is it bad i thought way too hard about your valentine's episode poll 🙃

on the one hand, i think the best episode is Silly Love Songs, but with Quinntana being my OTP, I feel guilty for not picking I Do...I don't have a problem with Heart but I feel like it does so much to set us up for the juggernaut that's On My Way that it's too chaotic

And I will now overanalyze Tested being a valentine's episode probably until valentine's day next year 🙃

Nah - it's a hard choice! I think Glee did relatively well with it's V-D related episodes. It's the one time they had all of these converging plot lines and managed to utilize and satisfy all the on going threads pretty well.

Tested, I realize is my own personal headcanon as a V-D episode, but it's one of my all time favorites, so I had to squeak it in there. :)

But, yeah, Silly Love Songs is probably the best written? It's a hard choice, though, for sure. :)

I do consider Faberry queerbaiting: Ryan Murphy knew that at the time glee aired there were many people who shipped faberry (in a poll on twitter faberry won first place of best ship, beating both klaine and brittana, who were actually canon). Faberry was a massive fanbase and costitued a consistent part of the audience. At the time, around 2011-2013, it was one of the most popular wlw ships. So what did Ryan Murphy do ? First of all what irked me the most is the fact that he often used deleted faberry scenes to promote glee. In promos and commercials there were faberry scenes like this one: (i always thought this was a manip and only recently discovered is an actual scene lol)

He used faberry to promote his show, but at the same time he deleted a huge amount of faberry interactions. He did this so often that the cast members joked about it, everytime lea and dianna did a faberry scene lea said "well we know this is gonna get cut" or something like that (this is what Lea and Brad Falchunk said during an interview:

Lea: Every time we do a Rachel and Quinn scene, we do this scene, and we’re like, “This is going to get cut.”

Brad: It’s cut. We cut it every time. It’s the same dialog. It’s great dialog!

Lea: We’ve had like ten scenes together that have gotten cut.

Brad: Yeah, that’s always the one to get cut.)

One time ryan used the faberry bridesmaid's scene to promote glee's next episode and i remember the promo said "everything is about to change" with quinn begging rachel not to marry finn. He made it seem like something big regarding faberry was gonna happen and when people watched the episode the scene wasn't present. How is this not queerbaiting?

I think i'm gonna get hate if i say this (especially by quinntana stans lol, pls don't hate me i like quinntana), but ... am i the only one who feels like the quinn x santana hook up was a way to make faberry stans shut up ?

I'm gonna explain myself better: even though there have been tons of hints about quinn's fluid sexuality and attraction to girls, i thought that the quinntana hook up was incredibily random. Yeah Quinn checked santana out a couple of times during high school and yeah Quinn is definetly physically attracted to Santana, but everyone who watched glee at the time never would have guessed that they would have ended up having sex with each other. I felt like the hook up was a sop to faberry stans shut up and stop ranting about faberry. Ryan Murphy was like "here's quinn having sex with a woman, are you happy now ?".

Also the fact that he basically completely erased Quinn's existence after that episode doesn't sit right with me. At the end of season 3 Quinn was supposed to be one of Rachel's closest friends, so close that they even promised to visit each other in college. And New Heaven is not very far from New York apparentely because i remember that in s5 Santana said "... the fact that Quinn is just an hour away and i never think about calling her ..."

Oh that's tricky haha. Those two have a weird overlap. I guess I'd do this:

AU- Quinn's in an arranged marriage with that Biff guy. It's a political play, she's running for Senator and needs a beard. Biff's not terrible to her and it's helping her poll numbers so Quinn's happy... enough.

Santana's the ex. Whirlwind college romance. It also happens that she's now the wife of Quinn's biggest opponent - Dave Karofsky (they're the modern day Roosevelts). More importantly, she's Dave's campaign manager, and the definite brains behind the operation.

Santana runs a fierce campaign, but so does Quinn. Every time one wins a political battle, the other starts a new war. Things get particularly heated between them after a debate one evening, and cheating ensues thereafter (except it isn't really, because both of their marriages are a sham and they know it). They wake the next morning with no regrets, but agree to continue publicly fighting as normal to keep up appearances.

The election nears and, politically, things start to get nasty. Privately, neither one will admit they might be falling for each other again. I mean, how pathetic would that be? Of course, the one thing neither of them will do, no matter how much it might boost their campaign, is out each other.

Some things are off limits.

That is, until the press catch wind of their affair and blast it all over the 7 o'clock news. After that, all bets are off.
