Tumblr media
A while back, I commented a post about the Nazi German Holocaust (so-called murderer of many people in their Lagers or concentration camps, above all Jewish people during the Nazi era, 1933-1945).
Long story short, this is the link to the original post, and below my “debate” with @uwdude, who I can’t tag for some reason I don’t know and it doesn’t interest me much right now.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I suggest @uwdude to go back and revise a little history, the Real One, though, not that one publicised by a certain political extreme-right part to promote only a part of the history, that one that (but guess what...), can justify the Nazism and its atrocities.
For example, it seems extremely reckless to me comparing Allies with Nazists: of course the Allies killed a lot of people, but only as a response of German invasion of Poland in 1939 and not to “save” the Jews, whose events in Germany and abroad little or nothing was known at the time.
And, in any case, with deniers’ logic, if someone kidnaps, enslaves, starves, let to die of starvation and diseases from #300,000 to #500,000 people (see what the same writer says at point #36 of this post topic), Questions and Answers about the Holocaust). What did the free countries had to do, if not help them and every European conquered and submitted people? Exactly like every good citizen would call the police, if he sees a person committing a crime.
And, like I already said and I would rather not repeat once again, the Nazi German didn’t persecute only Jews, but also Slavic, Gypsy, homosexuals, political opponents and everyone who wasn’t just a “good and perfect exponent of the superior Aryan race” of the new Third Reich. Also, the Nazis euthanized most of German persons with psychiatric disorders, incurable patients, children with disabilities and all they considered untermensch (sub-human people), during the so-called Aktion T4 program.
And, to make it quite clear about the Jewish, Polish and Slavonic peoples, better to remind some dates and quotes, all facts happened well before the beginning of the second world war (1939); here are some examples of pre-war Nazi laws against Jewish people:
National Socialist Program, aka 25-point Plant of 24 February 1920 and, particularly, point #4:
Only a member of the race can be a citizen
A member of the race can only be one who is of German blood, without consideration of creed
Consequently, no Jew can be a member of the race
Adolf Hitler was appointed as chancellor of Germany on 30 January 1933
April 1933, law for the Restoration of the Professional Civil Service
April 1933, law Concerning Admission to the Legal Profession
April 1933, Law Against the Overcrowding of German Schools
July 1933, Citizenship and Denaturalization Law
September 1933, Hereditary Farm Law
September 1933, Establishment of the Chambers of Culture
September 1935, Nuremberg Laws
among them the Reich Gypsy Laws (see also the anti-Gypsy racial policy)
January 1936: An Executive Order on the Reich Tax Law forbade Jews from being tax consultants
April 1936: The Jewish people were banned from the veterinary profession by the Reich Veterinarians Law
October 1936: The Reich Ministry of Education banned Jewish teachers from teaching in public schools
April 1937: The mayor of Berlin ordered public schools not to allow Jewish students to attend until further notice
anti-semitic laws 1938/1939
Generalplan Ost (General Plan for the East Territories), for the German colonization of Russia and elimination and enslavement of Slavic people)
Occupation of West (and East, after 1941) Poland
German mistreatment of Soviet POWs
I also suggest to the deniers to talk with some of the very last nazi camps’ survivors or Allies liberators, or to read their memories or also to watch some of the clips on this topic you can easily find on the web, On the other hand, the 66 questions and answers about the holocaust, we’re talking about haven’t a single shred of evidence to support them. From my point of view, no-contest with evidences vs. nothing,
Ah, I almost forgot: to avoid any infamous and totally inappropriate misunderstanding, I’m not a Jew, even if this it’s totally not about what above, but just to shut neo-nazis and deniers up with their same, boring topics, for instance “you talk like that only in defense and justification of your race”.
If anyone wanted to comment in any way, he/she will always be welcomed, but only with data and facts, accompanied by documentary evidences. On the contrary, any insult and senseless claptrap will not be considered.
To conclude, have a look at these two clips, the first one with Generals Eisenhower, Bradley and Patton (three notorious Communists, as everyone knows very well..., among them the last one, just the one who wanted to go on with the war, but this time against the Red Army) visiting a Nazi camp, and the second one on Aktion T4 program:
youtube
youtube
P.s.: I’ve just had a look at uwdude’s blog; he definitely doesn’t have a clue what he was in for, if he lived in Nazi Germany.
As an homosexual, he was surely interned in a camp, and long before the Jews who he hates so much, because the convictions for such a sexual behavior, not conform to the "German norm.", began since the same 1933, at the very beginning of Nazi government.
The 175 paragraph of the German penal code, in force since 1871 ("An unnatural sex act committed between persons of male sex or by humans with animals is punishable by imprisonment; the loss of civil rights might also be imposed"), were amended by Nazis in “A male who commits a sex offense with another male or by humans with animals is punishable by imprisonment; the loss of civil rights might also be imposed", making possible the persecution of every same-sex act, even if it were just the possession of gay sex photos or the mere exchange of love letters between gay men.
And, imprisoned in a concentration camp, with his striped tunic and a pink triangle to show the reason of his sentence, uwdude would suffered a harsh and unusually cruel treatment, because homosexuals were considered to be the lowest of the low in the concentration camp hierarchy.
Tumblr media
And, likely, he would never leave the camp alive: some 50,000 homosexuals were officially sentenced in total. Most of these men served time in regular prisons, and an estimated 5,000 to 15,000 of those sentenced were incarcerated in Nazi concentration camps. It is unclear how many of the 5,000 to 15,000 would die in the camps, because the death rate of homosexuals in concentration camps may have been as high as 60%.
Just a very last thing: before reblogging posts like the following, better think very well about what would've happened to him if he was interned in a Nazi concentration camp. This isn’t a joking matter.
Tumblr media
Better for uwdude to know these facts, before supporting those which would have been his own persecutors.

Rules
Tumblr media
You are NOT allowed to send screenshots in this game. Receipts are allowed (i.e. copy-paste text from skype) but screenshots are STRICTLY prohibited, except to the host. You are NOT allowed to fake receipts through making a new skype as someone else.
Cross tribal communication is not permitted.
The hosts has final say. Please respect the decisions that we make (you agreed to do so when you applied).
If you receive a total of 3 strikes, you will be removed from the game. You can be removed from the game after only 1 warning, depending on the situation (warnings are for violations like cheating). There is a more detailed section on strikes and warnings below.
All challenges are mandatory unless stated otherwise (like if a reward is offered in exchange for giving up chances at immunity or a similar circumstance).
If you are in another game with a fellow player, you are required to let the hosts know.
The beginning of the game (for total newbies):
At the beginning of the game, you will be added to your tribe chat. This is the online version of your tribe beach, where you can talk publicly with your other tribe mates to bond and such. This is where all challenges, results, and announcements will be sent and where non-live tribal councils will be held. You’re more than welcome to call this chat and talk if people want to.
To start off, you will need to add your fellow tribe mates as contacts on Skype.
If you want to make an alliance with three players on your tribe and nobody else to secure numbers or stay in touch with the minority group or distract a group or whatever, you will need to make a group chat on Skype (the hosts can teach you to do this if you don’t know how already). Please give your chat a name even if it isn’t an official alliance.
The hosts MUST be in your alliance chats. We will send reminders of this in the tribe chat periodically, since it’s easy to forget. We won’t interfere with any of your game talk, but we do need to be there so we have a sense of what’s going on in the game and make sure no talk violates the rules. You do not need to make an alliance chat in order to communicate with just one other person. You can just direct message them on Skype. If you have any questions about communicating with other players, just let us know!
Immunity Challenges:
During the tribal stage of the game, each tribe will compete in immunity challenges. The losing tribe will attend tribal council and vote someone off their tribe, except in circumstances of twists, which will be laid out clearly in posts or announcements.
If a tribe has a numbers advantage, they will be required to sit out member(s) of their tribe. The tribe must tell the host who they are sitting out within the amount of time listed on the post. The sitting out player may not attempt the challenge before choosing to sit out, and they may not advise on any strategy during the challenge. If a tribe fails to notify who will be sitting out, the hosts will randomly select someone to sit out, and that randomization can be done on screen share at players’ request.
Contestants cannot sit out in back-to-back challenges. If one person sits out of an immunity challenge, they must compete in the next immunity challenge.
After the merge, players will compete for individual immunity. The contestant who wins individual immunity cannot be voted for at tribal council. Twists may affect the amount of players with immunity.
If the contestant who won individual immunity wishes to give their immunity to another contestant, they must notify the hosts at least 6 hours before votes are due to accommodate for revotes. Once the announcement is made that individual immunity is being given to another contestant, the voting will restart and all contestants must cast another vote, even if they already cast a vote before the announcement was made. Failure to do so will result in a self vote. In this situation, depending on when the announcement is made, there may be a deadline extension at players’ request. At a live tribal, players may transfer individual immunity any time before the votes are cast.
If you fail to submit a score for an immunity challenge, you will receive a strike. If you alert us that you will not be submitting you will NOT receive a strike. Two consecutive strikes will result in removal from the game. Three strikes overall with also result in removal from the game.
All immunity challenges are mandatory.
Reward Challenges:
During the tribal stage of the game, tribes may compete in reward challenges. The winning tribe will win a reward. The reward varies each time. The reward will be explained when the challenge is posted, but will typically have to do with searching for the Hidden Immunity Idol/other advantages, or some kind of advantage in the immunity challenge.
If a tribe has a numbers advantage, they must sit a player(s) out of the challenge. See immunity challenges for expansion on this; same rules apply.
After the merge, contestants may compete in reward challenges as well, either in groups or individually. The rules for the challenge will vary based on the reward given that round.
Reward challenges are mandatory unless specified otherwise and you will receive a strike if you do not submit that will count towards your total number of strikes.
Scores:
To submit a score for a challenge where screenshots are required, you must take a screenshot of your full screen, which includes the date and time. Your FIRST NAME must be in the URL bar for your score to count. If you have any problems with screenshots (including if you are playing from a smartphone), let us know and we will help you or give you an alternative.
If a score is submitted after the deadline, it will not count at the hosts’ discretion (there may be lenience if it is very close, or if there is an extreme circumstance) and will result in a challenge strike.
All scores must be new! You cannot use a score that you have from a previous game or from playing on your own time. The date and time must be visible in the screenshot.
If you are caught using an old score, you will receive a punishment.
You may not alter your scores using any photo editing software. If you do this you will be removed from the game.
Hidden Immunity Idols:
If you wish to use a hidden immunity idol, you must inform the hosts BEFORE the voting deadline.
Once the voting deadline passes, no idols may be played or transferred.
If you are playing your idol for someone other than yourself, you must specify who you wish to play it for.
If you want to give possession of your idol to another player in the game, you must tell the host and the hosts will transfer it for you. Any idol not moved by the hosts is not legitimate.
The idol can be used up to and including the final 5, meaning that you can idol yourself into the final 4 but no further. After that it’s just a fancy souvenir from your time in the game.
In the event of a revote, the idol cannot be played on the second round of voting.
Idols cannot be transferred across tribal lines, with the exception of during One World rounds.
So How Do I Find the Idol?
You can search for the idol on the Island of Immunity
You are not required to search for the idol.
You are allowed to share information about the idol hunt with whoever you want, but keep in mind that a) it is ultimately an individual game, and b) any information you hear may be a lie. The only people who will never lie about the idol hunt is the hosts.
Tribal Council:
The tribe that loses immunity will attend tribal council. Tribal councils will be made public and the other tribe will be able to see the results.
If tribal is live on Google Hangouts: all questions will be asked live, votes will be cast in real time, idols and items will be played live, and the results will be read in real time. Everyone will be required to attend, unless there are extenuating circumstances, in which case a player or two may be allowed to vote and answer their question early.
If tribal is not live: tribal questions will be asked soon after immunity results are given. Tribal questions must be answered publicly in the tribe chat before tribal council begins. If a tribal council is not hosted and broadcast on Google hangouts, it is NOT considered live. You MUST play any idols or objects before the voting deadline.
Failure to answer your tribal council question will result in a strike.
Votes must be cast by the voting deadline. If they are late, they will not count. The voting deadline can be extended with certain requests (normally, a tribe majority must consent). You must tell the hosts you are playing an idol or an item before the time the votes are due.
To reiterate: if you wish to play an idol at a non-live tribal council, you can only do so until the voting deadline. You may retract an idol play between the voting deadline and tribal council, but you may not initiate a play. The time between the voting deadline and tribal council exists ONLY so that host can get together the votes, make the tribal post, etc.
Voting and tribal councils:
In the tribal stage of the game, the tribe that loses the immunity challenge will attend tribal council and vote someone off their tribe.
After the merge, all players left in the game must attend tribal council. The contestant with individual immunity cannot be voted for but will vote at tribal council.
To submit a vote, you will write out your vote on the parchment provided for you, using any photo editing software or website of your choice (the hosts can recommend one if you don’t have one) and you will send it to your host chat via Skype with a voting confession.
You may decorate your parchment however you want, provided the name of the person you’re voting for is clear on it.
Your voting confession will be made public, i.e. read on call and included in the post.
Failure to cast a vote at tribal council will result in a self vote and a strike.
If you self vote twice in a row, you will be removed from the game.
Once you submit your vote, you can change your vote until the voting deadline and must re-submit a parchment and voting confession. Your old parchment will be deleted.
Cheating/rule-breaking:
Cheating includes but is not limited to:
Altering a challenge score.
Using a score from Google.
Talking to members of the opposing tribe.
Talking to jury members, or members who were voted out pre-merge.
Sending screenshots (if someone sends you a screenshot and you do not report it, this can be held against you, too).
Receiving help in a challenge (besides asking for tips/advice, i.e. having them do the challenge for you) from someone outside of the game.
Attempting to rig the game in your favor in any way.
Soliciting information about the game from someone in the viewing lounge or otherwise able to watch the game unfold (if someone sends you this information, please let the hosts know so we can take action).
Punishments:
In the event that a contestant is caught breaking the rules, the hosts will choose a punishment appropriate for the action. The punishment will be decided by the hosts without input from the contestants unless all contestants are affected by a rule break.
Under normal circumstances, we will follow these guidelines for punishments:
Generally speaking, strikes are punishments given out for failure to maintain activity in the game, such as self-voting, not submitting for a challenge, not answering a tribal council question, or not submitting a confessional. Strikes are intended to keep the game active and remove any players who are ghosting. Three strikes overall will result in removal from the game, and two consecutive strikes will also result in removal from the game, unless there are extreme circumstances such as a familial death, serious injury, or otherwise serious incidents.
On the other hand, warnings will be issued for any violation of ethical rules, such as cross-tribal communication, communicating with a member of jury, removing hosts from chats, sending screenshots, or soliciting information about the game from someone in the viewing lounge. Warnings are not the same thing as strikes. Players will receive one warning explaining their violation of the rules. Generally speaking, if it happens again, the player will be removed because they have compromised the integrity of the game. Jury members are still considered players in the game, and the warning system will still apply to them.
Please keep in mind that the hosts are human, that this is an online game, and that none of it is as serious as it may feel. We want to have fun, so do your best to make this experience fun for everyone. Any bullying or comments with the intention of hurting others will be cause for the immediate removal from the game.
For most circumstances, either a strike or a warning are a sufficient punishment. However, depending on the severity of the rule break, other punishments include but are not limited to:
Immediate evacuation from the game.
Not receiving a reward.
Ineligible to win individual immunity.
Decreased immunity score.
A vote at tribal council.
Removal from jury.
Inability to join the VL after the game.
Quitting:
If a member of the tribe quits after the immunity challenge, there will be no vote unless the tribe unanimously agrees to still have one.
Depending on the situation, if a contestant quits while the jury is in place, they will not be on the jury and will not be allowed to cast a vote for a winner. A member of pre-jury will replace them or the jury may remain the same at the hosts’ discretion. There are extenuating circumstances (death in the family, medical emergency, etc.) that will allow a player who quits to remain on jury.
Don’t quit please.
Seriously.
Being voted out:
Once you are voted out of the game, you will be removed from the tribe chat and added to either the pre-jury chat or the Ponderosa chat.
You are permitted to post last words in the chat, but please run it by the hosts before posting to ensure it won’t interfere with the game.
In your last words, you may not mention any game specifics. This is in order to avoid potentially screwing up someone else’s game. If it is post-merge and your public last words are intended to sabotage someone’s game, you will not be allowed to serve on jury.
You will also be asked to submit a last words confession via the confession link, but this will not be public until after the game has finished, so you may say whatever you want there.
After being voted out pre-merge, I encourage you to continue following the season. Game updates will be posted in the pre-jury ponderosa chat, and you’re more than welcome to continue talking with the hosts. We’d love to have you in future games and give you applications to other things in the community! If you are voted out before the jury phase of the game starts, you will be added to a pre-jury ponderosa chat.
Pre-jurors are not allowed to communicate with anyone left in the game or anyone on the jury as it can interfere with the outcome of the game.
Jury:
Once the jury phase of the game starts, when players are voted out, they will be removed from the tribe chat and placed in the ponderosa chat. This is the jury chat.
Jury members are not permitted to talk to players who are still in the game.
Jury members will be allowed and encouraged to watch tribal councils. If tribal council is in the tribe chat, jury members will be re-added so they can take part in the call and then removed. If tribal council is on google hangouts, the jurors will be given a youtube link where they can watch tribal council as it unfolds live. Don’t be afraid to remind us to add you to the tribe chat, as it can be easy to forget!
You are allowed to post reaction gifs and emojis without any text during tribal councils if you are observing the chat, like how jurors can only make faces in response to the drama on the show.
Jury members are allowed to discuss the game in the ponderosa chat but not with anyone left in the game or anyone voted out pre-merge.
If a jury member is caught interfering with the game, they will be removed from the jury, no exceptions
In the event that someone is removed from the jury, the slot may be filled by a prejuror or the jury may remain the same at the host’s discretion.
Confessions:
To submit your confessions, use the link on the blog that will direct you to a Google Form where you will submit your confession. You can ask us for a confessional link as well if you are on mobile.
We recommend saving the link as a bookmark on your browser so you have it when you need it in case we are not around.
You can add gifs to your confessions, they can be written, they can be audio or they can be video.
If you are uploading a video confession to YouTube, make sure that you set the privacy settings to unlisted. This makes it so that only the people with a link to the video can see it. You wouldn’t want anyone in the game seeing what you’re saying, so make sure it’s unlisted.
Confessions will be posted at the end of the game once the winner is announced, grouped by “episode,” or by round. During the game, the host is the only people with access to them, so don’t be shy about sharing what’s going on and how you’re really feeling. However, if you would like to send a confession to our viewing lounge, send one to your host chat!
Tie Breakers:
In the event of a tie at tribal council, a revote will be held. The contestants who the vote is tied between will not be allowed to vote.
If there is still a tie after the revote, the contestants will draw rocks to see who gets voted out. To simulate a rock draw, the names of the remaining contestants will be put on a list and randomized on random.org. This randomization will happen live with screen sharing on so the contestants can ensure that it’s fair. At the beginning, the host will ask how many times from 1-10 players want it randomized, and it will be randomized that many times. The person on the TOP of the list after the final randomization will go home.
The contestants who are tied will be immune from drawing rocks as well as any player(s) with individual immunity or any players who played a hidden immunity idol.
If there is a tie at the final 4, the 2 contestants who are tied will face off in a challenge of the host’s creation that will be comparable to the fire making contests on Survivor. The winner of the challenge will stay in the game.
Tolerance:
This game has a zero tolerance rule when it comes to bullying of any kind, whether it be personal or take on racial/homophobic/gender based tones. Regardless, cruelty, harassment, and bullying are not tolerated.
If a contestant makes any racial and/or gender and/or homophobic slurs or anything along those lines, they will be removed from the game.
If somebody breaks this rule on bullying, personal attacks, and harassment, please notify the hosts immediately with screenshots and we will handle it for you. You will be taken seriously, kept completely anonymous, and not punished in any way for coming forward. The safety and comfort of you players is our absolute highest priority.
If you are unclear on any rules, please ask us to clarify.
If there are any questions that you have that are not addressed in the rules, do not hesitate to ask us. Please consult us and do not make any assumptions about the rules, as it could be bad for your game. Players have ended up going home because they didn’t read the rules.
More rules may be added as the game progresses and more things are revealed. The hosts reserve the right to change and update rules as situations arise during the game

10 Useful (and Fun!) Ways to Use Instagram Stickers
Over 500 million people use their Instagram stickers for brands and personal accounts every single day. And it makes sense why. There are endless ways to use them. (Plus, they’re just so darn fun!)
Instagram stickers open up a whole new world of digital engagement and recognition for brands—regardless of industry or niche. And you can choose from lots of different sticker types, such as:
Hashtag stickers
Poll stickers
Question stickers
Location stickers
Mention stickers
Music stickers
Countdown stickers
GIFs
Emoji sliders
Shoppable tags
In this post, we’ve created a handy list of ways you can use Instagram stickers. But before we dive headfirst into those tips, however, let’s review why Instagram stickers are so great in the first place.
Benefits of Using Instagram Stickers
Engagement
Customers love interacting with your content. Stickers, such as for polls and questions, make talking with your audience easier. Or, at the very least, include them in the conversation. (If you’re stuck on ideas, grab some content inspiration.)
Brand Development
Stickers give brands more opportunities to show off their personalities. Instagram stickers let you share things like music and GIFs that uniquely represent your brand voice. Using them will help make your Instagram stand out among the competition and continue to hone recognition from viewers.
Discoverability
Location, hashtags, and mention stickers make getting found in Stories shared by other accounts easier—whether by an influencer adding your post to a Story or the location of an upcoming live event. The more strategic stickers you add to your post, the greater chance your Story will be seen by new and relevant audiences.
Check out these ways that you can use Instagram stickers for brands to reap those (and many other) benefits.
10 Ideas for Using Instagram Stickers
1. Share context
A picture is worth a thousand words, but sometimes you need to add context clues. A random photo of a crowd standing outside your store doesn’t mean anything on its own. Add an event hashtag sticker on top, though, and suddenly your viewers can access all the photos taken at your special occasion.
2. Set reminders
Of the many Instagram stickers for brands and personal accounts we’ve seen, the set reminders tool is the most practical. Once you put a Countdown Sticker on your Story, viewers can add the event to their calendar and turn on reminder notifications. It’s a great tool for helping your fans keep up with all your awesome events and special offers.
3. Schedule live streams
Use the Countdown Sticker to notify viewers when you’ll be going Live. One of the best ways to get new eyeballs on your streams is by promoting the heck out of the event ahead of time. Because Instagram Stories go hand in hand with Instagram Lives, it only makes sense that you should use them together.
4. Caption live replays and videos
Stories need context (as we’ve already explained). So when you share a replay of a live stream (or even just a regular video) to your account, you can use Instagram Stickers. Hashtag and mention stickers help explain who and what your video is about. And Question or Poll stickers can work as fantastic survey tools for your main topic.
5. Promote time-sensitive events.
Events like one-day-only sales or early bird specials greatly benefit from the addition of Instagram Stickers for brands. In addition to using the countdown timer, brands can also add funny reaction GIFs or emoji sliders to add excitement or call attention to the time crunch.
6. Answer FAQs
Give customers a chance to get their most pressing questions answered with help from Instagram stickers for brands. The question sticker allows for short-form answer responses, so they’ll have a chance to add details if they like. You can then use the mention sticker when you share their questions with the corresponding answer in your story later.
7. Set the mood
There’s no better way to convey a feeling than to use with the right music. (Just ask anyone who has ever proclaimed their love for someone while holding a boombox over their head.) Use the music sticker on your Story to create the vibe. Instagram helps you out with this by offering a music search by category, listing songs for happy, upbeat, and inspirational music, among others.
8. Get direct feedback
Sometimes, businesses have questions for their audience that they can’t ask anywhere else. Which brings us to our other favorite use for questions stickers. Add these to your story to learn things like audience preferences, opinions, and special requests. Everyone loves having their opinions heard, so this Instagram sticker for brands is sure to be a hit with your audience.
9. Promote CTAs
Instagram stickers for brands are about more than just having fun. They can also be a great tool for driving traffic to certain landing pages, boosting engagement with other social posts, and much, much more. For example, you can help viewers find and submit to your contest using the hashtag sticker.
10. Feature new products
Shoppable tags are a new Instagram story sticker for brands that everyone can get excited about. Tag the products featured in your story to send users to your online store. You can even use the rest of your story to share other product details and demos when selling products on Instagram.
If you want to make some incredibly engaging and memorable Instagram stories, you’ve got to use Instagram stickers for brands. These 10 creative uses for Instagram story stickers are just the tip of the iceberg.

Woman won beauty contest set up by the banned neo-Nazi terrorist group
Alice Cutter, 22, named herself ‘Buchenwald Princess’ in beauty competition – after the German concentration camp where thousands of Jews were slaughtered during WWII
A woman accused of being a member of National Action entered a beauty contest set up by the banned neo-Nazi terrorist group in a bid to recruit more members to it.
Alice Cutter, 22, won the competition in which she named herself ‘Buchenwald Princess’ – after the German concentration camp where thousands of Jews were slaughtered during WWII.
She entered ‘Miss Hitler’ to ‘raise the profile’ of National Action, jurors at Birmingham Crown Court were told as her trial opened today.
The court heard that it was ‘no coincidence’ that her fiancé Mark Jones, 24, had been pictured doing a Nazi salute in an execution room at the camp just a month earlier.
The engaged couple have gone on trial accused of being members of the banned far-right organisation, which was proscribed in December 2016.
They deny the charges alongside co-defendants Garry Jack, 23, and Connor Scothern, 18.
It is alleged she entered competition in a bid to recruit more members to the extremist group National Action and ‘raise the profile’ it, jurors at Birmingham Crown Court were told. Cutter and her fiancé Mark Jones have gone on trial accused of being members of the banned far-right organisation, which was proscribed in December 2016
The couple deny the charges alongside co-defendants Garry Jack, 23, and Connor Scothern (pictured left outside the court)
Prosecutor Barnaby Jameson QC said: ‘Terror comes in many different forms.
‘None, perhaps, more chilling than the particular brand of terror the four accused were seeking to spread.
‘The terror of the gun, the terror of the knife, the terror of the noose, the terror of the explosive, the terror of the gas chamber.
‘The terror of an ideology so warped, so extreme and so twisted, its continued existence will be shocking to many of you, if not all.
‘It is the terror of pathological racial prejudice. It is the terror of society lacerated by division. It is the terror of ethnic cleaning.
‘It is the terror of life without mercy. It is the terror of violent dictatorship. It is the terror neo-Nazi white supremacy.
‘It is, above all, the terror of hate.
‘This case is about a fellowship of hate. A hate so fanatical and a fellowship so defiant that the accused would sooner break the law than break their bonds of hate.
‘This case is about a tiny, self-selecting group of young people in this country, for whom Hitler’s work will always be unfinished.
‘A group for whom the Final Solution to the Jewish question, to use Hitler’s words, remains to be answered by complete eradication.
‘We are talking about a group seeking to mimic Hitler’s ‘Sturmabteilung’ or storm detachment – the original paramilitary wing of the Nazi party.
‘The Crown should make it clear at this early stage that this case, involving as it does Nazi fanatics, will by its nature lead you, the jury, into a world as dark as a black sun.
‘The words ‘black sun’ are chosen for a reason. Why will become clear in due course.
‘It is a world that will transport the court back to the horrors of Nazi Germany: the concentration camps, the gas chambers, the mass executions, the crematoria and the Satanic chimneys.’
The court heard how Jones had travelled with a fellow member of the group to the Buchenwald concentration camp where he posed for a photo doing a Nazi salute.
The image later appeared on the National Action website with the caption ‘Oy vey. Such horrors. Dem bois were recently on tour in Germania’.
Mr Jameson added: ‘It shows the faces, deliberately blurred, of two men in an empty room giving the Nazi salute.
‘The men were in the execution room of Buchenwald, a Nazi concentration camp that stood out, even by the standards of Nazi concentration camps, for its depravity.
‘Like Auschwitz, Buchenwald is a permanent museum to honour the victims and remind the world of the horrors perpetrated in the name of Nazism.
‘There expression ‘Oy vey’ was deliberate. It is Yiddish indicating dismay or grief.’
Mr Jameson told the court how Jones and Cutter were to later become an item after she appeared in Miss Hitler 2016.
Cutter put herself forward for the competition via the VK online network the week after Jo Cox MP was murdered by a far right extremist.
The contest was organised by the far right organisation National Action, which was banned the same year after members celebrated the killing of Ms Cox.
She wore a National Action face-mask in her profile photo and called for women to ‘step up and be lionesses’ and ‘rip apart the hyenas laughing at us’.
Mr Jameson added: ‘On 24th June 2016 National Action staged, if you can believe this, a beauty contest titled Miss Hitler 2016.
‘This was, no doubt a publicity stunt to raise the group’s profile and attract more members.
‘Amusing to a teenage schoolboy, perhaps, until you look at the detail.
‘Alice Cutter entered and I think won the competition as ‘Buchenwald Princess’ and set out her mission statement in a detailed interview.
‘It is anything but funny.
‘The name ‘Buchenwald Princess’ was perhaps no co-incidence given that Jones had visited the execution room at Buchenwald the previous month and Jones and Cutter became an item.’
Mr Jameson read out an excerpt of the answers she gave in an interview for the contest, in which she said: ‘It’s so important to me that there’s a balance of feminine to masculine in the movement.
‘Without feminine involvement, what would a movement be?
‘A sad sausage fest with no appeal?
‘Women are the most important figures when it comes to teaching and raising the next generation to be strong and proud.
‘Nurturing is not a weak role, it is essential.
‘I don’t want this horrendous cycle of sanctioning the demise of our own race for the benefit of others to continue due to women falling victim to cultural Marxist propaganda.
‘We need to step up, be the lionesses we ought to be and rip apart the hyenas laughing at us as we get raped, beaten, brainwashed and de-feminised en masse.
‘Hyenas have no place in our pride and they never will.’
The court heard Jones and Cutter become an item after she appeared in Miss Hitler 2016
The court also heard Jones was arrested at a white supremacist event in Swansea in March, 2016, and fined for throwing a flare in the street
The four defendants are charged with membership of the group between December 17, 2016 and September 5, 2017 after it was banned by then-Home Secretary Amber Rudd.
Cutter, of Halifax, West Yorks. and Scothern, of Nottingham, remain on bail, while Jones, of Halifax, and Jack, of Birmingham, West Midlands are in custody.
The court also heard, National Action members superimposed their faces onto characters from Quentin Tarantino’s ‘Reservoir Dogs’ film in a meme shared between the group, the court heard.
The jury were told Jones was featured in the image as ‘Mr Angry’ due to his ‘intense interest in guns and knives’.
Mr Jameson added: ‘On November 4, 2016, an image finds its way onto Scothern’s mobile of six National Action men dressed from Quentin Tarantino’s Reservoir Dogs.
‘To ‘Mr Pyro’s’ right is the first defendant, Jones, under the name ‘Mr Angry.’
‘This is the same Jones who gave the Nazi salute in the execution room in Buchenwald and who had an intense interest in guns and knives.
‘You will have to decide whether the epithet ‘Mr Angry’ was apt.
‘Jones is a National Action die-hard. He was a far right activist since his late teens, being part of the youth wing of the British National Party.
‘He formed a relationship with Alice Cutter in 2016 and the couple moved in together in West Yorkshire in 2017.
‘During the banned phase you will hear that Jones was a member of the inner chat group strictly reserved for National Action leadership under the name ‘Granddaddy Terror’.’
Birmingham Crown Court was also told how Cutter complained of anxiety and chest pains when National Action was banned.
Mr Jameson said: ‘On December 12, 2016, Jones alerts Cutter to the possibility of terrorism raids
‘The panic was well-founded and began to spread.
‘On December 12, 2016, Parliament gave a public indication that National Action would be banned by the end of that week.
‘At 11.58am, Cutter messaged Jones as follows: ‘I suggest you get your arse home asap and make sure everything is wiped’.
‘At 1.13pm Cutter messaged again: ‘No way to truly clean up my iPad. Or phone even.
‘At 1.14pm Cutter messaged ‘I wish I could call I’m really sick today cause of it to the point where I’ve got such bad anxiety I’m dry heaving and having stabbing pains in my chest’.
‘Given that Cutter denies ever having been a member of National Action, you may wonder what was so worried about wiping her iPad and mobile?’
The court also heard Scothern had a vile meme on his phone showing piles of ash with the words ‘dead jew child’.
The antisemitic image appeared on his mobile on December 9, 2016, just days before the extremist group he is accused of belonging to was banned.
All of the defendants deny the charges. Cutter and Scothern are pictured outside of Birmingham Crown Court
Mr Jameson said Scothern’s father thought he had been ‘groomed’ and ‘brainwashed’.
He added: ‘News of the imminent ban parked an explosive exchange of texts between Scothern and his father.
‘The latter warned his son he risked being stabbed or sent to prison.
‘Scothern replied ‘I’d rather [be] stabbed than submit to my enemies and allow my continent to be given to invaders where the f**k is your honour and pride’.
‘His father responded ‘you sound a bit brainwashed are you being groomed’.’
Mr Jameson said the final defendant Garry Jack was an ‘out and out fanatic’ who wanted to be part of the National Action ‘revolution.’
He told the jury: ‘Jack said he was willing to sacrifice time, relationships and friendships to become part of a revolution.
‘Within a fortnight of joining, Jack was chosen for the stickering attack on Aston University.
‘Jack was, we say, was connected to almost everyone in National Action including his co-Defendants, Cutter, Jones and Scothern.
‘In the post-proscription phase, Jack, or ‘Rump Steak’ continued as an active member of National Action.
‘His mindset remained overtly Nazi during the banned phase of National Action.’
All of the defendants deny the charges.
The trial continues.

Should We Incorporate Social Media Into Online Education?
The following is a guest post written by Emily Johnson, freelance blogger and content writer. If you would like to submit a guest post, please contact us.
Let’s be honest: online teaching and learning is not easy. Both instructors as well as students need to deal with a number of problems that arise from the limitations of virtual education. Thus, online instruction requires novel, creative methods, which would help students acquire new knowledge and make them feel less isolated.
Does social media have the power to improve virtual education? Can it solve most of the problems both online educators as well as online students strive to overcome each and every day? Would incorporating it into virtual teaching and learning make a difference? Keep on reading to find out.
The Challenges of Online Education and How Social Media Can Help To Overcome Them
Whether you’re a teacher who considers conducting online courses or a student who got enchanted by an idea of getting a degree online and wants to try, chances are that you think there’s nothing complicated about it:
As an online tutor, all you’ll have to do is to prepare materials, upload them on a site, and then, check the progress of your students and provide them with feedback.
As an online student, all you’ll have to do is download materials from a website, study them at home, and then, do the homework and upload it on a site.
That’s it, right? Unfortunately, in practice, it’s more complicated than that. Each step of the way only seems to be easy. In reality, problems arise. Problems, which can be hard to deal with and solve.
#1 Computer literacy.
Attending and creating an online course requires a person to develop new computer skills, and while professors may already have the knowledge on how to navigate the necessary systems and programs, many students don’t. Research shows that computer literacy of university graduates is low. Thus, we can assume that computer literacy of students who just begin their studies or are in the middle of them isn’t any better.
Now, to be able to fully participate in an online course, students need to learn to use LMS (i.e. Learning Management System), be able to operate such programs as MS Word or PowerPoint, and fix computer problems if they occur. Without any technological knowledge and skills, it can be a challenge too hard to deal with.
Also, although “Help Pages” and detailed FAQ sections may be of some help, finding the necessary information and following instruction can be time-consuming, problematic, and frustrating. Thus, here’s another idea:
To allow students to contact and chat with a computer expert via a social media platform. It’s fast and easy. Moreover, this way, students can quickly improve their computer skills and feel more supported in their studies.
#2 Communication problems and the lack of human contact.
Conducting as well as participating in an online course often results in communication problems and limits for both professors as well as students. Thus, exchanging thoughts, sharing ideas, asking questions, clarifying various issues, explaining the course material, or simply talking, may take some time and be difficult (especially if it can only happen in the LMS or via email). What’s more, distance learning means learning away from a campus and student dormitories, which can affect a person’s sense of belonging to a community of students and so, make them feel isolated.
Can we improve communication between online tutors and students, and help students make friendships, share their thoughts, and interact with their peers? Yes, we can. Social media is the answer.
By promoting the use of social media and creating special groups for students on such platforms as Facebook, we can help teachers contact their students (and vice versa) quickly from any device, and we provide students with a perfect place to talk to their peers, discuss problems, share various ideas or reviews, and form a community. In fact, in a recent study, 75% of students say they feel comfortable using social networking to discuss course work with other students and 58% use it to communicate with their classmates.
Now, since students find social media platforms useful for educational purposes as well as forming friendships, incorporating social media into online education can both improve communication between students and teachers, and make students feel less lonely.
#3 Boredom, self-motivation and time-management.
Although online courses work for a number of students, many fail an online class, especially at community colleges. Why? Well, in a study conducted in 2011, students provided a number of reasons why you may fail an online course, and so, drop out of college. Here are the causes:
Motivation (35%).
Study habits (17%).
Academic preparedness (12%).
External factors (11%).
Attitudes (11%).
Instruction (10%).
Relevancy issues (4%).
What also has a negative impact on online students is the fact that e-learning may sometimes feel like e-reading. Thus, online courses lack variety and can be simply boring. After all, not everyone find reading textbooks and other materials as the best way to learn. Some students acquire new knowledge by listening to lectures. Others prefer doing things in practice. There are also those who learn best by watching videos. So, variety in virtual education is a must to keep students engaged.
Now, since online students are not self-motivated to learn, find it hard to create and stick to their own learning schedules, and often get bored, is there anything we can do to help them? As a matter of fact, yes, there is. Social media gives us a possibility to solve a number of problems that online students face.
Here are several creative ideas on how educators can use social media platforms to support their students:
Create and post inspirational and motivational quotes on Facebook, and thus, help your students achieve their goals.
Send reminders about assignments and upcoming deadlines via online platforms.
Make competitions and contests (thus, you can encourage creative writing, help students improve their skills in a number of areas, and entertain them).
Instead of uploading another longish lecture on a website for your students to read, make a video lesson on YouTube.
Ask intriguing questions in posts and so, start an online discussion (let your students engage in a conversation with you as well as their peers).
Encourage your students to make posts or tweets on a given topic for extra credit.
As you can see, social media gives a number of possibilities to help students succeed in an online class.
Final Thoughts
There are many reasons why we should incorporate social media into online education. First of all, students are familiar with it, so they will have no problems with accessing materials on social media platforms or contacting their teachers. Also, social media platforms can help students to form and maintain interactions with others. Moreover, it allows online students to ask more questions and get answers fast.
For online teachers, social media gives a lot of new opportunities as well. Teachers can easily contact their students, have more possibilities to help them acquire new knowledge as well as engage them. Also, it’s much faster, easier, and convenient to give students feedback via a social media platform than an online system.
Thus, by incorporating social media into virtual education we’ve nothing to lose, and a lot to gain.

You may search for the idol once per day.
To search for the idol, simply message the hosts asking to do so and you will be put in line. Ideally, you won’t have to wait, but please be patient; there’s more than one of you asking. This season, the idol hunt is in the “choose your own adventure” style, meaning that you will be guided through a series of choices to make, so make sure you have around 5 minutes to set aside for idol hunting.
Contestants are required to send in confessions to explain what is going on in the game at least once per round. A round is defined by the end of tribal council to the end of the next tribal council.
The hosts reserve the right to change and update rules as situations arise during the game.

Want To Make Your Video Marketing More Amazing?
You should thing about video marketing when you are a business owner. Unless your target market knows that you exist, they will turn to your competitors to meet their needs. You must stand out from your competition and give video marketing a try. The following article contains some useful information concerning video marketing.
Videos only go viral for quality content. Millions can view your videos, even if you make them without using a fancy camera. People would much rather watch a relevant video. Of course, you should still get a good video camera for professional purposes.
Keep your business relevant to today's audiences through video marketing. Invite potential and established customers to submit ideas and queries about your brand and products. You can then answer the most popular questions in a series of video clips. Send out some sample products to the chosen questions.
Most people will not want to watch videos that are more than 20 minutes long. If you have a specific product being demonstrated, the video can last as long as 20 minutes. If you are simply talking to your audience to advertise a deal or keep them up to date, your video should not exceed ten minutes.
Make videos tailored to your products; if certain ones are harder to use, make videos demonstrating their use. You will be solving the problem for those that have asked about it and for people that are going to be using it in the future as well.
When it comes to video marketing, creating the video itself is only half the battle. Promotion is just as important. When you market your videos right, you'll get ten times the attention and click-throughs. Great content only works if you get visitors to see it.
Screenshots of your business website can be used in the video. This technique will allow your viewers to see your website in action. How-to videos can also incorporate screenshots. Simply save a copy of your screenshot and use a video editing software program to include your screenshot into your videos.
Do not take the whole burden upon yourself. Sometimes you can hit a creative wall where nothing inspiring at all comes to mind. You should get ideas from employees, friends, and family for videos. Do this often to ensure you keep coming up with great content.
Develop metrics to assess whether your video marketing efforts are being successful or not. You should not assume how valuable the video will be to your customers just by guessing. However, solid data is a better measure to see if you are reaching your target. A video that has been viewed many times but doesn't generate sales is still good, but not as one that gets people to buy your product.
If you aren't good with video, you can outsource the work. Have a video contest and give prizes to the people that make the best ones. Be sure to tell people that you will be using their videos in your marketing campaign.
Remember to share the video wherever you can. Distribute it to any of your email contacts who might be interested. Blog about your videos on your website. Contact your former customers and let them know that you have new content available. Post the videos on YouTube, Facebook, or any of the other popular media-sharing domains. You need to spread the word.
You can use a video contest to increase your traffic and video content. This can be something silly such as telling a joke or doing something funny; or it can be something serious such as a demonstration or how-to video. Videos that your viewers send in are a great way to get even better acquainted with your viewers.
If you use video marketing to communicate with customers, make sure you begin with a cordial greeting. Explain who you and your business are before delving into the content of the video. When you come to the end of a video, be friendly and remind people of your name and the name of your business.
If you want to be a successful video marketer, be honest and forthright with your audience. You cannot have a hidden agenda. IF you want to sell your product tell them that. Utilize your comments to develop relationships with those who view your videos. Spend time networking with others in your industry, and become a trusted authority in your field.
Try having a video contest to boost the amount of videos your site has. This can be fun, silly or educational. Sharing user videos is a great way for your customers and you to learn more about each other.
People who do well with video marketing are good at responding to peoples' comments whenever they can. Frequently, viewers have questions about your company and what you are offering, and they need a quick response. Be sure to take advantage of the insight you can get from the comments you receive.
You should use the services of a professional translator if you are going to make a video in another language. If you market to others that don't speak your language, never use translators that you can find free online. Those who speak the native language will appreciate your effort to properly translate your videos.
Prior to creating your own videos, take a look at the videos that have been made by others. As a consumer, check out what you enjoy and what you don't. Come up with the reasons you feel a certain way about a video. Get loved ones to help with this. Use whatever information you find to make your videos successful.
Now you know, video marketing is very helpful for promoting your business. Just remember that there is work involved. Be certain to use the guidance found above as a means to achieve the best outcomes possible from video marketing. Be sure you make plans that are thorough and execute them!

Just how to Promote Your News Web Site Online and Get Quality Traffic
Promoting your news site online requires more due diligence than promoting a company that sells an actual product. Such as the name of your internet site, your domain name ought to be unique, recognizable and something that folks can simply remember. After you place up the brand and generate content, the next phase is to advertise the news articles and ensure they get read. One way is to market through social media The Odyssey Online . Social media sites like Facebook and Twitter offer opportunities for readers to directly relate to web content. Create accounts on the most popular social networking platforms. To syndicate your news prey on those services, there are a few prerequisites. Make sure that your news site posseses an RSS/Atom feed. With the RSS/Atom feed handy, create an account utilising the service "TwitterFeed." Follow the instructions and link the RSS/Atom feed to your Facebook and Twitter. Each time you publish an article, it seems on Facebook and Twitter automatically. When it's convenient, make sure you login to your accounts and talk with readers and potential readers. On Facebook fan pages, there's limited personal interactivity involving the page administrators and fans. Facebook interests more organic growth. You promote the articles in your site's fan page and watch for individuals to "like" you: that's not just a formula for success. You are able to do more with a Facebook fan page -- a whole lot more. Consider running sponsored ads for your news site. This allows your website for exposure on user profiles of those within your targeted demographic. Facebook Ads offer businesses the chance to broadcast ads centered on a specified a long time, location and interests. You will also see very detailed estimates how lots of people your ad will "reach." Those estimates comes into play handy when crafting a speech for potential advertisers. When you invest any profit Facebook Ads, consider the character of one's news site. If your news site appeals to a small or niche demographic, you must focus instead on promoting your internet site for free by utilizing Twitter and submitting your site to locate engines. Critics of the Facebook advertising program have said that Facebook ads are too discreet and not very engaging. To overcome these issues, you have to have ad copy that will emotionally invest people into reading the headlines on your own website. Think like someone at a news desk. You'll need a captivating headline and concise teaser copy that brings people to you. Consider mentioning milestones for the publication ("Over two million subscribers!") and announcing/reminding potential readers of resourceful sections (i.e. Classifieds). Your teaser copy must certanly be clear and focused using one subject. Don't hesitate to position advertisements that announce giveaways and contests held by your publication. Advertising a news site on Facebook can be trial and error, however the likelihood of gaining new visitors will increase once you purchase longer ad campaigns. Continuously tweak your ad content before you find the correct wording and demographic. Your Facebook page content needs constant maintenance. You need to populate your Facebook page with news articles regularly. Be sure to talk with your readers regularly and converse with them. Human interaction is a favorite social media marketing trend for businesses. Encourage readers and viewers never to only take a look at your content, but in addition comment and try other ways. For example, readers respond favorably to captivating visuals -- exactly like they do in print publications. Readers often react to photos of stunning and colorful landscapes, food photos, and timeless portraits that readers can relate to. It's preferred that the visuals you upload on your own Facebook page relate with articles on your own website. Followup with some text that encourages people to check out your articles and features. Connect with users who either benefit from reading the articles you publish or could be interested. As an example, if you have a write-up that includes a particular business, follow popular users that are likely to express interest in the commercial and their product, including the company'Twitter account. When you have a write-up that covers an event, follow popular users that have a strong likelihood of posting or re-tweeting event information. Interact with these users in moderation. Imagine you're at a club and you overhear people speaing frankly about something which you're interested in. The easiest way to jump in is to examine the flow of the conversation and then take part once the opportunity to do so arises. When someone asks a question about an interest featured in another of your articles, feel free to answer them with a link. People will appreciate the friendliness so long as you're centered on being resourceful and not promoting your news site directly. Remember, you're trying to promote your news site -- so being resourceful must certanly be your primary goal. Once you develop a large following or subscriber base, you will no longer should do this.

The 6 Best Ways to Showcase User-Generated Content on Social Media
Community-building and relationship-building should be an important part of your social media marketing efforts. User-generated content is one of the most effective tools to help you accomplish this goal.
User-generated content is a quick way to establish trust and engage your audience. And while relationship building should be your priority, having some extra oomph to boost your sales thanks to social doesn’t hurt either.
Most brands try to get their customers to create UGC, but then fail to actually do much of anything with it. They cross their fingers and hope that those images, videos, and reviews just being out there floating around will be enough. This is a massive lost opportunity, so in this post, we’re going to go over 6 ways you can showcase UGC on social media.
1. Create Posts Focusing on a Shared Image or Video
This is the easiest way to showcase great user-generated content, and it’s an incredibly effective one. It typically works best with user-created images or videos, which you can then share on multiple platforms. Create a strong caption if you aren’t using their original text outright, and then thank the creator with a tagged mention in the caption, too.
These posts are excellent for engagement, and also offer up an opportunity for you to share a call for more UGC. Spread the word and let users know they can be featured on your profile if they create content of their own that’s related to your brand.
2. Create Multiple-Image Posts to Share Your Customer’s Experience
If you have a lot of users who have submitted UGC all at once and with similarities in subject, you can share it all in one multiple-image post. I use this most frequently when showcasing guest experiences at an event my clients have hosted, or when multiple people are raving about the same product.
Click on the image to see the rest
When you’re using multiple image posts or combining UGC into a video slideshow, it’s still important to tag users who have contributed. They’ll want to know, and it shows that you’re giving proper credit where it’s due.
3. Share UGC In Stories
A lot of customers will share their experience with your brand in a Story instead of a conventional post. These Stories will almost certainly be fleeting, because casual users won’t typically add it to their Stories later.
Capitalize on the Story while you can. Reach out immediately when you get the notification that you’ve been tagged in a follower’s story, and ask if you can share it in your Instagram Stories. Again, the answer here is almost always yes. Since there’s a simple “Add to Story” function in direct messaging when other users mention you in theirs, this is an easy process.
I always make sure to still use a mention sticker. This way, other users can easily check out the original poster’s profile. Share this content to both Instagram and Facebook Stories for maximum impact.
4. Create Story Highlights Featuring UGC
Story Highlights allow you to significantly extend the lifespan of your Stories content, and a personal favorite use case for them is to collect and showcase UGC.
After you’ve shared the UGC Story to your own, add it to a relevant Highlight. I typically opt for creating a Highlight titled something like “What You Think” and place most the user-created content within it. Other options are to create event-specific or product-specific Highlights and then add relevant UGC to those.
Highlights will be one of the first things users see when they visit your profile, so featuring a steady stream of UGC right off the bat will endear you to potential new customers.
5. Have Followers Vote on UGC Contests
Social media contests are an excellent opportunity to both attract and feature the creation of UGC, and having a two-part contest that involves voting on user submissions is an outstanding way to promote the UGC that’s already been shared.
Contest software like WooBox or ShortStack can help you with this. Set up a landing page for customers to vote on the submissions that have been uploaded. Remind users that the entry with the most votes will win and encourage them to get as many votes as possible. This will get users sharing their entry far and wide, promoting your brand in the process.
6. Use It In Your Ad Campaigns
Social media isn’t all about organic marketing. One of the strongest use cases for your UGC will be to feature it in your ad campaigns.
This can include customer reviews and text-only captions or UGC, too. Place them in your ad campaigns and use them as social proof. Remember that customers trust peer reviews overwhelmingly more than anything that your best copywriter could draft, so using it in ad campaigns to increase sales and appeal to cold audiences is an excellent choice.
How to Find & Encourage User-Generated Content
Featuring user-generated content can only happen once you’ve actually accumulated the UGC, so I’d like  to share some tips for how to encourage its creation and find it once it’s shared.
Here are the best practices that you need to know:
1. Have clear CTAs explaining what you want users to share.
Place CTAs and instructions asking users to share their experience in your Instagram bio and create posts dedicated to creating calls for UGC.
When it comes to the instructions, be specific. More than half of all customers want brands to explain what they want to see, so saying “share your unboxing and tag us in the picture” will increase the likelihood that users do so significantly.
2. Ask users to tag you or use your branded hashtag.
This ensures that you’ll actually be able to find the content that your customers are sharing. Branded hashtags allow you to search for the UGC and if you’re tagged in a picture or video, you’ll receive a notification. Either option works.
3. Use Agorapulse to watch for it.
Agorapulse’s listening tools make the process of finding, curating, and posting UGC much easier. You can find a public post and ask for permission to feature it ad. Then you’ll get a notification when you get a response and then take the image and schedule it for publication.
4. Request permission to feature it.
This is a good rule across the board. It becomes even more important if a parent has shared a picture of their kid. A quick “This is great, would you mind if we shared?” can do wonders, and in my experience, the answer is almost always an excited yes.
Conclusion
User-generated content is an incredible asset to have. It will become most impactful when you use it to its full capacity. Sharing UGC on your channel in diverse and engaging ways will keep your audience excited. As a result, it will be easier to build relationships and trust.
Plus it doesn’t hurts that seeing UGC will actually encourage additional customers to start creating their own. This triggers an amazing cyclical effect that will advance your marketing on social media.
What do you think? How do you feature user-generated content on your social media channels? Have you used any of our strategies to leverage UGC to your benefit? Share your thoughts and questions in the comments below!

Social Media Marketing Tips The Pros Don't Want You To Know
By James Dollars
Are you looking to employ social media marketing? This is a great way to build a good reputation for yourself. You need to understand your audience to get the most from your media postings. Keep your blog entries fresh and exciting to entice your readers. When you do this, readers can have some idea when new content is coming and will be there waiting for it. This is why people subscribe to newspapers and magazines. Be sure to post consistently so that visitors will return to your site. Intriguing and engaging titles can be your company's best friend on social media, whether in your tweets, posts or YouTube videos. Whenever your titles draw in people, you stand a better chance of convincing people to go the places you want. Provide an easy to use opportunity to subscribe and follow your activity in a highly visible place on your profile. You can provide your visitors with up-to-the-minute communication by staying in touch with them through Twitter, Facebook, Linkedin or other networking services they use. Don't neglect the possibility of using multiple sites, either. If your business has a Twitter presence, engage your followers and other members of the community regularly. Remember to say thank you when your name or business is spoken about and to directly provide responses to any questions that are asked. This will build a good social relationship with those that visit your site. Additionally, this will help you establish yourself as being a genuine human being, rather than a mere business. Think about Facebook games. Imagine creating a game that features your products. Some well-known companies have been able to leverage Facebook's game functionality to create viral properties that attracted millions to their Facebook pages. Most people, of course, would have to hire a professional to actually build the game. Never-the-less, you would be the one dictating the specifics. Utilize tools like Twellow or Tweepi that are related to Twitter. These tools will help you find users in your target audience, and identify those users who are most influential. They will allow you to pinpoint which people or companies you should follow, so that they will notice you and follow your content, too. If you have a blog, configure your Twitter to automatically post links whenever you publish a new post. For more exposure, link to active bloggers who may feel inclined to reciprocate with a link from their site to yours. You will like the amount of attention you will get, and your visitors will enjoy the information you are giving them. Any comments left on the Facebook page should be replied to immediately. If someone leaves a negative comment, reply back them as well. The idea behind this is simple. People are taking the time to speak with you about your business, so the least you can do is return the favor. Respond as quick as you can to make people feel important. Ask your customers to answer a survey about their use of social media. If a large base of your followers utilize social media sites, than it is a wise idea to create your own social media site designed specifically for your brand. If your audience isn't really interested in social media sites, you may want to turn your attention to another form of marketing. If you have a blog, configure your Twitter to automatically post links whenever you publish a new post. You can also select a few of your favorite bloggers and you can post tweets and link to their blog posts. They will appreciate the exposure, and your followers will enjoy the quality content you are providing them with. A great way to get your followers involved in social media is to hold a photo contest related to your brand. Offer followers an appealing prize for the individual who submits the most entertaining and creative image featuring your products or logo. They will most likely show other people in their network these photos, which will expose them to your site and your company where they otherwise might not have known about you. You need to have more than one channel if you're using social media to market your business. Try a few different channels. In order to tap into a larger market, it's important to sign up for many different social networks. You will be able to learn how to market in a variety of places. Branding your company on social media is of critical importance. Use your company logo as your avatar or background for your profile pages. Choose one color scheme and implement it across your website and social media accounts. This increases the amount of trust your followers have in your brand. Be consistent and you can employ branding to your business's advantage. Create irresistible headlines. Social media sites can be fickle, and you cannot guarantee that other users will see anything of your post except its headline. Make your headline so compelling that readers cannot help themselves -- they just have to click! A strong headline can make the difference between being ignored and being noticed. Use social media to post coupons with expiration dates and time-sensitive promotions. Also, don't forget to put a time limit on your deals. This will give your followers the impression that they have to act immediately if they want the deals. In addition, they will probably share this deal with their own social media network. Make sure that you take the time to stay updated with your posts. Try to schedule your social media posts on a regular interval. People will regularly visit your site to stay informed. Have your computer pop up a reminder when it is time to make a new social media post. To get good reaction to your social media marketing, have your content be humorous whenever possible and appropriate. People who notice something funny in a Facebook feed are likely to pass it along electronically to their friends. That is simple, no-cost advertising for you. You no longer have to rely on drab articles and ugly ads on your page. Entertaining media can now be used to reach a huge audience in little time at all. The business owner is still responsible for supplying great products and services, but make sure you utilize the tips you've read here so you can combine them for success.

Social Media Scheduling: How to Always Be One Step Ahead
Benjamin Franklin once said, “By failing to prepare, you prepare to fail.” While it might have been a few centuries before social media existed, the same sentiment rings true to marketers and community managers today. When you make social media scheduling a priority, you plan for the future and stay one step ahead in an industry that changes so quickly.
It’s no longer about just existing on social, but being present and engaging with your audience. However, trying to organize, manage, and publish your social media content is no easy task. It takes time and investment to see results of a well-executed social media marketing strategy.
Learning how to effectively schedule social media content saves time and money, but it also makes your business adaptable and better organized. There are some nuances to learn with social media scheduling, but with the right tools, content and motivation, you’ll be a pro in no time.
Try Sprout Social’s social media publishing tools to schedule content across multiple accounts or platforms. Sign up for a free 30-day trial!
The Benefits of Social Media Scheduling
Social media scheduling provides plenty of benefits for your small business, agency or enterprise organization. The time and energy saved can mean the difference in a successful social marketing campaign.
Here are a few benefits of social media scheduling:
Reach the correct time zone: Some brands know their core audience is in different locations around the world. Taking every step to get in front of them is critical to maximize organic reach. Not only can you publish at any time, but you can also create content plans, schedule accordingly and get back to other tasks.
Post real-time updates: Whether you’re slated for a product launch or a company update, scheduling takes the stress out of social and allows you to focus on other things. Some business sales start at midnight, so why stay up and wait when you can schedule and be timely?
Reminder: routine PSN maintenance Monday, 4/3 from 10:00pm – 11:00pm Pacific time. More info: https://t.co/NJX2xGusZM

Map out your content: Along with being timely, you can work ahead with scheduling tools. Plan out your core social media content in advanced and limit same-day posting. Mapping out content allows you to be more strategic, better at targeting and ultimately post more content.
Limit promotional posts: One of the main reasons people unfollow businesses is due to overly promotional content. Stick to the 80/20 rule (80% creative and 20% promotional) to keep followers entertained and happy.
Napping is the most productive thing you can do without doing anything.
— Casper (@Casper) March 27, 2017
Consistency across platforms: An inconsistent brand voice can do more harm than good and this is true with social media as well. Maintain consistency in brand voice with scheduled content and ensure your posts won’t seem off-brand.
Social Media Scheduling Tips
It’s probably cool at this point to say you’re on board and understand the benefits to scheduling social media posts. Well, it’s just as important to know how to actually schedule content in the first place.
Native social media platforms weren’t really built for businesses in mind, which means you need a powerful social media scheduling tool. That’s why we’ll give you five tips to best schedule your social media content with a scheduling tool:
1. Adopt a Social Media Scheduling Tool for Your Most Valuable Networks
Listen–we’re going to be a little bias on what tool we think performs best for your social media scheduling needs. However, we have the software to backup our reasoning. Sprout Social’s publishing tools lets you see your scheduled content on a weekly calendar. Not only that, but our tools make it absolutely simple to publish to your favorite social media networks like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and even Instagram.
Understand what social networks perform the best for your brand and hone in on them with the insights you can gain from an all-in-one social analytics tool. As you’ll hear from us often, don’t try to tackle all your social networks at once.
Instead, focus on the few networks that actually produce results. As you build out your social content strategy, you’ll be able to tweak and alter your publishing habits to gain more brand loyalists and engaged followers.
Every business on social will have different needs, but this shouldn’t prevent you from effectively tackling the networks you need. With a powerful tool like Sprout, your scheduling needs are answered.
2. Start Filling Your Content Calendar
Once you have your tools set, it’s time to start planning. Building out your social media calendar is the best way to keep consistency, continually publish and remain agile in your industry. There are some important questions to ask when building out your calendar.
First, how many posts per day do you plan to publish and on which social networks? While each network obviously has different posting habits, the amount of followers can also make your situation unique.
For example, posting twice a day to Facebook has always been the go-to for brands. But a HubSpot study found brands that post twice a day with under 10,000 followers see fewer clicks the more they post.
And with Instagram’s latest social media algorithm, brands want the most engagement per post. This drives up the demand for quality content. If you’re wondering if your Instagram content is up to par, check out our Instagram best practices infographic!
Through collective research, CoSchedule dissected the best posting frequency from different studies. They recommended posting between these ranges depending on your audience size, content type and schedule:
Facebook: 1-2 times per day
Instagram: 1-2 times per day
LinkedIn: 0-1 times per day
Twitter: 1-51 times per day (recommended 15 per day)
Pinterest: 3-30 times per day (recommended 11 per day)
3. Know Your Different Types of Content to Publish
Each brand has unique publishing habits, but there are ways to get creative to fill up your calendar. For example, you can try to post content types for each day on a weekly basis. Here’s a small list of content types to use each week:
User-Generated Content: A simple way to highlight your power users, customers and brand loyalists is through user-generated content. You can highlight real customers and encourage others to share their product experiences with you. UGC is a nice balance between promotional content and highlighting your fans.

Industry News: Whether you’re in a so called “boring” industry or not, there’s always news. Find places on LinkedIn or Twitter to share industry news and show customers you’re an authority on the subject and stay in the know.

Behind the Scenes Content: Snapchat has made in-the-moment and behind-the-scenes content exciting for users. Brands have taken advantage of this and added weekly tours on Instagram Stories, influencer meetups on Snapchat and other behind-the-scenes content on other platforms.
Group Chats/Discussions: Twitter chats, Facebook group chats and other discussion-style formats work well at connecting your brand to users and others in the industry. You can highlight comments, questions and topics brought up in the chat and use them as discussion points for your content throughout the month.
Creative Contests: Don’t give away iPads or big screen TVs–leave that for the car dealerships. Instead, hold creative contests to get users to engage. Give out swag gift bags or small industry-related gifts to get users to participate on your social channels. Promote it each week to fill up a slot on your calendar.

Just remember not to go too far in advance with scheduling because you’ll likely lose the “freshness” of your content while sitting it on the shelf for too long.
4. Set Up a Message Approval Workflow
For agencies and enterprise businesses, message approval is critical to any social media calendar. With an approval workflow, content owners know their posts are curated, edited and on topic. Otherwise, you run of risk of scheduling content too quickly and carelessly.
Social media scheduling tools allow you to increase team efficiency through user-based permissions. That means you have only a select few that can review and approve the content before it’s published.
Creating order within a social content strategy can be more daunting than it seems. However, using approvers prevents errors, untimely content and a better workflow for all. Content strategists can easily get content approved ahead of time to ensure a full schedule is in order.
Make sure your business has a proper workflow when submitting, approving and publishing content to allow more governance from team leads.
5. Find the Best Times to Post
After your content is created, approved and ready to be published, you want to consider the best times to reach your audience. Properly scheduling social media content plays a major role in organic reach.
Building up your audience and reaching them at the right time is an art of its own. That’s why we previously collected data on the best times to post to give you a better idea of when to reach your audience. Feel free to read the entire guide to the best times to post on social media here!

Facebook: Thursday at 1 p.m. was the most efficient day and time, but data showed it was safe nearly any day between 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Instagram: The most recommended posting times include 2 a.m., 8.a.m. and 5 p.m. with the peak days between Monday and Friday.

Pinterest: The most recommended times include 9 p.m. on Friday and 2 p.m. on Saturday, along with late nights during the week.
