My Q56 Malachite Skin as a drawn ref. I have a diffrent outfit for each team I'll maybe eventually draw.

Some notes/details

- They're a Minecraft Phantom.

- They have permanent scarring in the area where their wings should be.

- I forgot to draw it but 100% has a slash scar on their back from when Kairos killed them during the finale challenge. It's straight in-between their wing slits

- the places where their skin is gray is completely transparent

- had smaller scars from fighting enderman during the dragon fight

- fuck the cold and danger snow actually living in the snow was a terrible idea never again

I have wings again well an elytra but close enough. Its weird having something that now feels wrong. They don't look like my wings. They fit with the look I got when I joined queue though so I guess if the shoe fits wear it

I’ve been given the chance to join the next Queue56 cycle and in honor of that, I would like to show my character who I’ve been working on for weeks.

This is Altair, They/Any pronouns! They’re into architecture and writing, as well as a bit of art.

[The sound of fabric shifting fills the silence, followed by a quiet mumble.]

"Here goes nothing."

[A brief pause lingers. The mic picks up a faint rustling before a slightly shaky voice begins to speak.]

"Hi? Uh, I guess I should do this too. Especially since Lux already did, so… I guess it’s my turn now."

[Another rustling sound—like someone shifting nearby. A short silence follows. Then, a faint tapping—fingers drumming lightly against something—breaks the stillness before the voice returns, a little more hesitant.]

"So… I’m Zei. I, um—" [A pause. A sharp inhale.] "I use…" [Another pause, the words catching in their throat.] "Any… pronouns, I guess."

[A soft exhale. A nervous laugh slips out.]

"It’s just… easier that way."

[There’s a quiet rustle of fabric, someone stirring close by. A creak, followed by a dull thud—then the soft shuffling of clothes as another person moves near, wrapping them in a wordless hug.]

"And, um… I’m a fae-dragon hybrid." [A small chuckle, though it doesn’t quite reach their voice.] "Not that it matters, but… yeah."

[The tapping slows, then stops. The other person stays quiet, but the subtle shift of their weight makes it clear they’re listening.]

"I’m on Team Malachite this time. Same team as Bobby…" [Their voice trails off, uncertainty creeping in.]

[A beat of silence. Then, a soft yet raspy voice, still heavy with sleep, mumbles beside them.]

"That’s good, right?"

[Zei exhales, rubbing their thumb against the hem of their sleeve.]

"I don’t know yet."

[The other person doesn’t press, just shifts slightly—a quiet nod. The silence lingers before Zei sighs.]

"Guess that’s it."

[A faint click as they fumble with the recorder, about to stop it. But before they can, there’s another sleepy shift, followed by a drowsy whisper.]

"Zei… stop movin’ and go to sleep."

[A soft huff of laughter.]

"Yeah, yeah… Night."

[A barely coherent mumble follows, thick with sleep.]

"G’night..."

[The recording ends with a soft click]

"Hello? Is this recording...?"

A calm yet slightly confused voice comes through, tinged with curiosity, as if the speaker is intrigued by something unseen.

"Yeah! I can see the sound waves—so yeah, I’m recording!"

There’s a brief pause. A few seconds of uncomfortable silence settle in, as if the speaker is unsure of what to say next.

"Well, uhh… my name is Solux, and in this cycle, I’m a Malachite! I’ve actually had this application on my comm since last cycle, but I never really had time to use it… because of… things that happened."

Their voice trails off, and another silence follows—this one heavier, the atmosphere growing tense.

"But I’m not here to talk about that! I’m here to introduce myself and maybe even make some friends—especially with people who live far from the main island!"

Their tone shifts, brightening with excitement. It’s clear they’re genuinely eager about the topic.

"Like I was saying, I’m Solux, but you can call me Lux! I’m a Malachite, and right now, I live on an island with my best friend, Zei! ( @dragon-without-wings-and-claws ) I’m also learning English—it’s not my first language, so I don’t really talk much..."

Now that they’ve mentioned it, you take note of their voice—soft yet deliberate, carrying an almost airy quality. There's a quiet rasp to it, and their words flow with an unusual rhythm, made even more distinct by their thick accent.

"I use It/They pronouns, and… I’m a wax puppet! How? You might ask—but honestly… I don’t really know either."

There’s a shift again. This time, their voice carries a hint of sadness, a quiet sort of confusion. The silence that follows feels contemplative.

[In the background, a voice calls out—smooth but slightly tired, carrying a warm, easygoing tone. It belongs to a higher-voiced male, his words unhurried yet expectant.]

"Lux? Can you give me a hand with this?"

"Oh—yeah, one sec!" Solux responds before returning to the recording, their tone still light.

"Anyway! Thanks for listening to this! If you wanna be friends, feel free to message me! Oh—also, Zei and I run the Axo Adoption Center, so if you’re interested in that, you can reach out too! Alright, coming!"

[The recording ends with a soft click, the faintest rustling heard just before it cuts off.]

This small silly detail that may not be important, but it's important to me!!!

In minecraft, I tend to have a book on me that I jot things down in (Coords, people's names, to-do lists etc)

Sometimes I end up making it so my lil blorbo cannonicly has a book too and I just made a texture pack for my Q56s book so here are my book thoughts for my MC OCs (+ pictures!)

Kylens' Field Notes

Kylens a scientist, so his notes are somewhat organised. If it's a note he needs to go back to, they'll put a little tab on it, or highlight some key points.

It's got a few scratches and bumps on it, and I imagine it's more of a hard cover to help it not get as easily ruined.

Half the notes are organised dot points of theories, things they see, equations and the other half is scribbled notes taken quickly, either due to time or or just tyring to get thoughts onto paper

Satyns Scrap Notes

Satyn has covered this book in stickers, drawings, stuck on pins, the works.

They keep invites, random pamphlets/papers they find, press flowers. They write notes of Coords, things they need to do/get, notes on people, base areas, little doodles, it has it all, and sometimes (if theyre nice) they'll let others scribble/draw in it.

Satyn has stuffed this thing with so many things, it's very thick. The leather rope that wraps around it is basically key to keeping this thing together (which I forgot to add lol)

Yavais Book of Direction

Yavais book is very aesthetic neat. Mainly coords written down, but also small notes and to do lists. On the first page they have a key done up of English alphabet to Ender, to help them translate things along the way (though they are getting good with it)

All their notes (unless copying from English) are written in ender. Some of these notes are small journal entries, to help with things that happen (both good and bad) some go longer than others, from quick dot points to pages of a recollection of the day. And on a page or two, you'll find a little drawing of something nice they've seen.

(the BoD also has a little clasp lock around it to stop it from opening accidentally, but I forgot to add that detail lol

Something cool about Altair is that their hair glows in the dark a little bit (even though that can’t really be depicted in game-) and their tears are blinding white! There is a reason for that (*cough* lore *cough*) but you’ll just have to figure that out :D

Little bonus because I love Altair so much - Their color scheme is based off a European Starling!

Wait what... how long was I asleep for...

That was weird, I think I dozed off in the mines back when the cycle began. It's been weeks! I've never slept for that long, even in the void...

(at least not that I can remember)

I should really go make a house but there's so much going on at spawn I got distracted. I can't tell if I like the end stone, I've heard of corruption but it definitely adds a certain something to the place...

I think I'll sit in this amethyst cave and wait out the rain. I'm almost scared of falling asleep again, I still can't believe I lost that much time.
