Alternate ending for @ranboolivesaysstuff ‘s Generation Loss: gl!Ranboo is reprogrammed from being the “Hero” to “the Abomination”, aka the next villain in Showfall’s latest installment.
As the mask doesn’t force the wearer to act in a certain way, but only changes their perception, reprogrammed gl!Ranboo believes he’s attacking the Showfall employees, when in actuality he’s attacking his reprogrammed friends.
His demise as a ‘villain’ culminates in his memories returning to him, and refusing to fight back when the new Hero at last approaches him; he is slain feeling nothing but guilt.
EDIT: As this has gained a lot of positive attention on several platforms, I will absolutely be drawing/writing more for this! Stay tuned >:)
EDIT 6/24: Chapter 1 of “Unperson” is out! Read it here: https://archiveofourown.org/works/47833267/chapters/120589285

Ranboo Genloss Mask.... again-
Me and this mask have a love/hate relationship rn.
I'm attempting to make it more stable and sturdy so I can make it wearable basically and it's killing me ughhh. It's gonna be a long process-
Also, don't mind dream lol, he's just chillin

Generation loss go brrrr
Usual warnings of: gore / blood / body horror + spoilers for the series
Okay but the show goes so hard
Genuinely some of the most fun I've had being part of a fandom

God. I'm just thinking about how many times there were hints that we were supposed to see the glitches, that they were intended for the audience to see from the get go.
Like the mascot reacting to the glitch during Charlie's vivisection with a "What was that?" or how, after we learn that the fourth wall does not, in fact, exist; it called into question so many scenes where the cameras linger on what's going wrong. There was no effort to cover up the glitches, because they were supposed to happen in the first place. Hetch never stopped the cameras from seeing Ranboo watching the tapes. The cameraman never panned away from Sneeg having his slight panic attack when the veil lifted for him. It was all part of the entertainment, after all. We were *supposed* to know that something was wrong.
We were supposed to be scared. That was all part of the entertainment.
Not only is Generation Loss a horror series, so is whatever show Showfall is creating.
And it worked, didn't it?
