Red Ginseng, Tea Tree
[ 🌟 sheet mask asks. 🌟 - ACCEPTING ]
red ginseng: do you think you'll still be the same person when you're old?
"Ha!"
Tumblr media
The sheer incredulity in that little laugh as they wave their hand. "Dear, if I'm lucky, I won't make it that far to see! But... I hope that I at least... never lose sight of it. Never forget them." They thoughtfully run their fingers over the scars on their forearm. "I hope that stays the same."
They couldn't really see themself as much older. When they tried, it was like looking in a foggy mirror, yet... they couldn't bring themself to wipe it clear.
It'd be easy.
But no. A blur. A nothing. They didn't know what their empty eyes would look like framed with lines, they didn't know if they'd look like their mother or their father more, if they'd go grey or blind or how their tattoos would fade.
It didn't matter, right?
Maybe they hoped someone would take their weight before then, have mercy on them, give them rest...

Random sheet mask review: The Face Shop Dr Belmeur Vita Serine Intense Face Mask
Ingredients here.
What it says on the package: Moisturizing. Radiant and pore care. More talk about it having a vitamin complex, serine and hyaluronic acid, ultra-adhesive sheet, being formulated without 8 problematic additives, and having natural fragrance.
I bought one to try because I love the serum from the same series, and have currently run out of it, and am on a tight budget so delaying a NowZenith order until September... ehh. Well, the first thing to report is that it's not exactly the same thing in mask form. The essence is quite runny and smells - the serum has no fragrance as far as I can tell, but the mask has lavender and citrus essential oils for fragrance, and it smells kind of bitter. Idk if it qualifies as hanbang if there's no ginseng nuance in there? Some people might like it, but I'm not a fan. It was also quite expensive, considering I'm mostly using cheap 10-packs of Banobagi these days, but I could get a 10-pack from NowZenith at around 20 $... Depending on the results. I am generally a fan of serine, and the mask sheet is pretty good, soft, but smooth and clingy, and holding a lot of the 30 ml of drippy essence, so it easily feels good for 30+ minutes. I've been distracted by so many things while masking & typing this, and it's still wet! Doesn't seem too sticky either.
The ingredient list is quite long, contains a number of nice things, although I could do without all the essential oils and silicones. After taking it off, finally, I can say that the immediate effect is that of powerful hydration - to the point that pores are a lot less noticeable. It does not seem to have the same effect of redness reduction that the Tone Balancing serum brings. Idk, I think this is a maybe, not a yes.

Korean skincare home remedies for achieving a radiant and youthful complexion
Tumblr media
Rice Water Toner: Koreans often use rice water as a toner due to its brightening properties. To make it at home, soak rice in water for about 30 minutes, strain the water, and use it as a toner.
Green Tea Face Mist: Green tea is rich in antioxidants and can refresh and rejuvenate the skin. Brew green tea, let it cool, pour it into a spray bottle, and use it as a facial mist throughout the day.
Honey and Sugar Scrub: Mix honey and sugar to create a gentle exfoliating scrub. Apply it to damp skin in circular motions, then rinse for smoother and brighter skin.
Yogurt Mask: Yogurt contains lactic acid that exfoliates and moisturizes. Apply plain yogurt to your face, leave it on for about 15 minutes, then rinse for a smoother complexion.
Cucumber Slices: Place cucumber slices on your eyes to reduce puffiness and rejuvenate tired eyes, a common practice in Korean skincare.
Potato Juice Brightening: Potato juice is believed to have skin-brightening properties. Apply freshly extracted potato juice to your face using a cotton ball, leave it on for 15-20 minutes, then rinse.
Seaweed Mask: Seaweed is packed with nutrients and minerals. Blend soaked seaweed into a paste and apply it as a mask for hydration and a radiant glow.
Tomato Massage: Cut a tomato in half and gently rub it on your face in circular motions. The natural acids in tomatoes help brighten the skin.
Egg White Pore Tightening: Whip egg whites and apply a thin layer to your face. Once it dries, rinse it off to achieve a temporary tightening effect.
DIY Sheet Masks: Soak thin cotton pads in essence (diluted toner or serum), place them on your face, and let them sit for 10-15 minutes for a quick hydration boost.
Oatmeal and Milk Cleanser: Mix oatmeal with milk to create a gentle cleanser. Oatmeal soothes the skin while milk provides moisture.
Aloe Vera Gel: Apply freshly extracted aloe vera gel to your face for soothing hydration and to address redness and irritation.
Honey and Lemon Mask: Mix honey and a few drops of lemon juice for a brightening and clarifying mask. Apply it and leave it on for 10-15 minutes before rinsing.
Red Ginseng Steam Facial: Steam your face and then apply a red ginseng-infused cloth to open pores and rejuvenate the skin.
Mung Bean Face Pack: Mung bean powder can be mixed with water to create a detoxifying face pack that helps with skin clarity.

Review of Missha’s CHOGONGJIN GEUMSUL Jin Mask
Missha is a well-known and popular Korean brand, they produce skincare and makeup and are well-known for their high-quality BB creams. Their new CHOGONGJIN line is designed with the intent to embrace timeless natural ingredients and harness their restorative powers to heal and protect your skin. It has three types of masks including this one, Geumsul (royal honey jelly), Sosaeng (red ginseng; review), and Youngan (black ginseng; review). Each mask is made with a Gongjin blend of ingredients which includes thyme, cornelian cherry, and female ginseng. This mask is designed as a highly nutritious mask drenched in the Gongjin complex. It's meant to perfectly hug your face contours to nourish and revitalize skin. Key ingredients include (of course): thyme extract (antifungal, antiseptic, fortifies skin, helps to keep dry skin from feeling tight and itchy), cornelian cherry extract (antioxidant-rich, vitamin-rich, treats skin damage and aging, enhances skin clarity, and radiance), Korean angelica extract (known as female ginseng, fights signs of UV damage and aging, detoxifying), royal jelly extract (nourishing, vitamin-rich, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, skin repairing, healing), niacinamide (whitening, lightening, anti-aging, rejuvenating, anti-wrinkle) and sodium hyaluronate (anti-aging, anti-wrinkle, hydrating, moisturizing, healing). This mask retails for between $4-6 USD, you can get 4 pieces here for $12.99 + shipping.
Ingredients
Water, Glycerin, Dipropylene Glycol, Niacinamide, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, 1,2-Hexanediol, Glyceryl Stearate, Hydroxyacetophenone, Polyglyceryl-3 Methylglucose Distearate, Sorbitan Sesquioleate, Palmitic Acid, Stearic Acid, Arginine, Carbomer, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Angelica Gigas Extract, Cornus Officinalis Fruit Extract, Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate, Ethylhexylglycerin, Thymus Vulgaris (Thyme) Extract, Velvet Extract, Adenosine, Sodium Hyaluronate, Disodium EDTA, Fragrance, Codonopsis Lanceolata Root Extract, Royal Jelly Extract, Myristic Acid, Arachidic Acid, Lauric Acid
Tumblr media
This mask contains 30 grams (1.05 oz) and does have an herbal artificial fragrance. Also, due to it containing velvet extract, this product is not vegan.
Tumblr media
The sheet mask is a 3D air mesh fiber mask designed to fit well and have optimal adherence to the skin. The fit of the mask is really great and I had no real need to adjust it.
Recommended use is after washing your face, use a toner to prep the skin. Align the mask to your eyes, nose, and, mouth. Remove the mask after 10-20 minutes. Gently tap the skin to help the absorption of the remaining essence. This mask is not vegan and contains fragrance. After using, I haven't been this impressed with a Missha mask for quite some time, normally they are a little uncomfortable but this one is very nice quality and very comfortable. There is a very noticeable herbal type of fragrance which I feel is common in products like this. It's very ginseng-y smelling. This could definitely be irritating to the skin but I found it suitable for my sensitive skin and very gentle. There's lots of essence and the quality of the essence is very good and plumps, hydrates, and nourishes the skin. The ingredients are very enriching and apart from the fragrance there are no irritants. I'd recommend this to anyone with dry and aging skin, but it can be used on sensitive skin in my opinion, but always patch test first.
What I like: this mask is really nice quality and the material of the mask is fantastic, extremely soft, and adheres very well to the skin. The ingredients are fantastic and it's a very moisturizing and nourishing mask. What I don't like: I don't mind the scent, but unfortunately, this added artificial fragrance can be an irritant.
Pros:
Nourishing
Moisturizing
Hydrating
Soothing
Plumping
Wonderful mask material
No major irritants apart from the fragrance
Cons:
Fragrance
Not vegan friendly
Would I buy again?
Yes
Rating: 9/10

Benefits of Face Masks Or Mask Sheets
Paper Facial Mask benefits
Face Mask benefits It’s surprising people in the US dont know much about paper facial masks or mask sheets. Everyone is accustomed to either homemade recipes or buying the gunky ones in store and smearing on their face. However, life is so much easier and convenient with paper facial masks. Let me introduce the many benefits and conveniences of a paper facial mask.
What is a Paper Face Mask Pack? There are several types of face masks: creamy facial masks usually purchased in tubes or containers, peel off facial masks and paper face masks also known as mask sheets. But what about the paper based face masks?
A paper face mask is a soft piece of paper or tissue cut in the form of a mask soaked in different types of nutrients and ingredients.
There is a mask for many different types of desired skin care effects with a special ingredient for each one. e.g. there are seaweed masks, lemon, fruit or plant extracts, such as cactus, cucumber, aloe, herb, red ginseng and the list goes on.
These face mask packs can be used by both men and women. Face masks are applied after you wash your face and left on for a duration of 15-20 minutes.
Paper Face Mask Function? Each facial mask also has a unique purpose. Some are made for deep cleansing, cleaning the pores, hydration, firming, nourishing, anti-aging, whitening, soothing an exhausted face and more. For example, a Collagen facial mask will have revitalize skin. It will heighten your skin to maintain moisture in a short amount of time for dehydrated skin that is tired, burnt and exhausted from UV rays.
Benefits General vs Mask Sheet
Convenience – No mess no fuss. Apply within 20 secs. Take it with you on your trips or apply it on your flight. Highly effective – Immediate difference after use. Users testify that high quality face masks were better than a $90 facial. If you treasured this article so you would like to acquire more info concerning FFP2 mask company nicely visit our internet site.
Organic ingredients – Natural skin care that energizes and detoxifies our face skin. Perfect budget – Great prices starting from $2 and up. Easy to carry – Very light and in a sealed packet. Easy to carry around during vacation. Special occasions – Use the night before or on the morning of a special occasion such as a wedding, party or conference. No need to book at a spa and spend time traveling and waiting. Great makeup absorption – Applying make up after the use of a face mask maximizes the absorption of makeup. Leads to smooth and shiny skin.

I went according to your recommendation and ordered the bha and omega moisturizer from Paula’s! I just got them so I’m super excited!!! Thank you so much for taking the time out for that ❤️. For the sheet mask ask if you’d like: Shea butter, red ginseng, and cucumber!
AH I'M SO GLAD!! i hope you love them!! thank you for taking my advice, i’ll cry rn
shea butter: what's a song that gets stuck in your head that you despise?
ugh bad guy by billie eilish. i like her music but i cannot deal with that song. i can’t do it anymore. i'm TIRED.
red ginseng: do you think you'll still be the same person when you're old?
i feel like my personality changes every 2 seconds like i was a different person when i began answering this ask dfjhgfjkg HOWEVER, fundamentally, yes i do think i’ll still be the same person
cucumber: what’s your favorite cheesy pick-up line? would you ever use it on someone?
i answered this but when i was in calculus my first year of college, the guy who sat next to me would use a different pick up line on me everyday because he knew i thought they were hilarious and the first one he used was “are you a parking ticket? because you have fine written all over you” so that will always be one of my favorite ones because it started a very weird friendship djhfgfkg

WHAT'S INSIDE THIS MYSTERIOUS PINK BOX FROM COSRX?
Tumblr media
I'm so happy because this is the first time I won a giveaway! COSRX Indonesia has a weekly program called RXFX Class through Instagram live along with the "Spot the COSRX Product" giveaway. I didn't expect much to win because there were so many who joined the giveaway, but apparently I saw my name as one of the winners!
They gave me One Step Original Clear Kit, One Step Moisture Up Kit, Acne Pimple Master Patch, and a tote bag.
Tumblr media
This time I'm gonna share my thoughts on One Step Moisture Up Kit, since I have already reviewed the One Step Original Clear Pad
Tumblr media
The One Step Moisture Up Kit is truly a perfect travel companion. It is also great for those who want to try the products before buying the full size. This kit consists of 3 essential steps: cleanser, toner, and sheet mask.
Step 1: Low pH Good Morning Gel Cleanser
Step 2: One Step Moisture Up Pad
Step 3: Holy Moly Snail Mask
1. Low pH Good Morning Gel Cleanser
8/10
"This gentle cleanser does not irritate the skin, but it definitely does its job in removing all impurities from the skin"
Unlike other cleansers I've tried that can make the skin drier, this cleanser provides enough moisture and I don't even feel the need to rush to use toner afterwards! After using this, my skin feels more supple. No wonder this cleanser has a good reputation and is labeled as a gentle cleanser. It has tea tree oil, making it suitable for acne prone skin.
However, compared to COSRX Salicylic Acid Daily Gentle Cleanser, this low pH cleanser feels less refreshing. I'm not a fan of the smell either, but it doesn't really bother me so it's okay.
Ingredients:
Water, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Sodium Lauroyl Methyl Isethionate, Polysorbate 20, Styrax Japonicus Branch/Fruit/Leaf Extract, Butylene Glycol, Saccharomyces Ferment, Cryptomeria Japonica Leaf Extract, Nelumbo Nucifera Leaf Extract, Pinus Palustris Leaf Extract, Ulmus Davidiana Root Extract, Oenothera Biennis (Evening Primrose) Flower Extract, Pueraria Lobata Root Extract, Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Leaf Oil, Allantoin, Caprylyl Glycol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Betaine Salicylate, Citric Acid, Ethyl Hexanediol, 1,2-Hexanediol, Trisodium Ethylenediamine Disuccinate, Sodium Benzoate, Disodium EDTA
2. One Step Moisture Up Pad
8,5/10
"Formulated with propolis extract and hyaluronic acid, these daily pads pre-soaked in essence replenish moisture, leaving the skin smooth and comfortable"
This toner is extremely moisturizing! The result is similar to using a sheet mask, which makes the skin more supple, moisturized, radiant, and hydrated.
I have been using the One Step Original Clear Pad every night for several weeks so I can compare these two best-selling products. In my opinion, this One Step Moisture Up Pad has much smoother pads, making it safe for sensitive skin. It also has more essence (often dripping!) , so it's also suitable for dry skin😊
Ingredients:
Propolis Extract, Butylene Glycol, Glycerin, Betaine, Cetearyl Olivate, Sorbitan Olivate, 1,2-Hexanediol, Betaine Salicylate, Panthenol, Allantoin, Hydroxyethyl Acrylate/Sodium Acryloyldimethyl Taurate Copolymer, Sodium Hyaluronate, Ethylhexylglycerin, Sodium Hydroxide, Xanthan Gum, Citrus Limon (Lemon) Peel Oil, Citrus Aurantium Bergamia (Bergamot) Fruit Oil
3. Holy Moly Snail Mask
8,5/10
The COSRX Holy Moly Snail Mask claims to plump, refine troubled skin, help treat acne, minimize scarring, firm and improve elasticity. The first two ingredients are red ginseng water and snail secretion filtrate.
Unlike other sheet masks, this mask has no fragrance. The sheet is thick, peach-colored, has quite a lot of essence and is sticky, considering the snail secretion filtrate as one of the main ingredients. The essence took a while to absorb, but the next morning I woke up with a more supple and radiant skin!
Ingredients:
Red Ginseng Water, Snail Secretion Filtrate, Methylpropanediol, Butylene Glycol, Glycerin, 1,2-Hexanediol, Allantoin, Hydroxyethyl Acrylate/Sodium Acryloyldimethyl Taurate Copolymer, Sodium Polyacrylate, Sodium Hyaluronate, Carbomer, Arginine, Ethylhexylglycerin, Phenoxyethanol

How did you feel about the face masks you just posted? And can we get an updated "top shelf" please?
You can. Warning: your use of the term “top shelf” made me take this very seriously.
In the morning I cleanse with Superfacialist Vitamin C Cleansing Oil (inexpensive and does the job as a morning cleanse or evening first cleanse) and wash it off with a flannel. My favourites are the Aurelia Muslin cloths as they’re soft with no texture, and so not abrasive against my skin which is pale and so prone to redness. Then I apply Pixi Glow Tonic to everywhere but my cheeks (again, to avoid redness) with non-sterile gauze pads - a recent life changing discovery that means less product is absorbed into the pad and therefore wasted, and more of it ends up on my skin. A spritz of La Roche Posay’s Serozinc once that’s soaked in. My current morning serum is The Ordinary’s Niacinamide, which I’ve found is best used on its own or it seems to create some piling for me. My summer moisturiser, and maybe favourite moisturiser of all time, is the Bio Essence Hydra Tri-Action Aqua Sleeping Mask (which needs renaming, and might have been discontinued…) which is technically a mask, but can be used as a gel moisturiser that I find absorbs and sits nicely under the most important skincare product: SPF. Reigning supreme as the best SPF I’ve ever found is Biore’s UV Aqua Rich Watery Essence SPF50+. It applies like a gel, sinks straight in, no white cast. It is a chemical SPF though, and so I find if I’m not making sure I’m hydrated it can be irritating, but making that extra effort with a good moisturiser is worth it for the easy application.
In the evening I remove my eye make up and lipstick with Bioderma. An unnecessary step, but I can’t get used to the idea of putting oil cleanser that close to my eyes and lips. I then first cleanse with the Superfacialist Oil from the morning, and second cleanse with Emma Hardie’s Moringa Cleansing Balm, an experience that no matter how bad my day has been always makes everything right again. I follow that with either The Ordinary’s Salicylic Acid, which I’m currently testing after finishing off Paula’s Choice’s version, or a new instant all time favourite product: Biologique Recherche’s P50. I finally caved and brought it for myself for my birthday, and I didn’t want to believe the hype, but I do. Within a week the difference is noticeable. Again, non-sterile gauze pads, then a spritz of rose water once it’s soaked in. Evening serums are either The Ordinary’s Azelaic Acid, usually every other day to keep mild rosacea invisible, Sunday Riley’s Good Genes if I know the following day might be one in which I want to feel particularly glowy (though I’m running out, and I’m not sure I’ll repurchase), or The Ordinary’s Retinol 0.5% in Squalene twice a week (I turned 26, it’s time to start retinols), always finished off with Indeed Labs’ Hydraluron. I’ve found it to be the best formulation of hyaluronic acid at the lower price point, and it never pils no matter what it is put on top of. Evening moisturiser is a little stronger, currently Weleda’s Skin Food, but I tend to switch between that and Embroylisse’s Lait-Creme Concentre each time I finish a tube.
I’m only just starting to really explore masks. The Inkey List’s Kaolin Clay is a basic but functional clay mask that’s not too drying, but I haven’t got into the habit of reaching for it regularly. The Verso Deep Hydration Mask was a free gift and, though it certainly was hydrating, I don’t think I’d buy it. It’s not worth the price and has the same effect as a thick layer of the Bio Essence mask. Omorovicza’s Acid Fix is a similar free gift story: it’s a nice a treat, but the effect is not any better than other acids considering the price. But, I’m love with Skinfood’s Ginseng Sheet Masks, and have re-brought them several times now. I need to read up on the ingredients because whatever it is, it’s extremely hydrating and soothing.
Makeup is still kept simple: Tom Ford’s pen eyeliner, which will have to be pried from my cold dead hands. It’s worth every penny, and is probably my ‘desert island’ product. Chanel’s Inimitable mascara (non-waterproof, the waterproof formula doesn’t work for me) is still my favourite for my top lashes only, otherwise I look like a porcelain doll (in a bad way). Lush’s Honey Lip Scrub and either Glossier’s Balm Dotcom or Dior’s Crème de Rose - thankfully no longer discontinued - have always won the the war against chapped lips for me. Current red lipsticks on rotation: Mac’s Russian Red (a classic), Too Faced’s Drop Dead Red (for when I want to say to the world: leave me alone), and Lisa Eldridge’s Velvet Jazz (the luxury choice), all over the top of a lip pencil so they last all day.
For hair, it used to have a natural curl until I lost most of it during the peak of my ill health a few years ago, so now I have to do manually. Bumble & Bumble’s Invisible Oil Heat Primer is the only heat protectant I’ve found that doesn’t smell horrendously ‘chemically’, and has the added smoothing-shining benefit of being an oil. Kerastase’s Elixir Ultime shampoo has the full credit of helping to grow my hair back strong and healthy, but Davines’ OI is currently proving to be good competition. Body: I used to have terrible keratosis pilaris on my arms growing up, but that’s kept under control by a scrub (currently Caudalie’s Crushed Cabernet, though it seems to have been discontinued), a mix of copious acids (most effective found to be: The Ordinary’s Salicylic Acid or AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peel, and Alpha-H’s Liquid Gold), and a moisturiser to handle the redness that creates. The current favourite is The Body Shop’s Aloe Butter, because it smells of nothing, allowing the full effect of Byredo’s Bibliothèque perfume.
