A thought comes to mind while playing Redout 2

Racing is a very space orcs thing to do, especially AG racing

For decades we've had competitions about people strapping themselves into highly-advanced and over-engineered vehicles designed for the express purpose of going as fast as possible, with the vehicles often being very expensive (F1 cars can cost $20-30 million), and a mistake can result in severe injury or even death

Now apply it to AG racing, where the vehicles - which can best be described as fighter jets with magnets/hoverpads/what-have you bolted to the bottom - have technology the likes of which would usually only be seen in military applications, have giant twisting tracks that likely cost billions to produce, and mistakes are even more dangerous.

And then imagine us having to explain to the aliens that people willingly put themselves into these potentially life-threatening situations for sport.
