richarlyson is his son and he loves him oh so very much.

Dream SMP Recap (March 14/2021) -     The Plan
Tommy tells Tubbo and Ranboo about his plan to kill Dream and they establish a space to stake out the prison.
While they plot, though, an old friend makes his return!
---
VOD LINKS:
Foolish
Tubbo
Tommy
Ranboo
Captain Puffy
Eret
---
- Tommy walks over to look at the prison. He has a plan to kill Dream.
- He briefly greets Sam Nook and shelters him from the rain
- First, he heads over to Snowchester to explain to Tubbo and Ranboo what’s gong on. He makes it there and looks in the mansion. Foolish sees him, having thought he was dead.
- Tubbo and Ranboo come over and explain the manor house. To discuss business, they go to the execution room.
- Tommy asks Tubbo about getting married without him. Then Tommy opens up to Ranboo about feeling lonely about Ranboo stealing his best friend.
- He then tells the both of them that he died in prison and Dream is planning on breaking out. When he was dead, he spoke to Schlatt and Wilbur. Tubbo asks if Schlatt’s changed his ways.
- Tommy explains that time passes faster in death.
- Someone made an explosion on the top of the prison, Technoblade owes Dream a favor and might be a problem, Tommy wants to stake out the prison.
- Tubbo asks why it’s different now. Why didn’t they just kill him to begin with? Tommy tells Tubbo that he’s only planning on reviving Wilbur. The revive book wouldn’t be used for good.
- Ranboo agrees with Tommy. Tubbo asks why they wouldn’t want to revive Wilbur — Tommy tells them that Wilbur’s different now and can’t be let back. Tubbo still has doubts about the plan.
- They decide to make a space near the prison to observe.
- Tubbo leads them to his detective room
- Tommy tells them that Sam has failed his job and went against his orders to not let anybody else visit. Ranboo and Tubbo ask who else has visited since — Tommy doesn’t know.
- Tubbo shows him the evidence.
- They go back to Tommy’s house and Tommy reads Puffy’s message.
- The Egg comes up in conversation. Ranboo thinks it’ll solve itself.
- They go into the Nether to gather resources
- They spot Punz on top of the Eggpire meeting room and briefly speak with him. Ghostbur also shows up.
- Tommy asks if Ghostbur remembers him being dead and speaking with him. Ghostbur says the last time he spoke with Tommy was a couple days ago.
- Tommy asks about Wilbur, not Ghostbur. Ghostbur’s been away, he doesn’t remember.
- Ghostbur points out how everything is red. He likes it, red’s a good color. Like blue but wrong.
- Tommy asks Ghostbur if he wants Wilbur to come back.
Ghostbur: “The world needs structure and order, and he was good at that.” Tommy: “The world needs less villains, and he was a villain if I’ve ever seen one.” Ghostbur: “Sometime’s the line’s a little blurry… A villain is just a hero you haven’t convinced yet.”
Tommy: “No, but he started as a hero, and then he was the villain. I don’t think we should bring him back ever.”
- Ghostbur loves being able to walk around, he loves being able to touch things
- Tommy tells Ghostbur that he spent months with Wilbur, and Wilbur can’t come back. Ghostbur asks about the time conversion in Limbo.
Apparently in the afterlife, Wilbur spent a month explaining hemorrhoids
- They show Ghostbur the prison
- Ghostbur asks why Tommy doesn’t want Wilbur back again. Tommy says when they were trying to bring him back, he still thought there was some “brotherness” there
- Ghostbur points out he spent a lot of time with Schlatt, and Schlatt’s “the bad guy.” Schlatt and Eret.
- They say there are a lot of other bad guys out there, like Dream. Ghostbur says Dream was nice to him, though.
- They ask about Tubbo and Ranboo’s marriage (they got married for tax reasons initially) and they also bring up Michael.
- They introduce Ghostbur to Michael.
- Eret points out that he tried to revive Wilbur a while ago in chat. Ghostbur doesn’t remember.
- They head to the McPuffy’s and encounter Connor on the Prime Path. He gives Ghostbur his stabbin’ knife back. Ghostbur asks if Connor has his Chekhov’s Gun.
- They introduce Ghostbur to Sam Nook
- Sam Nook tells Tommy that Awesam gave him specific orders to keep Tommy away from the prison for his own safety. He says he might have to report this to Awesam, and he won’t be pleased.
- They continue building the tower
- Ranboo tells Ghostbur he hasn’t seen him in a while. Ghostbur’s been sleeping. The resurrection was stressful — he got a glimpse of the other side. He’s back because Tommy needed him, and he heard it through the grapevine.
- Ghostbur asks why they’re trying to break into the prison again. Ranboo explains that they need to kill Dream, or else a lot of bad things — even things Tommy doesn’t know about — might happen.
- Ghostbur says that Dream was a bad guy, but then they were friends. Ranboo explains that Dream tends to manipulate to gain power, and they need to get rid of him because he still has power.
- Ghostbur asks what the worst he could do is — Ranboo says he could bring back the “villains” in this story.
Schlatt? Mexican Dream?
- Ghostbur asks if bringing back Wilbur is off the table. Ghostbur is scared. Not scared of Wilbur, but scared of going back to nothing. He likes being here.
- Ranboo never knew Wilbur, only Ghostbur. But it seems like Ghostbur is Wilbur’s good intentions.
- Ghostbur’s read Wilbur’s memoirs (though they’re destroyed now), and explains that Wilbur started out with good intentions.
Ghostbur: “Now more than ever, I think it’s really important we have a leader.”
- Ghostbur is willing to help, whether that means keeping Ghostbur or bringing back Wilbur. Ranboo doesn’t know what would be best, though.
Ghostbur: “History is written by the winners.” Ranboo: “Yeah, and he…technically won.” Ghostbur: “But he lost, everyone hates him.” Ranboo: “I don’t think that everyone hates him. I don’t really hate him, I mean it’s like hearing about a historical figure.”
- Ghostbur leaves to get snacks, leaving Ranboo to ponder. Tubbo never told him much about Wilbur. He doesn’t know — he doesn’t think they need a leader.
Ranboo: “Because if someone rules everyone, then when the leader becomes corrupted, then — well, we see what happens.”
- He doesn’t think anyone really wants Wilbur back, so why is it even a question? All they know is that they have to kill Dream. The only person who might want Wilbur back would be Phil.
- If they can get rid of Dream, then everything will be good! If Dream comes out of prison, the voice might come back too. And the one thing Dream will want is revenge against the people who put him in the prison in the first place.
- Ranboo needs to be involved and not stand idly by. As the person with three lives, he has the upper hand.
- Ghostbur returns with snacks! He also gives Ranboo some blue
- Ranboo goes back to his house and looks at his vault, where he has an extra set of maxed Netherite armor. The others need new sets prepared.
- Puffy sees the Red Banquet decorations being set up in the Egg Room
- As she walks around on the surface, she talks about how Tommy is making an effort to better himself with therapy
- She’s heard a rumor today about her “duckling,” Dream — that people are plotting to kill him.
- Dream has done wrong, she says,
“But, more than anything else…murder…is not a proper consequence to another murder. Two wrongs don’t make a right. And although I’m not a Dream apologist — believe me I hold him more accountable than most — there’s a reason that I haven’t visited him. And…it’s because I don’t think, right now, he deserves it. But…as much as he’s wronged Tommy, as much as maybe Tommy thinks this will help him in the long run, in some way, shape or form…I think it’s gonna hurt Tommy more than anything. I think, ultimately, Tommy’s gonna feel guilty for this and we don’t — I don’t know how he’s gonna handle it! I don’t know if Tommy’s meant to be the one to go through something like this again, even if it results in Dream’s death.”
“See…the thing about morals is, everybody has different ones.”
- She says Dream needs to pay, and the walls of the prison aren’t secure enough to contain his chaos. She doesn’t think it’s as impenetrable as Sam says it is.
- Dream is stuck in prison, but he’s still the topic of discussion on everyone’s minds — which Puffy sees as the jail not doing its job.
- Everybody has now seen how they’ve reacted to Tommy’s death, including the people who didn’t care, and they now have to come to terms with that.
“More than just therapy is coming to the Dream SMP."

So I'm not trying to claim that CTommy never did anything wrong with this but I'm genuinely having trouble thinking of a single action he's taken that, if we have him not do that, would have prevented.... Yknow ... Shit.
Not burning George's house down, even accidentally? He would have been framed for one of Dream's things and the rift between him and tubbo would have actually been WORSE because this time it'd have been a wrong accusation in the first place.
Not betrayed technoblade? Doomsday would still have happened just at a later date because techno was literally planning on doing it all along, just now Tommy would have been facing Dream alone because... Cmon... Technos Not a reliable ally against dream if he doesn't have any personal stakes in it and especially not if he owes dream a favor. Shit would have been worse.
Not let Wilbur out of his sight on the 16th? Techno would have still set the withers lose and with all the tnt everywhere there's no way nothing would have gone off.
And I want to specify that I mean actions that he did in canon that he should not have done to get a better outcome, not actions he didn't take in canon that he should have which would have resulted in a better outcome.
Because everyone on this server is a passive bitch and if I started listing shit characters could and should have done even considering their limited knowledge is be here forever.
And this is important to me because all the antis always say that Tommy keeps messing everything up with his actions. And just. I know that's bullshit but I still want to indulge bullshit like that a bit serious now and then to make sure I'm not spouting shit out of my ass like dream apologists.
But yeah, anyways, if you can think of something please fucking tell me because I really can't think of anything.
I know something related to the discs would be what quite a few people who are critical of his character would spout about, but he has done nothing but give them up over and over again for the sake of others, so not that.
Someone could argue that him not getting involved with the founding of L'Manburg at all could have yielded a better outcome, but truth is that Wilbur would still have had Tubbo and Fundy by his side (and perhaps Eret, who knows), so Tommy not participating wouldn't really have changed much aside from having Wilbur be even more alone down the line in Pogtopia, which I think would not have made things "better" for sure...
The only thing I can actually think about (though this would mostly have been good for him) was him not going to see Dream again for closure? Tommy not dying in there would have at the very least slowed down Sam's corruption arc. Quackity would still know about the resurrection book though, because Glatt was the one to tell him, but it would be harder for him to pressure Sam into letting him into the prison. Also Tommy would not have been aware of Dream being still dangerous, so we'd probably still have Ghostbur which would be definitively a positive. Tommy would also still have his hotel (which would probably be a worse development for Jack since the hotel kinda gave him a healthier secondary purpose) and probably no therapy.
Is it a net positive or a net negative? Honestly no idea. But it would feel pretty f*cked up to tell the abused kid that he is at fault here for trying to get closure, ngl...

Doomsday: Rambling about c!Tommy and his relationship with c!Techno
Again, all roleplay. Swearing and opinions ahead!
I think the problem with Tommy's character is that everywhere he goes, there's tragedy.
I can assure you that even if he gave up the discs a long time ago, Dream would still be at his tail because he even said, "[Tommy] You're fun to play with." Dream would just move on and target L'manberg or worse, Tubbo. Because Dream doesn't like anyone who questions his utter control of power and you know, with or without the discs, Tommy will still go against Dream cus honestly same. (He is such a bitchboy dickhead fucker. Anyone who has a crush on c!Dream please check on yourself.)
In short, Dream would remain the constant in Tommy's story with or without the discs. Dream will be there to destroy everything he's worked for. Dream would be there to twist his words and actions. Dream would be there to manipulate the people he loves against him.
The SMP will still believe that Tommy is the main cause of all the server's problems. Partly because of Dream's mindgames but at the same time, it's because he's easiest to blame. (S1 and S2: "This is all Tommy's fault" *looks at Dream, El Rapids, Captain Puffy, Vilbur, George etc etc*)
Everyone sees Tommy as reckless and selfish. They say he steals for his own benefit. They say he griefs and is the reason the server looks as blown up as it is. They say he never learns from his lessons.
But you see, as much as these sentences are partially true (I'll admit it okay. I'm a tommyinnit apologist after all), they can never be more wrong. He's being framed for blowing up at least 4 server buildings for god's sake. Also, how do you expect a kid to "learn his lesson" when you use violence, manipulation, and trauma to teach it? Like it seems like you're taking inspiration from Asian parents but let me tell you, it doesn't work.
I can guarantee you that blowing up a child's home will not teach him about the failures of government. I can assure you that bringing him back to his abuser will not give him character development. I can 100% say that blaming the kid for every time you're home got destroyed will not repair it. It will just break the kid more.
And despite that, Tommy still remains the most strong willed of the server. Why? Say thanks to Vilbur and his nightmares woohoo. He doesn't blame the SMP for leaving him, wanting to put it behind him to save his home. He always knows that Dream is just puppeteering everyone and that's why, even with Techno, he was so adamant in bringing him down. (I remember when Ghostbur asked him who blew up NLM, Tommy immediately answered Dream sith conviction and said Techno and Phil with a little bit more hesitance which is just hnggggg). This is not even touching the amount of sacrifices Tommy has given to protect the people and places he loved.
He doesn't want to be the bad guy like Vilbur said. And he will always strive against it in the ways he knows how. Protect Tubbo. Protect L'manberg. Get discs. Kill Dream.
And that's what Techno does not understand. He is completely valid in his quest for revenge but fails to take into account Tommy's trauma specifically the trauma he himself has inflicted on the kid. For someone who says healing takes time, he fails to see that Tommy is scared of what he has become and is trying to escape from that. He fails to see that the one thing Tommy needs is a sense of normalcy and his home: L'manberg. (And honestly, they both fail in that regard but the difference is Techno can carry himself in a 1v30 and can always count on Phil. Tommy can't say the same. And besides Techno isn't the target of a literal god who doesn't have any morals. At least, not yet......)
But Geese, you say. "Tommy's selfish for leaving Techno after everything Techno has done for him." Stfu, you sound like my mom. Yes, Tommy's relationship with Techno, by far, is the healthiest one Tommy has ever had on the server. But I don't think it's healthy to say Tommy owes Techno for being treated like a human? That should be given fact! Tommy should be treated with care and that shouldn't come with a price. Yes, Techno deserves the care to be reciprocated as well but Tommy has done that. Before he sided with Tubbo, he always acted on what he thinks would make Techno proud. You would know if you watched his streams.
So Tommy, after seeing the destruction of his home, tired of everyone seeming to act against him, calls Techno selfish and a tyrant. Cus honestly he is. Tommy is right in saying how Techno could have compromised. He could have targeted the Butcher army. Gotten leverage. Done minor terrorism like they planned to. Quackity was on his last life for fuck's sake (I have such a vendetta against c!Quackity and I am not afraid to say it). But to destroy L'manberg was overstepping it because other people lived there. He lived there. In Tommy's eyes, if Techno did consider him as friends, he would've spared L'manberg. (Also the tnt was just overkill like really dude. It was cool at first but it was also kind of not especially with c!Dream acting like a prick with it.) And it's heartbreaking seeing both sides. (Which not a lot of people consider in the fandom but who am I to complain.) They care about each other but not in what they believe in and their methods.
And yet the fandom, at least what I saw from people livetweeting on twitter, is just "Tommy is selfish." And last night, I was like that because I was so goddamn tired of the discs but then I realized, after everything that happened during Doomsday, that's the only thing he can count on to give him some sense of power against the one person he knows that started it all. Yes, I agree. Tommy shouldn't care about the discs anymore but I think he already has this unspoken rule within himself that it's okay for Dream to burn the discs due to the many times he has said to just burn the discs. This frees himself from upcoming manipulation. He just needs it to control Dream in return.
I can't wait for Wilbur to come back. Because I truly believe that he is the only one who fully understands Tommy (pre-exile of course). I just want Tommy to have a therapy arc or some shit man.
Sidenote: It's really infuriating how other people can have their "villain arcs" but once Tommy says discs everyone just points a gun at him. I am so tired.
Anywayz, c!Tommy is a traumatized kid. c!Techno is justified but honestly overkilled it (but hey that's Techno for ya). c!Phil is still a shit father. c!Tubbo should be checked on. I want to punch c!Quackity in the face (also c!HBomb but that's another long talk and I aksksjsjk, whatdoesthedoghavetodowithanything *silently screams*). I don't trust any adult on this server other than c!Sam, c!Ponk, and c!Connor (it feels weird to say c!Connor but we gotta get crumbs of his lore). We should talk about how c!Captain Puffy is one of the main culprits that started all of this mess. And, it's all c!George and c!Dream's fault. Amen.

Serious question, who has the braincell in the Dream SMP?
Better yet, how many brain cells does each character have? Feel free to make a list or something

One thing that I want to say about yesterday's stream is that I want to believe that the phrase "You should have paid me more" from Punz has a deeper meaning than what it seems.
Yes we all now that Punz is a mercenary and only does things for the money but think about it:
the majority of people that showed up to the rescue had an alliance with Dream at some point, or didn't mess too much in his business or weren't specifically enemies with him (except Quackity), so they shouldn't have had any big motive to stand against him,
But they were also mistreated. They were used, or Dream blew up their home, or were only seen as a tool.
So I'd like to believe that when Punz said that, not only it meant that for them to not intervene he should have treated them better, but also that if Dream was going kill Tommy and Tubbo, probably the only persons in the entire server that had the guts to challenge Dream since the beginning, only so he could stay in power and keep treating the rest like he had?
They could tolerate a lot of things, but this when he crossed the line because they also had enough.
