thinking about a dynamic

aromantic janus needs someone to be his fake boyfriend when he goes home for the holidays so his well meaning parents don't try to set him up like they inevitably do every year

roman KNOWS he's hung up on remus, and he's sick of getting dumped over his fixation, or his prioritizing remus constantly, or his tendency to say remus' name in bed

roman wants a friends with benefits thing or a steady casual hookup. someone he can sleep with who won't expect anything from him romantically bc he is Not emotionally available for romance rn.

remus has clocked that roman isn't dating? or that whatever thing he has going on with his current "boyfriend" isn't his usual lovey dovey type deal, and he wants to meet the guy bc he's worried about roman. roman SAYS he's fine and has exactly what he wants from his relationship, but remus still wants to suss the guy out and make sure his brother isn't being strung along or taken advantage of.

roman's house of cards is about to come crashing down the minute janus learns "my twin brother" and "remus" are the same fucking person.

janus knew roman was keeping something from him but honestly it wasn't any of his business for the casual thing they had going on but this is honestly WAY more interesting than he thought his evening was going to be

remus is GOING to figure out what all the loaded pauses and pointed looks between janus and roman mean. half of janus' sentences are being cut off by roman or suddenly change halfway through when roman starts making frantic "stop" hand motions.

if you want virgil can be there too because i want him to show up partway through the evening and janus to introduce remus like "this is remus, he's roman's twin brother." and for virgil to be like ?! THAT'S remus? i thought he would. look different." and remus to be like "you thought that roman's twin. would look different. twins usually look alike!" and virgil can be like "yeah i get that! still wasn't expecting it though, given," gestures to roman, "everything"

remus is going out of his mind, what does that MEAN, what has roman been telling these people about him!!!

Remus and Roman Konoe.

Half Japanese on their mothers side, they don't know their father.

Their mother is a very sweet and supportive lady, single mother of two eccentric children and she would have them no other way.

They were born, raised and currently live in Canada.

You point your fork at Roman -it has the last bite if your food on it- "I asked this in a past loop but I'm not sure how much I got out of it."

Roman purses his lips, "oookaaay?"

He sounds wary.

"I know it was our birthday yesterday but that's about it, what happened?" you ask popping the last bite in your mouth.

He lightens up, "Oh! I picked you up at noon and we hung out a little at the mall to plan a party for this weekend, had lunch then shopped a bit -that's when we got the necklaces-"

You stroke the red gem around your neck, it's smooth but slightly rough on some edges - it's nice to fiddle with.

"-We went to put most of what we got away at my apartment then drove to the pub a couple hours later -Mr Wrong gave us a small cake to share- we drank maybe a bit too much then walked back here and I put you to bed."

"Your car was at your apartment last loop" you say.

"Yeah Virge -uh that's one of my my roommates- went to get it this morning cause they needed it for a bit" Roman tells you.

"How is that dreadful little emo?" Janus very pointedly nonchalantly inquires.

Roman side glances him, "they're fine."

"Mm, good good."

Well that was weird.

Anyway, back to business.

"What the fuck then? whatever made this happen has to have happened yesterday but we were together all day!"

Roman sighs, "I don't get it either the only times when we weren't was for bathroom breaks."

"We should go back to the pub" you decide.

"Not this loop we won't" Janus says, "we're going to try this sleeping thing and also see if your room is impervious to the looping."

"Sure sure" you wave off.

"Ah I forgot" Roman pipes up and walks off, he comes back with your phone.

Janus cleans up his and your mess as Roman hands you the phone.

"Alright let's see what secrets this cuck is holding" you press a button and your lockscreen pops up.

Roman peers over your shoulder, "since when do you have a password on your phone?"

"How should I know - do you know what it could be?"

Roman shakes his head, "no but I am flattered that you made my art your picture - I suppose I did draw that for you though."

You look back at the drawing, it's a digital drawing with splatterd swirled neons on a black background - scattered about it are teeth, eyes, and other assorted gore circling a skull; the skull has a green pinprick in the left eye and a red in the right.

Janus stands on your other side to also look at your phone.

"Do you know what my password is?" you ask hopefully.

"No, I can tell you though that I too am surprised about a password being there."

"Damnit" you look back at the screen, eight digits.

What could it be?

and roman finds HIS OWN DIARY and is like i'll read this, SURELY it will help me get some of my memories back or orient myself in my life.

and it's just. SO MANY PAGES about pining for remus. how handsome he looked in x outfit, how pretty he is when in the kitchen, how talented he is, how whoever he ends up with will be SO lucky, how much he wishes he was brave enough to kiss him

and so roman is like i've been given a new chance on life, i have to shoot my shot with this guy!

and so obviously he kisses remus. and remus is like WHOA THERE, you're very confused and possibly concussed, but i'm your brother

and roman. is like "what? no that can't be right. it says in my diary that i've been in love with you for years???"

and remus is, understandably like "YOUR DIARY SAID WHAT"

Whoooooooooomst of you fine remrom enjoyers would partake in a little fun thing I want to do.

I want to do an interactive storytelling text based -and poll based- game!

Every post will be accompanied by a poll on which you choose your favorite answer and I will come up with the next post and therefore the story progression!

You sigh, run your hand through your hair tugging it pulling your head backwards as you do so, "uuuuhhg yeah you're telling me."

"I just don't know what to do" Roman whispers.

'There is one thing we can do' you think.

"There is... something I can do" you say.

Roman looks to you suspicious.

"I can just, kkkkrch" you say while swiping your thumb across your already scarred neck.

Romans eyes widen - he grabs your wrist and pulls you in a hug, "no don't do that to yourself."

"Why? I'll just regenerate back to this morning" your flippant tone doesn't help.

Roman holds you tighter, "Remus, you've already died two too many times - I don't want you to suffer again."

You pat Roman's head, "eh it's kinda like it never even happens when I wake up."

Roman backs up and touches the scar on your neck, trails down to your elbow at that scar and further down to your hand where you plunged that knife in.

"It's not though, your body is reflecting your trauma - there's got to be side effects to this."

You shrug, "it's not like I know the rules - I didn't make this happen."

Roman purses his lips, "there has to be a catalyst though right?"

"Probably, but no memories don't help."

There's silence as Roman thinks, "maybe we can find clues in your room or phone or something?"
