This might just be me and I might get burned at the stake for this but

I hate, HATE HATE HATE when people explode Spud on sight, bully Pilby by buying like 100 snowballs just to throw at them, and punch Poob until they literally die

And then proceed to shower Unpleasant, Pest, and Gnarpy with all the flower petals

i do not understand people like that as an enjoyer of all the mentioned characters

I really don't like that Spive is getting alot of hate as of late, I understand it's not everyone's cup of tea but it gets overshadowed alot.

I feel like in a sense it's wrong to separate the two Sapphic characters who have been the only ones confirmed to have any sort of romantic attraction to eachother. And it sucks that to a point it's being somewhat blacklisted from those I hang around :(

I really like Spive as a ship, I know you can like multiple but it feels like it's being pushed out, and unwelcomed from alot of spaces.

i don’t like the fact people are suddenly doing a 180 on folly just because she’d be russian. yes what they are currently doing is horrible and should be stopped, but i don’t think being a certain race is immediately a bad thing?? like if a character was, say, southern, would you immediately assume by their race that they’re bad or troublesome? it’s just kinda edging onto racism territory for me idk

I can't help but believe that a lot of the regretevator community, or at least those who adore Gnarpy and will go as far as to RP tearing Spud's arms off as xem (YES SOMEONE DID DO THAT.), is sort of... ableist?

Spud is possibly the only explicitly disabled character. He's explicitly been hurt by Gnarpy. And yet he's also the most actively hated on Regretevator character. More hated on than UNPLEASANT, who I'm pretty sure is a joke NPC who's SUPPOSED to be hated. Unpleasant is apparently slotted to get merch, even, SPUD RANKED LOWER THAN UNPLEASANT. Hell, I'm pretty sure even Pest is more liked, which isn't a diss on Pest fans, it's just... weirdly surprising that the character who pickpockets you is liked more than the character who literally does nothing negative to you but arrives instead of Gnarpy sometimes. (I will admit Pest's interactions can be very funny, and that did endear me to him, but they DO cause mild detrimental effects.)

I'm not going to say EVERYONE hates Spud. My friends love him, and I was introduced to this blog through a Spud love ask. It's just that it feels like the overwhelming majority of the community hates him. Either because of Gnarpy, or because of a false "he's just not interesting."

It doesn't help that half the time, it genuinely feels like Regretevator is designed to hurt, maim, and kill Spud specifically. He's the only one you can actively purposefully kill; you don't see Bive spontaneously combusting if you shower her with too many petals, but she HATES those, and you don't see Prototype and Scag dying if you spray them too much, and they both repeatedly tell you to stop because it could hurt them. And there's ceiling spikes that, though this may be chance and just really unlucky, I think only or mostly appear when Spud is in the elevator and usually always stab him if he's present, or at the very least that's usually what happens. Plus, the tips ENCOURAGE you to explode Spud!!

TL;DR Spud deserves better.

I used to tickle my pickle to Regretevator

when I was about 13. I loved Regretevator. I had every item and played on every floor that grubby elevator could leave me on, one day I was playing Regretevator, and suddenly the hair lady on a coat came on the screen. All of a sudden, the hair lady turned me on. I couldn’t stand it. I was going crazy. I decided to pull out my big snake and start strangling it very hard. I have never felt so good in my life when I did it. I started doing it daily and never got bored of it. I NEVER got bored of it. I’m glad to admit I’m still doing this to this very day.
