WENT ON A RANDOM RESEARCH DIVE AT 4AM LET'S GOOOO

Australian dance project Puretone, most known for their 1998 single Addicted to Bass, released an album in 2020 called Rue The Day (featuring one "QuickBrownFox" on every song.) I listened to it when it came out and had a few tracks on rotation up to this point, but Puretone came out with a new EP this week and it jogged my memory to revisit this, and....guys, Rue The Day is really good? Every track was an automatic thumbs-up from me, but I was having a particular moment with Bitch In The Mercedes yesterday:

But who's QuickBrownFox? A quick look at the credits lists Josh Abrahams (Puretone) and Cheyne Coates, the former frontwoman of Madison Avenue, as the songwriters:

And, yeah, that's absolutely her, though this information is nowhere to be found online because this album just appeared out of the aether and only had brief radio play in Australia when it came to promo. This album isn't even on Josh Abraham's Wikipedia article, so we know he isn't fluffing up his own page, at least.

Week 5 - Part 1 - In this class we were tasked with writing a pangram which is a sentence using every letter in the chosen alphabet (in this case english). We had to go outside into the sun and write a pangram using water. This was hard due to the sun drying up the water before we had finished. The interesting thing was that we had unlimited resources yet limited time which was and interesting realisation.

Quick Brown Foxes has a new cycling podcast series for your ears! Ayesha McGowan asks women of color how they got into bikes. The Quick Brown Foxes project will follow the format of a biweekly podcast, followed by a more in-depth article the following week to answer some of the questions created by the podcast.
