I’m tanning on the beach minding my business, out of nowhere a guy came over & tried to get in some small talk with me 🤦🏽‍♀️ I rejected him fucking 5 TIMES !!! Like don’t you realize you’re not wanted ? I feel so so uncomfortable cause I know he’s hiding watching me & doing god knows what. I will leave right now 😤

I forgot what chapter of TD it was but when Rafe was about to attack Reader and out of instinct (if i remember correctly) she tried to mushed/pushed his head back to get him away and he mushed her head back TELL ME WHY i was so fucking shocked liked he haven’t been abusing her the entire story like i was deadass shocked like ‘i can’t believe he really did that’ i felt so stupid and i just had to tell you that AND WHAT MAKES IT WORST i believe he was about to r*** her so i feel really dumb now like of course he mushed her he done worse 🤦🏽‍♀️

I think that was chapter 3 or 4 when he found out she apologized to JJ on his behalf 😭 idk why this is sending me so bad but yeah he be fighting that girl fr like she's a DUDE

Another saturday night, another kegger at the Boneyard which meant you were able to see JJ. You’d purposely stand under a specific palm tree just to get a good view of the blonde pogue. The bad thing about it all was that having a pogue crush had it’s consequences when your best friend was the kook king. You were sipping from your red cup while tapping your foot to the beat of the music. Kelce and Topper were literally eye fucking a group of girls and Rafe was walking back from his beer refill. You were leaning against the palm tree staring at JJ while he talked to Kie. He started laughing at something she said which made you smile, his smile is pretty contagious. He started looking around the beach and caught you staring, when you realized you were caught you quickly looked at the floor and placed a piece of hair behind your ear.

“Hey, what’s wrong with your shoe?” Rafe asked looking at you with a confused expression.

“Umm.. n-nothing, i was ummm... i was just looking.. at the grass... how green it is.” you stuttered and smiled at Rafe taking a sip from your beer. He chuckled and muttered an okay moving to stand next to you and starts bobbing his head to the beat of the music. You looked up again but this time you caught JJ staring. Your cheeks turned into a deep shade of pink and you smiled at him as he looked at you up and down. What you didn’t know, is that Rafe was looking you staring at JJ. Even though the kook has noticed for a while, Topper and Kelce decided to break the ice first.

“Who are you eye fucking Y/N?” Kelce laughed, shoving his elbow into your arm.

“No one.”

“Oh, no one.. so JJ Maybank is no one? of course he isn’t.” Topper chuckled, taking a sip from his beer while placing his forearm on the top of your head, do to the height difference.

“Shut up, okay?” you muttered with frown, moving away from Topper’s arm.

“Why do you like him so much anyway?” Kelce asked putting a hand on the palm tree to lean against it.

“Yeah, he’s not all that.” Topper laughed and gave Kelce a high five while Rafe’s jaw clenched more and more.

“You guys know i don’t mind hanging out with pogues. Y’all are the only ones with that stupid beef still going on.” you said rolling your eyes and then looking around the beach. Seeing people dancing, playing beer pong, some were in the water or just plain out smoking weed. They were probably imagining unicorns instead of people at that point.

“Y/N, stop looking at him!” Rafe shouted making you turn to him with wide eyes.

“I wasn’t looking at him.”

“Yes, you were. Literally right now.” he said running his hair through his hair. Topper and Kelce stayed quiet, watching the argument as it unwinds.

“So what if i was looking at him? Why are you so angry Rafe?” you said standing in front of him, looking up to see his angry eyes, now being a dark blue color.

“I don’t want you liking him, okay? I just don’t.” you looked at him in disbelief and scoffed making him more annoyed.

“He’s a piece of shit Y/N. I don’t want you anywhere near him.” he scolded pointing at your face while moving forward which made you take a couple steps back.

“You can’t tell me what to do Rafe! You’re not my father!” you shouted and turned around to walk away.

“Don’t you understand that i wanna protect you! You’re my best friend Y/N and i know those pogues won’t treat you right!” you stopped dead in tracks and turned around with tearful eyes.

“I’m going home..don’t follow me.” you whispered and continued your walk home, alone. You couldn’t believe that your best friend would react this way, it’s not like JJ had done something to him (keep in mind this is before pope sank topper’s boat).

Rafe has been your best friend since diapers, literally. Your dad and Ward were best friends since high school so basically it was obvious that their kids were going to be friends too. So when he came out with that weird attitude, you were stunned. He’s not entitled to tell you who you can or can’t look at but he is your best friend and best friends only want what’s best for you, right?

You were walking on the side of the street, tighting your grip on your purse. When you were two blocks away from home, headlights came from behind you as a car slowed down next to you. You continued walking, ignoring the person that was in the vehicle.

“Y/N.” the voice called making you stop dry, you looked sideways with wide eyes. It was JJ. The JJ Maybank was next you in the pogue’s van. He stared at you worriedly while your eyebrows were furrowed.

“JJ? wh- what are you doing here?” you stuttered our turning to him.

“I saw you walk out of the Boneyard by yourself, just....figured you needed help.” he whispered making your eyes go soft and smile.

“You were staring at me?” you smiled moving a piece of hair behind your ear. He chuckled and rubbed his chin.

“Do you want a ride or not?” he laughed while his cheeks turned an adorable shade of pink. You nodded and walked around the front of the van watching him lean over the seat to open the door. He got back in his seat while you got into the van and settled your purse on the floor.

“So why didn’t Rafe.. like drive you home?” JJ said looking at the street and back at you.

“Um.. we had an argument but... it’s fine i guess.” you said softly giving him a sad smile.

“What did you guys fight about?” you looked at him and bit your lip, getting nervous all of the sudden. He pulled into your driveway and put the van in park turning to look at you.

“We were uumm.... we were arguing about you.” you whispered looking at your shoes and then lifted your head to look at him.

“Me? wha-what about me?” he chuckled nervously furrowing his eyebrows.

“I can’t believe those beers are making me do this. Ummm... i’ve had a crush on you... for a while.” you whispered nervously and he sighed while running his hand through his hair.

“Well fuck... i- uuh... i like you too, for the longest time now.” he smiled making you look at him with wide.

“You do?”

“Yeah. I’ve been wanting to ask you out but i- i thought you had something with Rafe.” that made you laugh which made him confused.

“Rafe? he’s like my brother. I will never see him like that.” you smiled leaning back on your seat still staring at him. He leaned back on his seat too, looking at you too and smiling widely.

“You’re really beautiful.” JJ whispered making you blush.

“You’re beautiful too.” you whispered back moving the piece of hair that fell on your face.

“Can i kiss you?” you nodded yes and he leaned in connecting your lips in a soft peck. It felt like fireworks flying everywhere and you too were the only ones in the world. Your lips fit together like puzzle pieces and melted perfectly together like iced lemonade on a hot day. He placed his hand on your cheek and rubbed your cheekbone with his thumb softly, making you smile into the kiss.

Rafe was about to pull up into the drive when he saw you in the van with JJ, kissing him. His eyes turned watery and started hitting the steering wheel. ‘Why wasn’t i here sooner?’ he thought feeling the frustration of not being able to confess his feelings for you. He turned his car around and drove back home after sending you a quick text apologizing for the argument but you were a bit preoccupied to see it.
