There were nearly a dozen other medical gurneys nearby, each one holding a body. Corpses, all of them, the lifeless forms far too still, and more than half of them split open. The gurney next to him carried a cadaver with still open eyes, the glassy orbs staring off into forever. Gabriel shivered when he realized where exactly he was. A morgue. (x)

Why Don’t You and I Combine? - by Tye @perichat for the @reaper76bigbang

Summary:

When Jack and Gabriel divorce, they split up everything evenly between them so they never have to cross paths again. This includes their identical twin daughters, Lena and Olivia. Twelve years later the girls discover each other at summer camp, and hatch a scheme reunite their estranged dads, and with any luck, make them fall in love all over again. They switch places.

A short half hour playlist featuring artists from Stevie Wonder to Elton John, to create the cheesy, romantic mood perfect for getting into this amazing Parent Trap AU fic!

Hey! So! I had the privilege of reading @edgeladymusings fic before everyone, for the @reaper76bigbang and those are the previews of my piece for it. 

“The next time Soldier 76 became conscious, he immediately realized three things. First, the room was much colder; second, in his sleep he’d gravitated more toward the center of the bed, (...); and third, there was a warm body pressed to his back. Fuck, he thought.”

Please go read it on Fate and the Fall on AO3, I promise you, despite my silly pieces, it has an Actual Plot. Entire piece is under the read more, since its a little bit suggestive.

Re: the word count questions.

Most artists generally submit only one piece at the time of match ups, which is what determines the word count. One piece of art is what’s expected. However, some artists went above and beyond that the last time we ran this, and as such, absolutely deserve a fair return from writers.

If you don’t want to write 20k words, then don’t put an artist who submits more than one piece on your preferred list.

That being said, this is a challenge. If you don’t think you can meet the requirements, don’t sign up. It’s not for everyone, and that’s totally okay.
