I Ran a Marathon!

What a day! What a vibe! It was so much better than I expected.

The race started with fireworks, and had lots of Christmas lights along the way.

Many beautiful views like this one, once the sun came up.

Here are my stats for those who are interested:

The final 0.2 was quicker than my watch says…I forgot to stop it at the finish line lol. 🤦🏼‍♀️ Miles 4 and 16 were portaloo stops. (The lines! 😳) Official race time was 6:27

What a weekend for the scuderia boys ❤️

If you don’t know anything about f1 and motorsport don’t approach people trying to make them feel guilty for watching it because of CO2 emission caused by the cars racing.

It shows that you don’t know shit about this sport and it make me angry af.

seeing jules' helmet in a ferrari car this weekend has been brutal so far. i hope charles will have a good race today, not because he owes it to his friend, but because he wants to make him proud. fingers crossed, mon cœur 🖤🏁

Half Marathon Complete!

It did not go to plan, but I ran over 13 today and my knee is still in one piece. So that’s a win!

A Goal: beat my previous time from 2018 ❌

B Goal: run the whole race/only walk for water and gels ❌

C Goal: enjoy the day and celebrate what your body can do ✅

I felt good until mile 8. Then I got a stitch after a water station, and it was walk/run intervals from there on out. 😒

Lessons learned: the training I was able to fit into a smaller block prepared me well for the first 8-10 miles; need to practice drinking during long runs- not just taking gels; more hip mobility drills

interesting how gp and christian both call charles by his first name sometimes on the radio. esp because after daniel left rbr max made a point of telling daniel that they still call him by his first name, which sets a precedent that meaning there’s some sort of affection behind that. definitely something to keep note of 🫢

oooh… that daniel tidbit is interesting indeed… it does seem like rbr has historically said charles a few times, but recently it’s increased. and like for a while it seemed like it was just christian, but now gp too? sure he switched back to leclerc but that first instinct was charles…

seated for when max is calling him charlie on the radio congratulating each other as teammates next season thank u
