Been thinking and playing around with some headcanons about the dwd boys physical body builts and I’m not sure if I can further elaborate on the reasons on why I am headcanoning them as such.

Maybe I can, but it’s because I kinda want to draw these interpretations sometime in the future?

Basically: I’m back with my “I get it, they are supposed to be tall, slender and bishonen marketable like-idols, but, also...” bs.

And, of course I start with my favorite blond demon, since this whole headcanon space thing wouldn’t have been possible... if it wasn’t for HIM ->

Mage - Actually a little more in the beefy side. Tall, but beefy, you know? I cannot really explain in words, but the guy is more or less a tank, physical force and all. And it would make sense considering what he normally wears (sleveless shirts, tank tops), and why his uniform jacket just doesn’t fit him.

We are also told that, while human food isn’t particularly “tastefully edible” for demons, we see he does enjoy (?) eating a whole roasted chicken, so, I MEAN, nutrients and calories for muscle building and energy, might be correct, right?

I have been struggling with what I think about the few official art in the past few years where sometimes anyone draws him more slenderish than he was supposed to be and I’m,,, confused, lol (weird built angles, I guess). I do know a particular (one of my faves, actually) fanartist DOES draw him with abs and with muscles (and I WOO those pics a LOT)... but I would personally like him more beefy... do you get my drift? (blame a certain werewolf that I cannot stop picturing Mage being a little beefy)

Rem - Slightly chubby, but average at best?. Not exactly slender, but also not certainly too chubby. I dunno how to explain it at full, like...  for one, I feel like it would fit him? It would show some air of wealthness and the negative connotations about pleasing his father in regards to his duties as the Arlond/Kaginuki’s “heir”.

He has a nice face, and he dresses nicely (the lesser about the shoulderpads, the better), so I don’t think anyone would notice much he isn’t 100% slender or fit-fit. But, I think this might be product of stress and anxiety (plus loneliness) after oh-so-many years of abuse and negligence where he doesn’t seem to think much about himself, but the ones around him. And I think, his older/present appearance might serve as a mirror to his and Urie’s complex friendship relationship, especially in regards to Urie... which, by the way...

Urie - Fit, “hot” and attractive to the average normal human masses. Certainly the same as per usual in official appearance. He likes to show off because he is an incubus, a seductive demon, after all (that bathsuit sprite still makes me laugh to this day, lmao). He is supposed to look what the average human might go for “attractive” and “hot”. 

In some way or form, I imagine this is also a very superficial way to outdo Rem in their “complex friendship” through an inferior complex of sorts (or whatever the hell they tried to explain his jealousy towards Rem, especially his home abuse situation which Urie was or may have been aware all the time, according to the game canon, iirc?), because, sometimes... jealousy is a b*tch and if there is ONE way to outdo your best friend, it might be this? It’s QUITE stupid, I know... but... I MEAN...

Shiki - Slender, petit. Much close to his actual official body built appearance, he is another one I don’t have much issues with, tbh. I dunno why, it just simply fits with his aesthetic as a whole. As a fallen angel and all that, he is certainly considered “beautiful” by his peers and the academy given his previous holy status. He has this “angelical beauty” aura, that no one else know how to explain it, that is certainly tricky once you get to know him.

Roen - Might be inclining into average at best (not slender, but also not chubby), but chubby is not that bad, either? Okay, here is the thing... I think it’s a little funny to think (for me) that he might get well-fed in his pomeranian form (and living within the Arlond/Kaginuki’s household might be a plus), and this might get reflected on his human appearance. I think it would fit him with a certain “cuteness” factor? (although he is also a little mischievous in his human form, and I think he might be embarrassed at times to be on his human form, because being a dog might have its advantages?)  If there’s a guy from these demons that should be chubby at best, just for that, it should be Roen, lol.

Lindo - Fit, athletic (again, not soooo different from his official appearance). HOWEVER, he might get a little beefy (not as much as Mage) if his vampire side gets switched on. Lindo gets trained by the exorcists, and he is pursued to achieve what the priests and other exorcists of that organization tell him to so he can “suppress” his vampiric side, in some kind of balanced diet and exercise way. However, I think this may be a little consequential if his vampiric powers are activated, one way or another.

I’m not going to lie, when I first watched the anime, I was a tiny disappointed that the only change we see of his vampire side is... purely aesthetical: red eyes, a longer hair strand and longer nails (and fangs), lol. I mean, go off, I guess. I wanted it to be more... physical, lol.

I incline to believe that, maybe this is the best it could be given his constant training...? but I also believe the training might put his human body in a more stressful state when his vampire side wakes up. So, maybe he gets a little more “muscley” in a transformation kind-of way? Instead of simply the purely visual changes? (Who knows, maybe just as the demons supposedly have their alternate forms, the vampires also have a more “beast” like form? food for thought 👀...).

To be fair, these are just fun ideas I have on my head, and I kinda want to explore them while drawing. That doesn’t mean I would simply stop drawing them in their official/vanilla appearances, since I cannot easily divorce from their official designs that MUCH... especially after all these years... but I guess I want more male body diversity in them? lol.

This is my next DWD OC from my fanfiction that I drew: Akina Tsundra, the vampire mother of Sakura. As some may have read and known, Akina was attacked by a pureblooded vampire when she was on her way to a hospital while in labor with Sakura. Sakura was told that her mother had died due to blood loss but sadly her mother had turned instead. Akina had to abandon Sakura when she had realized what she was and vowed to return for her when the time was right. And I guess a little spoilers here for my story😋 Akina did eventually find Sakura because she was assigned to capture her and being her down to the underworld under the command of the demon lord: Lord Arlond, Rem’s father. Later on when she brought Sakura to the vampire realm, she had a plan for her and Lindo Tachibana. Akina still loves her daughter very much and she claims to want the very best for her. So what does she decide to do? Try to erase both Sakura’s and Lindo’s humanity and make them full vampires. That way the vampire realm has a new vampire king but with a queen this time. So sadly Akina is a villain in this story but I do hope you like her (art wise of course)

【VY2V3】 My Name Is・Rem Arlond 【Dance with Devils】

Re-listening to the songs in Dance with Devils and wow as cringy and 2nd hand embarrassment I get from it, the songs slap. There's just something about really cringy, spine shriveling, wall slapping, salt eating shows having so much charm. I love it when all the characters are being their most unapologetic cringy self and singing their feelings in a simple, yet complex way to show their motivations, personality, and just how much of a side/main character they are.

All in all I just like songs with plot

Kakusei no Air - No lyrics in this one darn, oh well. Anyways I love how dramatic it feels. This song really just gives me the urge to be a pretty boy. Ayo the only one she actually danced with was Rem. And now she's opening the door to a new world.

Kaze no Yokan - "I'm a normal high school girl" I'm sorry, but you're not. I love that this song shows that she's not completely naïve, but she does still keep that hope of having a fairytale love cause honestly, sometimes having a fairytale like romance sounds cool. So yeah among some other stuff, MC wants to have a relationship with someone with genuine love between the two.

Labyrinth of Depravity - Omg I love the start of the song. THIS GIVES ME SUCH GENDER ENVY! I LOVE THE WAY IT SHOWS THEIR PERSONALITIES!!!!!!!!! OMGGGG I LOVE THE PART WHERE THEY GO "We are Shiko Academy's Student Council of the third library" cause that part just sounds cool af, and the way they're posing on the stairs makes me wanna pose like a pretty boy who'll never get the girl. And I love the glass apple and the way it broke. Since the dudes called themselves the forbidden flower garden it reminds me of the forbidden fruit in the Garden of Eden, so Rem taking a bite of the glass apple could be a way of showing that his character arc will lead him to learning more about himself, even if he finds it uncomfortable, to the point that he regards his feelings as "forbidden knowledge" and do his best to lock it up- I have no idea where I'm going with this. Anyways glass apple is cool and I like the sound effect when it shattered.

My Name is Rem Arlond - This one is so funny to me. He's just standing around and ordering his enemies around with such grace and poise, showing that he's the one usually in power and will him announcing his name is his way of saying "remember this name because I'm above you" or smth like that. Also his fire flower was cool.

Yuuwaku❤amor - I love the imagery in this one. The chains are meant to be his webs because anyone chained up his essentially caught up in his web of lust(?). He's selling his love as a paradise, but they're dancing in a cage. His love would only hold MC, and any other women, back and they wouldn't notice because they're dancing in that cage enjoying their life together. Too much to notice the problem with his love.

Kimi Dake no Shugo Kishi - And I love this song. I will never root for this guy as a LI, but his song is just so full of love and devotion. The most pure(ish) and genuine out of all the others. Also it sounds nice in general... WTF HIS VA IS WATARU HATANO?? NO WONDER I LIKE HIS VOICE THE MOST! ITS FULL OF FOND MEMORIES!!! I can't believe it took me a moment to recognize it! The line "Putting my all into atoning for the mark of sin that flows through my body" + the imagery from the previous scene of the cross's shadow over his eye is so good to me. THIS SONG IS SO GOOD I SWEAR I DON'T SUPPORT THIS DUDE, BUT I LOVE HIS SONG SO MUCH!

VANQUISH - I love this dude. He's so silly. His song really being only about him, and what MC can give to him. Also him kicking the screen was funny. The whole song? rap? feels like a daydream where he's talking out loud. Anyways I love this dude, he's funny.

Pitiful Lullaby - The imagery in this one is cool. Him calling her a pitiful bunny girl really fits his very hunter like vibe. Cause he's literally creeping on her, but darn I love the chorus. So what I'm getting is that he likes the way he feels around her, and wants to keep that feeling and the best way to do that is lock it down in an "eternal sleep" where they can always dream of it together and it'll never change cause they're asleep and change can't happen when you're asleep and never do something to change your situation (cause you're asleep).

I Am a Faithful Dog - The dogs are so funny. But the religious imagery is so interesting to me, cause he seems to be Cerberus the loyal dog of Hades, so what does that mean. Oh fudge I love the part leading up to the chorus. He also seems like a big liar. Cause like he shows himself as a cute lil Pomeranian (I think), but his shadow is him being Cerberus, so maybe he's tryna lure MC into trusting him with his very cute and fluffy look and saying he's her trusted servant. It's always the small dogs... The end is especially weird cause he kept talking about how he is willing to serve and be devoted to her, but then he's like "Trust in Cerberus and devote yourself to me". Really changed up who the will be doing the devoting huh.

Someday Towards The Place We Saw In A Dream - Ngl I kind of find this song boring, just cause it's not my type, but the lyrics are intersting. They both say that they're in each other's eyes so they def like each other, and even admit that what they feel towards each other is love. The imaginary land they're in seems to be a paradise to them because there's nothing there to remind them of their destiny.

KETTO ~Unyielding Conflict~ - I love the duet between the two dudes who feel the strongest towards MC. The fight scene is especially nice. Like they're fighting each other, but all they can think about is MC, cause they're not just fighting each other, but they're fighting to show that what they feel is no joke and will not allow anyone to get in their way. Also love the part where they sing together.

EMO LIAR - Love it when the home boys know you're deeply in love with the girl you "don't care about and are only after because of her musty old book", and don't buy into your denial, and are like "hey we're competing for her love too, but just admit you love her loser". Love that they just sit on a throne that looks like a torture device which is very fitting considering that they're devils and the chain fence that was put up in the beginning is being blown up into pieces as Rem is forced to face his feelings towards MC. No seriously I love that they're literally calling out Rem's lies, and Rem acting dumb. Ohohhohohohoh I love it when they take turns calling him out while sitting on their weird throne.

Bride of Darkness - Love it when your suitors appear to save you and just start listing the things they love about you, while there's a knife to your throat and they're outnumbered. I also noted that when they start listing stuff about her it's to show just how innocent and untainted she is, compared to them, the devis (plus an exorcist and a dog). I also love the part where snake dude is like "don't disregard how I feel towards you, just cause it seems out of character and you're not ready to have your image of me change", cause like it really isn't like him at all. In his character song it was only about him and what MC could bring to him if he "won", and in most stories the receiver of the confession is like super bewildered and say "it's not like you at all", cause in their mind that one person is and acts a certain way, so when they aren't following the "rules" that were set in their mind it's a very jarring experience and they instinctively try to separate themselves from this moment by disregarding the confessor, but Snake saying not to say that is him saying he wants to be taken seriously. I also haven't seen the anime in a very long time and will not watch it so I have no memory of their romantic development, which I'm pretty sure is close to zero so I'm just thinking of this scenario as a separate thing. And webs saying he'll never let MC go and always cherish her is a nice nod to the fact that he's a flipping spider dude and calls her his "butterfly", so if she were to entangle herself with him she'll never be able to break free. Which is also why he says he won't care if it breaks her. As for Crow I don't really know what to say for his part? Like I'm guessing he spends most of his time sleeping, cause of his character song, and is very detached from other people as well as his emotions, so when the idea that someone who wormed their way into his heart could be taken away forever he feels sorrow, but just doesn't know it yet cause he hasn't experienced it enough to be able to identify it, and also cause he hasn't yet seen the impact she had on him, so to him he hasn't changed at all, but did change. Or smth like that. I also love that they're all holding out their hands towards her, another way of telling her to pick who she wants to be with forever, but like, she's being held hostage so she can't take their hand physically. Only with her mind will she be able to do that.

Crazy About You - Ah MC's singing with the two dudes who have the strongest feelings towards her. Red with him saying time and time again how he's willing to die for her, and Rem being Rem. And omg I'm getting sad for Red even though I never rooted for him at all and will never root for him, he's happy that she's happy and wants to protect her happiness just like Carton from Tale of Two Cities! Him calling her love with Rem "her pair of wings" cause their love will allow them to reach heights they never thought they could before and love itself is a very freeing emotion for the both of them I'd assume. And now they're singing their duet song again, and are literally doin da wedding vows. Omg I just realized that they're both blue. NOw MC has to choose if she wants to continue being human or a devil. To be with the person she loves or stay with her family, and I love that the spotlight is literally on her. YES CHOOSE YOUR OWN DESTINY GURLLLL! AND THE SUN RISING TO SHOW A NEW DAY/BEGINNING AND MAYHAPS AN DECISION??? YEAHHH SHE CHOSE HER HUMANITY! HE GAVE HER A SMALL CROWN AND DISAPPEARS CAUSE SHE MADE HER CHOICE AND THEY KISS ONE LAST TIME (and maybe the only time I don't remember).

Mademo★iselle - HOLY FLIP I FORGOT ABOUT THIS SONG! I love the circus theme. No idea what the lyrics are. Ayo MC is an Alice in Wonderland + Rabbit mix kind of outfit. Cause she was thrown into a strange world, and is still fairly innocent.

Dance with Devils headcanons for the boys going to a haunted house with their S/O

Happy Halloween, everyone~

Rem

You tug at Rem’s sleeve and point at the mock haunted mansion. “Come on! Pleeeease?”

Rem sighs and nods.

You enter through the ramshackle front door to find yourselves in a room that looks like a Victorian parlor.

A woman in a black dress approaches you, holding a flickering lantern. “I trust you had a safe trip? Good to hear. Now, I have to warn you that it’s been quite active tonight. I wish you luck with him.” She gestures with the lantern towards the next door.

Rem takes your hand and leads you towards the door.

The next room is what looks like a bedroom. A little girl sits on the edge of the bed, swinging her legs.

She stops at the sight of you. “Oh, hello. Are you here to take care of it?”

“...Yes?” you respond.

The girl points to what looks like a closet door. “He’s in there.”

You go to the door and try it. Nothing.

The room goes pitch black.

Behind you, light flares. You turn around.

The girl is standing in the middle of the room, staring at you and holding a kitchen knife. “It’s here to play.”

You gasp in surprise.

Rem’s grip on your hand tightens and he puts his other arm around your shoulders. “Are you okay?”

The room goes black again, then the lights turn on. The girl is gone.

“Are you sure about this?” Rem rubs your shoulders. “You’re shaking.”

“I’m fine. Just startled.”

“If you say so.” Rem moves you towards the other door, which leads to a narrow set of dark stairs.

You end up in what looks like a dining room, where two more girls are playing with their backs to you.

A woman in a grey dress and apron approaches you. Her eyes are black holes. “Are you here to see the girls? How lovely of you to come and play.”

The two girls turn around - their eyes are empty and their white dresses stained with blood.

You shriek in surprise and take a step back.

Rem pulls you behind him. “It’s okay, they’re not real.”

You nod, shaking.

“Do you need to leave?”

You nod again.

A few minutes later, you’re both standing outside again. Rem puts a hand on top of yours. “Are you okay?”

“Yeah. I thought I was braver than that...”

“Those are meant to scare people, and they’re all fake. You were doing fine up until then. There’s nothing wrong with that. But I take it there will be no more haunted houses for you?”

You shake your head.

He takes your hand and leads you off towards the carousel.

Urie

“Butterfly, if you wanted to spend time in a carnival, we should have just gone to my dreamworld.”

You shake your head. “While I do love having your dream one to ourselves, the crowds and the buzz are part of the fun.” Your eyes settle on an attraction next to a teacup ride. “Urie! Look, a haunted house! You don’t have one of those in your dreamworld.”

Urie’s smile freezes on his face for a moment. “No, I don’t.”

You grab his hand. “Let’s go in!”

Urie sighs. “If you like.”

“Don’t you want to?”

“I would go anywhere with you, Butterfly.”

You roll your eyes and walk up to the haunted house, which is designed to look vaguely like a circus big top, complete with actors dressed as circus actors. 

“Come in, we’ve been waiting~” sings one of them, her blank expression not matching her cheery tone.

Urie puts a hand around your waist. “Be sure to hold my hand if you get scared, Butterfly~”

You laugh and open the door.

The room is cluttered with circus props, with a clown sitting in the corner.

“Hi?” you say.

The actor stares at you and say nothing.

You proceed towards the door, her eyes following you as you walk.

Urie’s grip on your hand tightens.

A voice comes from behind you. “...Watch out for the trapeze artist.”

You turn around but the clown is gone.

Urie laughs. “It’s all just a show, Butterfly. Nothing more, nothing less.” He plants a kiss on your cheek and pushes aside the curtain in your way.

You enter a room full of circus costumes - most of which are torn and stained with blood.

A girl in a frilly, tattered dress stares at you dully. “Why are you here? She can find you here. Go! Go quickly!” She points at the door, which you both head through.

Urie’s grip on your hand tightens. “Don’t worry, Butterfly, it’s all a show, that’s all.”

“I’m not that scared yet, Urie!” You laugh.

“Aren’t you though?” A man in a tattered magicians costume appears in front of you. “You SHOULD BE!”

Urie jumps and glares at the man.

Is he... scared? No...

The magician runs out cackling like a lunatic.

“Urie... do you not like haunted houses?”

Urie reddens. “Butterfly - ”

“I wouldn’t have asked you if I’d known.”

“You wanted to.” He pouts slightly. “These haunted houses don’t exactly scare me - I’ve seen much, much more terrifying things. I do find them unpleasant though. I don’t like being shouted at and having the actors try to startle me, it’s unsettling. I’m fully aware it’s a show but even so.”

You kiss him. “We’ll walk through to the end, and then no more of this. And thank you.” You put your arm around his waist and walk towards the next door.

Mage

“A haunted corn maze?” Mage eyes the sign over the entrance, directing his flashlight up and illuminating the word “Welcome”.

“Yeah, one of my friends did it last year. She said it was fun. You want to?”

Mage hesitates.

“You’re not scared, are you?”

A minute later you’re heading into the maze, Mage practically dragging you behind him. “Okay, so we just have to find our way out?”

“Pretty much. It’s not big so if we get lost we can call for help and they’ll come get us out.” Your boots squelch in the mud as you advance between the cornrows. “And no using magic on the actors or attacking them, they’re not getting paid enough to get struck by lightning.”

“Actors?”

“Yeah, there’s people in costume who come out and try to scare you.”

“Not like they could scare - ”

“HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!” A clown with a chainsaw jumps out of the stalks and runs at you.

Mage freezes for a split second, eyes wide.

He grabs you and runs.

You leave the clown’s cackling in the distance as he tears through the cornstalks, straight through to the end of the maze.

Once he stops, he sets you down and turns back to see the new path he’s created through the maze, the chainsaw-wielding clown staring at you at the end of it.

“Oops.”

“No haunted corn mazes anymore?”

“Nope.”

“...Let’s get out of here before anyone else sees what we did.”

“Yup.”

Shiki

Shiki pulls on your arm. “Let’s go into the Haunted House. Come on~”

You roll your eyes and go along with him. It’s just a carnival haunted house made to look like a hospital. It’s not like anything in there is any kind of real terror. Except for Shiki.

You go through the front door into what looks like a waiting room.

The nurse sitting behind the desk looks up at you and smiles. “The doctor is waiting for you, my dears. Go right on in~”

Shiki puts his arm around your waist and opens the door for you. You step into the doctor’s examining room, where a man in a dingy white coat and holding a clipboard beckons you towards a examining chair with dilapidated leather straps. “Come, sit down, I’ll examine you.”

Shiki’s eyes lock on the straps and he plops himself down in the chair, putting his hands out to be restrained.

You and the actor exchange glances. You shake your head and grab his hand, pulling him off. “Shiki, no.”

The actor goes on, explaining that you’re being committed the madhouse and sending you through into the next room. The dingy room is lined with beds, and several are occupied with patients.

“Are you new?” A woman in a ragged nightdress ambles up to you like a zombie, staring at you with huge eyes. “Come, lay down and sleep... forever....”

Shiki puts an arm around your waist. “Are you feeling sleepy?”

You glare at him and say nothing.

A man approaches you, holding a syringe. “...I’m hungry... I want to eat... I like eating flesh... one toe? Please just one?”

Shiki puts himself in front of you.

He removes his shoe, then his sock, and holds out his foot for the man. “As many as you want.”

The actor blinks a little.

“The pain... it would be so exciting...” Shiki moans.

You pull Shiki’s sock back on, then put his foot back in the shoe. “Let’s go, Shiki.” You grab his wrist and pull him past the bewildered actors, through the door, and past the bloodied nurse who jumps out screaming.

Shiki moans again at the screaming actor.

You tow him past all the scares, ignoring them all until you’re past them and at the exit in the sunlight.

You release his wrist. “Don’t freak out the actors, Shiki.”

Shiki pouts. “Meanie~” He puts an arm around your waist and kisses you on the cheek. “ Let’s go do something else.”

Lindo

“Are you sure?” Lindo frowns at the haunted house, which has been made up to look like a red and white circus tent.

“I can handle it, Lindo! I’m not a little kid!”

“Fine.” He pays the lady and the front and leads you forward through the doors.

You find yourself in a room with red and white striped circus tent walls and multiple exits with curtains.

A man dressed as a bloody clown stares at you both. “Well, take your pick, I can’t wait all day.”

Lindo’s grip on your hand tightens. It’s kind of cute how protective he is, even if it’s just a fake horror clown. You squeeze his hand back and push back the curtain in front of one of the doors.

You follow the narrow, dim tunnel behind it, only to come out one of the other doors and back into the room with the clown.

The clown smirks at you. “Aw, are you lost?”

Lindo glares at him and pulls you through another curtain. This one leads you to a small, similarly dim room littered with circus props.

A little girl carrying a doll runs up to you. “Please, he’s after me! Run!” The little girl runs past you and disappears.

Lindo leads you forward through the narrow exit.

“Hey there!” A bloodied clown jumps at you, holding a butcher’s knife.

Lindo scoops you into his arms and bolts.

He runs past all the other scares, ignoring the trapeze artist with no eyes and the ragged, bloodied ringmaster brandishing a whip, vaulting over several pieces of circus equipment.

He doesn’t stop until he runs through a striped curtain and the frigid night air hits you.

He stops and looks around at the other carnival attractions. The brightly lit carousal, the maze of mirrors, the Ferris wheel in the distance. His eyes are still wide and his hands are shaking slightly.

“Lindo... what was that?” 

He seems to see you for the first time. “Oh! I’m sorry. That was stupid of me. I was startled.” He sets you on your feet.

He avoids your gaze and stares at the boyfriend.

You laugh and kiss him on the cheek. “Thank you for protecting me.”

He blushes and puts an arm around your waist. “Let’s go do something else that doesn’t involve those freaks.”

“...You know these are fake and these are all just actors and special effects, right?”

You sigh. “Of course I do, Roen. But it’s fun!”

Roen sighs and pays, following you into the mortuary themed attraction.

The room you enter is decked out in flowers, with a coffin in the center.

A woman in a black dress leads you forward towards the coffin. “Hello, I’m the director here. I’m so sorry for your loss. Would you like to say goodbye one last time?”

Roen sighs. “If I must.”

You dig him in the ribs with your elbow and he lifts the lid of the coffin.

A woman in a white dress with bloody nails jumps out of the coffin, gasping. “They locked me in there! Get out! Save yourself!” She sprints past you into the back room.

The woman in the black dress sighs and shepherds you around the coffin towards the back room.

Roen puts an arm around your waist. He seems... tense? Strange...

The next room is also full of flowers, but filled with rows of caskets and lit by candles.

The lids on the caskets pop up and bloodied bodies rise from them.

You shudder and Roen’s grip on you tightens. He’s not getting scared, is he? if anything he should be finding this ridiculous.

Roen reaches behind you and tries the door. It doesn’t open.

He frowns and glances at the woman in the black dress, who seems confused and tries it herself.

Roen walks you forward through the actors, who are very close.

He pushes you in front of the door. “Stand here and don’t move.”

You turn to see the actors have all stopped and are staring at him.

“Did I give the Fuserhof House offense when I fought you last, Lilith?”

One of the actresses shimmers and transforms into a woman in a long black dress. “Leave him alive, but she can die.”

One of the bloodied actors lunges at you.

Roen steps in front of you, blocking your attacker, and, putting two fingers in his mouth, gives a sharp whistle.

Lilith glowers at him. “She’s only a human, she ought to be your shield, not you hers.”

Roen sighs. “As always, you’re not paying attention. Do you remember what happened in our last fight?”

She looks down.

You follow her gaze to see two hounds tearing at her shadow.

She screams and vanishes.

All the actors collapse to the floor.

Roen sighs and gives you a hug, pulling you against his chest. “No more haunted houses.”

You nod and return the way you came.
