EJ Caswell and Jinxing things.

We were first introduced to EJ via the shirtless picture Nini has on her phone, as her boyfriend from Summer Camp  (I still think that Nini cheated on Ricky, but IDK how breaks during relationships work so meh). 

EJ has this tendency to think for things to go his way. He assumes things.

We were formally introduced to him during the cafeteria scene where he nudges Nini to go into auditions in costume, as both Troy and Gabriella. Both he and Nini assumed that he would get the part of Troy... Until Ricky swoops in with his guitar and he just became Ricky’s understudy.

The next bit of assumption, at the top of my head, is when he assumed that Nini won’t be able to find out that he stole her phone and deleted a voice message... Until he made the mistake about confronting Ricky about the voice message, he unknowingly revealed himself because of Ricky’s justifiable reaction of confronting his ex about sharing private messages from exes.

The whole wonderstudies scheming with Gina. He assumed that everything would go back with Nini from when they bonded over at summer camp, and we all know how that worked out, with a liquid fruit punch to his face.

The last bit of assumption I’m going to present is during season 2 episode 1. He assumed that he would get into Duke, the place where his parents and grandparents met, and somehow with his 4.3 GPA, he wasn’t able to get in.

All these instances of when EJ assumed things, it turned out badly for him, some had backfired on him, hard.

With these past events, EJ learned that he shouldn’t assume things, so when he was asked about his date with Gina, he immediately stated that he doesn’t want to use the D-word [date] because he badly wants this thing with Gina to work.

It probably broke his heart that when Jamie played the big brother-figure card, things still went south for him despite not assuming things.

So, I saw this crazy fan theory that the instagram comment that Ricky deleted on Nina's instagram was from Gina's older brother Jamie. If you look closely at the profile picture it looks like it says "Jamie Porter Music Production" but, its hard to tell. So if the comment really was from him not only did Jamie caused problems with Portwell but also Rini too both ships are the main ships of the series.

Think of it this way, EJ is the senior class treasurer, that deals with a lot of math, and while being a treasurer is less stressful than working in a bank, it still needs a lot of math to make sure you gave the exact change, no deductions and no additions.

Same is true for robotics, while I don’t claim to be knowledgeable, what I do know is that robitcs need a lot programming, which also deals a lot of math. Even if both Ashlyn and EJ aren’t sure of the decimals, they are at least sure of the whole numbers, that’s why I have Ashlyn round it off to the nearest tens to make it an easier answer.

As for EJ, he at least has the answer up.to the third decimal place.

Hope that answers the question.

As to how realistic it could be... I’m not sure, even I use calculators when working on math problems.

Actually, I think I may know the meaning of that particular phrase.

Future of Nations, is a translation of the Filipino Quote: “Ang Kabataan ang Pag-asa ng Bayan” Literally translated as “The Children are the the hope of the Country.” As per the sorting Hat’s usage, I believe “Future of Nations” refers to children.

So that's from a line an anon sent me in a Hogwarts sorting hat song that they wrote. The line/sentence is:

I feel that these virtues is an oversimplification of what the Hogwarts four value in the future of nations.

Which I believe is saying that there is more to the four houses than creativity, chivalry, dedication, and ambition (respectively). And that, as a whole, a nation would need more than these four qualities/values to prosper. The rest of the song talks about unity, so I think this is the thesis, essentially, in "we all need to work together to provide the best possible outcome"
