Woman. Life. Freedom. Today’s 30-minute Biodynamic Meditation was about radiance at my face that just grew stronger and coincided with a cranial stillpoint involving my entire head, and then a slow, slow swirliness of the self-healing process along my central channel. Whew. The New Year energy is strong! I don’t make resolutions, but I work on improving my habits. This year I’m focusing on how I start and end each day to optimize my energy, discovering my art of gearing up and winding down. Sending you blessings for 2023. #biodynamicmeditation #craniosacralbiodynamics #craniosacraltherapy #tide #stillpoint #cranial #radianceattheface #swirliness #selfhealing #centralchannel #womanlifefreedom #newyearenergy #habits #discovery #blessings (at Austin, Texas) https://www.instagram.com/p/Cm6vg2eublj/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Oh, the swirliness of the inherent healing process! I don’t sense it every day. Some days are mostly tide. Some, mostly stillpoints. Today, in spite of fierce Monkey Mind activity in the first part of my 30-minute sit, toward the end I sensed the healing energy making broad sweeps and swirls through my body. As I said before, it’s like sitting on the bottom of the ocean with currents moving around and through me. Some days are like that. Also, I did some MELT, physical therapy exercises, a slow sun salutation, and bouncing on my rebounder before I sat. Gonna do it again tomorrow and see what happens — see if I can find my most favored way to start my day. #biodynamicmeditation #craniosacralbiodynamics #craniosacraltherapy #meditation #swirliness #inherenthealingprocess #tide #stillpoint #sittingpractice #exercise #melt #yoga #breathwork #radianceattheface (at Austin, Texas) https://www.instagram.com/p/Cmy-b-lOzG8/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Yesterday I wrote about feeling radiance at my face during my Biodynamic Meditation. I shared that in Craniosacral Biodynamics (in which Biodynamic Meditation is rooted), we recognize an energy that comes from far away, over the horizon and possibly from outside the earth’s field. I’m repeating that image today. The sensations that we sense in our physical body are local — activities of our nervous systems. We also have an energy body that includes our physical body and extends away from it — anywhere from a few inches out to quite a distance out. The chakras and the meridians are structures in the body that have some basis in the physical body — in endocrine glands, curves in the spine, fascia. I consider these sensations of chakras and meridians to be local, to be both physical and energetic. The energy I wrote of yesterday, the radiance I feel at my face, comes from far away, from over the horizon and possibly from much farther. It’s definitely not local energy. When you practice Biodynamic Meditation, try widening your awareness from your physical body to a few inches out. Notice what you notice. Keep widening your awareness to an arm’s width out. Stay there and notice what you notice. You can gradually widen awareness to include the room you are in, and beyond. Notice what phenomena you perceive when you widen. I’d love to hear about it. #biodynamicmeditation #craniosacralbiodynamics #craniosacraltherapy #physicalbody #energybody #awareness #radianceattheface #localenergy #distantenergy #longtide #midline #widenyourawareness (at Austin, Texas) https://www.instagram.com/p/CmjxW8gpaYA/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Radiance at my face is what this morning’s Biodynamic Meditation was about. When I first started sensing it years ago, it was as a band across the middle of my face, under my eyes. It’s expanded to where now it covers my whole face and ears. It came to encompass my crown, third eye, and throat chakras today. However, it is not chakra energy, which is local. This sensation of energy is called the Long Tide, or the Air Tide, in Craniosacral Biodynamics, and some people sense it differently. I’ve sensed it in my forearms and hands before. Some sense the energy as moving toward and away from their midline, moving 55 seconds in each direction. I’ve sensed that too but my mind typically doesn’t want to get that analytical. I’m interested in sensing it with more of my system, and that is happening. There seems to be a consensus among teachers and practitioners that it comes from “far away”. Some sense it as coming from over the horizon. One person I know believes it’s the human energy field resonating with cosmic waves through the earth’s filter. While I was sensing radiance, I also sensed the tide moving up and down my midline, and my middle — heart and solar plexus — chakras open. In a way, Biodynamic Meditation is all about simply sensing yourself without a story. It’s your own living nature.
