TOUR THROWBACK - PART 2 - LEIPZIG, ATARI

With the Berlin show through and the tour officially started everyone was pretty excited for the upcoming week. After one last night in our own beds we met and set sails to go to Leipzig. With our friends Maxe and Bo joining forces the vibes in the van were good and the drive to Leipzig went by really quick as everyone was constantly laughing and joking and fooling around. the Atari is a awesome venue. we have played a lot of shows in that tiny basement that hosts the concerts and spent a few drunken nights in the bar above it. So it kinda was like a homecoming for us.  

we shared the bill with Quallus that night. really slow and punishing sludge. reminded me of noothgrush from time to time. the show was sold out pretty fast and when we went on (or as we went down as there is no stage to go on) the basement was pretty packed. people went nuts and I ended up with bashing my head into someone else’s head a few times. as it went crazier with every song Robert started to use me as a human shield to fight off the front row audience as they made it nearly impossible for him to play the guitar. good times and good memory's. that show like the Berlin show was a amazing start for our small trip. afterwards we stayed together for some drinks and doobies and watched the evening fade before we split up and went to our sleeping places.

POV you asked my illithid characters for homework help for some reason

(ID: a series of drawings with the heading “can I copy your homework?” The first drawing is of Quallus, a mind flayer with big round glasses, smiling and holding out some papers as he says “I did such a good job, I’d be insulted if you didn’t!” The next is Cylox, a mind flayer with a missing eye and tentacle, holding some papers and saying “Sure, why not. Can’t promise it’s correct, though…” The third is Drex, a mind flayer with a facial scar and tiny spectacles perched on their forehead, happily saying “I’ll gladly help you with it!” The fourth is Yllarah, a mind flayer with six tentacles and a large, wide collar. She scoffs and says “If you can’t do the homework yourself, you don’t deserve to be here.” An arrow points to her with the words “got all the questions wrong”. The fifth is Kimah, a mind flayer with horns and a tail, anxiously shouting “Wait. We had homework?!” The last one is Tellik, a small mind flayer with speckles and two especially long tentacles, saying “Bold of you to assume I did the homework.” End ID.)

I was worried that all my different illithid characters were getting a little confusing for people, so here’s a comparison/reference post to hopefully make it less confusing. I hope they don’t just all look like the same squid in slightly different outfits

Cylox and Yllarah are both from The Gauntlet, my main DnD story, but Quallus and Drex are each from their own separate story. Quallus is one of the main villains in his story, alongside a lich, and Drex is just a very lonely mind flayer whose colony got destroyed.

i love the evil dads!! i’m sorry i never post about them, i should more often. the song that kind of inspired their whole story was Planetary (Go!) by MCR, it just feels like a song about morally questionable misfits taking on the world together. they know they don’t fit in anywhere else, but they fit perfectly with each other.
