Since I'm still in a full nostalgic mood with the anniversary haha

My first ever introduction to Sims (minus sim city which I think was on school computers or something back in elementary) was when my older cousin was staying in our basement while she was going to college. I was in middle school... so prolly about 11/12, and was absolutely transfixed watching her play.

I can't remember if she ever let me mess around in her game, but I think she must have, and eventually my parents found out about it and got it for me too. I got quite a few of the expansions up through Makin Magic (the one and only, truly best of the best) and was so invested before we upgraded the family computer and I lost all my files 😩 But it just so happened there was a brand new game coming out...
