So like- au first-

In TWA, there's 3 rainbow pickaxes: TSS, RQ, and Steve Labs here. Currently, I'm imagining RQ to be bedazzled with jewels and is very shiny and sturdy. TSS is probably (mostly) like that one drawing I posted, but a bit more...idk, element-based? Fire n water and all that.

And then there's this one. I imagine he has a fleshy texture. You can feel his heartbeat in the handle, his anxious breathing. Sure, the other two have faces, but this...is different. Tbh, this texture is just gory bc I didn't feel like adding the limbs directly. But I imagine he has at least 1 semi-functional hand, maybe both. That's why he can drag himself around as a dropped item.

I'm not quiteeee sure how I wanna design that part, like where his mouth, other eye, ears maybe, etc, go. I'd base it off of the configuration of his body in the crafting grid (head middle-left, torso center, legs middle-right), but that doesn't quite...work well?? Idk what to do with his legs.

Yeah and so. Eventually the main TWA gang find the Steve Lab, which is like. Immediately after the video ends, so Rainbow has just escaped and is trying to get away from the lab. And the group run into him nearby, which accidentally alerts Labs!Assistant/Sabre to Rainbow's location. The unexpected company ofc makes them curious, and while the gang try to convince Rainbow to trust them, the Labs duo come over and just barely see Rain before he hides behind the group's legs.

As for the mod idea- ahahaa it's uhhh interesting? There's three variants of the pickaxe, this one is the first. You can either a, find him just in a chest/out in the wild, b, craft him yourself, or c, steal it like. From another player or maybe the lab itself. Form 1 is just called the Rainbow Pickaxe, and its little like..tag thing? Says "you can feel his heartbeat. It's very fast.." When you first mine/hit something, the tag becomes "It appears to be bleeding. Its eye is pleading in silence."

If you find him, his relationship with you is more neutral, and if you craft him, it's already negative. The more you use him, the more he bleeds, and the worse it all just..is. Sometimes you can hear crying if he's in a chest, whether or not you use him. He's probably got decent enchantments and/or abilities, so you'd *like* to use him. If you drop him, he starts running away. If you manage to catch him, the tag becomes "Why couldn't you give me freedom?"

Form 2 happens if you gather the necessary materials to transform him back, it's also possible if you simply summon him and don't turn him into a pickaxe at all. It's probably, like, decently midgame, maybe redstone-infused diamonds, idk. But whatever it is, it takes effort to achieve. If you crafted him originally, he's gonna attack and run away. You won't get to have a good relationship for a long time, maybe never. If you found him, and especially if you didn't/barely used him, he'll have a good relationship with you. If you used him a lot, you'll have a more neutral relationship.

In this form, he becomes a Steve again. Since he's not exactly well-versed in ✨️life✨️, he doesn't have a good grip on his powers, if any. He has pickaxe-shaped horns and wings/tail. If you have a good enough relationship, which requires further development once you turn him back, he'll give/trade you the "pure pickaxe." This is the diamond pickaxe with his energy partially infused, and it provides many good things for you, such as being a dynamic light, weapon, and tool, all in one. It has the tag, "he trusts you to wield his vessel once again."

In the positive relationship, he can help ofc with mining, but he prefers aboveground resource gathering, despite being better at underground exploration. He can glow, as well as use said pure pickaxe before he gives it to you. If you've talked to him, either through the chat or thru paper/books, he'll slowly start speaking to you, starting with a "Thank you" when you turn him back.

In the negative relationship, he escapes and leaves you behind, actively avoiding you. He doesn't attack much - he's more like a frightened animal. Same with the neutral relationship. In the neutral one, you can gain his trust, it's just a bit harder since he's now a person. Providing him with resources can help.

The third form happens if you decide to kill him at this point: the "haunted rainbow pickaxe." Which can only be obtained if you go thru this whole process, and is on a similar power/utility level to the pure pickaxe. It's similar in mechanics to the first form, but more intense. Sometimes it will cry out in pain. The tag on this one ranges from "his heart beats no longer. Only cries of pain are left behind." to "my wails of betrayal haunt your mind. I trusted you. Why?" to "no turning back now." Mostly depending on how much you use him.

He can't be turned back. One key difference between pure and haunted is that this has no light, and has a special attack which sometimes damages you/gives you negative effects. The haunted texture is a more gruesome form of the og variant, while the pure texture basically just removes the gore. There's still an eye on it, though. Sometimes the haunted form will grow a mouth on its handle and bite you.

My nephew loves watching minecraft videos, but they have given him a very warped view of what the game is actually like. Everything he has experienced has been through the lense of those AI baby-distraction videos of minecraft steve doing tiktok dances or mixing slime with titles like MOST SATISFYING EVER, or those janky fanimations where looney tunes style hijinks ensue. When his mom finally downloaded the game onto her tablet for him to play, he was upset that he didn't begin with armor and tools. He thought it would be multiplayer and that the things that happen in his videos would happen for real ("the iron goblin giveded the king zombie a flower and he sniffed it and was so happy that he jumped a million miles into the air and maked a rainbow come out of him"). He didn't understand that he had to mine and craft, and he would point to every block and ask "is that iron?" No, that's stone. That's also stone. That's more stone. Ask me if you see something different; if the blocks look the same, then they're the same thing.

I really take for granted how many mechanics there are to learn, and how there are no tutorials teaching you how to do ANYTHING! I had to walk him through it step by excruciating step; how to get wood, how to craft planks and a crafting table and sticks and a pickaxe, how to get stone, how to upgrade to better tools, how to dig a staircase, how to lay torches, how to smelt iron ore, it's all so complex and he can't possibly memorize it all. It'll be a very long time before he gets the hang of it, and I just hope he isn't disappointed. I turned it on peaceful mode because he was afraid of the mobs that kept killing him, so he doesn't even know about hunger or combat. He wants to build an iron golem for protection, but he doesnt understand why, it's just a thing that they do in videos.

It's so weird seeing the game through his eyes. Minecraft came out when I was 11 or 12, I started watching minecraft youtubers when I was 15 or 16 and started playing for myself when I was 18 or 19, but my nephew is 5 and he's not watching actual players, he's watching people use the minecraft mobs as action figures to go on make believe adventures. He's using the pocket edition on his mom's tablet, so I can't play with him, I have to either do things for him or be a backseat gamer and give him tips over his shoulder. I think it would be easier to teach him through example in a multiplayer server, preferably on a computer.

random headcanon: Although he forgot all of his memories of his adventure in Steve Saga Origins, Rainbow Steve deep down inside felt like he didn’t complete his quest to complete Nightmare Steve and didn’t become the savior of the Steves. So Rainbow Steve had some extreme imposter syndrome, which was why he felt so jealous of Galaxy Steve. Give the rainbow child a hug.

OKOK SO this au is actually an incredibly old concept I made like YEARS ago before RQ was a thing!! So the "TWA universe" was just a fusion of, like, the SSO, SS, and Trapped series- It was very self indulgent and I forgot abt it until a few months ago n now I'm obsessed w adding onto it again! Now, the "universe" is basically just a straight up cobbled-together chaotic dimension of different FMS series. For rn, it's mostly focusing on the bizarre, obscure, and hidden things of the Steve series, but I'm trying to add more focus to everything else too.

Soooo...originally it was just kinda. In my daydreams, yknow. And then I made a list last year...andddd now I have 3 pages of characters, settings, and generally goofy moments. SO!! Here's that list! :3

Ofc, this AU is basically just a mix of what if-s, too many headcanons, and is literally just "that's hilarious/mean/cute, ITS GOING IN!" Ie, what if SSO Purple Steve ended up in the Steve Saga, still stuck as a chicken? What if he met Sabre? What if that one weird unkillable zombie from early SS became relevant again? What was going through SS!Shadow Sabre's mind?

Buckle up bc this might be awhile-

SO! This AU starts off with one group, consisting of: SS!Rainbow Steve pickaxe, Galaxy Sabre/Galaxy stuck in Sabre's mind, SSO chicken!Purple, and Trapped!Sabre. They're at Rainbow's first home, where he and Sabre had dealt with Shadow Sabre and that whole Dark Sabre fight. Nearby they meet Trapped!NPC Ivy and Trapped!Half-demon Francis, alongside the Trapped cabin.

HOWEVER, several things have changed. Francis is fully conscious as a regular person (mostly...) and Ivy, instead of being an un-interactable statue, has the regular NPC-mod menu functions - like we saw in ep 1 of Trapped (before Sabre got..yknow, trapped.) And, most importantly - Galaxy Sabre and Trapped!Sabre are the same person. Which...creates some I n t e r e s t I n g dynamics between Sabre and Galaxy.

I've got..hm..SIX pages of drawings I've done in my notebooks, plus like 3 papers with older art of the AU (completely ignoring the lists haha-) sooo ig I'll just show the first group we'd meet if I wrote it out- man, I need to draw demon!Francis. Yeah that'll be my next one.

BUT!! No way in hell I'm ending this post without my boy Gerald Steve!

Okok I put WAY too much thought into him- so he's not the only one of his kind, but also kinda is?? So I hc that his timeline/existence is BECAUSE of the RQ timeloop, and so he's basically the first of his kind but bc of how timeloops work he also isn't?? His Pink-Steve-looking species are semi-omniprescent in a way, capable of "seeing" between time and space - sort of an Indigo Steve, but they're much more down-to-earth and stuff ig. They're the navigators, the people that help the weary travelers of both time and space. The™ Gerald Steve we meet in the timeloop episode is considered the "original" but not the first, in his time, he is one of many Pig/Gerald Steves. Thanks to shenanigans with the loop, him helping Sabre marks the beginning of his kind existing. But, like, according to everyone else in his timeline, the Gerald Steves were part of the created kingdoms just like the others. Yeah. Only his people know the truth. The one we meet, his role is considered of high value to be chosen to be a guiding presence in the midst of chaos.

WHICHHHHHH, is where he becomes an interesting role in the swaploop duo's life! So, most of the RQ loop involved callbacks to past series, except for a few instances. The swap timeline, the alien and inverted worlds, and the sleep fight timeline. (I think) The swaploop duo's S!Rainbow is the "original" RQ timeloop!Sabre, so he's seen the entire timeloop, but didn't see it end.

Sooo what this means for Gerald Steve, is that he's meant to be the failsafe if things like time falling apart happen. Except this loop...he didn't succeed. Sabre had permanently become S!Rainbow, thus leaving the loop open-ended, and then space had fallen apart when the duo were taken to the TWA universe. Of course, Gerald Steve followed. It's his job after all, and he finds there's a lot more work to do than he thought. So, a lot of his fellow Gerald Steves arrive in the TWA universe, trying to be the guiding hands to put things back together. Some laugh, some just surprised, some want to examine a little too closely, when they come across these Steves. But still, they go on.

That is, until they meet Trapped Sabre, and they realize that none of this, absolutely none of it, is able to be recovered. This, IS the new normal. And Trapped!Sabre's little secret just made things much more interesting.

So one of the key plot points in TWA is that Trapped!Sabre is transformed into a real world human, presumably a mix of Steve Labs, Trapped Victor, and Reality Steve.

..HOWEVER. Recently had a dumb idea of Labs!Sabre deciding to do some Mad Science™ and fuse Labs!Rainbow with him as well. While Galaxy is still merged with Sabre, might I add.

I imagine Rainbow's sideways mouth is on Sabre's chest, and his left arm is turned into a weird, sharp pickaxe fleshy thing. Long and sharp, unlike Rainbow's usual pickaxe body. Rainbow's eye is possibly on his shoulder.

When Victor opens the machine, Sabre is half-conscious...barely able to think, except scream for Galaxy as Victor is about to grab him. Galaxy is...disoriented, to say the least. He's feeling all the same things (body-wise, I mean) as Sabre. He barely manages to cover Victor in cobblestone. Rainbow is significantly less disoriented (I have no clue HOW Labs!Sabre would manage to get him in there hah-) and is already Ready To Bite.

With Sabre practically a passenger in his own body, Galaxy and Rainbow coerce his body to move. Labs!Sabre is prepared to stop them, but Rainbow is already fighting back before he even saw them. With a swift motion, Rainbow pinches and slashes him, his thin, pointed fingers now weaponized. As they get closer, Rainbow tackles him, biting with bigger teeth than before. His mouth was now big enough to bite anyone who dares come too close.

Labs!Assistant Steve is mostly entertained by this, though annoyed at how easily his companions were foiled. As Victor clears away the cobblestone, Sabre's instincts kick in, and with Galaxy and Rainbow's help, they run out the door, stumbling down the hill. Ivy spots them at the bottom, having been spying on the lab alone. She pulls them to the safety of the group.

But what got me genuinely considering this as the version I write is a scene later on.

The three of them are resting now, under the watch of their friends. Rainbow still can barely speak a single word, and as he wipes away some blood on Sabre, he utters, "s-sorry...,protect..messy,."

Sabre laughs sadly, "sorry? Dude I should be thanking you! You and Galaxy fought back when I couldn't!" He's tearing up now, "sure, we uh...didn't make it out unscathed, heh..but we made it out alive! I- I don't know what would've happened if I were alone. Thank you both, for..trying your best anyways."

"Of course, Sabre, I was so worried when Victor came in, I- I'm sorry I didn't try to fight back sooner." "Galaxy, it's okay. I told you not to, it's alright..the machine probably messed you up, too.."

Halloooo I'm here with day 9 of Stevetember- ✨️ incompetent ✨️

And today I bring you some Steve Saga Rainbow variants from my AU The Weirdest Adventure (aka TWA)! Let's just say TWA!Sabre isssss...not at all competent when it comes to getting Rainbow out of pickaxe form 😅

Yeah, there's literally a B plot in the AU that's just. Rainbow goin' thru it. Literally, every time they try to put him back in his normal Steve form, he just gets turned into something different lmao.

These are just some of the funnier ones, I've got variants for daysssss. Left to right, it's: pickaxe hands, sheep, rainbow tree sapling, and tiny + bottled.

All the variants are just based off of the most random things that happened to him in canon - see: connected to a whole freakin tree, literally bottled, timeloop sheep, turned into a pickaxe, French timeloop, saved with literal wool-infused stone... yea. Not to mention the RQ side of that (since O!Rainbow is in the timeloop ep and is a pickaxe, hehe) so I just. Have half a page all just dedicated to remixing that insanity :P

"Alright, before we begin, all we want to know is who you are, how you know Sabre, and what was going on before you arrived here."

"Okay!" Rainbow turned to Orange, "do you want to go first or should I..?"

"Y'know what, go ahead," Orange Steve replied with a smile.

"Okay, okay, where should I begin..? Oh! I was created long before Sabre showed up! Yeah, I was created in a lab by the Elders! They're the wisest and best of the 5 colors! They combined part of each of their powers to make me!

It didn't work immediately though, so when I woke up no one was around to show me how to use my powers. I became close friends with one Steve of every color, Blue was my bestie through and through!

I was created to fight against Nightmare Steve, he got power hungry and absorbed a Red Steve. My friends and I went on so many adventures together, collecting the artifacts, making friends, and trying to save everyone!

We found the ruins of a Steve temple, a place to protect Steves from evil and exist in harmony, I showed Blue my origins, I found out I was part of a prophecy, we found the ruins of Blue's village..

Nightmare created Dark Steve, and Dark went after a lost Green Steve village we found :(

He infected and controlled them, we had to run away.. those poor Steves..

Green Steve got infected, it didn't control him at first but it was slowly killing him..

We found the Red Artifact and this cool Ultimate Weapon pickaxe we were able to defeat Dark with! That was awesome.

We found our way into a secret underwater city and found the Green artifact, as well as meeting the elder guardian! He wasn't an elder or the same kind of guardian like the Guardian of the Spirit World, who's here right now. He was a fish, elder guardian is a kind of fish."

"Okay enough about the fish. What important things happened?" Naomasa interrupted.

"Oh! Well, first we met Yellow Steves! They tried to steal the artifacts. Nightmare attacked, and Blue got really hurt.. We met Purple Steve and we tried all we could to save Blue..

He got cursed, and..Elder Blue Steve, an Evil Elder, possessed him and Yellow..We were barely able to defeat him.

After that, Blue decided it was time we parted ways..He stuck with me to get the Yellow Artifact but after that he left to find his own path..

Purple and I went on our own adventures, finding the Lost Steve Relics, the Blue Artifact got stolen, breaking the relics...it was crazy. Dark returned, and put us in the Nether.

He had survived by teleporting to the Nether to regain his energy. While we were there, he mentioned a secret plan to kill Nightmare. We escaped, and found a portal back to the overworld.

We arrived at Prof. Red's lab, he was the Red Steve I met earlier on my first adventures. Professor Red was a lot smarter than most Red Steves, though a little..odd. He had an obsession with mushrooms.

Anyways, Prof. Red wanted to test out a new potion on Purple and it turned him into a chicken XD

It wasn't funny for long, cause a Red Steve stole him while we were gathering the ingredients for a reversal potion. The guy tried to eat him! >:/

I was able to save Purple, but Dark got involved before we could fix Purple. We had to flee through Dark's portals, which he had set up to get places quicker.

He chased us down, until we found ourselves in Blue's old village.

Purple was right next to me as I ran away from Dark, but by the time I got to a mountain summit I looked back and he was gone! I don't know where he went :<

I just hope he didn't have a painful death.. I know by the time Sabre came around everyone I knew, besides Dark and Nightmare, were dead..

But then I met Blue again! We met up with Prof. Red again and he gave us this special potion! We found this special Steve Apple too!

Thinking back on it, I found a lot of crazy artifact kind of things...weird.

Anyways, we also had this Anti-Steve potion..I can't remember if that was the special potion from Prof. Red or not.

We attacked Dark with the potion and discovered Hypno for the first time.

Hypno was basically Dark's science experiment, of similar origins like me. He can mess with you mind, see your deepest insecurities and show you them. He despised all Steves deeply, and hated being a Steve himself.

He tormented Blue and I for ages, even making me so confused and untrusting I attacked Blue!

Hypno, he...changed though. He saw into my mind, and while not exactly...good, he stopped attacking. He didn't believe in me, but he wasn't an enemy and that's what mattered. He knew enough based on what he saw in my memories to change. It's hard to remember, I can recall Blue and the others perfectly but Hypno I can't. He's there but not there, which sounds about right for him actually.

All I do recall is he fought with me against Dark, and in the end, he helped.

Blue and I had a fight. Not..not like that. A fight between friends, y'know? I was so sad when he got upset..

Oh yeah! Nightmare broke into Prof. Red's lab, where this End Crystal was held, and he absorbed it. That's what gave him those black marks. Blue and I made up after that, but Prof. Red didn't trust us to be around him anymore, after all the disaster we brought..

Dark came along, planning to disguise himself as an Elder Blue Steve and trick others. I fought hard, but Blue was getting worse and worse. He.."

Rainbow sniffled, unable to finish his sentence. He rubbed his eyes, trying to focus.

"He...he jumped in front of me when Nightmare attacked. He took the hit, risked himself for me... He- he- with the last of his energy, he merged with me," he was crying, but smiled, moving a lock of hair, "this heart appeared afterwards, a reminder of his sacrifice... I-I miss him but I know he's always here with me, for-forever.."

Naomasa and Aizawa looked at each other. Literally none of that was related to Sabre, and they knew Rainbow was by SS Sabre's side most of the time.

There was going to be way too much if they asked him what happened while he was with Sabre.

"That's such a sweet story. I had a best friend I lost too. This rose in my hair was my reminder of him.." Orange smiled sadly, the two bonding even closer.

Rainbow rubbed away tears, knowing there was more to his story he had to tell.

"That's beautiful," he smiled, "...I still have more though. When I lost all hope, Hypno stood by my side. We fought Dark together. And when I couldn't, that Green Steve that was infected gave me comforting words.

And so I asked Hypno to send me into hibernation, to get stronger. He said I would lose all my memories, and-and I did. I was willing to trade my memories for power, to avenge Blue and all the poor Steves Nightmare and Dark killed. E-even if I didn't know i-it..

And that's where Sabre comes in.

Sabre brought the 3 Steves I was split into together, merging them back into me. I was confused and a little scared.

I mean, Sabre wasn't a Steve, I had no memories, only the fact that there was a great evil in the world I needed to stop.

When I finally got used to things again, I..attacked him. It was a few weeks of fighting back and forth. I tried using all my new powers out, which was unlucky for him, heh. He survived, obviously. But he met Dark, who was trapped in an underwater temple. Those are normal, by the way. They're usually surrounded by guardians and elder guardians. Y'know...the fish.

Dark was still disguised as a Blue Steve, with the powers and all. Dark told him my weakness was lava. Sabre was able to successfully trap me, which made me really freak out, like REALLY freak out. I had no powers and the more time I spent surrounded by lava the dizzier and more lightheaded I got. He even separated me into the different colors. I...don't want to remember that. It was awful.

But in the end, we became friends. I trusted, and still do trust, Sabre with my life. When he put me back together he made Light! :D "

"Okay, thank you. That's all we needed to know of your past. One last thing: Sabre said you died. What happened?" Naomasa interrupted him before he could keep going, already knowing he'd regret asking this.

"Oh! Well I died lots of times, which one?"

"Uhm.." Naomasa flipped through his notes, reaching Sabre's list of villains, "...Void."

"Ah. Well...Void had captured me. Galaxy, Purple, Sabre, and I were trying to come up with a plan to stop him.

Void..revealed to me he was part of Galaxy, and if he died, so would part of Galaxy. He convinced me he would create a new universe, but he would let me tell the story of the old universe, keep the history and memories alive. I didn't have any powers left at that point, so I mostly showed up with Void or alone, Sabre and Galaxy kept trying to tell me I was on the wrong side but I refused to believe them.

That was, until Void deemed me useless and locked me up. Sabre and Galaxy were able to rescue me, but at a price - they were at a random location and had to use a risky machine to reach me. That merged them together. It's still weird to think about, Galaxy was in Sabre's head and when merged his face was like..on Sabre's face.

But they fought Void like that, and could've won if Galaxy didn't run out of energy. He got so low we were all sure he would turn into a black hole again.

And yes, he does do that. He did that once, and I got sucked into it. Sabre decided to follow for whatever reason.

But what's important right now is Void.

Void trapped them in a crater and unmerged them. Galaxy was so tired he could barely walk...

V-Void was about to destroy them with a massive, powerful lightning strike. I-I ran for it. I- jumped in front of them. It stung so badly, it felt like my entire body was burnt to ash..

That-that was when I d-died. I met the Guardian, and he explained everything. I-I asked to watch Sabre in his final moments, just in the hope that they would make it out alright. That maybe I didn't die in vain..

But-but Void..knew their plans. Sabre was able to make a machine with his measly resources and teleport Galaxy far far away, where he could recover. S-Sabre was going to face Void-Void alone. At least, he thought so. I-I was right by his side, hope-hoping at least that we'd see each other soon, i-if nothing else.

That was when Void revealed everything, and absorbed Galaxy...He'll tell you everything.

After that, I was satisfied with what had happened. Sabre was able to inspire Galaxy to fight Void from within, and we won in the end.

So I started looking for my old friends. W-with my memories restored, I could find most of them pretty easily.

It was a long time before I met Sabre again.

I still couldn't find Blue anywhere.

Sabre had come to the Spirit World because of the newest enemy, Origin. He and I caught up with one another for a while, but he had to save the world. So we said our goodbyes, and we opened a portal for Sabre to return to the land of the living.

I decided to start watching him again. I was there when Origin was stopped, when Hypno revealed himself...I heard every word. I watched my last friend die willingly, knowing he wasn't supposed to live for multiple centuries. We met in the Spirit World, and it was lovely to have almost all my friends back.

I could never find Blue in the centuries that followed, though..everyone believed he was there, and believed we could find him one day.

If it weren't for him, I probably would've gotten myself killed on day 3!

There was a strange...thing overtaking the Spirit World. It started slow, but it got worse and worse. It was a blank, white void, taking over the plants and then trees and the grass. And soon everything..everything went white.

I-I was alone when the lightning took me. I had taken shelter on the last tree left alive, one which I had built with my friends to be like the Rainbow Tree of Life.

But-but just like the real tree, it-it was losing its color.

The Guardian was- was nowhere to be found. He was completely missing while the Spirit World was taken by an invisible infection..

The-the worst part was that it didn't kill my friends. They didn't die, they just...suddenly stopped existing. I'm scared of what their fates were, and what mine could've been if I wasn't brought here.

I'm still excited to see Sabre again though! And Light too!"

Everyone was silent. The Spirit World was a place they all thought was untouchable. After all, in human myths, the afterlife isn't supposed to be affected by outside forces. Heaven is filled with good people. Hell is filled with evil, and that's it.

Heaven isn't supposed to be destroyed just like that.

Orange sat in silence, questioning if SS Rainbow was remotely okay. He decided it was best if they didn't dwell on the what ifs, and focused on the now.

"That..sounds rough. I'm grateful you were brought here, then. Do you want to leave..?" Orange asked, careful with his words.

Rainbow smiled a tiny bit. "No, I'd like to hear your adventures actually. It'd be nice to get my mind off of it.."

"Oh okay!" Orange Steve adjusted himself to speak next.

"I'm Orange Steve! Sabre and I met soon after he came to our world through the portal. My best friend, Red Steve, lived nearby but we both lived alone.

He guarded the portal and kept the Red crystal safe. I was abnormally powerful for a regular Steve, so I moved out of the Orange village. I still visited regularly.

At the time, neither Red nor I knew there were more Red Steves. They had been almost entirely erased from existence by Void and the darkness. And with them went our history.

Sabre and Red had traveled to the nearby temple which no one could seem to open. Sabre was able to open it, and Red was able to teach him enough about our world and the prophecy before it all went wrong..

That very temple was the temple in which the Darkness was sealed away. It escaped, but not before getting to Red.. He- he had the red crystal, which could've healed him.. B-but it disappeared after the temple. It couldn't have been the Darkness, it was..someone else. You probably heard Sabre mention him: Rainbow Red.

But that's for later.

Red took Sabre to me when he discovered the crystal was gone, and explained everything to me. Red went inside to think while Sabre and I got to know each other.

That...was when we heard his screams. It had gotten worse. It was already in his eye..we-we couldn't save him. He begged me to kill him, before it got worse.

I..." dark tears fell slowly, pouring out faster and faster.

"...did what I had to. He would've been too far gone if I didn't..." He tried to stop the tears but they wouldn't.

SS Rainbow hugged him close, whispering comfort to Orange.

"He was my best friend for so long. I thought we'd be by each other's side forever. I- I thought Sabre would too..b-but then I did the leaving in the end..." he muttered quietly in-betwen sobs.

"It's okay, I did that too many times. It's okay, just let it out," Rainbow remembered Blue and his old friends. He could feel a tear slipping but stayed strong for Orange.

They sat there for a while, until Orange finally sat back up.

"Sorry- sorry about that," he apologized with a sniffle, "he meant a lot to me.."

"Okay, how about you just tell us about what your powers are? Let's...not talk about the bad for now.." Naomasa knew Aizawa wouldn't say anything but they needed to avoid more outbursts.

Orange fixed the flower in his hair smiled.

"Yeah, that sounds good. Honestly? I never got a chance to really learn what I could do just as an Orange Steve, much less as the hero.

I can easily summon items I'm familiar with, like a pufferfish or stick," he demonstrated with a little laugh.

"I can also summon houses. Sabre said it wasn't a great offense back then.. so I learned to summon large balls of wool. It's not as strong as cobblestone or anything, but it was better. I can also create large structures with the help of the orange crystal.

That's how I made the Rainbow Hubs. They had the 7 portals in the main entrance and a teleporter platform in the center. When I was...just me, I hand-built a house for Sabre and I, but as Rainbiw Steve, I could create a personalized building for anyone in only a few seconds. Of course, it took a lot of energy to create something that big.

But I've got more power than normal Orange Steves, cause I used to be the crystal. I guess it was such a pure power source that when I was created when it split, I had a lot more to work with than most, heh.

As Rainbow, I could use the abilities of all the colors, but mainly orange since I'm an Orange Steve. I could take on the Darkness much better than before, but I'm no fighter.. I'm an artist and pig lover. I never knew what I was doing as the hero, and having to keep up a facade at first messed with me.

After becoming the hero, Sabre and I tried to pretend I wasn't me. The hero was supposed to know what he was doing and fix everything, not..me. Light did his best to train me , but honestly I was an idiot..

I mean, I ran away from the fake darkness dummy Light made. It was silly.

Still, Sabre and Light thought I was plenty powerful anyways.

I guess I was...

Still, I didn't feel ready, ever. Even after we dropped the act and revealed who I was, I still felt unprepared. Sure, they were fine with it. But I'm sure they just never mentioned any doubts.. I sure had plenty.

Honestly, the worst part before Void's whole...existence, was Reverse. He was furious that I was the hero, when he wanted to be Rainbow. He drained my power and beat me up at least twice, I can even remember now.

And knowing that I was that mythical hero that Reverse wanted to be, that person that everyone looked up to, it made me feel bad for not feeling ready for any of it.

I'm sure everyone mentioned the giant bed. I...was completely stupid. Elemental, Blue, Time, Sabre, and I were in the second Rainbow Hub I had just made when the Violet and Green portals went off. We decided on Green.

Even though I had just finished making such a complicated structure, I still had energy. Elemental, Sabre, and I arrived with the green kingdom covered in darkness.

It terrified me.

An entire kingdom ruined, and I was supposed to fix it?!

This was also the point where Void was leading the Darkness.

I felt overwhelmed, I tried to hide it before we arrived and also after just messing around. It was stupid. I knew we were wasting time but I just couldn't face the task before me.

I told Sabre and Elemental I'd stay behind and teleport over in a moment.

I had just...given up. My mind just kinda...shut down. Maybe I was just overwhelmed. Maybe I had taken the coward's way out. It...doesn't matter now. I made stupid decision after stupid decision until I made the stupidest decision of all.

I just..summoned a giant bed. Right there, at the front of the kingdom. Looking back on it, I must've had some death wish because Void was there and I knew it. At least that would've made me try instead of just napping. I'm sure they were both judging me the entire time but I just gave up. I'm no hero, I'm an idiot wearing a hero's cape..

It...it was at the Violet kingdom later when I finally gave up for real. An infected Violet Steve had yelled at me and I just..lost it.

I was such an idiot the entire time! The Violet portal was going off, and I just wanted to play rock paper scissors... I-I should've gone into the portal as soon as possible but I didn't. And look at where all those stupid decisions led me!" He raised his voice, making the others flinch. Not again..

Rain had tried to reach for Orange, but he pushed him away, still speaking. He started glitching as he recounted his time as Rainbow, transforming fully by the Green Steve rescue mission.

His tears were just as black as Sabre's, so full of regret and guilt.

It was happening again.

RQ Rainbow stood, glitching into his corrupted form.

"I walked right into Void's hands," his dark eyes terrified Rain.

He had to stop this.

"What?" RQ's voice was sickeningly soft, "you know I failed. I heard everything you did." His laughter echoed, sending a chill down everyone's back.

He smiled, sharp incisors looking sharp enough to tear someone's head off. "You were more of a hero than I ever was," black tears continued to fall, turning into another living puddle of goo beneath the corrupted hero's feet.

"I never deserved the title anyway!"

The door had been wide-open since Sabre heard RQ Rainbow recounting his failures at the Green kingdom. No one dared to move.

"Rainbow. Stop," a familiar voice made the four turn to the doorway.

Sabre was leaning against the doorway, unable to walk normally, again.

"I know what it feels like to make stupid decision after stupid decision-"

Corrupted Rainbow just smiled.

"Hah! Do you really? Then maybe we should just tell these people the truth! We're no heroes! We're practically villains!" Black craggy horns shined dangerously in the light as he threw his head back.

"NO! We aren't villains! YOU aren't a villain! Not being a hero doesn't mean we're evil!"

SS Rainbow was able to help Sabre walk closer, still uncertain of what to do.

"Oh? Then why do these people seem like it does?!" He yelled, pointing accusingly at the two men sitting there, unable to do anything.

"That doesn't matter! What matters is we're here, we're alive! What happened in the past is in the past! I know what it feels like to be judged, I felt that everywhere I've gone. People can judge, but they don't know the full story! Only we will! And that's okay! Let them judge, let then fear us! You know as well as me that Void screwed us ALL over! He made that stupid prophecy! HE attacked the kingdoms! YOU aren't to blame!" Sabre shouted, before suddenly growing silent after the last word was spoken.

"Maybe I am the one to blame.." he muttered, standing completely still.

He remembered the fact that he created Origin, and thus the First Curse, and so on.

SS Rainbow glanced between the two. He knew just what to do. He grabbed both his friends' hands.

"You guys aren't bad people," he inched them closer, "you've just had a lot of responsibilities put on your shoulders. Anyone else would've had a rough time. Don't dwell on your mistakes, learn from them!" He smiled, wrapping the duo in a big bear hug.

Neither traumatized™ could keep themselves from laughing. Corrupted Rainbow sunk into his lookalike's embrace, heaving a sigh of peace. Sabre just muttered something about SS Rainbow being better at words than he is, followed by Rain shushing him.

Corrupted Rainbow transformed into a new form; angel. He looked similar to his corrupted form, but without the Darkness.

SS Rainbow let go as RQ looked at himself, muttering a simple "huh." He just stood there, touching the soft pastel rainbow robe he wore. It reminded him of Blue Steves, bringing a smile to his face.

SS Rainbow laughed. "See? I told you so! You're an AnGeL~!" He jumped, turning into his own angel form only to fake-fly with his arms.

The trio devolved into laughter while everyone else was letting go of their breath. The tension had gotten so thick you could cut it with a knife.

Aizawa and Naomasa sighed, sharing a knowing look of displeasure. They didn't feel like dealing with this anymore. But if they didn't look into the others' stories, they could miss an important detail that could change everything.

There were so many more to go. But it had to happen.

RQ Rainbow returned to being Orange Steve again, with a pufferfish in hand.

"Sorry 'bout that! Hopefully that doesn't happen with anyone else," he waved goodbye to the tired pro hero and detective.

"Orannnnge >:/ " Sabre said in an accusatory tone.

"Nuuuuu lemme have just one!" He held the fish close to his chest, fake crying.

"No! It's bad for you!" Sabre started walking out the door, Orange in tow.

"C'mon Sabre! One is just fine!" SS Galaxy interrupted, holding his own pufferfish.

"Ayyy! Puffer gang!" Orange shook out of Sabre's grasp and ran over to Galaxy.

Alex gave Galaxy a look, reminding him to not have more than one. She already made him promise.

"But-" Galaxy started, but just gave up.

Alex can be strict when she wants and no way she's backing down. Galaxy and Orange chatted about all things pufferfish instead.

Sabre just rolled his eyes, going over to the Light Steves with SS Rainbow.

"You guys okay? That was pretty serious." RQ Light asked, directing it towards Sabre.

"Yeah we're fine. Keep things on the low, okay? Don't bother explaining more than you need to. Simplicity is key- and now I'm realizing I'm an absolute hypocrite. Uh- do as I say, not as I do-" He laughed.

"Heh. Yeah, we won't," SS Light smiled, knowing his friend was feeling better.

"Come on, mini-me," RQ Light smirked, walking away.

"H-hey! I thought I told you not to call me that!" SS Light had to run to catch up to RQ Light's leisurely stroll.

"Hello. I apologize for my friends, they can be a bit...much," RQ Light said as he sat down.

"Yes, they were a bit...intense. Now, explain how you know Sabre," Aizawa said, taking a sip of water.

"This should be much quicker than the others, heh," RQ smirked, "I'm RQ Light Steve. Sabre and I first met in my old village, when our leader couldn't find the orange crystal. That was back when I was Shy Orange Steve. Yes, all Orange Steves are named like that.

They couldn't help, but later the Darkness came. A Yellow Steve came out of nowhere and took the infected Steves, I was stuck in my house at the time.

The leader had a shield around his house with the few who didn't run away or get infected inside. They were able to help me get inside before the infected found me.

The Yellow Steve was the same as the one here, he wears a leather chestplate. He was able to contain the infected Steves and Orange healed them later.

Things went well, until Nightmare and Dark showed up.. Neither are here currently. They destroyed our beautiful village, captured us, held us in a facility.

I was there when Happy Orange Steve was absorbed by Dark..I held a grudge against him for that for a very long time.

But it gets worse - Sabre and Orange were unable to stop them. Nightmare murdered Sabre right in front of us and then took us all away.

Nightmare put Orange Steve into a different place in the facility. I should mention the facility was run by Darkness.

After Sabre rescued us, Orange took us all back to the Rainhow Hub - the original one. He came up with the idea of creating a rival for Dark, in a similar manner to how Dark was made. He can be pretty intelligent sometimes, heh.

After we created the Light crystal, I stepped up to take on the role. I was sick and tired of the Darkness and feeling useless in the fight. I wanted to take up a role where I could protect my fellow Steves.

My friends and family gave me a goodbye, but I knew it wasn't a goodbye. Just a change.

I had to learn my powers on my own. I decided to work with the Yellow King at his outpost and stuck around til the end.

When Sabre was overcome by the Darkness, I created the Colorless Guard to protect the Steves. With all the leaders and I working together, we built the Rainbow Kingdom, my guards securing the place."

"Hm. Interesting. You weren't kidding, that was very quick in comparison to the others," Naomasa commented, "anything else?"

"Yes. As for what recently was going on, it would be the end of the world. I was taken by the Armor, but Hypno released me and everyone else.

The First Curse put a curse on the whole universe, inducing many awful disasters. Sabre and Time were gathering the shards of the crystals from all the leaders while I was preparing myself mentally and physically to take on the First Curse.

After they gathered the shards, we met up at the very machine Void Steve used to absorb Rainbow all that time ago. We reworked it so I may take on the crystals, becoming the last Hero. However, it had a price. I lost my voice in the time I was Rainbow.

Despite everything that told us we would lose, I successfully defeated The First Curse. However, while he was now shattered, the universal curse stayed put. Everyone who died in the disasters were still dead.

We had no idea how to fix it. Until Origin arrived. Yes, the creator of the Steves. Origin had been cursed by TFC many generations ago, forcing him to only be able to interact with the overworld spiritually.

That curse was broken with the defeat of TFC. But the only way to put everything right again was for Sabre to go into a time loop, which would reverse the affects but Sabre would never see us again.

Time was able to successfully create a portal for Sabre, but he was on the last of his energy. I was able to separate the crystals before he too, shattered. I miss him. Sabre too, at least before coming here, heh.

With everything back to normal, the kingdoms began working together, and I returned to working as the leader of the Colorless Guard. The Yellow Steves decided to change their ways, preferring a much more peaceful way of life. We started making camps outside of the kingdoms which grew into towns. Everyone was welcome there.

Peace had finally been achieved."

Light smiled sadly, knowing Time and Sabre had to sacrifice so much to bring that peace.

"Thank you. Sabre never mentioned any of that, it was also quite efficient."

"You're welcome, sir."

"Now, would you mind telling us who you are?" Naomasa nodded towards SS Light.

"Uhm..no-no problem," he tried to hide his nervousness with a smile but failed, "I'm SS Light. I'm SS Rainbow's brother. I met Sabre when he gave me a physical form.

I, erm, used to live in the Spirit World. A Blue Steve showed up randomly, being chased by a Demon Steve. He explained what the Spirit World even was, as I'd never been in the overworld.

At the time I didn't have any powers but but I helped him anyways. We got chased into the Spiritless World, that..that was scary..."

Light gulped, playing with his hair as a way to calm himself.

"We had taken shelter in a cave...but the Spiritless World affected Blue weirdly..he felt all dizzy and coughed a lot. We were safe from the Demon, but Blue passed out on me.

I- I didn't know what to do! He didn't seem to be having any good dreams but I didn't want to wake him..

Then he woke up suddenly and freaked out! He seemed really shaken up but I wasn't sure how to help :(

The- the rest of my past I can't really remember..it's-it's like it never existed...

But I guess that's not what you care about, right..? It was some point long after that when Sabre gave me a physical..physical form and I finally gained powers..

Sabre and I were wary at first but we grew to trust each other after...he showed up."

"Who?" Aizawa asked, bored already.

"Dark Steve. I-I had to fight him really soon after I learned I had powers..I lost...

But then Sabre and Rainbow helped!" Light's mood brightened up instantly.

"W-when Nightmare showed up for the first time, I wasn't doing so good.." his mood dropped again, "Rainbow had taken me with him to escape Nightmare. He hadn't showed up yet, but Rainbow could sense him..
