Cement is the end-product of a combination of 8 main ingredients that go through the cement production process. These main ingredients are in general extracted from the materials limestone, clay, chalk, sand, marl, shale, bauxite, and iron ore. A brief discussion about the contribution of different ingredients in cement is mentioned below: Lime: Lime constitutes about 60 – 65 % of cement which in turn contributes to the strength. It is highly imperative and proper care to be taken with respect to the right proportion to make the cement sound and strong. An additional quantity of lime could result in unsound cement and lead to the expansion and disintegration of the cement. Also, the use of deficient lime results in decreased strength of the cement and it will set quickly. Silica: About 17% – 25 % of cement consists of Silica which again is a contributing factor towards the strength of the cement because of the dicalcium and tricalcium silicates formation. If silica is present in excess quantity, although it increases the cement strength but would also result in prolonged setting time of cement. Alumina Cement contains about 3.5 % – 9% of Alumina and it is this product that imparts the quality of quick-setting to the cement. However, if there is an excess amount of alumina present in the cement it causes a reduction of strength. Iron Oxide About 0.5% – 6.0 % of iron oxide is present in the cement. In addition to strength to the cement iron oxide also provides colour and hardness to the cement. Magnesium Oxide It is important to add the correct proportion which is about 0.5 % – 4.0 %. of magnesium oxide that imparts colour and hardness to the cement. Again, the presence of surplus quantity will affect the soundness of cement which refers to the stability of the volume change involved during the process of setting and hardening. Sulphur Trioxide A small quantity of about 1 % – 2.0 % of Sulphur Trioxide is present in the cement which also helps to make the cement sound. Excessive sulphur trioxide results in the cement becoming unsound. Alkalis Only small quantities of Alkalis such as 0.4% – 1.3 %. of soda or potash should be present in the cement. Excess quantity of Alkalis leads to efflorescence and straining when they are used in concrete or mortar. Cement should have regular level and smooth finish such that it has to gel well and sink in completely when it is mixed with water. The total ratio in the percentage of alumina with iron oxide is not less than 0.66% of cement. The total percentage of sulphur content in cement should not be greater than 2.75%. The Magnesia content should not exceed 5% in weight. Insoluble residue in cement should not exceed 1.5% by weight. The cement should not lose its weight by more than 4% when heated. The initial setting time of cement should ideally be about 30 minutes. The final setting time should generally be about 10 hours. Trestle scaffolding: This type of scaffolding is used for painting and repair works inside the room, at a low height. The working platform is supposed to be on top of movable contrivances such as tripods, ladders, etc.
Steel scaffolding: In steel scaffolding instead of using wooden members, steel tubes are used and steel couplets or fittings are used instead of rope lashing, other things are similar to the wooden types. Such scaffoldings can be erected and dismantled rapidly. Steel scaffolds are nowadays used in high-rise buildings because of their height, greater strength, greater durability and greater fire resistance. Though its initial cost is more, its salvage cost is higher; it is extensively used these days, both used for brick and stone walls.
Patented walls: Normally in the market scaffolding made of steel is available. These scaffolds are arranged in special coupling frames, etc. The working platform is supported on brackets which can be adjusted at any suitable height.

I was speed walking to my car while praying to God that I didn't catch one of my heels in a pothole on the way. It was raining and I could feel my hair sticking to my face as I focused on finding my car, my hands digging in my purse for my keys. All the while, I was swearing loudly at the fact that I thought coming to this fucking Ohio State luncheon for athletes was a good idea. I played women's soccer during my time here, and I was excited to be here tonight.
I wasn't expecting to see him here. Mr. First Round #2 Draft Pick.. Nick Bosa.
We were a couple for two years while he was at Ohio State.. until he told me the week before draft night that he didn't want to be in a long distance relationship while I stayed here to finish my degree.
I cried like a bitch that day, my heart completely shattered. The day before he took me out to lunch and spent the day watching tv with me, us discussing how exciting our futures would be. I didn't realize I wasn't part of his equation. We made love that night and the next morning he got ready to head out, and before leaving, he broke it off with me.
I can remember standing there in shock as he kissed me on the cheek and quickly left, the door slamming shut after him.
I wasn't sure how long I stood there, before moving onto the couch and breaking down.
I blocked him immediately on everything I could. I didn't want to see him ever again.
Sam reached out to see how I was doing when he heard the news, but he was sympathetic to Nick because "he was crying about it" when he told him. I knew Sam was more loyal to Nick because they were friends first and bros, so I down played my emotions a bit and then avoided speaking to Sam as much as possible. Slowly his calls, texts, and DMs stopped coming through and I was relieved. I distanced myself from our shared circle. Sticking with my teammates and a few other friends I made in the History program.
I focused on finishing my degree and graduating. Fast forward two years and I was working in Santa Clara, California as a paralegal while doing law school part time. I did my best to avoid anything Nick and finally, after two years, I had moved on and found happiness. Or at least I thought I had.
I was mingling with two of my former teammates when he approached me from my peripheral. Clara cleared her throat nervously and discretely nodded in his direction. The second I turned towards him, my breath caught in my throat and I could feel my heart beating rapidly in my chest. I wanted to cry as the emotions seem to pour back out. Anger, hurt, sadness, love, and begrudgingly enough, happiness. I couldn't figure the last one out. Everything was mixing together in a rapid fire within my heart.
He was wearing a grey suit with a red tie, similar to his draft suit. It was fitted well, and he looked as good as ever. His eyes squinting as a big smile overtook his face. He looked relieved to see me as he reached up to scratch the back of his neck - his signature nervous tick.
I was a coward. The sight of him made me bolt through the crowded hall and out the nearest exit and into the rain.
That's why I'm here now like this.
Power walking to my car in a Versace mini dress and heels, soaked to the bone from the shitty Ohio weather.
"Nadia! Wait, please!" I heard heavy feet across the wet concrete as he closed distance between us. "I just want to talk for a minute."
I was enraged and turned around with my finger pointed in his face. "Talk? You want to fucking talk? After all the shit you pulled?! Fuck you! How about that for a fucking talk, dickhead?!"
I turned and started to walk away again, but he gently grabbed my arm, pulling me back to him. I lost my balance and fell against him, twisting my ankle. "Fuck!"
"Shit, shit!" I felt him pull me upwards and swoop me into his arms. I'm sure we looked pretty ridiculous. a 6'4" man carrying a hysterical woman in a mini dress. "Shit, Nadia, I'm so fucking sorry!"
"Just please take me to my car and leave me alone." I whimpered. I was sure my ankle was twisted and would bruise a bit for sure.
Nick walked in the direction towards my car and opened the door. Slowly and gently he helped me into the passenger side before quickly rounding the car and getting in the driver's side.
"What are you doing? Get out of my car!"
Nick stared ahead, not saying anything at first, and then he turned towards me. "We need to talk - afterwards, if you don't want to hear anything else. I'll leave you alone and never bother you again, but I have been trying so hard these past two years to reach out to you! You blocked me on everything, you ghosted Sam, and your teammates threatened to castrate me if I even attempted to visit you on campus during practice. I fucked up - I know I can't erase that, but I just want to say I'm so sorry for what I did. I was a coward who was scared that it wouldn't work out and you'd leave me." He ran his hands through his hair and stared forward again.
I said nothing, looking down at my lap, trying to ignore my hurting ankle. After a bit of silence I reached over and turned the car on since it was chilly from the rain and the car was fogging up a bit. The heat blasted and the radio turned on.
And just like a fucking movie, that fucking song started playing me. The one that made me cry every time I heard it after our break up.
"Two years, and just like that, my head still takes me back Thought it was done, but I guess it's never really over Oh, we were such a mess, but wasn't it the best? Thought it was done, but I guess it's never really over"
I could feel myself starting to cry when the hook played and Nick looked over in alarm, not sure of what to do.
"This stupid fucking song! This played on my playlist right after you walked out the door. You ruined this song for me!" I started to laugh while crying, seeing the humor in the situation.
Nick reached out his to mine and gripped it tightly as I sniffled and listened to the song. He was listening too.
I could see him shift slightly and bite his lip as he took in the lyrics. I could see him fighting a smile as well.
"Well shit.. yeah talk about timing." He said flatly.
For some reason that was also funny to me and I started laughing as the song built towards its final hook and this time Nick joined in with his own laughter.
"I guess it's never really over, then?" He asked quietly and I stopped laughing to stare at him.
His eyes were sad, but imploring.
I hated myself for falling into his eyes. They were a beautiful rich brown color. I hated that a part of me wanted to jump across the seat and kiss him, but I need more restraint than that.
"Well.. I think we have a lot to address and fix first. Let's start as building our friendship again? I'll give you my new number. I live in Santa Clara, so we can maybe meet up the next time you're back in the area?"
"Wait - you're in Santa Clara? Since when?" Nick looked happy at the news.
"Since last year. I work as a paralegal at a law firm who are helping me pay for my law classes part time."
"So we've been this close all this time?"
"I guess so.. It's a big area and I was sure I could avoid you easily. At least better than I would have if you stayed in Columbus.."
"Ouch.. I deserved that."
"Yeah, you did, but.. I'm really fucking heartbroken and seeing you here tonight brought that all back.. I wouldn't have come if I had known you were here. I thought I was over it. I've been doing so well and even casually dated for a bit without comparing them to you.. and seeing you here tonight.. my head takes me back to happier times and the end of it.. I can't promise anything, Nick." I said quietly.
He looked down at his lap and nodded quietly. "I'll take whatever I can get, Nadia. I mean it."
"Please don't make me regret this, Nick." I said quietly.
"I won't - I promise." He said firmly, squeezing my hand he was still holding on to.
We sat here a few more minutes, listening to Frank Ocean's Chanel before I said to him humorously. "Well, I guess Katy Perry is right. I guess it's never really over."
He just grinned back in return, his eyes shining brightly and full of happiness.
'Please don't break my heart again. I don't want to get over you again.' I thought to myself.

While she typically paid little attention to passersby, the unexpected presence of a strange man halted her in her tracks. His disturbing gaze sent a shiver down her spine, reminiscent of the unsettling demeanor often associated with serial killers.
At first, Polly assumed the man had stopped for some reason, so she attempted to walk past him on his left side. However, he blocked her way. When she tried to go around him on the right, he mirrored her movements. Suddenly, Polly felt a surge of fear as she realized he had drawn a pistol, her senses alert and her heart suddenly quickening its pace, while her breathing became shallow as adrenaline surged through her veins. She instinctively tensed and let out a gasp, her mind racing as she assessed the situation and searched for any possible means of escape.

“Don’t scream,” The male voice warned her, pointing the pistol at her. “There’s a car just across the street. Move,” His words were a command, ordering her to proceed to the car parked in the area. The gruesome thought of what could happen clouded her thoughts mixed with the fate that possibly awaited her if she compiled with the man’s request. As Polly moved towards the car under the menacing gaze of the armed man, waves of anxiety washed over her, crashing against the walls of her composure. Each breath felt shallow, as if her lungs were constricted by an invisible force, and her heart hammered relentlessly against her chest, threatening to burst through its confines. Her thoughts raced uncontrollably, a whirlwind of fear and uncertainty swirling within her mind. What did this man want from her? The weight of the pistol's presence bore down on her, its chilling touch sending shivers down her spine. Every sound around her seemed amplified, the distant hum of traffic and the faint murmur of voices only serving to heighten her unease. Her muscles tensed, ready to spring into action at the slightest sign of danger, yet she felt powerless in the face of the looming threat. Despite her best efforts to remain calm, the grip of anxiety tightened its hold on her, threatening to overwhelm her senses. It is twelve o'clock when Tobias Forge enters a small, concrete room at Forest National. He looks a little younger than 41, wears a black leather jacket over his Sepultura shirt and bracelets on his wrist. For a singer who has been on tour for months now and will be touring for months to come, he looks remarkably fresh.
Still, it's a strange tour, he says immediately, especially the American start of it. 'Once upon a time, when this tour was booked, it all seemed normal. But because in the United States we play in arenas where sporting events are also held, our adjusted tour schedule suddenly depended on hockey. And handball. And monster trucks. And everything you can do on ice these days. So our tour ended up looking like Stevie Wonder had planned it. But when we did play somewhere, often in a venue where many of the other bands had cancelled after all, we were often the first live band that people had seen in two years. Also now that we are in Europe. The enthusiasm that this arouses in people is really great. Despite the war, it feels like a new spring and like a time when everything is coming back to life. At the same time, I am aware that for some people it is very scary to suddenly stand in a crowd again. And I also realise that people don't just buy a ticket for a show because they have fifteen tickets left in their drawer for shows they still have to catch up on. So I'm very happy to play for the people who are now ready to be entertained.'
What struck me in Rotterdam was the enormous diversity of the audience. Especially in a time when everyone can live in their own bubble, Ghost attracts a colourful mix of old rockers, young ghotics, teenagers to fifties, from very alternative to pretty mainstream. How did you manage that?
I really don't know. When we just had our first record out and started touring, that was one of the first things I noticed, especially in the States. In Europe it took a bit longer, because here we first played on metal festivals, so logically we were mainly in front of metal audiences. But once we played our own shows, I thought: wow, did those indie chicks here come along with those guys, or the other way around? Sometimes it seemed like there were two different bands booked that night. We were quite a hyped band in our early years, so I thought: maybe that's why, and some of all these different people are here now more or less by accident. But it didn't diminish, on the contrary, the mix became broader and broader and exactly as you describe: a big collection of all kinds of very different people from different cultures and subcultures. I think that's one of the nicest features of our audience, and it keeps surprising me in a positive way. I know that finding an audience for your music in the first place is something you can never take for granted. If you're lucky, that audience will follow you for a while, and if you're really very lucky, you manage to build up something with a part of that audience for a long time, and you have to accept that that part will always be the same. I mean, if you go to a Backstreet Boys concert now, or a New Kids On The Block concert, there are 18,000 chicks screaming, but they are the same 18,000 as in 1990. Which is fantastic, don't get me wrong, but also implies that the highest achievable thing is if you can more or less conserve that following. So I am very, very happy with the diversity of our audience.
And then something else struck me. I don't know any band, maybe only Maiden, Metallica and Kiss, where so many people come into the room and buy a shirt first, even though they already have a shirt of your band. That a band is not only music, but also a logo, a design, an identity to convey: how quickly did you realise that?
Don't forget that I am first and foremost a fan. Of a lot of bands and a lot of elements of those bands. I was born in 1981, so grew up in the 80s, with a brother who was thirteen years older. And then my mother was also very liberal and a huge culture buff. When I was a kid, she already said: "Oh, you want to see Scarface, and Betty Blue? Just keep in mind that there are some realistic scenes in there." So I grew up with a lot of music, a lot of pop culture, a lot of film. But the thing that excited me the most was extreme metal. My brother was a punk, but had many different kinds of music, and taught me the roots of metal. From my teens on I wanted to play that music: death and black metal. That's how I started my band Repugnant in 1998.
That band is still distinguished for their old school death metal sound. It seems like quite a step from that sound to that of Ghost.
That metal sound certainly had its limits, and I started experimenting with writing pop songs alongside it. For a while I was a bit lost in a musical sense, I didn't know exactly which direction I wanted to go in. It wasn't until I was in my late twenties that I started writing songs that intuitively sounded a lot more interesting, because they were a mix of that pop, the harmonies from all sorts of genres, and everything that I loved about dark, hard music. The songs I worked on between 2006 and 2010 were good, I could tell that right away, but I had no idea about their commercial potential. Those songs became Ghost's first record, and my idea was: there's definitely an audience for this. But a limited, defined audience. A show at the Roadburn Festival, that's what I was hoping for. And then to come back six months later to a theatre in Amsterdam and turn it into some kind of art installation that you could put on every now and then. But when the first Ghost record came out and one opportunity after another came my way, I knew: no, I'm not going to be some kind of John Frusciante in a pop rock band. But because Ghost is so deeply rooted in everything I listened to growing up, I always come up with the concept intuitively: it's a mix of everything that I personally like. I think that's true for our fans as well, just as many of them have some shared interests. I think a lot of our fans are record collectors, like comics, and like horror.'
In the early years, the visual aspect of Ghost included something that has now disappeared: the mystery. Nobody knew who you were. Now they do. That doesn't seem to have made any difference in the perception of Ghost. Did that surprise you?
Mostly relieved, actually. Look, it wasn't like I was totally unknown and overnight everyone knew who I was. And I've always known that all the work that went into making Ghost, well, not an instant household name, but at least a name you've seen come along with when you're into music, that all that work wasn't about me personally. It was never my intention to become as famous as Ghost, or Papa Emeritus. The young version of myself, yes, he wanted to be famous and recognised on the street, but also mainly because he thought that was the way to get the attention of nice girls. But I really like the way that I can more or less step in and out of that fame now and just be myself undisturbed. When Ricky Gervais walks into a bar, everyone knows he's this funny guy and expects him to demonstrate. In my neighbourhood in Stockholm, there are a lot of people who are often on television or in films and series, they are really famous. Everyone knows who they are and what they do. When I walk down the street in Stockholm, I sometimes meet someone who looks back and makes the horns with his finger. At home, I'm just a married guy with two kids. With a wheelie recycling bin. And there is a huge gap between the stage and home, and I am very happy with that.
You certainly don't ignore your influences on your new album: you can fill an evening with guessing direct inspirations from other songs. In hip-hop, this is done with samples and is considered an homage. In rock, often as copying.
It's funny you should say that, because my son has recently become very interested in old hip-hop. I like that too, while I often find newer hip-hop depressing. The music I listened to in the 80s and 90s was often uplifting, even if it was about heavier subjects. Anyway, what I like about older hip-hop, apart from the audible enormous attention to the rapping, is the samples. My son recently played me another one, it was by James Brown. He asked me if I knew it. I said: do I know James Brown? Fuck, man! Let me tell you about the time my mother took me to the Stockholm Jazz & Blues Festival as a child. I was the only kid there, so I could just walk into the backstage area and I met B.B. King and the whole James Brown band. He was going to play there, but he had cancelled himself, while his band was already there. So his band members killed their time by playing all day with their new mascot: me! Like that. So much for my James Brown anecdote. And that's how it is at home all day long now. My son plays me Jimi Hendrix: do I know it? I have been influenced by so much music that if I were a visual artist, I would make collages. That's why I love the old work of the Beastie Boys: they actually made that into music and spent so much time on it. Well, in another way, mine, I think I try to incorporate all my influences into my music as well. I try not to overthink it: you have notes and you have language, and the only thing that matters in the end is that you make something with it that evokes a feeling in you, and if that feeling is very strong, that it might touch others as well. And sometimes, when it is finished, but only then, do you wonder what it reminds you of. I keep coming back to the word intuitive, but I really believe in that way of working: you have to keep writing and making music, then reduce it to 45 minutes or so for an album, and only at that stage you have to worry about whether some people find some pieces too similar to others. And even then. Sometimes people hear a song in your music that you've never heard yourself, or they say it's a 'copy', but that's a term with legal implications that don't apply at all. That's why that judgement against Ed Sheeran the other day was so important: before you know it, a musician is never safe from plagiarism accusations from someone who once wrote a song that nobody has heard. So yeah, I think that hip-hop comparison is the right one: I'm trying to carry on a musical tradition and, in culinary terms, cook a fusion meal.
Talk about a hip-hop custom. You're transparent about something songwriters have long seemed ashamed of: using co-writers to write your songs. For a long time, the idea was: you're a songwriter or you're a performer. And if you're a songwriter, you write everything yourself. Has that changed?
I consider the people with whom I write as editors. When you write a book, you also have an editor who says: you have here an anecdote of 5500 words, but you add so much that it distracts me from the core. Look at that again. Look, Aerosmith at one point threatened to become a legendary nostalgia act, without any direction. They then had songwriters intervene from outside to come up with a new sound, and with success. I'm not against that at all, but it's not what I do. I'm not looking for anyone to write a song for me. The premise is already there when the other one comes in. But then it comes! The person I invite to work with me has to challenge me to go in directions I hadn't thought of yet, take me to new places that fascinate me. Sparring with me to give me new insights, editing me, telling me when I am repeating myself.
You want to avoid repeating yourself?
I want to make sure that I am constantly learning. If you practise martial arts for years in the same dojo of the same sensei, it is also a good idea to train for a while in Shanghai. In a different environment, with different sparring partners. And it's complicated, because in this equation, during the recording of an album, I actually train at the same time in six different gyms with many different sparring partners, but I want it to continue to develop. And that also means that one day I can go back to our initial sound, but then enriched with everything I learned afterwards. For some puritanical metalheads this continuous change is a bit disturbing, and I understand that, because it can make a fleeting impression. But as much as I love AC/DC and Ramones, and that's really a lot, in the end I'm most fond of Queen's approach: doing it different all the time.
