one of my red flags is that I see 3-4 characters that just so happen to have the same color codes as a different set of color codes and now when I see that color code in public I have to decide which set of characters I'm going to joke about.

'Escape : My Cold Heart'

Pairing. Nishimura riki x fem!reader

Genre. Childhood friends to lovers, fluff, angst

Synopsis. You thought you could be with Riki forever, until one day changed everything. Years later, his absence didn't stop you from witnessing your dream, although he promised he'd be there with you.

A/n: I thought of this after I found out there was a comet called Nishimura which was recently discovered omg TT. Anyways I hope you like it!<3

“Run!” you heard from a distance. “Faster!”

You ran along the fields of grass and the wall of mountains, under the blanket of stars above. You ran along the never ending path towards your one desire. So far but so close, the collection of dust and ice, running beside earth to find a place to land- a place to call… ‘home’.

“Times up!” your coach announced for the 4th time, the only time you heard.

Snap.

Your feet stopped. You looked down at the paved ground with painted, yellow lines. You lifted your heavy head up, to see the disappointing view of beige colored concrete walls around you, followed by students dressed in their P.E wear, including you.

You made your way to your previous position, having no improvement from the last time. You sighed, looking down at your worn out sport shoes, which were gold to you.

'Escape is what I need' you thought to yourself.

You heard the last bell ring, and went straight to your best friend, Heather. You took her by the hand, walking out of school with her. You stopped on the nearest pavement bench and sat her down.

"Heather, I need a favor," you said.

You would never be the one to ask for help. You would always fend for yourself, and laugh at the word, 'dependent'. There was not an ounce of mischief in your face- making Heather know that you said this with all seriousness.

"Tell me"

She trusted you, at all costs.

You walked down the busy streets of Tokyo, ears filled by the sounds of the honking of vehicles, the sweeping of leaves and the never ending talks of society. You wished you were in a movie. Where the main character would walk along the peaceful roads, admiring the beautiful red leaves falling from trees, which paved the way for him/ her. You sighed.

'Escape is what I need' you thought to yourself.

You took out the spare key in your pocket, opening the door.

"I'm home" you announced.

Your mother greeted you with a hug, and that's when you performed step 1.

"Mom" you looked up at her.

"Hm?"

"Heather invited me for a sleepover, can I go?"

With 15 minutes worth of interrogation, she finally allowed you. 

You entered your small room, opening your cupboard and taking out a till. It had been five years since it was filled with a single penny, and now it was up to the brim. You took the hammer which you stole from your brother (it was lying around), and broke it open.

You gasped. You had never seen this much money in your life, ever. You spread it out, looking for the one.

There it was. The penny where it all started. There was a note taped on it, saying, 'I hope we get there, make it happen for us'. You softly smiled, reading the note which he wrote to you, five years ago, before he left.

You collected the money, emptying it into a polythene bag and putting it deep down into your backpack. You packed up all the necessary items for traveling, including the hopefully not expired snacks you kept hidden in your drawers.

You got out of the taxi, your backpack hanging on one shoulder. You looked up at the beautiful, huge house in front of you. It was almost three times bigger than yours.

"Have a great time, honey. Be careful when coming back home, I have work so can't pick you up" your mother said, closing the door of the car.

You watched as the vehicle slowly disappeared. You rang the bell, and soon saw the door open, with the familiar face smiling at you.

"Hey y/n!" She greeted you.

"Hey"

She smiled.

"Well-"

"Here you go" she handed over a larger than usual lunchbox, wrapped up in a checked cloth with spoons and chopsticks attached. You were about to hug her, but got interrupted by the weird material which you felt under the lunchbox. You turned it over, to see an envelope. You opened it, finding money inside.

You smiled lovingly, tears rolling down your cheeks as you stepped forward to hug her.

"Thank you, Heather. Thank you so much" you said, your voice muffled with all the sobbing. She hummed, patting your back.

She parted the hug, caressing your shoulders.

"Be safe, okay?" She said, giving you a sad smile. "Call me if anything's wrong"

"Hm" You replied, watching her step behind, closing her front door, mouthing a silent 'bye' with a wave.

You had calculated all the expenses carefully, leaving enough money to buy a seat in the 'third class - reserved' section.

You sat yourself down on an empty bench, sighing. You looked at your watch. '5 minutes more' you said to yourself.

You felt something brushing on your leg. You bent down, spotting a ginger colored cat with sparkling eyes, just like his. You carried it and placed it next to you. The cat meowed at you, rubbing its nose on your fingers which reached out at it. You smiled.

"I'll name you… Riki" you said softly, patting its head.

Soon enough, the train arrived. You took a deep breath as you got onto the carriage, and took your seat. You reached out to your pockets, taking out the penny. You caressed it with your thumb, smiling at the words written on it.

"Hello," the girl who was sitting next to you, said.

You smiled. "Hi"

"What's your name?" She asked.

"Y/n, yours?"

"Suki," she smiled brightly. "Where are you headed?"

(5 years ago)

"Hey y/n! C'mere!" He called you.

"What's up?" You asked him, sitting cross- legged beside him on the ground.

He took out an empty till, and placed it in front of you both.

"Let's collect. Let's start collecting so that, five years from now, on September 4th, we can come here and witness the comet, together" he said.

You smiled, and nodded in agreement.

He took out a penny from his pocket, along with a pen and a tiny notebook. He wrote something down, tore the page and pasted it on the penny. He refused to show you. So for five years, you didn't know what he had written.

"Show me!"

"Never!"

You started chasing him. You chased him along the same fields of grass and wall of mountains, the sounds of both of your laughter filling your ears.

He ran back to the till and inserted the coin.

"No!" You screamed, tripping on his foot and falling sideways on his stomach.

He groaned in pain.

You both started laughing uncontrollably in each other's hold, feeling warm- and safe.

You took a breath after laughing, moving yourself to rest on his stretched out arm. He turned, smiling at you. You looked into his eyes- but they looked somewhat… sad.

"What's wrong?" You asked.

He hummed. "I'll tell you later, when we get back home" he replied.

And so he did tell you once you got back home- that he was leaving. He refused to tell you why, but he promised that he'd make a better version of himself, for you. He didn't say when, but he'd come back.

(The present)

You felt a pat on your shoulder, making your head shoot up.

"Excuse me? Your stop is in about 15 minutes" Suki informed you.

"O- oh. Thank you" you smiled.

3.30 a.m. 

30 minutes more.

You grabbed your backpack, an extra bottle of water, an extra jacket, your phone, and walked out of the tiny room which you rented for the night.

You walked along the empty road, with only a few street lights here and there which guided you. Your hands shivered, for the coldness of the deep night.

Your footsteps were the only sounds you could hear, along with your now pounding heart. You would be lying if you said you weren’t scared. The main characters in movies did it so easily, without an inch of fear in them.

You switched on the torch of your phone, because you were no longer on the streets. You were now far away from the place you stayed at, but you came this far for what? To turn back? Certainly not.

You spotted the small, rocky road to the fields of your childhood, and started following it.

Your feet stopped. Not because you reached the place, but because you could see the outline of a person- a rather tall person.

You took a step behind, but realized that there was no use- the person would've already known you were there, because you were the only source of artificial light. But why didn't he turn to look at you? Why was he looking up? Was he here to see the comet too?

You raised the torch to his face, feeling a hint of bravery. He turned to your direction, covering his face with his hand because of the light.

'Wait… could it be…?'

"R- Riki? You asked. "I- is that you?"

You moved the light from his face, and he moved his hand away. He smiled softly. You dropped your phone on the soft ground, your hands and legs now trembling.

Your legs moved faster than your brain.

‘What are you doing?’ you asked yourself as you ran towards him, on the very same field of grass.

Soon you were in his grasp, his warmth taking over your body as he wrapped his arms tightly around you. You buried your head in his chest, sobbing softly. He caressed your hair, whispering tiny shh's into your ear, in hopes of comforting you.

You didn't want to let go of him, afraid that he'd leave you, forever.

"Y/n…" he said.

You were shocked at his voice. He wasn't the kid he was before, he had grown, and you felt a sense of pride in that. You looked up at his moonlit face, sinking into his black hole eyes.

"Y/n, I'm sorry. I'm sorry for not being there. I'm sorry for taking so long. But I've found a new me. A me that's ready to take care of you, and cherish you with all my heart. A me that will give you all the love you deserve and more. A me that would spend every cent on you- who would die for you, and kill for you" he spilled out.

"Y/n, please love me" he pleaded. He looked into your eyes so desperately, that even a stranger would say yes.

You smiled, nodding your head. Tears refused to stop rolling down your cheeks and you held him in your arms.

He brought his hands from your back to your jaws, holding them delicately. He pressed his soft lips on your forehead, your skin tingling at his touch.

You looked at him, admiring his every detail, until-

"Riki, look," you said, calmly.

You both looked up at the comet running past earth. It lightened up the whole sky with its vibrant colors. It was ethereal, beautiful, gorgeous- and every other synonym to describe heaven.

He lay himself down on the cold, wet grass, pulling you down with him. You rested your head on his stretched out arm, looking up at the sight above.

"It's beautiful," you whispered.

He hummed. "Like you,"

And just like that, he thawed your once cold heart again.

yOU SAW FUN HOME (and the color purple) ON BROADWAY??????????????

i. almost saw fun home. but. i was with my dad. my homophobic dad. and i was in nyc during pride month. he would not have liked fun home lol bUT YOU SAW FUN HOME I AM SO JEALOUS OMG

YES!!! i’m from massachusetts and went to school in WESTERN massachusetts which is only about a 3 hour drive from nyc. my friends and i would take day trips all the time. we did lotteries and rush tickets n stuff so we would see random stuff as well as try to see specific shows! it is pretty much the only thing i care about doing when i visit nyc (i am a theatre kid)

that weekend i went w a non-school theatre friend and we specifically took a bus that got us to nyc a couple hours before the color purple box office opened, and we got rush tickets for the matinee! i saw cynthia erivo (my hero and the only person i cared about seeing that whole weekend), heather hadley (!!!!!!!!!), and danielle mf brooks. we entered a bunch of lotteries for the evening shows and my friend won discounted tickets to fun home so we did that! and then took a late bus home that night lol

i’m actually going back in a few weeks to hopefully see funny girl and into the woods. one of my friends from college is playing little red right now, she was also in groundhog day which is also fun bc andy karl starred in that and he’s one of the princes in into the woods right now! (AND he was in the legally blonde original broadway cast which is ALSO fun also bc my little red friend was the director when i did legally blonde in college lol)

Summary: You are working for the Crüe as a make up artist. There is an upcoming wedding...

"Hold still, damnit!" You murmured trying to finish Vince's makeup just before the concert.

"Oh, come on, (Y/N)! Hurry up!" He pouted closing his eyes to let you do your job.

"If I hurry you won't be pretty."

"There is no such thing as me not being pretty."

"Sure." You said drawing back and looking at him, admiring the make-up you did. Though you didn't understand why you had to make Vinnie look like a girl and put on him pink colors. He stood up and looked in the mirror to see himself.

"Cool. Thanks (Y/N)!" He yelled while leaving the area. Working with them consumed most of your time, but it didn't bother. Even if they were sometimes pain in the ass they were all kind and funny. They treated you well, they never hurt you. You have been working for them since the 'Bark at the moon' tour with Ozzy.

"Break legs!" You yelled back looking at the mess on the table. Makeup everywhere including on your hand and shirt. Since you were ready with all of them you decided to change clothes. You quickly took off your shirt to change it to a cleaner one.

Mick was walking in the hallway already in his costume. He wanted to ask you to adjust his makeup due to the clothing had ruined it a bit. He opened the door and gasped seeing you there without a shirt. When you heard the door cracking you gasped. You looked at him with a red face covering yourself with your tee.

"Omg, I'm so sorry." He blushed and quickly closed the door back, standing in the corridor with his back facing the door. He covered his mouth with a hand. You were embarrassed, standing in the room now with your shirt on. You and Mick were kinda okay, you hardly had any fights. The others were always flirting with you even though you had a crush on Mick. And he, seeing you like this just made your heart pound fast. Mick was about to leave when you opened the door for him.

"Look, (Y/N), I didn't know. I'm sorry. I didn't see a lot, I promise." Mick said wishing he could see more.

"No problem, I should've locked the door. What's up? Is there a problem?" You asked putting your hands in your pocket to hide your still shaking hands.

"Umm, I think my costume ruined my face a bit. Can you fix it, please?" You nodded and invited him in. He sat down so you could see the damage.

"A minute and you will be ready to kick some ass." You said while taking the brush in your hand. You managed to relax but being this close to him. You could feel his breath and smell his scent. Mick also had some problems...Your light touch on his face and everything about you. "Done." You announced and put the brush back to its place. Mick leaned closer to the mirror to see your perfect work.

"Now it's perfect. Thanks. And sorry about earlier." He rubbed the back of his head.

"Chill. Nothing happened." You said it rather to yourself. "Anyway, here is your shirt." He picked it up from the floor you dropped it earlier. He tossed it to you and you caught it easily.

Nikki, Vince, and Tommy were standing in the corner and were leaning on the door to hear what you were doing in there.

"Shirt, huh?" Vince grinned. "I told you something was up between them."

"Are you sure, Vinnie? We just only heard the word shirt. It could mean anything."

"I hope they are together. They would look cute." Tommy said smiling. Vince turned to him raising one of his eyebrows.

"They don't look cute. And I can't believe she chose Mick over me. She can be with me or anyone else, but not that old man." Vince put his head closer to the door when Mick opened the door and they all fell on Mick and you.

"What the fuck, man?" You cursed rubbing your head. Mick was laying on the top of you and the boys on your leg.

"Nice sock!" Vince said earning a kick in his arm from you.

"Get off me! And what were you all doing?" You asked still under the weight of the guitarist. He supported himself on his elbows not to press you any more. He was facing you. You cleared your throat and he rolled over. You stood up and crossed your arms.

"We were...we were just..." Nikki said looking at Tommy to help him out.

"We made sure that all the doors were soundproof so we can also fuck groupies back here after the concert," Vince said being proud of himself.

"Yeah, of course. Sounds believable." You hummed.

"There you are. Guys, it's time to go!" Doc yelled pointing at his watch. After the band and Doc left the room except for Mick, you sighed and sat down in the chair.

"(Y/N), I would like to apologize.." Mick started.

"Hey, it's not your fault." You said rubbing your wrist. It hurt a little bit is was nothing you couldn't handle.

"Did you hit your arm?" Mick noticed. He knew how it was being in pain.

"A bit. But I'm okay. Don't worry." You winked.

"Are you free tomorrow?" Mick asked finally gathering the courage after months. You blinked from the sudden question.

"What?" You asked maybe you didn't hear it properly.

"Do you want to have coffee tomorrow? I would like to make up the things that happened today."

"Yeah, sure. I mean, why not?" You mumbled still not believing Mick just asked a date from you. Well, it was a date, no?

"Great. See you tomorrow then." He headed towards the door before giving you a half-smile.

"I think I will stay until the concert goes down. So go and have fun." You smirked and followed him.

Next day

"Can I have a week off, Boss?" You asked Doc sitting in his temporary office. You showed him your wrist which was swollen and was covered with a bandage.

"That looks bad. But don't worry, Anna can do it for you."

"Thanks."

"And what happened?" He asked reading his papers.

"Well, it would be complicated to explain but in a nutshell, I fell on my wrist."

"Complicated to explain?" He glanced at you with a confused look.

"Mick fell on me." Doc's eyes widened. "No, it's not that. The boys fell on Mick and then on me."

"What?" He was in complete shock.

"Don't think any wrong. The boys were eavesdropping us but then Mick opened the door."

"Whatever." You could see that he didn't believe you. "Anything else?"

"I think I should go. And thanks, Doc!" You said before exiting the room. You felt embarrassed, but nothing wrong happened. The whole situation was odd.

"Nice job, idiots. You managed to ruin (Y/N)'s job." Mick snapped after seeing your hand.

"I'm sorry, (Y/N). It wasn't our intention." Tommy apologized.

"It's okay. Doc said that Anna will hop in until I recover so I didn't lose my job, I just got a week off." You said.

"Well, I'm glad you can rest a bit." Mick stated. Vince was narrowing his eye and was looking at you and Mick.

"Is everything alright, Vinnie?" You asked.

"No."

"Care to explain?"

"Nope." Your brows drew together. Then he left huffing. What the fuck was with him?

"Anyway, guys I have good news." Tommy cheered. "I proposed to Heather."

"Tommy, that's great. Congrats" You said hugging him.

"She is a great girl, T-Bone! Congratulations!" Nikki said patting the drummer's back.

"Thanks, guys. I still couldn't believe she said yes. Anyway, Sixx, you are my best man and you are all invited!" He yelled.

"What do you mean by all?" You asked.

"Why?" He asked confused.

"You mean that I'm invited, too?"

"Of course, you will do Heather's make up." You pouted. "Just kidding. It's not even a question, (Y/N)! Don't be stupid." He said giving you a big hug.

"Thanks, Tommy." You smiled. You didn't think he would invite you as well. You were just a makeup artist working for the band, after all. Not some musician or family.

You and Mick were sitting in a lovely café near the hotel. There was hardly anyone there so it was pretty quiet.

"Jimmy Hendrix or Angus Young?"

"Jimmy Hendrix. Not even a question." Mick said taking a sip from his coffee.

"But you have to admit Angus's riffs are pretty good, too."

"I didn't say that he isn't good."

"So how this guitar thing come to your life?" You asked wrapping your healthy hand around the hot cup.

"Well, when I was a child I got a guitar from Christmas with Mickey Mouse on it. Since then I couldn't separate myself from it. The guitar became an important part of me and vice versa."

"So that's were 'Mick' comes from?" You asked chuckling. He rolled his eyes but then his lips curved into a smile.

"Partly, yes. But don't tell those assholes. They would call me that from now on."

"Don't worry. Your secret is safe with me." You were looking at each other's eyes for a moment. Mick cleared his throat and you could see he was about to say something.

"Nice weather, right?" He asked. That's not the question you were thinking of.

"I like the rain." You said looking out of the window and watching all the drops running down the window. It was calming to be there, to drink coffee and have a nice talk with him. When you put down the cup you put your hand on your bandaged wrist.

"Does your wrist hurt?"

"No. And I have already told you not to worry about it." You sighed. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to be harsh like that.

"Can I ask something?" Mick felt his heart racing, he tried his best to calm down. You nodded and glanced at him waiting for the question. "Would you be my date? For Tommy's wedding." He bit his lip down.

How is it goin? My day started off really bad because my favorite necklace fell off this morning and I didn't realize it... until I got on the bus of course. Luckily, I stepped on it when I got off the bus and now I'm wearing it lol. I can't just get another necklace like that becuz I got it as a gift from my friend when he went to another country. Today in ecology, we went outside and collected grasshoppers for a lab and we found 2 grasshoppers on top of each other lmao. Anyways, I'm just throwing my hackysack up in the air cuz I'm bored as hell and it's a school night. Btw, I think I'm getting some kind of "signs" becuz everytime i look at the clock, it's either 3:33, 5:55, or 12:34. It's really freaking me out. But regardless, at 12:00 tonight, it will be Monday, September 13th, 2005 and the new Trapt cd will come out!!! Yeah I'm definitly gonna get that tomorrow. I'm also gonna go over to Sarah's house and get sick with her lol! She's feeling sick so chances are, I will get sick too, but I don't care. I actually like being sick in a way... you get more attention, you get lots of soup, you can stay home from school, parents do whatever you say! Ugh but then there is that damn cough syrup Robitussin stuff that tastes like kerosene mixed with antifreeze . Oh yeah, I saw the worst thing when I was driving with my dad a few days ago. A squirrel got ran over by a car, but it was squirming around before it died and blood was going everywhere. It was pretty sad. So does anyone have the newest Good Charlotte cd? I've been listening to that lately and it's pretty good. I like a bunch of the songs and I even put "Predictable" in my stereo thing. Yeah enough of the randomness....

     So on Friday, Sarah came over to my house and we went out to eat at O'Charley's and then we went to Pet Supplies Plus. The parrot was saying "hello" to us... at one point, I tried to make the parrot say "bitch" but it didnt work lol. After that, we hung out at my house and kinda watched Freddy Got Fingered.. wow thats a hilarious movie. Then on Saturday, I went to see The Exorcism of Emily Rose with Sarah and a few of the parts made me jump lol. Even though I knew something was gonna jump out. It wasn't that bad of a movie.. it was based on a true story too! After that, I went to visit my uncle in the hospital... he got ran over by a truck and now he is in a coma...  I couldn't even look at him, it was pretty bad... but eventually we left the hospital and got home. Then I went over to Sarah's and we watched the OSU vs. Texas game. On Sunday, me and Joe played hackysack and Kart for a while. After that, me and Sarah saw The Cave and it wasn't really that great, so I wouldn't recommend seein it. It was boring at a lot of parts... it reminded me of one of the many repeated movies that they show on the Sci-Fi channel. But it was still fun because I got to be with Sarah! I can always have fun around Sarah, even if were just sitting on a concrete sidewalk doing nothing.

    This part right here is for you Sarah, since it might seem like I never really take the time to say stuff... but even though I don't usually express my feelings through Xanga, yeah lol. SARAH YOU'RE AN AMAZING GIRLFRIEND AND I LOVE YOU!!! I don't know why it feels like I've known you for years, but I think its cuz I can talk to you about anything and everything... so you've become really close to me in such a short period of time.. 1 month and 8 days to be exact. You mean soo much to me, and I don't wanna lose you. I know I won't though because I totally trust you. You always know how to cheer me up, whether its in person, on the phone, through a text, or whatever else. Don't ever worry about losing me because the only way that would happen is if I died, or if you were to cheat on me or something like that (which you wouldn't lol). So I'm more likely to die than anything. But above anything, I love you soo much baby and don't EVER forget that!!!

    Alright well me and Sarah's 1 month was 2 days ago, how kool is that? We went to Mi Mexico II and hung out. Then yesterday we saw the Dukes of Hazzard and then went back to my house and watched Blue Streak (i love that movie) and then we walked over to Joe's house lol. After me and Sarah hung out, i went to Mejiers with Joe to buy his bro a b-day present. We chose a card out that said "a happy birthday to my favorite granddaughter" or sumthin lol.  And we got him Reese Sticks cuz he used to be obsessed with those lol. Btw i got a dvd called Freddy Got Fingered lol. That movie is hilarious cuz Tom Green is in it haha.

It's update time! Well I'll give a summary of my past few days. Sarah came back from New York on Sunday so we went to the fair for a while. It felt so good to see her again! We didn't go on any rides becuz they were kinda lame lol, but we walked around inside this building that had like everything in it. It was pretty neat becuz they had lots of random "products" on display. This one lady even offered to make rub Sarah's feet lol . And I got myself a pimped out plastic sheriff badge! Oh yeah!! Yeah the fair was fun tho. Then today was pretty boring during the day, but later on during the night, I went to Sarah's house for like 2 hours then we went to BW3's for a while. There were like 10 people there that I didn't know, but I still had fun. One kid even ate 12 hot wings in less than 5 minutes and he won a T-shirt lol. I ordered 8 boneless wings and I ate 1 really hot wing.. my lips still burn after 2 hours lol. And best of all, NBC 4 was there and supposedly were gonna be on TV later. I think they were there becuz of the smoking bans in restaurants. I was only TV one time before that lol... I did a commercial for the Bowling Palace when I was in 3rd grade and they gave me a damn mini chocolate bowling pin for all of that! I hope their business goes into bankruptcy! After BW3's we went to Kroger so all of the Kroger people could check their schedules and mess around in the finger condom/KY jelly/laxitive isle lol. Yeahh..

Anyways, I guess school is right around the corner and I gotta get school supplies! I even convinced my mom that I'm gonna need an iPod b4 school starts lol, so I might get one tomorrow with this $160 voucher I have. So it's been about 6 days since I last updated.. i think. Right now I'm just eating bagel bites, listening to music, and writing in this lol. This week is going so damn slow. Sarah has been in New York for a week already... and she gets back on Sunday. It sucks to wait for so long...I CANT WAIT ANY LONGER! I wanna see her so badly... but were gonna go to the fair on Sunday, which is the last day. It will be awesome, but I  hope it doesn't rain or something. I could've swore the fair was open until around the 20th.

Alright so basically I gotta get my temps renewed and then I can get my driver's license next month! After I take my tests of course. And I'm filling out an application for Pet Supplies Plus, yeahhh! I think it would be fun to work there.. i don't know why, but I really need a job. In fact, I went bowling yesterday and I didn't have enough cash so I had to count out a bunch of quarters to pay lol. It was pretty funny. Oh yeah, and I'm back in my workout routine so I'm not as bored anymore!

Ok.. STORY TIME!! Once upon a time, there were 3 kids... their names were Chris, Joe, and David. They got bored one day and decided to ride their bikes to Academy Park. They rode around on the dirt ramps for a while and then David had to go becuz he had work. Chris and Joe found a path shortly after that and followed it. While they were on the path, they spotted some hillybilly people swimming in the river . Their dog was with them and once the dog saw Chris and Joe, it got out of the water and jumped all over Chris with its muddy paws. Luckily, Chris and Joe escaped and continued on the path. Eventually, they ended up in a neighborhood and kept on going farther and farther until they reached Stygler Rd. They kept going until they saw a building that said "Huntington Banks". Then they realized that they were at the Huntington building in Easton! It took 2 hours for them to get that far so they decided to ride back home in amazement. On their ride home, they saw a girl who looked like Chubakah, so they really hurried home. They reached their own neighborhood in about 2 hours, but they were exhausted as hell so they went home. THE END!!

Ok well I made my xanga look a little kooler and I added about 5 songs to the stereo thing so CHECK THEM OUT!!! And I gotta go now so be sure to leave me some comments lol! Thx guys, cya later!

I'm updating this again, wow go me! Alright so basically the past two days have been pretty great. It all started yesterday night when I went to BW3's with David, Christina, and her friend Sarah. We just chilled there and had food... obviously lol. Then we rented Freddy Got Fingered and The Exorcist and went to Christina's house. Well, I liked Sarah ever since I first saw her and everything...she is really nice too! So then we all watched the movie lol. Freddy Got Fingered is one of the funniest movies ever omg, you guys gotta see it! Well we got half way thru the movie before we had to leave  So then we all gave our goodbyes, then David drove me back to my house. After that, we all joined a chat room cuz Sarah was sleeping over at Christina's house and we all wanted to talk. At 3:00, David snuck out and we were planning on riding my sister's electric scooter around the block just for fun lol. But it wouldnt start so we went pegging around the block a few times.

Ok well anyways, we planned to go to the pool around noon the next day, so I had to wake up at 10:00... I don't know how I pulled it off lol. Well since I havent been swimming in forever, I forgot about how small my swimming trunks would be... wow, they went up about half a foot above my kneecap lol. So I gotta buy new swimming trunks lmao... and we didnt go to the pool so we all went over to Christina's house again, ordered pizza and I got to see Sarah! And this time, I knew Sarah liked me back so I felt so much more comfortable around her. Ok we watched the rest of Freddy Got Fingered, then some of The Exorcist (omg that movie sucked), we watched like 1/10 of The Notebook, then some of Mean Girls. Stupid chick flicks lol! But it wasnt that bad at all. After Christina's house, I went to Hometown Buffet with David's family and ate lots of food. Then me, David, Sarah, Christina, Brice, Hilary, and Kris went to BW3's after that. I couldn't eat anything there tho lol cuz i was already full. Here I'll just list the random events that happened here becuz it would take me forever to explain all of them lol.... Brice stuck celery up his nose, sneezed it out, and ate it! We were bothered by a drunk nurse in the parking lot! We drove around the plaza while Kris hung on the back of the van while riding on a skateboard! Those are the main weird things that happened lol. Then after that, David dropped Hilary off and then he was gonna drop me off after that. By that time, I liked Sarah so much that I asked her out before I went inside. We got some TP and tried to get one of our friends, but are plans got spoiled thanks to the fuckin dogs lol. Ok but David was driving us down Sunbury Rd and he is barely going over the speed limit when he passes a cop car lol... then we look in the rearview mirror and we see the cops lights start flashing! Luckily the left and right lanes were separated by concrete things. So we turned into a street and parked and then everything was fine. Basically we just messed around outside all night. In the morning around 10, we went to Krogers and got some waffles and whipped cream... has anyone had blueberry waffles w/ whipped cream? It's pretty good.

Friday sucked ass lol cuz my dad was moving and I had to help him move everything into a U-Haul truck and then take it to the new apartment. It wasn't hard at all, but I did it from 10:00 to 3:00 without eating anything. AND it was so damn boring. It was kinda funny though cuz my dad told me to watch my step while I was putting the coach in the truck and he hit his head on the top of the truck like 5 seconds later lol. And today, I fell asleep during the day!! And right when I fell asleep... my dad came over and woke me up and said "I need you to help me move some more things" blahh blah blah.. thats the worst way to wake up lol.

Yeah I made another mix cd with lots of kool songs including this techno remix to Yeah which is SO AWESOME!!! It has so much bass that you gotta hold on to the handles on the car just to sit still. If I ever find out how to upload music, then I'll put it on my xanga but I dont know how. PLEASE tell me if you know how. Speaking of music, I've been listening to the old Fall Out Boy cd and it's really awesome so everyone should listen to it! I'm gonna get the new one soon.. yeah. Ok that should be enough for now! I fixed the damn comment thing so you can all send me comments again. I found out that the poll thing was causing the problem... I'll get it back eventually but not right now. Wow me and David just snuck out of the house and right when I walked out the door, we saw and heard the sirens of a cop car from behind 2 houses! It's bad enough that wre not allowed outside, but the cop car was speeding thru our neighborhood for some reason lol. Let's see... I'll talk a little about how things are goin now... well I started driving school 2 weeks ago and it's really boring. I have to go 2 days per week, 4 hours each day. Next week is my last week! Driver's ed isnt really that bad cuz I met some new peeps that I can talk to whenever. I went to Cedar Point again for 1 day too, this time it was for my dad's company picnic. Remember how Cedar Point was awesome for me last time? This time it was living hell lol. Hold on, lemme get my list of all the bad things... ok     

1) I had 2 hours of sleep... thats my own fault i guess lol.        

2) I had a headache that lasted from the night before thru the whole day.              

3) It decided to rain nonstop the WHOLE time we were there.           

4) The lines were packed to the edges so we didnt get to go on any rides at all.

5) The free food was disgusting.

6) We spent more time driving there and back than we spent in the park itself, so its basically a waste of time.

Lol thats mainly all. Wow I'm really lazy lol. That's why I wanna drive SOOO bad. And to kill some time and earn some money, I'm actually trying to get a job at Pet Supplies Plus!!!!!! Yes now doesnt that sound like a great place to work?? You get to move dog food and other things all day and its the only place hiring that is half decent lol. Well it's definitly 4 in the morning right now so I'm gonna get to bed. Me and Josh stayed up last night chilling so I'm really tired. Btw before I go, I have something for everyone who likes Trapt... theyre coming out with a new cd in September and they released 1 main song... its awesome and its called Stand Up. I tryed to find it EVERYWHERE, but the only place I can find it is http://www.trapt.com/ . You can listen to the song over and over if you stay on there. Yeah well with that, I'm out! I'm gonna take a new pic once I get my dad's camera too so that will be kool. Cya later everyone!!!

But remember... all of this is not to be told to anyone cuz it might cycle back to the victim. Ok well last night I'm just sitting on the computer listening to music and talking on AIM. Then David IMs me and tells me to meet him outside because Brian just got TPed. So I set everything up in the house to look like I'm asleep, grab the Cheezits, and then I sneak out. I walked down to Brian's house to see Brian and Joe in Joe's car. They told us that they found out who TPed him because they saw them drive away and yell something that obviously gave themselves away. Even though you need to be 18 to drive outside at 2:00, we got in Joe's car and decided to help Brian get revenge. We drove towards Kroger (I can't forget to mention the Rumpke truck that almost backed up into us. So we drove by him... Joe waved to him while I flicked him off lol). Once we were at Kroger, David and Brian ran inside and bought 48 rolls of TP. Ha you dont wanna know the excuse we had for buying all of that TP. Anyways, Joe drove to one of the kids houses (a kid that helped TP Brian) and we started throwing TP all over the trees and bushes. Me and David TPed the backyard while Joe and Brian TPed the front yard. Eventually, they came into the backyard and Brian was like, "Dude this isn't the right house... there isn't a basketball hoop in the front!" So were like damn...so we grabbed as much TP as possible from house and moved to the RIGHT house. That's where we seriously trashed the house up lol. We had a lot of spare TP so I even put some in their weeds. When we were done, it was like 3:15 and we weren't satisfied... so we got back in the car and drove to Meijer, and bought 48 more rolls of TP! By the way, the same kid who we TPed, called Brian's cell and asked him who the hell TPed his house. The kid got home right after we TPed him luckily lol... but Brian denied it anyways. Then we went to another kid's house and got ready to TP him. But thats when we noticed that the gas tank was empty...so we drove away and barely made it to a gas station. Since no1 else was on the road at that time, Joe turns the wrong way and starts driving on the complete wrong side of the road... it was hilarious. But then we go back to the kids house with a 1/4 tank of gas. This kid's house had so many trees so it was perfect to TP. So we TPed his house pretty bad and left. It was about 4 by this time so we decided to go back home before it got any later. Joe dropped everyone off at their houses, but I went to Joe's house for a sec so I could help him get out of trouble if his parent's were awake. Yeah and we also woke Ryan up so we could say Hi to him. After that, I left and ran home to my house and snuck back inside... my damn cat was meowing up a storm while I was opening the door tho. Basically, we got revenge x2 on them lol. But we also made some more targets that we are going after soon lol... so WATCH OUT!! nah j/k we usually only get people who go after us first. I really don't feel like writing, but I'll end this off with a fact... if you think you aren't afraid of anything, then try driving in the car with Joe! He made some awesome illegal turns and used a turning lane to pass up a car! Me and Joe can both be wreckless once I get my driver's license lol... I seem to forget about the speed limit from time to time. It's funny tho. Ok well I'm gonna go drink some more limeade lol. That stuff is really good and its better than lemonade. It was sometimes difficult to know that his brother was angry. Happily, Huor put an end to all doubts by flinging himself on the hearthrug with a cry.

“Ha!” went the cry.

“Ha,” agreed Húrin. He set down his penknife, and after a little thought his pen. Huor was drawing moon-letters in the ashes. “I was right, you look better in blue. Did she make that for you?”—meaning the wreath around Huor’s neck.

“Yes, she was all posies today,” Huor said, slowly. He removed his hat, which had irises tucked in the chin-band, and set about abusing it. There were wildflowers clinging to his beard. “She could do nothing but pick flowers and plant them.”

“You’re not good for much.”

“If I’m not, I lay it at her door…” He caught Húrin’s eye and frowned, dogged by his own unfairness, and launched on a long explanation: her mother thought them young to wed; she wouldn’t say so, for respect of Húrin, but she thought it, and they were. And Rían said, yes, of course, and spent a day dismantling turf…

Húrin had heard as much before, though never, it was true, from Rían’s mother. Morwen behind the portiere had neither changed nor lost the limping rhythm of the loom; but she was listening, anyway, for he was listening.

He had married her the autumn after his father died, and he had been four years younger than Huor now, and lord of Dor-lómin. Neither he nor his young wife had parents to give warnings. “Why is Rían in haste?”

The tail of Huor’s braid lay coiled on his back from many heartsore shrugs. “I don’t know.”

So saying, he folded his hat in two and let it flop back to its proper shape. The brim stayed pinned beneath one palm, like a dog submitting to have its paw held. He had a tender way with hounds and birds, but Húrin thought this had made him rather proud; he could be impatient, not with the animals, but with beast-tamers less patient than he. At times he turned the same unkindness on himself: why can I not be gentle, and bring my blood to heel? And so on. Húrin understood better, now he was father to two children, one living. Still such stern sight had no place in his brother.

“Let us say that she loves you, and waiting’s a grief to her. I can just conceive of it. But you wait out of love for her which warns you to feign wisdom, like an old man. I see no harm in that. Shall I speak to Rían?”

“Showing me for a youth, unfit to court her?”

“Isn’t that the object?”

“Yes!” A glare. Huor looked afraid to laugh, as if it might do his lady dishonor; his lip did tremble. “She’s young,” he said to himself, “and it falls to me to practice wisdom, if she must be so brave.” Very soft, he said, “I think of them, and their ladies who made a game of the mountain’s face… from green to red, and sparkling with frost. For them it was never wrong to wait.”

“Never and never. I hope that in a hundred years, when we are dead, our enemy all crushed beneath our weight, they may descend and gaze around. A new untarnished land, with green things growing.” He smiled at Huor, saying to himself that the future wasn’t so far off: but their sunlight was less than this sunlight, and the white cities they might raise less gorgeous than this low-timbered hall. “Is that what you have in mind for Rían?”

“It sounds as if you’d have me marry.”

“Brother, I must thrust you from my house. All means else failing—”

“What would you do with me gone?” said Huor, seriously. Then: “I have her lute. I forgot it was still on my horse when I rode off, I’m afraid in a hurry.” If he heard Húrin’s hand strike his brow, he gave no sign of it, except to stiffen a little. “Will you bring it back to her? Tell Rían we have your blessing. It makes no matter, but maybe she’ll taste the bitter less.”

Through spread fingers, Húrin considered his poor inventory—more often abandoned than taken up—and the ink now drying on the reed.

Rían’s mother greeted him warmly and, after he spoke her fair, tasted her beer and let her exclaim over his handsome mule, directed him to the creek bottom that dipped between the homestead and the fields. If she had asked why he had come in place of a servant, he would have said, the men are dead of weariness from threshing-season, or if not from the harvest then the raids; I of all of them can best be spared. But she was circumspect in everything.

Rían sat in a ring of toppled cups, and she was writing something down. At the sight of her, stylus in hand, he felt a jolt of guilt, having thrown over his own clerk-work for a leisure-errand—although it was his business to pay calls to malcontents. With her back to a birch slenderer than her back—with knees drawn up, feet planted, and hair curling from its net—while her maid lay snoring on a bead-fringed sheepskin, she rather than he had the air of a lady holding court; but her head snapped up at his coming, and she stared straight ahead, and almost past him, so that he felt he headed a host. “At ease, cousin,” he tried. Then her eyes found his. She nodded and rose in a bow before he could prevent her, and smiled broadly when she left it, remembering her charm.

Pretty Rían, a child in long skirts; he could guess what his brother meant, that she had begun some work and not finished it yet.

“‘Mistress cousin,’” she quoted, and showed him where to set down the lute. “‘Lady sister.’ But name me sister, if we must choose degrees.”

“You’ve disowned Morwen?”

She was losing interest. “Why come tonight? Huor—”

“Huor is hale,” he said lightly, dismayed by her insistence. “I thought I had better return the thief’s spoils for him.”

“Ha! foes!” snapped the serving-girl, and rolled over; it was no serving-girl at all, but his kinswoman Aerin. She must have crept late from Indor’s house for a drinking party, although, as Húrin had cause to know, she was not much charmed by songs of old. She narrowed her eyes, shook the sandy hair from her face, tugged the veil from her hair, and thrust a plump finger at him: then lay back down, doubtless to gather strength. Not yet dusk, but in a sky like fallen clouds, the leaves on the bough had lost color, and patterned themselves after the fox’s gray beard; the gurgling from the creek should have drowned all frogs and nightjars, but that their singing carried, bounded higher on the stream. His daughter’s laughter never sounded louder than near water; but already he had forgotten the laws that made her life.

Because he had no better plan, he lay down beside Aerin, on his back. “But do I have a case to judge between you and sir thief?”

Rían knelt in the heather and said, “Please forgive me if I am churlish, which I must be, to have driven off everyone but Aerin.” (“Thank you!”) “I’ve had evil dreams.”

Húrin bit his tongue. “Of Huor?” he said after a time, trying to be grave, and to restrain the bitter feeling, so common since Lalaith, that all this was a waste; her terror like his cheer, poured out on stone, because neither of them knew what would come.

And she was right that it was wearisome and hurt to hold off from things which were needful; he was glad at some hour or another every day, but it was hard, to go from his house to his friends’, his house to his brother’s, from Dor-lómin to the fortress of the elves, and back again to make friends with his son.

“That’s strange,” he began. “Though I were the fondest of brothers, I couldn’t begrudge him to you. I wish you every happiness. When your mother consents, we will set a day in spring, when the trees vie with the flowers of the earth, and there are showers enough to dress the thatch with jewels. If it should snow, we’ll hold the dancing indoors, and burn the great hall down.”

Rían nodded. As he talked on she grew thoughtful: she tapped her stylus to the tablet, and said, “In my dream, you sit in a great chair.”

“There. I am presiding at the feast. Sador is carving me the very chair. If I seem grave, he has left me a long splinter.”

“I’ll marry Rían,” Aerin announced. “All the unwedded maids of Dor-lómin; I’ll marry them and keep them, when you ride off to war.” She spoke almost without moving her lips, her chest rising and falling in starts, her cold fair face impassive. “What do you say?”

Rían whispered something in her ear; Aerin convulsed in laughter. Húrin pretended to avert his eyes and said, “Now, tell me. Is there something my brother should know?”

“That I beg his pardon,” said Rían; “I am sorry for him. Every year he must fight, facing what I know nothing of, though he has you and God, my lord, bespeaking him. I think of him often—I hope he’s not too afraid. I don’t remember a moment of my journey here, from Ladros. So maybe it’s the same for him, that he goes to fight and doesn’t remember. I wish he were younger! Then indeed I could wait happily, while we would play at being children.” She bit her knuckle.

If he could only see all, from sea to sea, and rule over a land that answered him: he thought he would have ordered it better. That would have been best, to know that wherever his kin went, he could follow them in mind, and understand their passing. Here she was before him, and he strove to follow her. Did she think she wasn’t a child, or that the girl had died in the wastes, driven forth from her home? She sounded, it was true, older than her years, not like a woman grown but like a daughter of elves, clear-spoken before the milky eyes could see.

“He pities you as well,” Húrin said. He got up in a crouch, for the dew was creeping down his back, and he wished too to take her hands.

Rían gave him a glad mistrustful look: face red in the cheeks from talk of Huor, and teeth bared by her drawn-up lip. She put her hands on his, saying, “Feel how cold. I have drunk too much, even with Aerin here to warn me. If I sleep early, will I still have a headache tomorrow? Will you tell Huor not to expect me before noon? My turn to visit, but alas—”

“I’ll tell him.” He might have said, grandly: Don’t punish him too much for loving your mother, but she had nothing of the kind in view. Without knowing it she took a step back and another. She was drunk, and proud enough after her fashion, and had grown used to the new wealth of time, now that Huor was home; that she feared Huor’s death in war had little to do with how they spent their days together. She picked up the lute and put together a bare chord; she played just well enough to scaffold her towering voice. If he had had the sense to bring his harp, they might have made music together, although his mount would have been overburdened, and his knees ached from bending in the cold.

“You may as well escort me home,” Aerin said, standing more steadily, by leaning on his back. “If you have what you came for, lord?”

“Maybe,” he said. “Anyway I’m the better for having come; for it’s not every day I hear a song from Rían, bard of Dor-lómin.”

About equal? I think it probably works out to being more cereal than milk volume-wise, but it’s not like I measure it?

I mostly don’t use random things as bookmarks, actually. I’m very rarely reading more than one book at a time, and I’ve got a leather bookmark I’ve had for probably 20 years by now that’s what I always use. If I’m reading something else and that bookmark is in use already, then generally whatever envelope or receipt is closest.

5: are you self-conscious of your smile?

Not particularly, unless I’ve been eating spinach recently.

I don’t have plants (but I don’t think I’d name them if I did have them).

TALL SOCK LIFE IS BEST LIFE. Y’all, I recently acquired a pair of rainbow thigh-high socks and they’re fucking awesome. I love patterns on socks in general, though I confine myself to white-cotton-sock hell when I’m working out.

ALL OF THEM. OMG, pastry is the goddamn best.

I love pretty pens and office supplies in general, but I very rarely actually use them.

I haven’t bought a physical CD in YEARS. The most recent one was...probably one of Hank Green’s albums, and that would’ve been like 4 years ago. (Well, that’s the most recent on purpose one anyway. My ticket to Kesha’s tour this fall came with a copy of the album, so that’s the most recent CD I’ve *acquired*.)

Within Temptation’s “Aquarius” for my husband.

I think Heathers is the only one of those I haven’t seen, but I’ve only seen each of the others once, and I don’t think I was particularly impressed by any of them.

I honestly can’t remember the stupidest gift I’ve given (unless you count the cringe-worthy ones I gave to crushes in high school, but we’re not talking about those). And as for stupidest I’ve received, it wasn’t *intended* to be a stupid gift, but a year or two ago I was given a Loki dress for Christmas or something and LIKE SERIOUSLY, YOU HAVE MERCH FOR LITERALLY ALL THE AVENGERS AND YOU GIVE ME FUCKING LOKI?

I have 2 cats! Girlcat is a calico who’s a little over 8 years old; we basically got her as a wedding present (a bridesmaid’s cat had kittens the day before our wedding, and she was like “hey you want one?” and we were like YES KITTY). She’s mostly antisocial except when I’m sitting at my desk and she’ll tap me on the arm to ask me for pettings. Boycat is an orange tabby who was a rescue, so we don’t know exactly old he is, but we’ve had him for 3 years and at the time they estimated he was about 10. He has exactly 0 teeth and is the most talkative cat I’ve ever met.

79: what's one of the cutest things someone has ever done for you?

Back when we were dating, in high school, hubby gave me a rose at school. There was another one on my car’s windshield at the end of the day, and he was waiting with the rest of the dozen on my porch when I got home. I think that was Valentine’s Day? But it may have been asking-me-to-prom, I don’t actually remember.
