What are each of your ocs favorite hollidays?

Hestia: Halloween, mainly due to my hc that Halloween is the one night where souls in the Heaviside Layer can come to visit those who are still living, so it's the one night a year when Hestia can have her entire family together around her!

Quasi: i feel like for some reason he'd be really in to New Year's Eve. Probably because he gets to loiter around Esmeralda's restaurant and get all the scratches from the nice patrons, but also because he just loves fireworks so much.

Miela: She absolutely ADORES Easter, mainly because of all the flowers and the egg hunts her humans do around that time. it's when all her bees are buzzing happily, all her pretty flowers are in bloom, and it's just the best time of year.

Jitterbug: Boxing Day, because it's still the holidays, but it's not as loud and excitable as Christmas Day, so Jitter can still have fun, but she's not getting overwhelmed by everything!

Quasi and Malarkey Rp

A simple errand, why was he sent to do a simple errand of all things. Sure, the Jellicles were always about and collecting food was always necessary but surely two lesser henchcats could have tackled the job. So there he was, Macavity’s right-hand and prodigy, flanked by two henchcats…stealing from their usual butcher’s.

The two henchcats walked behind, talking amongst themselves about one thing or the other, joking around- the idiots, while Malarkey walked in front; red static energy crackling around him as continued to wonder what the point of him joining was. What exactly was he father’s plan?

As the three approached the run-down butcher’s, the small tom, now with an idea, insisted that he keep watch while the other two completed the errand, and after some taunting and eyerolling, the other two entered. With that, the young cat ran off into the night. He had far better things to do other than look for food, he would simply scout the area for any Jellicles and return once he heard the henchcats on their way back. He was sure his father would be proud if he came back with the news he’d taken down a Jellicle without any help.

Clementine the Poet’s Cat

A curious, young ginger and white tabby belonging to a book shop owner. When she’s not walking along the tops of the shelves in an attempt to be tall ,or sleeping in the window; she’s hidden away, writing (bad) poetry with stolen office supplies. Accompanying her neighbour’s cat, Jennyanydots whenever she visits the jellicles, Clementine is usually seen hanging around the older cats who coddle her like Jennyanydots’ adopted grandchild, or being rambunctious with her closest friends Etcetera and Electra.

Antoinette the Designer Cat

A glossy, arrogant ragdoll cat who was thrown onto the street after being owned by a famous fashion designer who got bored of him. He now works for Macavity as a henchcat, getting into high society and acting as a sort of diplomat. He was declawed as a kitten so he’s unable to fight but this elegant tom will find other (and far more effective) ways to hurt you. After a chance encounter and a blooming romance with an ex-henchcat called Quasi, Antoinette is having second thoughts about siding with Macavity.

Hermes the Messenger Cat

A tall, lanky, black and grey tom and son of Serafina the Tragic Queen and Macavity. Raised by an old post man’s cat with no memory of his family, he’s a charming, cheeky cat with no particular attachment to any one group who bounces from the tribe, to high society, to henchcats; sending messages, gifts and occasionally gossip. Unaware that he holds dangerous magic like his father, Hermes is happy to be unattached and making his own way. Though he is beginning to believe he’s being haunted, often seeing the figures of a group of cats out of the corner of his eye when alone.

Malarkey the Henchcat

A hot-headed, snarky and short-tempered tom with black, white and red fur. He was raised by Macavity to be his right-hand man and eventual leader of his Henchcats. He’s the little brother of Plato but is unaware of it as Macavity took him after hearing of his magical abilities and has been lying to him that he’s his father in order to keep him as loyal as possible. Malarkey would do anything and everything to get the approval of his “father” and than includes hating the Jellicles with every fibre of his little being, even if he doesn’t 100% know why the Jellicles are so bad.

Munkustrap: I didn't understand why people care so much about their adopted traumatized kittens… until I adopted three traumatized kittens myself.

Demeter: We’ve only had Quasi, Jitterbug, and Quill for a day and a half, but if anything happened to them, we would kill everyone in this room and then ourselves.

i have a little something in the works abt them but... Quasi and Demeter's relationship is actually SO special to me, they're so protective over each other, they're so mother and son, they have such a special bond with each other.

Quasi actually LOVES to be in the kitchen with Esmeralda!! I don't talk about his relationship with her NEARLY enough, but he loves his girl so much and loves just sitting on the counter while she's taste-testing new recipes!

post-Macavity, Quasi also really starts enjoying learning how to be a Protector. It gives him bonding time with Munkustrap (which i could write SO much more about the two of them ngl), and he loves learning how to protect the cats he loves.

he's a very light sleeper. it takes a lot for him to be able to fall completely dead asleep, but the first night he's at the Junkyard, tucked up against Demeter's side with his sisters, Bombalurina, Mungojerrie, and Rumpleteazer surrounding him, it's the best sleep Quasi's ever gotten in his life.

he collects ribbons <3 he keeps them in a box beneath his little bed in his den, just saving every pretty ribbon he finds until the day he can give them to Antoinette.

he also collects keys!! Don't ask him why, he loves all different sizes and shapes of keys, and keeps them in a separate box. It's one of the way Munkustrap formed a bond with him, bringing him different keys that he found!

omg the first time Quasi lets Munkustrap sit on his blind side 😭😭 Quasi HATES having cats in his blind spot, he really only trusts his sisters and Demeter to sit in that spot, so when he moved to sit beside Munkustrap, Munk realized he was in Quasi's blind spot and made to move to his other side, but Quasi just leaned into him and said it was fine. Munkustrap definitely shed a few tears later that evening with Demeter.

I do hc that Quasi gets a good confrontation with Macavity, during an attack on the Junkyard, but he's got his mother, his sisters, his closest friends, his new family all around him

(also i sort of love the idea of Quasi being so angry with Macavity, but Macavity pulling a "i don't even know who you are" line, and Quasi just goes feral on him)

my main four ocs are SO special to me, i love them a lot okay????

me when i first created the rest of the main four: "yeah i'm not going to connect them to hestia at all, they won't even know her"

me now: "yeah so hestia gets to be cousins with quasi and jitterbug, and in the human au, miela is dating hestia's brother, but in regular canon, miela is with hestia's boyfriend's brother"

Quasi bit back a scream of pain as the butcher's knife hit the wall behind him, slicing straight through his tail.

All of a sudden, he felt completely unbalanced, and he staggered, maintaining a stronger grip on the stolen food as he tried to run as quickly as he could back to Macavity's headquarters.

The pain was nearly unbearable, and he felt more ungraceful than he ever had before, stumbling over his paws and listing side to side.

He stumbled into the main room of Macavity's hide out, dropping his stolen spoils before the Mystery cat, and bowing his head, breathing deeply to hold back his pained sobs.

"What happened?" Macavity's tone was conversational, not at all concerned about his henchcat's well-being.

Quasi kept his eyes trained on the floor in front of him. "I got everything from the butcher, but he caught me as I was leaving. His knife got my tail."

The silence that answered him was more terrifying than the butcher's presence.

Macavity finally let out a heavy sigh, as though Quasi's injury was nothing more than a nuisance to him. "Fang."

"Yes, Boss?"

If possible, Quasi tensed even more at the sound of Macavity's right-hand cat. Nothing good ever came from Macavity calling for Fang.

"Give little Slip some bandages. It's the least he deserves after completing his mission." Quasi couldn't resist a glance up towards Macavity, eyes going wide at the Mystery Cat's words. Macavity gave him a sharp grin, leaning forward. "But if you ever get caught again, you'd better hope that human kills you. Because if he doesn't... I will."

A few dirty, ripped pieces of fabric were flung at Quasi, and he quickly picked them up, turning and getting out of the main room as quickly as he could. As soon as he was out of sight, he collapsed against the wall, letting out a gasp of pain.

"Oh, sweetie."

The soft, quiet voice of one of the only cats Quasi trusted nearly made him cry, and he opened his eyes to find Bombalurina standing in front of him, sadness on her face.

The red queen said nothing more, simply pressed herself into the younger tom's side to help support him, and she walked him towards the room she shared with her sister.

As soon as the door behind them closed, Demeter was rushing to his side, taking the fabric from him.

"It might hurt a bit, love." the gold queen whispered, pressing a maternal kiss to his forehead. "Just listen to Rina, okay? Let her distract you."

Quasi nodded, and Bombalurina began to talk quietly to him, about little things, like the bird she saw in the morning, a trick Mungojerrie and Rumpleteazer pulled on Fang.

Through it all, she was gently grooming Quasi's fur, and Demeter was humming soothingly as she wrapped the stump that used to be Quasi's tail.

There was a sharp pain as she tightened the fabric, and Quasi's whimpers were soothed as Bombalurina tugged him closer, tucking him into her side.

Bandaging finished, Demeter placed herself on Quasi's other side, resting her chin on top of his head.

Even as what was left of his tail stung with pain, the young tom paid it no mind. Surrounded by warmth, Quasi closed his eyes as he leaned into Demeter, nuzzling against her fur, and allowing himself to be engulfed by his exhaustion, sleep taking him as he listened to the two sisters whispering quietly to each other.

He was safe.

i mean, i feel like it's a given that Munkustrap gives the best advice! Though i will say that Tugger is also a very good person to go to for advice, he knows exactly what to say, and how to reassure anyone who needs to talk.

idk, i feel like Alonzo doesn't give the greatest advice? Mainly because all of his big life events happened by the motto "fuck around and find out". so he's not the worst advice giver, he just doesn't know what to say lmao

Amunet and Asparagus give AMAZING advice, it's part of the reason Amunet's basically an unofficial mother to the entire tribe, and Asparagus gives his advice in very silly ways that cheer up everyone and make them laugh

for my OCs:

Garbo is a 10/10 advice-giver (Rag def got it from her and now i'm CRYING)

Isis would find out somebody wants advice from her and say something like "I pined after my sisters ex-boyfriend for years because i thought he didn't love me i am literally the WORST for advice"

I feel like Quasi and Miela are the best out of my main four OCs to go to for advice, Miela would be super calm and sweet about it, and Quasi would be reassuring, but also just be blunt, which is exactly what the advice seeker would need.

oh Serafina... she would be so good at giving advice. i think she'd end up being similar to Amunet, just being so kind and caring, but also being a little bit stern and focused 😭
