Time to share my piece for @raedafanzine ^^ I did a comic about Eda carving Raine’s palisman and the way it lives on in their rebellion 🎻🎼

+ some extra stuff below!

Page 2 and 3 were conceptualized as a two pager, later in the zine itself the team chose the split pages version which upon seeing I actually really liked because of the dramatic page turn fits so much more. Here’s how the pages looked when they were connected!

And these are the final sketches, I’m sure I have the initial thumbnails somewhere, not sure where they went tho 😓

And lastly, before the finale came out and revealed how Raine’s palisman looks like when it is not the violin I headcanon that it’s a bat (and I REALLY tried to work a violin case shape into the design) So a quick change needed to happen haha

Oh hey btw here are my full pieces for @raedafanzine! Originally I was going to do something completely different and the my brain went "do a sad thing about feeling like the person you love is on a pedestal out of your reach and do a stupid amount of detail and put Eda in like, an Utena inspired dress" and I went "bet." I think my favorite part is the art nouveau inspired frame, particularly the part with the potion bottles.

If you want these, there's still some leftover stock being sold and you should check it out! I might sell the full illustration as a metallic print? Might be cool, idk, let me know if that's something you guys are interested in!

Extremely exited to finally be able to share these with all of you!✨

As The Owl House was coming to a close, I had the incredible honor of joining the @raedafanzine team and contribute 2 illustrations to their amazing Raeda art book!🦉🎻

This show and these characters mean soooo much to me, I don’t think I’ve EVER been that exited to hop on a project! Everyone I got to work with was absolutely amazing and just incredibly talented!

It made me so so happy and I couldn’t be more proud of the final product!❤️

So HUGE thanks to our AMAZING mod team for bringing all of us together!

To Avi Roque, the voice of Raine for taking part in this project and being so sweet in all their interactions with the fans!

And to all of you amazing friends who helped us make this zine a reality!

I have nothing but fond memories from The Owl House fandom and this fanzine project is now the sweetest cherry on top!🍒
