[8:09 pm]
(cw: f!reader)
The car rumbled down the street, a cold silence filled the car. You started out the passenger window while husband!Renjun looked at you from the corner of his eye.
It had been a rough afternoon for the two of you. Renjun failed to tell you about a huge gala he had for work that night even though you had already both agreed to celebrate your wedding anniversary tonight. Your anniversary celebration that had already rescheduled since Renjun would be out of town. You knew this wasn’t his fault exactly, he couldn’t control when he had to leave for work but the idea of spending your first wedding anniversary alone didn’t feel nice.
The gala though, that was his fault entirely. He swore he told you but there were no texts, emails, and nothing in the calendar you both kept up to date. Not to mention that he had told you it was black tie with only 3 hours until he had to be there.
You had wasted half an hour of that time arguing, another hour and a half getting ready and the last hour walking around department stores and boutiques looking for a dress that fit the dress code. And Renjun had been a major pain in your ass the entire time!
He would excitedly tell you found something and when you turned he would be holding a bright, gaudy dress with entirely too many ruffles. He did that countless times and each time you fell for it. You were already annoyed that he had waited until the last second, annoyed that the reservations you had planned were now useless, and annoyed that you had to spend your honorary wedding anniversary shmoozing Renjun’s coworkers.
He tried to make you laugh, tried to compliment you, talk to you like everything was ok but you wouldn’t budge! He sighed, fingers tapping at the steering wheel nervously, “you really do look beautiful. That dress fits you perfectly.”
You huffed like a grumpy child, “no, it doesn’t. It’s too long and the chest is too big.”
“Well, I can’t tell, you look gorgeous.”
“Another thing you don’t pay attention to,” you murmur under your breath.
Renjun sighs, pulling into the front of the venue and sliding out of the car to give the keys to the valet. The valet gets to your door before he can, but he can feel his nerves calm when you hook your arm through his. He tried to help you fix the skirt of your dress but you swatted his hands away.
He groaned under his breath, fine, if you wanted to be petty, he could be even more petty. He knew he messed up, but geez woman! How many time were you going to make him apologize?!
He straightened out his bow tie and entered the venue with you on his arm. He smiled at one of his bosses and walked over, “Mr. Lim! So good to see you again! I don’t know if you remember but this is my darling wife.” His hand squeezed your waist as he drawled out the word “darling.” You smiled and introduced yourself to the older man, standing by as the ever interested wife as they both made small talk.
Every introduction that followed was the same. You were Renjun’s beloved wife, his dear wife, his sweet wife, the wife he adored and with every introduction you felt the genuine disappointment from earlier melt into mild, playful annoyance.
After Renjun had had enough of introductions and led the two of you to your seats you finally took the bait. “I know what you’re doing Mr. Huang, just because you describe me with all these cute little adjectives doesn’t mean you’re forgiven.”
Renjun hides a smile from behind the rim of his glass, “I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
“Oh! This is my precious wife who I love with my whole heart and soul, do you remember her?” You mimic in a low growl.
Renjun laughs brightly, “I don’t sound like that! And I didn’t gush about you like that.”
“You basically did. Now everyone here knows who wears the pants in this marriage.”
Renjun grabs your hands and waits for you to look at him. When you do you find his gaze soft and apologetic, “I really am sorry. It completely slipped my mind and in the future I will absolutely stay on top of keeping you informed. Can you find it in that big, beautiful heart of yours to forgive me?”
You fiddled with the wedding band on his ring finger, “I’m more annoyed that you kept pulling hideous dresses when we didn’t have a lot of time to get here.”
“I will never, and I mean never, give you fake fashion advice again.”
“Well, I’m sorry for throwing a fit about it too. I accept your apology, my favorite husband.”
“Hey! I’m your only husband. Forever.”

bully 00z + nerd reader
⋆౨ৎ˚⟡˖ ࣪
bully 00z who will corner you in the middle of an empty classroom before tugging your school skirt down and giving you a wedgie, completely unaware that you got wet from such until you accidentally let out a moan. and after getting over the initial shock they start to tease further, mocking you, calling you a nerd for liking panties up your ass. jeno gets a brilliant idea to whip his phone and record the moment. you protest, asking them to stop recording you in such a humiliating state, but it only fuels their fire. after all, you do enjoy this, panties dampening as they rub against your clit. the camera moves towards your face, as renjun tells you to look into it and call yourself a slut who loves being humiliated. you try to protest, telling them you’re anything but, they just laugh, yanking them up further until your back in arched. you let out a string of embarrassing whimpers before they give it one final stretch, right over your head, an atomic wedgie. jaemin uses his school tie to restrict your hands behind your back so you can’t pick it out, while haechan makes sure to keep your skirt flipped up so that your ass is on full display, giving it a few smacks before they exit the classroom, leaving you all alone, not caring who ends up seeing or how you’re getting out of this mess.
a/n: this lowk a mess but it’s 5am and i can’t get bully 00z giving me an atomic wedgie out of my head so please bask in this thought with me

너는 나의 orbit, you're my one and only / 밤하늘을 함께 fly with you
Tumblr media
“come on, just one kiss,” you whine as HUANG RENJUN tucks the blankets a little tighter around your body. he raises a knowing eyebrow as he looks down at you, purposefully making sure your entire body is tightly wrapped in the softest blankets in your apartment. “please?”
“you’re sick, y/n,” he chuckles. renjun slides the tissue box across the table, propping it upwards in your direction. “you’ve been coughing on me all morning. i’m not gonna let you spread your germs any farther.”
“i haven’t been coughing on you.” despite your words, your body seems to immediately betray you. your eyes flutter shut as another series of coughs racks through you. the force rattles your lungs and forces you to breathe in through short, painful gasps. your throat burns painfully as you tuck your face into the crook of your arm, falling back until your head rests against the edge of the couch once again. “just be glad i’m not throwing up on you.”
“trust me, i am.” renjun grimaces, though he doesn’t let you see. the fabric of his sweatpants rustles against your rug as he kneels down beside you. his skin feels cool against your skin as he rests his palm against your forehead. “your fever is getting worse,” he sighs. “i want you to take some more medicine after you eat.”
you groan quietly; the sound is muffled by the fabric of renjun’s stolen sweatshirt that hangs loosely off of your frame. “if you’re gonna force me to take more medicine, can i at least have a kiss?”
renjun sighs softly as he relents. he quietly chuckles, shaking his head as he leans down. your eyes flutter shut in anticipation before his lips brush against your forehead - feather-light and cool against your feverish skin. his touch is gone almost as soon as you feel it, leaving you with flushed cheeks and a rapid heartbeat. “that’s all you get until you feel better.”
“tease,” you huff.
renjun chuckles in response. he intertwines his fingers with yours before leaning down pressing a final chaste kiss against your knuckles. “don’t worry, baby. i’ll make you some congee. maybe it’ll soothe your throat.”
you smile softly, squeezing his hand in return. “thank you, jun.”

I’ve never met someone with more of a beautiful soul.
Your eyebrows furrowed as you reread the pink note stuck to your fingers. You’d taken it off the bathroom mirror after it had caught your eye.
You’d just woken up, still slightly mentally-blurry from your previous sleep, so it was a little hard to grasp the details.
It was a tough night, going to bed at around 4am and then waking up periodically. However, your boyfriend had let you sleep in, trying his best to be quiet while getting ready. It was almost noon now.
Wait, where was your boyfriend?
Did he have practice? Did he have a shoot you weren’t aware of? Was he just doing some last-minute grocery shopping though you’d gone not even two days ago? And, he always saved mundane tasks for the two of you to do together.
Sure, you needed the sleep—but, not that bad.
You make me feel seen and heard.
“Huh?” You let out a confused sound at another note, following your bedroom door. “What the hell is this?”
And when you turned it around, more Sharpie cursively flowed in letters: I admire your strength and resilience, you keep me grounded.
Now, your bottom lip had started to pout-out, your eyes welling ever so slightly. Maybe you were emotional from just having been asleep, and then waking up alone. However, maybe you were emotional from the fact that nobody has ever said these things to you—granted they were written down, but still.
I didn’t believe in soulmates until I met you.
You inspire me to do better.
Thank you for always being there for me and taking care of me in my times of need. I’d like to return the favor someday.
It’s impossible to not be drawn to you.
One cheesy line after another was added to the stack of pink notes left on your path, lining the hallway to the open concept kitchen-living room your shared apartment had.
You make me feel important. I hope you know you are too.
Your generosity never goes unnoticed. Thank you for being so giving.
Your smile lights up any room, I’m glad I get to see it everyday—truly contagious.
I love you like the moon loves the sun.
You are my yellow. The rainbow has never looked so bright.
And there he was, mindlessly scrolling with his head down, back pressed to the countertop. He hadn’t even noticed you walk in, standing in awe of what he’d done.
Thank you for choosing me.
“W-what is this?” You held the sticky notes up with your hand, his head leveling with your view. He smiled instantly, “Why’d you do all this Renjun?”
He approached you, squeezing your stunned frame against his chest.
“Good morning, sleepyhead.” He laughed, casually explaining, “I thought you were going to sleep all day—I got bored waiting.”
He then pressed a light kiss to your temple, taking the pink paper from off you and sifting through them. Your eyes had been silently dropping salty-water, the devotion to you sending you into autopilot.
You’d never had someone so in love with you, who could’ve imagined?
“Seriously though, it’s things I’ve never said but need to.” Your eyes met his, though you could make up distinct features only through the tears, “Everyday you’re with me, you make it worth living. Thank you for choosing me—when I'm with you I never feel second place.”

Tumblr media
it’s nearly midnight when your phone buzzes insistently. you’re half-awake, tangled in blankets, when you see his name on the screen. renjun.
a few months back, things had reached a breaking point. you and renjun were always drawn together like magnets; his wild spontaneity, his relentless desire to prove himself, even when it hurt him. you remember the night it all fell apart very clearly. he’d gotten into one of his impulsive stunts again, this time risking far more than just a bruised ego. after a long, heated argument in your cramped apartment, words were flung that cut deeper than any physical wound ever could. you’d told him, over and over, that you couldn’t keep patching him up, that you deserved better than a continuous cycle of apologies and reckless behavior. and in his stubborn, hurt pride, he walked away, leaving behind a silence filled with swarming questions.
now, as you lie in your darkened room, the memories of those bitter days mix with a reluctant warmth. despite everything, a part of you still cares so much that every time his name lights up your screen, you wonder if maybe, just maybe, there’s a way back from the wreckage.
tonight happened to be one of those nights. his name popping up on your phone screen, that single and quick-lived flash of hope. you sit up, pulling the covers around you, and answer the call with a hesitance you can’t quite hide.
“hey.” you say, voice softer than you intended.
the background of your past that was filled with missed opportunities for healing and the pain of watching someone you loved self-destruct, lingers like an uninvited guest. renjun’s voice, when it finally comes through, is low and a little rough, like it’s carrying all the weight of the mistakes he made. “i need a ride,” he admits, the words simple but filled with slight shame.
despite every instinct screaming at you to let the night pass without reopening old wounds, you find yourself already getting out of your bed. the familiar pull is irresistible, even though you know it means stepping back into a book you thought was closed.
as you drive through the quiet streets, memories swirl around you of passionate nights that turned bitter, of promises broken by his stubborn pride, of a love that was as fierce as it was flawed. every mile takes you further into the past, where the reasons for your breakup linger in the back of your mind, reminding you of both the beauty and the chaos that defined your time together.
the address he sends lead you to a nearly empty gas station on the outskirts of town. you pull up and spot him leaning against the wall near the pumps, looking more disheveled than you remember. his jacket is smeared with dirt, and there’s a faint, fresh scratch on his cheek, like he had collided with concrete rather than simply scraped himself. his motorcycle, now a twisted mess of metal and broken glass, lies a few feet away.
you roll down the window and can’t help but ask, “what happened to you?”
renjun lifts his gaze to meet yours. there’s a mix of apology and defiance in his eyes as he forces a small smile. “i crashed my motorcycle,” he says quietly. “i guess i lost control on a turn.”
your heart clenches as you take in the evidence. the scratch on his cheek, the dented side mirror of his bike (which was only the least of the damage), and the way he keeps subconsciously touching his jaw as if to check if the pain is real. “renjun, you could’ve seriously hurt yourself. i mean, fuck you already did,” you chide, voice edged with worry as you motion to his face.
“i’m fine,” he protests, but you can hear the uncertainty beneath his words.
he opens the door of your car and sits down with a small wince, which you barely registered with how good he hid it. as you drive off, the silence in the car is heavy with unsaid words and memories of better days. the days when you two were inseparable.
after a few miles, you finally break the silence. “so… why’d you call me instead of, i don’t know, someone else?”
he glances at you, the dim streetlights reflecting in his eyes. “because i knew you’d come,” he says softly. “…and i needed to see you.”
you swallow hard, fighting the mix of exasperation and lingering affection. “you need to stop doing stupid shit like that, renjun. you’re gonna get hurt one day.”
he falls silent for a long moment, then murmurs, “maybe i do, but i can’t help it.”
pulling over at a quiet overlook, you both sit in silence for a long moment. the city lights twinkle far off, the quiet rumble of an airplane doing little to fill the silence between you. the mixed emotions you felt overwhelmed you. a blend of nostalgia, regret, and the faint hope of starting over that was always there. the night felt like a threshold, a moment suspended between the past that hurt you and a future that might mend those wounds.
finally, renjun turns to you, eyes vulnerable in the low light. “i know i made a mess of things,” he says quietly. “i know i hurt you, and i’ve been trying to fix myself since… since i walked away.”
you search his face, remembering the nights filled with both laughter and tears, the arguments that left scars deeper than any physical wound. “i didn’t come after you because i couldn’t keep doing this,” you confess, voice soft. “i couldn’t keep fixing something that you kept breaking over and over.”
he reaches out, his hand trembling slightly as it finds yours. “i’m sorry. i’m trying to be better—if you can give me another chance.”
your heart pounds at his words, a mix of old pain and new possibility. it’s not just about the motorcycle crash or the scratch on his cheek. it’s about every moment that led to this point, every time you both failed to protect what you had. the love. and now, in the quiet vulnerability of the night, it feels like you were standing at the door of a second chance.
renjun spoke again, his voice trembling ever so slightly. “i know i shouldn’t have called you. i know i shouldn’t be putting you in this position.”
you study his face; so familiar yet changed by time and regret and for a moment, every old wound feels raw again. “renjun,” you say gently, “i’ve been trying to move on. i thought i was over all the chaos between us.”
his hand tightens around yours ever so slightly. “i really have been trying to fix myself. and… i still care about you. more than i ever wanted to admit.”
the vulnerability in his eyes makes your breath catch. you’re no stranger to his reckless ways, to the endless cycle of trouble he stumbles into. yet here, in the quiet of the night, the man before you seems more fragile than ever.
“so, what now?” you ask softly. “do we just keep doing this? coming back to each other whenever things go wrong?”
renjun’s gaze falters for a second before he meets your eyes again. “maybe… maybe we try to do it right this time.”
your heart skips a beat. it sounds like he’s asking for a second chance, a chance to mend what was broken. you know too well that letting him back in means risking everything. the heartache, disappointment, and the familiar chaos of his world. but as you look at him, you realize that letting go never felt any safer.
“i’ve missed you,” he repeats, voice barely a whisper.
you take a steadying breath, the weight of the past months lifting just a little. “i’ve missed you too,” you confess, “even when i thought i was better off without you.”
there’s a long pause, filled with the sound of your beating hearts and the quiet hum of the car.
“let’s try again,” he says, his tone tentative but hopeful. “i promise, no more stupid shit. i promise i won’t run away from us this time.”
you squeeze his hand in response, the decision settling between you both like a fragile truce. “i promise to try,” you say, voice soft and resolute.
and as you squeeze his hand, you realize that despite the scars and the mistakes, the journey back to each other might just be worth every risk.

Domestically, Painfully, Loving.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Pairing: Renjun x Female Reader wc: 2.5k+
Summary: You and Renjun have been roommates for the past two years and apparently the roommate dynamic you thought you had was not very roommate-y
Genre: suggestive, fluff, he and MC are painfully domestic.
Warnings: suggestive at the end/mentions of sex (like I literally just say sex a lot)
˖⁺‧₊˚♡˚₊‧⁺˖˖⁺‧₊˚♡˚₊‧⁺˖˖⁺‧₊˚♡˚₊‧⁺˖˖⁺‧₊˚♡˚₊‧⁺˖˖⁺‧₊˚♡˚₊‧⁺˖˖⁺‧₊˚♡˚₊‧⁺˖˖⁺‧₊˚♡˚₊‧⁺˖
It was for sure one of those mornings. You didn’t wake up to any of your alarms, your windows were drawn, and your bed was too warm to get out of. The thought of skipping the 9 am you had was now in bright bold letters in the forefront of your brain and honestly seemed like the move.
Then all of a sudden I hear this grating voice…. Just kidding it’s just Renjun. You hear him shuffling around in the hallways outside dangerously close to your door. You both had sworn to not lock your doors if it was a regular night because He had claimed it was a safety hazard.
You heard the door knob jingle, and then devastatingly open to Him in all his glory. He was fully dressed minus shoes and had the annoyed look he usually carries when you piss him off.
“It is almost 8:00 and if you don’t get up you’re going to miss your class,” He said sternly as he invited himself into your room and went to your closet
“I think I might just take the L on this one and miss it” you yawned and rolled over turning your back to him.
“No, and please don’t ever say “take the L” in front of me ever again,” Renjun said as he dug through your closet.
“Sorry, Your Highness” your voice strained as you slumped over in bed attempting to get up.
“I put clothes on your chair, I’m giving you 20 minutes and then we are leaving,” He said as he grabbed your wrists pulling you the rest of the way out of bed. Leaving you to your own devices after.
Renjun and you had lived together for 2 years now and this was the dynamic. Renjun helped you keep your shit together, and simultaneously you helped him not lose his. A perfect balance.
On your desk chair was a white sweatshirt and matching white sweatpants. One of the sets you had invested in after Renjun had introduced you to the world of “nice sweats” and on top of the sweat suit was a black sports bra from your dresser. There weren’t a lot of boundaries between you at this point, to be honest.
After changing you trudged into the bathroom where he was standing finishing his hair. Nudging him with your hip to move you slid in closer to the outlet of your hair. Renjun grabbed your hair into a ponytail and pulled it off your neck.
“I think you should wear your hair in a claw clip, it shows off your neck” You blinked at both of your reflections in the mirror with zero energy to fight him, nodding in agreement. Renjun then grabs the brush from the side brushing your hair out, and then twisting it into the claw clip.
“Alright there you go,” Renjun said patting your hip, moving you out of his way to finish his hair.
“I already ordered coffee so we gotta go soon, go put your shoes on, and do the Jordan's not the Converse,” Renjun ordered you around as he blow-dried his hair.
Finishing the multiple tasks he gave you, you were now standing at the door waiting for him to come escort you to the kitchen like a goddamn kindergartener to school. Now joining you in the entryway putting his shoes on. He was wearing a pair of loose-fit jeans and a white button-up on top of a T-shirt.
This contrast between you two is crazy.
You two both lived a very domestic life. When you had moved in together you strikingly got along really well. Renjun had slowly but surely worked himself to be at the forefront of important people in your life. He was just a very considerate person in his way and it showed with those he cared about….which you just happened to be!
Does he dress you up like a little doll sometimes.. yes! And like who doesn’t like that shit, domesticity in a household is like crack to weak-minded, and hey bitch.. I am the weak-minded.
Getting to campus you departed from Renjun and walked towards the lecture. Finding your spot in the auditorium and going to your friends who have saved it for you.
“Good morning darling, look who showed up today” Giselle nudged your shoulder laughing,
“And look! Her boyfriend got her coffee, god bless the lovely couple”  Karina traced her finger along the big RENJUN written on the side of your coffee cup.
“Oh shut up, he’s not my boyfriend. He just buys the coffee in the morning” You shrugged taking a sip. Putting your coffee down meeting eyes with your two best friends silently staring at you with their eyebrows knit.
“What do you mean he isn’t your boyfriend” Giselle asked voice flat
“Renjun is not my boyfriend… we just live together,” You said again confused as to why you were being questioned.
“Y/n are you kidding….?” Karina spoke up over Giselle’s shoulder sharing the same confused look “I watched you two hold hands the other day while walking home, like clasp your fucking fingers and hold hands” Gisele gripped Karina’s hand to demonstrate.
“Yeah because I was tired and need to keep up with him while we were walking he’s fast for a little guy” you explain trying to mediate whatever the fuck was now happening
“Oh, you poor poor girl” Karina now pushing herself fully into the conversation “y/n people do not act like that with people who they aren’t dating plus you two live together… you do know that everyone thinks you two are dating right?”
You felt your hole clench at that statement. Hole clench, toe curl, and heart drop. “What do you mean people think we are dating..?” Your voice sounded more pathetic than you wanted it to be.
“Y/n you two are probably two of the most domestic people I know, I watched you and Renjun hug for a solid two minutes yesterday and then he fixed your hair after. Who the fuck does that. Other than two people who are having painfully loving sex?” She asked.
You two weren’t having painfully loving sex! Neither of you were having sex! You would know, the walls are thin.
“But we aren’t having painfully loving sex” you pouted still confused
“And that’s fucked up for you, and your vagina!” Karina rubbed your shoulder.
“Be honest with yourself Y/n would you have painfully loving sex with Renjun if you had the chance?” Giselle asked
And just like that, your world fucking crashed in. Because you WOULD! You would have painfully loving earth-shattering war of worlds universe colliding sex with Renjun! Your body was in a sense of shock and you felt your eyes stuck open wide at the sudden realization you would bone your roommate and would maybe like to be in a grossly domestic relationship with him.
“I think we broke her” Karina waved her hand in front of your face and snapped.
“I think I have a crush on Renjun” you whispered in disbelief.
“Substantial realizations here before 9 am ladies and gentlemen” Giselle clapped as if your now mental breakdown was an achievement.
“I think I need to go home right now and I think I need to go rethink everything that has happened to me for the past two years,” You said in a frantic whisper as you packed the rest of your things and left the lecture hall 5 minutes before class was supposed to start. Ignoring what Karina and Giselle were saying trying to get you to pause your mental breakdown and sit back down for geology
Fuck geology I'm having a crisis!
Speed walking out of the lecture hall it still felt like you had a cold bucket of water dumped on you, and then someone pushed you down a flight of stairs too. How had you not realized you had a crush on him? You two did almost everything together, you did almost everything together!!!!
Turning the corner and stopping dead in your tracks making eye contact with the devil himself, renjun. His eyes widened at first meeting yours, and then brows furrowed in confusion. You had two choices right now; run away OR admit defeat and face him. Running away seemed like the best option but you would have to face him later that night at the apartment and currently with the realization you were going through, you didn’t want to have to face him to explain why you ran away.
The familiar pair of brows excused himself from his friends and walked up to you with a look of concern painting his features.
“Aren’t you supposed to be in science right now? Where are you going” he asked, the worry evident in his voice. Making your stomach twist into knots.
“I uh.. don’t feel great so I think I’m just going to raincheck on classes today” you spoke not making eye contact with him once. Your eyes thought immediately shooting to meet his as he rested his hand on your forehead, and then slowly moved it to cup your cheek.
“You do feel a bit warm” his voice was still laced with concern. Your face was warm, but that was due to the fact you were screaming on the inside from your roommate caressing your face to see if you were sick. “I don’t have a lecture for another 30 minutes but I can miss it I’ll take you home!” Renjun said and reached to grab your wrist to drag you towards his car.
your wrist was tingling from the contact, and the thought of mind-blowing sex was now on the forefront of your conscious “NO *cough* no! I am fine, I’m going to take the bus and probably stop for some…tea! On the way home”
You don’t drink tea.
His hand released your wrist and he scanned your face skeptically. “You don’t drink tea though”
fUCK!
“Well, I just figured a good time to start! Being sick and all! *cough cough* wow! Okay well, I’m gonna go I will see you later!” Your sentence slowly lost control towards the end, you turned around and booked it to the bus stop, not even turning to see if he said bye or was still looking.
It had been 2 years of you two living together, how did you just realize now? And people already thought you two were dating? Does everyone think we fucked?
Does he think we are dating??
Does Renjun think we are dating?
You two do regular roommate stuff, He literally dressed you this morning and did your hair… HE DRESSED YOU AND DID YOUR HAIR. Oh holy fuck oh god oh what the fuck
Were you two dating? We we dating???
As soon as you got home from the bus you paced the living room for a good 45 minutes trying to rethink the last two years and what may have been perceived as you two dating, and so far there was a lot.
Renjun and you frequently hold hands, you both purposely created school schedules that ended and started around the same time each other, and you have both met each other’s families. The list fucking continues.
To be quite honest you weren’t sure what the reality was at all now. Renjun’s class ended at 12 and it was 12:15 so he would be home any minute.
The lock clicked and you watched as the door opened to Renjun, Walking in and smiling at you.
“How are you feeling? You ran away before I asked you anything else” He asked as he took his shoes off, but continued to hold eye contact, returning to that same look he had earlier when you had sold the idea of you being sick.
Ripping the bandaid off you said it
“Are we dating?” The question sounded like a scream in the quiet apartment.
Renjun paused and stood back up
“If that is what you wanna call it..?” He said shrugging
What do you mean ‘if that is what you wanna call it’
“Wait.. so you thought we were dating?” Your body began to tense at the prospect of you not being aware of your relationship status for the past two years
Renjun looked away like he was thinking and tilted his head “Well no… But I don’t act the way I act with you with anyone else, I just figured we weren’t putting a label on anything” He said walking closer to you and sitting on the couch in front of you “You haven’t seen anyone, and haven’t expressed that interest in doing so and neither have I and to be very fair quite literally everyone thinks we are dating” he laughed at his last part of his sentence as you were melting into a small puddle in the middle of your living room.
“Oh” was the only word able to make it out of your mouth as your state of shock had taken over your entire body.
“I mean we already live together, it would honestly be quite convenient for us to be dating” Renjun added seemingly unaware of the turmoil you were still in.
“But Karina said that we look like a couple who has painfully loving sex, and we aren’t having painfully loving sex though! We haven’t even kissed!” Did you whine at your roommate-boyfriends? Non-chalantness about the topic.
“Well, we can. It doesn’t define a relationship, but if painfully loving sex is what you want then we can make it happen” His voice garnered a new lilt to it as soon as the prospect of coochie became a distant goal
‘Hold on PLEASE I’m so lost” You threw your arms up in surrender now confused as to what you had gotten yourself into.  “So you are actually into me?” You questioned
“Yes, very” well damn.
“Oh okay, well yeah me too” you responded
“Sick,” He said as he began to take his shirt off.
“WOAH” the screech leaving your mouth before you could catch it
“Painfully loving sex remember?” He said as he moved across the living room to grab you by the waist. “Would you be interested in some painfully loving sex, and for me to be your boyfriend officially?” His thumbs rubbed circles into your hips as he asked.
Now your coochie was for sure in the mix, as much as you wanted to scream and claw at him like a feral animal, you kept it in.
“That would be very nice yes! And yes I would love that” you decided to say instead.
His hands traveled from where they sat on your hips and landed under your thighs, picking you up and your legs clasping around his waist. And your hands made it to both sides of his his face bringing his lips to yours.
It felt like two years of sharing beds and dangerously domestic actions all culminating in this sloppy kiss. His teeth teased your bottom lip and took it with him gently when he pulled away and then released. Your chest heaving from the lack of air, and your face red from the situation you were in
“My room or yours.”

THE COLD METAL BITES INTO YOUR SKIN,
sending a shiver up your spine as you regain consciousness. The lights flicker on and off, dimming the room. You blink, trying to make sense of your surroundings, but the room feels unfamiliar. You’ve never been here before.
Leather straps pin your wrists and ankles to the table, the edges digging into your flesh as you struggle against them. Panic surges through you as the smell of antiseptic and iron fills your nose.
“Ah, you’re awake.”
Renjun’s voice is soft, almost melodic, as he steps into view. His face is bathed in the sickly yellow light from the bulb. He looks calm, almost unreadable, but his eyes seem to gleam with something dangerous. In one hand, he holds a scalpel. In the other, he cradles a small, intricately carved porcelain doll, its lifeless glass eyes staring into yours.
“Renjun,” you gasp, your voice trembling, “what are you doing? Let me go!”
He tilts his head slightly, as though considering your words. “You don’t understand,” he murmurs, his tone almost apologetic. “You’re so close to perfection. So close to being what I always knew you could be.”
The words send a chill through you. “What are you talking about? Renjun, this isn’t you! Please, you’re scaring me!”
His lips form a sad smile, but his hands remain steady as he sets the doll down on a nearby tray. The tray rattles softly, revealing more tools—scissors, needles, thread, and vials of strange liquids.
“I know you’re scared,” he says, stepping closer. “But this is for your own good. For our good. I’m going to make sure you’re... safe. Perfect.”
You thrash against the straps, desperate to break free, but they hold firm. “Renjun, stop! Whatever you’re planning, you don’t have to do this! Please, just let me go!”
His expression darkens, and for a moment, his hand hesitates. “I wish you wouldn’t struggle,” he whispers, leaning in close. You can feel his breath against your cheek, warm and steady, a cruel contrast to your racing heart. “It’ll only hurt more if you do.”
He raises the scalpel, the blade catching the dim light. It trembles slightly in his grip as though he’s fighting some internal battle. You try to scream, but the sound only echoes.
“I’ll be gentle,” he promises, his voice breaking slightly. “You won’t feel a thing, I swear.”
Tears blur your vision as you see the blade descending, inching closer to your arm. Every nerve in your body screams for escape, for salvation, but the straps hold you immobile.
“Renjun, please—”
The scalpel presses against your skin, the cold, sharp edge biting lightly—
Tumblr media
You wake with a strangled cry. Sweat clings to your skin, and the room around you is dark and silent. Your hands tremble as you clutch the sheets, trying to ground yourself, but the phantom sensation of the blade lingers, your skin prickling where it had hovered in the dream.
Fuck.
Turning your head, you reach out instinctively to the other side of the bed… but it’s empty. Renjun’s side is cold, the covers are neatly arranged.
“Renjun?” you call softly, your voice hoarse.
Silence.
You shake your head, trying to push away the lingering dread. He must have gotten up early. Maybe he’s in the kitchen or the bathroom. You force yourself to lie back down, but your heart refuses to slow. The dream continues to play at the back of your mind
Eventually you get up and head for the kitchen. You don’t see Renjun anywhere, so you assume he’s out. But it doesn’t cease your worries.
You hum softly to yourself as you pour batter into a pan, the comforting sizzle of pancakes mingling with the aroma of fresh coffee. For a moment, the night’s haunting dream feels like a distant memory.
But then, a new smell hits you—a sharp, metallic tang that cuts through the warmth of breakfast like a knife. It smells like blood almost…? You wrinkle your nose and glance toward the stove, assuming something might be burning.
The sound of a chair scraping against the floor freezes you mid-motion.
You turn slowly, spatula clutched tightly in your hand, and nearly drop it when your eyes land on the figure seated at the table.
“Yizhuo?” The name escapes your lips in a whisper, barely audible over the pounding of your heart.
She sits perfectly still, her head tilted slightly as she watches you. Her once-lively features are now sunken and pale, a sickly greenish tint spreading across her skin. Her hair hangs in limp, tangled strands around her shoulders, and her clothes are torn and stained with dark, crusted blotches.
Most unsettling are her eyes, clouded and milky, yet piercing. They lock onto yours with an intensity that sends a shiver down your spine.
“Good morning,” she says softly, looking at you expectantly.
You stagger back, pressing yourself against the counter. “This… This isn’t real,” you stammer. “You… You’ve been missing for weeks. You—”
“I’m dead.” Her cracked lips curve into a faint smile. “Or at least, I should be.”
The words hang heavy in the air. Your knees threaten to buckle, but you cling to the counter for support, the spatula still trembling in your grip.
“What… What’s going on? How are you here?” you demand, your voice breaking.
Yizhuo leans forward slightly, her movements slow and deliberate. “I came to warn you.”
“Warn me?” Your pulse quickens, your thoughts spinning. “Warn me about what?”
“Renjun,” she says, her tone hardening. Her eyes narrow, and for a moment, her frail demeanor is overshadowed by something fierce. “Your little boyfriend. He’s dangerous. You need to leave him before it’s too late.”
You shake your head, trying to process her words. “Renjun? No, that’s not possible. He wouldn’t—he couldn’t—”
She cuts you off with a dry laugh, “That’s what I thought too. But look at me now.” She gestures to herself, her decayed hands trembling as she does. “He took me. He experimented on me. He killed me.”
The room seems to spin as her words sink in. “No,” you whisper, more to yourself than to her. “That can’t be true. He—he loves me.”
"So much he’ll destroy you." she says, her voice filled with pity. "He’s obsessed with control, with perfection. He sees you as… as something to be fixed, something to be preserved.”
Your throat tightens. “Why are you telling me this?”
“Because I don’t want the same thing to happen to you,” Yizhuo replies, her expression grim. She leans in closer, her scent—a nauseating blend of rot and chemicals—assaulting your senses. “He’s planning to do the same to you. I overheard him. You need to run. Now.”
The words strike like a thunderclap, but you can’t move, can’t speak. Yizhuo’s cloudy eyes search yours, pleading.
“You don’t have much time,” she whispers, her voice trembling. “Get out before it’s too late.”
Before you can respond, she rises from the chair, her movements stiff and unnatural. She glances back at you one last time, her expression a mix of sorrow and urgency. Then, without another word, she walks out of the kitchen, her footsteps silent.
You’re left standing there, the spatula still in your hand, the pancakes burning on the stove behind you.
Before you can make sense of anything, the front door clicks open again.
“Morning,” Renjun’s familiar voice calls out. The sound startles you, and you spin around, heart still racing.
He steps into the kitchen, his hair slightly tousled from the cold morning air. He looks every bit like the Renjun you know: calm, collected, and effortlessly handsome in his cozy sweater and jeans. A faint smile touches his lips as he sees you, though his brows knit together at your pale face.
“Are you okay? You look like you’ve seen a ghost,” he says lightly, stepping closer.
You swallow hard, your mind screaming at you to say something about Yizhuo, but the sight of him steadies your nerves just enough to keep the words locked up in your throat.
“I—I had a bad dream,” you finally stammer. “And you weren’t in bed. Where did you go?”
He sighs, running a hand through his hair. “I couldn’t sleep. The air felt stuffy, so I went out for a walk to clear my head.” He gestures toward the front door. “It’s freezing out there, by the way. You’re lucky you stayed in.”
You blink at him, searching his face for any signs of deception, but he looks so... ordinary. So sincere.
“You should’ve told me,” you murmur, voice tinged with worry.
“I didn’t want to wake you,” he replies softly, reaching out to brush a strand of hair from your face. “I’m sorry if I scared you.”
The tenderness in his gesture makes your chest ache.
“It wasn’t just the walk,” you admit, your voice shaky. “The dream I had… It was awful. You—you were doing something horrible to me. It felt so real, Renjun.”
His eyes widen slightly, then soften with concern. “Hey,” he murmurs, pulling you into his arms. His embrace is warm, firm, and familiar. “It was just a dream. Nothing more, okay? I would never hurt you.”
You hesitate, the memory of Yizhuo’s eyes and voice flashing through your mind again. But Renjun’s voice is so steady, so reassuring.
“I know,” you whisper, leaning into him. “It just felt so vivid. Like it wasn’t just a dream...”
He pulls back slightly to meet your eyes, his hands still resting on your arms. “Dreams can mess with your head,” he says gently. “Especially when you’re stressed or overtired. You’ve been working too hard lately.”
“I guess,” you mumble.
“Come here.” He leads you to the table, where the two of you sit down. “Forget about breakfast for a bit. Just breathe, okay? I’m here now.”
You nod, allowing yourself to relax. Renjun’s presence feels grounding, and for a moment, the lingering dread from the morning fades.
Still, the faint smell of something metallic lingers in the air, and you can’t help but glance at the chair Yizhuo had been sitting in. It’s empty now, no sign of her ever being there.
Renjun follows your gaze. “You okay?” he asks, tilting his head.
“Yeah,” you say quickly, forcing a smile. “I’m fine.”
And for the rest of the morning, everything feels normal again. Renjun jokes with you as he helps clean up the kitchen, his laughter filling the space and making it feel warm and alive. By the time he heads to the bathroom to shower, you’ve almost convinced yourself that Yizhuo’s appearance had been nothing more than a vivid hallucination.
It wasn’t real, you tell yourself for the hundredth time. It couldn’t have been.
Stress. Fatigue. That’s all it was. It has to be.
Still, the unease gnaws at you as the day drags on. Renjun spends most of the afternoon in his study, working on something he vaguely describes as “art.” You don’t press him—he’s always been private about his projects, and it’s not unusual for him to disappear for hours into his world of creativity. He’s shown you some portraits he’s done. That alone was enough to convince you then, but maybe not now.
As the sun begins to dip below the horizon, you decide you need some air.
The backyard feels oddly silent as you step outside, the chill of the evening biting at your skin. The garden Renjun painstakingly tends to is perfectly cared for, each flower bed neat and orderly. But something feels... off. You can’t place it at first, but the further you walk, the heavier the air feels.
And then you see her.
A figure sits near the edge of the garden, half-hidden by the shadows of the trees. At first, you think it’s a trick of the fading light, but as you approach, your stomach turns.
Her head lifts slowly as she senses your presence. Her skin is mottled and patchy, as though poorly stitched together, and her hair hangs in brittle, uneven clumps. One of her eyes is glassy and lifeless, while the other stares at you with unsettling clarity.
“Hello,” she says, her voice low and raspy.
Your instincts scream at you to run, but your feet remain rooted to the spot. “Hi,” you manage to reply, your voice barely audible.
“You’re his new girlfriend, aren’t you?” she asks, tilting her head.
You swallow hard. “What do you mean?”
She chuckles softly, the sound more hollow than amused. “He always picks the pretty ones. Says they’re easier to perfect.”
The words send a chill racing through you. “You know Renjun?”
“Better than I’d like,” she replies, leaning forward slightly. Her movements are stiff, as though her body doesn’t quite obey her.
Your chest tightens. “What happened?”
She lets out a bitter laugh. “What always happens. He gets bored, or paranoid, or both. Decides you need fixing. Then you end up like me.” She gestures to herself, her fingers trembling. “A mistake he doesn’t know how to get rid of.”
The words hit you like a punch to the gut. “You’re one of his... experiments?”
“Guess you could call it that.” Her eye narrows, and for a moment, you swear you see a flicker of pity in her expression. “But you don’t have to end up like me. You still have a chance to get out.”
Your mind races, every fiber of your being screaming that this can’t be true. But the evidence sits right in front of you, her broken body a chilling testament to something you don’t want to believe.
“I... I don’t understand,” you whisper, your voice trembling.
“You will,” she says simply, her tone heavy with finality. “Just don’t wait too long. He doesn’t like it when his plans get interrupted.”
Before you can respond, she struggles to her feet, her movements jerky and unnatural. She stumbles into the trees, disappearing into the shadows before you can even think to follow.
You stand there for what feels like an eternity, your heart pounding in your chest. When you finally gather the courage to move, you hurry back into the house, locking the door behind you.
Renjun finds you later that evening, curled up on the couch with a book you haven’t read a single word of. “You okay?” he asks, sitting down beside you.
You force a smile, shaking your head. “Just tired,” you reply, your voice strained.
He presses a soft kiss to your temple, and though his touch is warm, it does little to chase away the cold dread that has settled deep in your bones.
You say nothing about the woman in the garden.
Tumblr media
The days that follow are a blur of unease and doubt. Renjun grows more distant, his once-gentle demeanor laced with a nervous edge. You catch him watching you when he thinks you’re not looking, his eyes dark and searching, as though trying to read your thoughts.
You tell yourself it’s nothing—just paranoia creeping in after Yizhuo and the woman in the garden. But the house feels different now, like something unseen is watching, waiting.
One night, unable to sleep, you wander through the house, your footsteps muffled against the hardwood floors. Renjun had disappeared into his study hours ago, and you haven’t seen him since. Curiosity gnaws at you, and before you can talk yourself out of it, you find yourself standing at the door to the basement.
It’s unlocked.
The air grows colder as you descend the narrow stairs, the faint scent of mothballs and chemicals prickling your nose.
Your breath catches as you reach the bottom. The room is cluttered with tools and shelves of strange, unrecognizable objects, but your eyes are drawn to the center of the room where a series of lifelike dolls are displayed.
At least, you think they’re dolls at first.
They’re posed on stands, dressed in fine clothing, their glassy eyes staring blankly into the room. But as you move closer, your stomach churns. Their skin isn’t porcelain—it’s something else. Something real.
Your fingers tremble as you reach out to touch one of them but stop short when a voice behind you speaks.
“You shouldn’t be down here.”
You whirl around, heart racing, to find a young man leaning against the far wall. His hair is dark and neatly styled, his posture relaxed, but there’s something unsettling about the way he looks at you.
“Who are you?” you demand, backing away slightly.
“Jeno,” he says casually, pushing off the wall and taking a step closer. “Nice to meet you.”
You glance at the stairs, calculating your chances of escape, but something in his expression stops you. It’s almost amused, like he knows something you don’t.
“Renjun doesn’t like it when people snoop,” Jeno continues, his tone conversational. “He gets... upset.”
“How do you know Renjun?” you ask, your voice trembling.
He smiles faintly, his eyes flicking to the dolls behind you. “Let’s just say we go way back.”
There’s something about the way he says it that makes your skin crawl. “What are you doing here?”
“Same thing you are,” he says cryptically. “Looking for answers.”
Before you can respond, Jeno steps forward—and walks straight through one of the shelves.
What the fuck.
Your breath catches in your throat as you watch his figure shimmer faintly, like heat waves rising from asphalt. He turns to look at you, his expression unreadable.
“You should leave,” he says softly. “Before it’s too late.”
And just like that, he vanishes, fading into the wall as though he were never there.
You’re left standing in the basement, your heart pounding and your mind racing. The dolls’ lifeless eyes seem to follow you as you back away, your legs shaking with every step.
When you finally make it back to the main floor, Renjun is waiting for you in the living room.
“What were you doing in the basement?” he asks, his voice tight.
You freeze, your mind scrambling for an answer. “I—”
“You know you’re not supposed to go down there,” he says, cutting you off. His tone is calm, but his eyes are sharp, his jaw clenched.
“I was just looking for something,” you lie, trying to keep your voice steady. “I couldn’t sleep.”
He studies you for a moment, then sighs, running a hand through his hair. “You should’ve told me. There’s nothing down there for you.”
You nod, forcing a smile. “Sorry. It won’t happen again.”
But as Renjun pulls you into a half-hearted hug, you can feel the tension in his body. His fingers linger on your back a little too long, as though trying to keep you from slipping away.
You say nothing about the dolls. Or the man named Jeno.
But deep down, you know you’ve stepped into something you can’t ignore anymore.
Tumblr media
Renjun’s behavior grows more unpredictable with each passing day. His once gentle nature gives way to sudden bursts of tension: slamming doors, muttering under his breath, pacing the house at odd hours. You try to ignore it, to chalk it up to stress or exhaustion, but the warning signs are impossible to dismiss.
One evening, after he disappears into the basement again without a word, you decide you can’t wait any longer. Whatever he’s hiding down there, you need to know.
The basement feels colder than before, the air heavy with the scent of chemicals and something else—something rancid. The dolls remain in their haunting poses, their glassy eyes fixed on nothing and everything at once. You can’t shake the feeling that they’re watching you.
You move quickly, rifling through the cluttered workbench. Papers covered in scrawled notes, jars of unidentifiable substances, and tools you can’t even name. Your hand trembles as you lift a folder marked with your name.
Before you can open it, a voice cuts through the silence.
“What are you doing?”
You freeze, the folder slipping from your hands. Renjun stands at the base of the stairs, his face eerily calm, though his eyes burn with an intensity that makes your blood run cold.
“I—I was just—” you stammer, stepping back instinctively.
“You shouldn’t have come down here,” he says, his tone soft but firm. He takes a step closer, his hand hidden behind his back. “I trusted you.”
You swallow hard, your heart pounding in your chest. “Renjun, what is all this? What are you doing down here?”
He doesn’t answer immediately. Instead, he steps fully into the room, revealing the syringe in his hand. The clear liquid inside catches the light, its purpose unknown but unmistakably sinister.
“I was hoping it wouldn’t come to this,” he murmurs, almost regretfully. “I thought I could fix everything without hurting you. But you had to go and make things difficult.”
“Renjun, please,” you say, your voice shaking. “Whatever this is, we can talk about it. You don’t have to—”
“You don’t understand,” he interrupts, his voice cracking. “I’m doing this for you. For everyone. You don’t know what you are, what you’re capable of.”
He lunges before you can react, the syringe glinting as he closes the distance between you. You scream, twisting and flailing, but he’s faster, stronger than you expect. The needle sinks into your neck, and the icy burn of the liquid spreads through your veins.
The last thing you hear before the world fades to black is Renjun’s trembling voice.
“I’m so sorry.”
Tumblr media
When you wake, the cold metal beneath you is the first thing you notice. Your body feels heavy, unresponsive, as though the drug hasn’t entirely worn off. The dim light above casts shadows across the room, and as your vision clears, you see him.
Renjun stands over you, his face pale and drawn, yet his hands move with steady precision. Tools are laid out neatly beside him, glinting in the faint light.
“Renjun?” you whisper, your voice weak and hoarse.
He startles slightly, his gaze snapping to yours. For a moment, his expression softens, a flicker of guilt crossing his face. But it vanishes as quickly as it appeared.
“You’re awake,” he murmurs, almost to himself. “I wasn’t expecting that yet.”
“What... what are you doing?” you ask, panic rising in your chest.
He sighs, his hands pausing as he picks up a scalpel. “I’m saving you,” he says simply, his tone matter-of-fact. “You won’t feel a thing, I promise. When this is over, you’ll be perfect. No one will ever be able to hurt you again.”
“Renjun, stop!” you scream, thrashing against the straps that hold you down. “Please, you don’t have to do this!”
His eyes glisten with unshed tears as he shakes his head. “I don’t have a choice,” he whispers. “You’re dangerous, even if you don’t know it. I’ve seen what you’ll become if I don’t stop it from happening now.”
He leans closer, the scalpel trembling slightly in his hand. “But it’s okay,” he continues, his voice cracking. “I’ll take care of you. I’ll love you just the same. You’ll see. You’ll understand one day.”
Tears blur your vision as you struggle harder, the straps biting into your skin. “Renjun, please! I love you! Don’t do this!”
His hand falters for a moment, the scalpel hovering just above your skin. “I love you too,” he says, his voice breaking. “That’s why I have to do this.”
The sharp edge glints as it lowers toward you, and your screams echo through the basement, mixing with Renjun’s whispered apologies.
Your body trembles against the restraints, your heart racing as Renjun’s scalpel hovers closer to your skin. Desperation fuels you, and you yank against the straps with everything you have. The leather digs into your wrists, cutting into your skin, but you don’t stop.
“Stop struggling,” Renjun says softly, his voice almost pleading. “You’ll only hurt yourself.”
But you don’t listen. Instead, you twist your arm as hard as you can, feeling the strap loosen just slightly. The metal table creaks beneath your movements, and the scalpel in his hand wavers.
“Please,” he whispers, his voice cracking. “Don’t make this harder for me.”
With a surge of adrenaline, your wrist finally slips free, the leather snapping loose. You lunge forward, catching him off guard. His eyes widen in shock as you grab at the tools on the tray beside you, your fingers fumbling for anything sharp.
“Stop!” he shouts, dropping the scalpel to grab your arm. His grip is strong, but your determination is stronger.
You manage to grab a pair of forceps and swing them wildly, catching him across the face. He cries out, staggering backward and clutching his cheek, blood seeping between his fingers.
“You don’t understand!” he yells, his voice raw with emotion. “I’m trying to save you!”
But you don’t stop. You twist your body, freeing your other arm, and kick out with your legs, knocking the tray of tools to the floor. The clang of metal echoes in the room as you grab the scalpel he dropped.
Renjun lunges at you, his hands outstretched, but you roll off the table just in time. Your knees buckle as you hit the floor, but you push yourself up, the scalpel clutched tightly in your shaking hand.
“Please,” he says again, his voice desperate now. “You don’t know what you’re doing!”
You scream, charging at him with the scalpel. He grabs your wrist, the two of you grappling for control. His strength is terrifying, and for a moment, you think you’ll lose.
“You’re not the person I fell in love with!” you cry, tears streaming down your face.
“I am!” he shouts, his eyes wild. “I’m doing this because I love you!”
The scalpel slips in your hand, slicing your palm, but you don’t let go. With a sudden burst of strength, you shove him backward. He stumbles, tripping over the tray of tools and falling to the floor.
Before he can get up, you’re on him, pinning him down. The scalpel shakes in your hand as you press it against his chest.
“I’m sorry,” you whisper, your voice breaking.
He looks up at you, his eyes wide with disbelief. “No,” he breathes. “You don’t have to—”
But you do.
With a scream, you drive the scalpel into his chest. Blood blooms beneath the blade, spreading across his shirt. His body jerks, his hands clawing weakly at yours, but his strength is fading fast.
His lips part, as if to say something, but no sound comes out. His eyes, once so full of love, now stare up at you in a mix of pain and betrayal.
You pull the scalpel out and stab him again, and again, each strike accompanied by a choked sob.
When it’s over, you collapse beside him, your hands trembling and covered in blood. The room is silent except for the sound of your ragged breathing.
Renjun lies motionless, his face pale and his body still. The pool of blood beneath him grows larger, seeping into the cracks of the cold basement floor.
For a long moment, you can’t move, can’t think. All you can do is stare at his lifeless form, the weight of what you’ve done crashing down on you.
Then, slowly, you drag yourself to your feet, your legs weak and unsteady. You wipe your bloodied hands on your shirt, your breaths coming in shallow gasps.
But as you turn to leave, something glimmers in the corner of your eye. A reflection in the glassy eyes of one of the dolls, watching you, silent and unblinking.
You stagger up the basement stairs, your mind reeling, Renjun’s blood still warm on your hands. The house feels eerily silent now, the weight of what you’ve done pressing down on you like a suffocating blanket.
You sink onto the couch, trembling, trying to steady your breathing. The nightmare is over—or so you tell yourself. Yet, deep inside, a strange calm begins to settle over you, and with it, clarity.
“I did it,” you whisper, almost to yourself. “It’s over.”
“Not quite,” a familiar voice cuts through the quiet.
You whirl around to see Ning Yizhuo standing in the doorway. She looks far less ghastly now, her skin no longer pallid and her cloudy eyes replaced with sharp, piercing ones. She steps into the room with an unsettling grace, her lips curling into a sly smile.
“Oh fuck you.” you gasp, your voice seemingly becoming annoyed. “I told you I could handle it.”
“Did you really think you could keep me out of this?” she asks, tilting her head. “You’ve always had a flair for the dramatic, but even I didn’t think you’d drag it out this long.”
“You know I wouldn’t let you die.” you counter back.
“Oh, come on,” Yizhuo says, her tone teasing. “You didn’t even know I was there!”
For odd as the situation was, this casual conversation seemed too strange for someone who had just had a traumatic encounter.
But you remembered it all.
The reason why you were here in the first place.
The spellwork, the rituals, the whispers of your coven as you planned everything together. Renjun—brilliant, dangerous, utterly unhinged—had been the perfect candidate to father the next generation of your powerful bloodline. His twisted mind, his obsession with creation, his unparalleled intellect—they were irresistible.
But he’d caught on, hadn’t he? His jealousy of Yizhuo, his paranoia, the experiments. He’d discovered the truth about who you were, what you were, and had convinced himself that you were a threat that needed to be eliminated.
“You were supposed to bring him to heel,” Yizhuo says, crossing her arms. “But instead, you let him spiral. Do you know how much work it was for me to survive after what he did to me?”
“I didn’t plan for this,” you mutter, your voice hollow.
“No,” Yizhuo replies sharply. “You didn’t. You got too attached. Like you always do. But you still got the job done, didn’t you?”
You glance down at your hands, still stained with Renjun’s blood, and a strange sense of satisfaction wells up within you. Despite the chaos, despite the loss of control, the end result remains the same.
Yizhuo steps closer, crouching down in front of you. “He was right about one thing,” she says, her voice soft now. “You are dangerous. But that’s exactly why this worked. You’re stronger now, more focused. And with him out of the way, there’s nothing stopping us.”
You look up at her, the faintest hint of a smile tugging at the corners of your lips. The weight on your chest lifts, replaced by a dark, intoxicating sense of purpose.
“He was brilliant,” you say quietly, almost wistfully. “But he underestimated me.”
“They always do,” Yizhuo replies, standing and extending a hand to you. “Come on. We have work to do. The coven’s waiting.”
You take her hand and rise to your feet, the tension in your body melting away as the truth of who you are settles over you like a comforting shroud.
As you leave the house together, you cast one last glance back at the basement door. The ghost of a smile plays on your lips as you whisper under your breath, “Thank you, Renjun. You were perfect.”
The door creaks shut behind you, and the house falls silent once more, now a graveyard for twisted dreams and dark beginnings.

the room was beautiful, the soft glow of the setting sun, warm sunlight spilling through the open windows. the scent of the paint lingered, fresh and familiar, clinging to the air and to renjun’s hands as he stands over his canvas. his brush moving in slow strokes blending colors into colors with an ease that makes it looks effortless.
but his focus wasn’t on the canvas.
it was on you…
you shift under his gaze, pretending to study the half finished painting, resting on the easel, its beautiful, a mixture of deep blues and soft golds, but the intensity of his stare makes it hard for you to concentrate.
“you’re staring” you murmur, glancing at him through your lashes.
renjun hums, not denying it. he dips his brush into the paint, but instead of returning it to the canvas, he lifts it towards you. “stay still baby..”
you blink confused, but before you can even question what he was doing, the bristles graze your skin, soft and barely there, as he drags his paintbrush full of colors across your bare shoulder.
a slow inhale gets caught in your throat. the touch is featherlight , more teasing than anything, but the weight of his gaze makes it feel like something else all together.
“renjun-“ you start, but you’re voice comes out softer than you intended.
his lips curve slightly. not quite a smile but something close. he sets the brush down, his fingers following its path as they ghost over your skin. “i think I should paint you next pretty yeah?”
you swallow, heat creeping up to your spine. “you already have..”
his touch lingers, fingertips barely skimming the delicate curve on your collarbone. when he speaks, his voice is lower now, quieter. “not like this”
someone in the air shifts, heavy and changed. his fingers curled slightly, a silent question in the space between you. and when you don’t pull away , he takes it as permission to keep going.
the canvas is forgotten. the paint is forgotten.
all that is left is the warmth of his touch , the way his eyes darken, and the realization hit that maybe, just maybe.. you don’t mind being his muse after all.

bf!renjun painting you
pairing: bf!renjun x reader
genre: fluff
summary: you rent the cottagecore house of your dreams, take a nap and wake up to see your boyfriend painting you
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
booking an airbnb that was essentially the cottagecore house of your dreams for your getaway with your boyfriend was arguably the best decision you’ve taken ever.
Renjun was absolutely awed upon seeing the house for the first time, it was like seeing his pinterest board in real life. Even though it was unfortunate that this was your house for only a week you guys decided to make the most of it, going on strolls, picnics in the backyard, baking strawberry shortcakes even visiting the farm nearby and feeding the horses. The past couple of days had been heaven.
After going on your daily stroll stopping by the pond to feed the ducks, you decided to take a quick nap when coming back home. Maybe heading to the bedroom would’ve been the best option to actually rest but you were in a house that had a sun room, you HAD to have at least one nap there.
Your boyfriend had been calling your name for the past couple of minutes wanting you to try the strawberry lemonade he made. Upon the lack of response, he started looking for you in the house. Finding you lying down on the small couch, surrounded by all the small plants the house came with, the sun on your face. His face broke in the biggest grin, being completely enamored of you who looked so peaceful sleeping gracefully whilst sunbathing.
After taking a picture of what he deemed as the most beautiful view ever, renjun decided to paint the scene, i mean you guys were basically living your cottagecore dreams, why not add to it? Grabbing his small case of watercolors, he mentally patted himself on the back for going against his instinct and bringing his painting gear. He then installed his brushes, paints, and canvas into the corner of the room, finding the view to be even more perfect this way.
Renjun found himself snickering a bit at his own thoughts. He thought you being asleep meant it would be easy to paint you, turns out he’s been spending his time staring at you with heart eyes instead of painting streaks on his canvas. He did draw a quick sketch attempting to picture your essence onto the canvas but wasn’t satisfied as ‘it wasn’t as pretty as you were’, but if he was being honest with himself, no one could ever capture your beauty onto a canvas.
After crumbling the fourteenth (or at least what felt like it) paper he settled on just winging it, he had to trust his abilities and it wouldn’t turn out bad, right?? He was honestly surprised at how tired you were as you’ve been lying still for quite a long time. Halfway through his painting, you stirred awake. As you opened your eyes you were greeted with the most beautiful view, your boyfriend concentrated in his art.
“hi baby, don’t move for a sec for me okay?” your boyfriend says re concentrating on his canvas. “are you painting me?” you ask, your voice a bit groggy from your nap. “I’m trying to, can’t get it right though, i could never replicate your charm on a canvas” he says and you swear your heart actually melted. “you know we’re already dating right? you don’t have to compliment me” you reply going back into your original position not complaining, as all you had to do was sit there and look pretty in the sun. “I’m merely telling the truth, you’re literally god sent it’s already incredible luck i get to see you this close” your boyfriend says, getting up from his corner to give you a quick kiss. “flattery will get you nowhere mister” you reply slightly punching him. “I can name a few times where flattery got me exactly where i wanted to be” he replies slightly laughing heading back to his canvas to finish the painting.
Hearing your boyfriend sigh meant he either was done and not satisfied or he was done and really unsatisfied. “I’m sure whatever you painted belongs in a museum” you say getting out of your position to go look “you belong in a museum. but wait don’t look just yet I don’t like it right now” renjun says frustratingly looking at the painting. “cmonnnn, I’m sure I’ll like it! there’s not one piece of art you’ve made I haven’t liked” you whine slowly approaching him. You quickened your pace hearing his little ‘fine’
“I’m 100% positive it’s not that bad- woah. THIS?? is what you’re unsatisfied with? junnie what the fuck this is so beautiful you’re insane” you say mouth agape upon seeing the painting, slightly getting emotional. “yea? you’re not just saying this?” your boyfriend asks as you’re quick to deny profusely shaking your head. “no I mean it I swear man what the hell” you answer giving him a hug as he shrugs. “the only reason why it’s pretty is because you’re my subject” he says to which you reply “shut up”.
Finding your boyfriend’s warmth wayy better than sitting in the sun you settle on his lap, he’s quick to wrap his arms around your figure engulfing you in a hug drawing soothing circles on your back, giving you small pecks on your exposed shoulder skin. As you were slowly falling asleep again you felt your boyfriend squirm a bit “I forgot I made strawberry lemonade, it’s in the fridge want some?” he says as you nod getting up from his lap and following him to the kitchen
You did not want this week to be over.
notes: this is 100% an apology to every down bad reader for the chapters that are about to come…

[2:12 pm]
(cw: parent!au, sassy kid)
Dad!Renjun loved his daughter. He loved her more than anything in the world. Okay, maybe as much as he loved you. Okayyy, maybe a little more, but could you blame him? She was the perfect mix of both of you. In all her looks and personality, she was half of each of you.
But… Renjun did find himself getting frustrated with how similar she was to him sometimes. Her eggs had to be cooked a certain way every morning. Her juice always had to be in the same cup and her milk always in a separate cup. Her strawberries always had to be cut into quarters and no longer the slices that she liked two months ago. It was hard to keep up with her!
When Renjun imagined having a daughter, a child in general, he never imagined that these would be the most difficult moments. Hearing his little girl complain about her eggs being too brown and give him the silent treatment for an hour felt immensely harder than the nights where she cried the whole night. Do you even know how many Barbies it took to bribe his daughter into talking to him again? Three. Three Barbies. And he was sure the next time he so much as cut a strawberry in uneven quarters, the price would go up to four Barbies.
Speaking of, when she’d begrudgingly asked Renjun to play Barbies with her 10 minutes ago, he didn’t think this was going to be hard. It had taken her the whole 10 minutes to find a Barbie she didn’t even like to be Renjun’s character for the day.
Renjun bounced the doll around, talking in a high pitched voice, “Hi! My name is Jane! How are you? I’m a princess!”
“Appa, she’s not a princess. She’s a mom.” His daughter told him bluntly.
“But baby, she’s in a princess dress. Can’t she be a princess and a mom?” Renjun asked.
She sighed, setting her doll down and interlacing her fingers. She turned to Renjun looking every bit the unamused boss she was emanating. Why did it make him feel a little nervous? “Appa, your Barbie is a mom. She doesn’t talk like that, she wears the dress because it’s long and she only has one leg and she’s sad about it—”
“Well, why does she only have one leg?”
“Because! Appa. It broke off and that’s why I don’t play with her. I told you to fix it and you never did!” She exclaims with a roll of her eyes, “she’s a mom and her husband is at war and he doesn’t love her anymore. And her kids don’t like her either.”
Away at war? Where was she learning these things? “Wow… okay. Why don’t her kids like her?” Renjun asked again.
“Because she’s a bad mom.” The girl answered simply, “can you play the right way now?”
“Who is your character?”
“My character is a businesswoman and she has a powerful company and all her workers love her and she has seven puppies and she lives in a mansion and she has a pool and she has an elevator in her house and her house has three stories! And her name is Jill!” His daughter explained excitedly, eyes sparkling while she stared at the Barbie Dream House that had taken him three and a half hours to build on Christmas Eve.
So Renjun played Barbies as well as he could. It seemed his daughter really liked being the boss. Being bossy more like… Every time ‘Jane’ went into the wrong room ‘Jill’ was there to tell her how dirty her dress was and remind her how her kids hated her. “And Jane, didn’t one of your kids throw up because she ate your burnt pancakes? How do you even keep your husband? Oh wait! You don’t!” His daughter laughed, shaking her Barbie around.
You came into the living room, eyes trained on the scene in front of you. You narrowed your eyes at your daughter, “what did I tell you about making the Barbies play like my dramas?”
His daughter pouted, “to not to…”
“And were you nice with Appa or mean?”
His daughter’s eyes found his, squinting threateningly. As threatening as a 5 year old could look. “I was playing nice!” His daughter lied.
“Yeah right, missy. Say sorry to Appa and come get your snacks,” you instructed with your arms crossed.
His daughter stood and turned to him with her lips jutted out sadly, “Appa, I’m sorry I made your Barbie ugly and sad and made everyone hate her. And she didn’t have a job and she was missing a leg and she’s the ugliest one I have.”
“And what else?” You goad her with a pointed look.
“And thank you for playing with me and I love you!” The girl finishes with a smile. A smile with a gap that he had helped handle just a couple days ago. A smile he loved. Even if it was a little menacing…
Renjun feels his heart melts as he tugs her into his arms, “you’re very welcome, my love.”
She presses a soft peck to his cheek, stopping to whisper in his ear, “even though you’re not very good at it.”
Was… his daughter his bully? God, he owed his members so many apologies because this attitude was all him.

renjun + class president
⋆౨ৎ˚⟡˖ ࣪
renjun teaching his class president a lesson after he had enough of you and your facade that everyone seemed to fall for. the perfect school girl who thinks they’re better than everyone else.
he waits until the classroom empties before walking towards you, and before you can even utter a word about why the hell he’s here, you’re promptly pushed onto the nearest desk.
caged against the desk renjun grabs your arms as you protest, holding them tightly with one hand. in this position, bent over, gives renjun a perfect view of your ass in that school skirt.
you try to wriggle free, but it only works in his favour as your skirt rides up in the process, his arm strength is way too strong.
swiftly he flips your skirt up before dragging your panties right down, pooling at your ankle. your core on display for him as he chuckles, this is exactly where he wanted you. he whips out his phone from his back pocket before clicking a few shots on you in such a lewd position. the class president, everyone’s favourite girl, bent over the school desk like a common slut, pussy exposed for everyone.
“maybe i’ll send these out to our cohort huh?” he suggests, “show everyone the real you”
tears start to fall down your face as you beg your classmate to let you go, telling him you’ll do anything as long as those pictures don’t spread.
the sight of you begging, tears rolling down your face, it’s all renjun’s ever wanted to see from you. finally, someone’s put you in your place.
he uses his free hand to rub against your slit, and you can’t help but let out a moan when he finds your clit before slipping two fingers inside of you.
you let out an embarrassing string of whimpers as renjun’s fingers work in and out of you. the knot building in your stomach before coming undone, your juices spilling down your thigh as renjun watches in awe, knowing that he was the one to reduce you to such a mess.
he pulls his fingers out, soaked with your cum before shoving the digits into your mouth. “taste yourself sweetheart” you gag, saliva running down your lips.
“that’s it baby, gag on my fingers like the true slut you really are-“ “maybe next time, i’ll let you have my cock. bet you’d like that hm?” he taunts you, laughing at your state.
when he’s had enough, he pulls out his fingers and wipes them on your skirt. your head falls onto the desk in shame as you begin to sob.
but renjun doesn’t care. he makes his way to the door before holding up his phone. “don’t give me a reason to post these” and before you know it, he’s out the door, leaving you in your vulnerable state wondering what you ever did for him to humiliate you as such.
a/n: was lowk like idk what to post but then i found this in my drafts so i just continued it! also idk when i should stop making these disclaimers ngl but i am no writer… this page is just for me to write out my crazy thoughts….

carefully created by the gods themselves, each eyelash drawn by the angels, stars delicately placed in your eyes. the light shined brightly in them, reflecting your past, the present and a promising future. your eyes told so much, renjun could dedicate a whole thesis about them, it was one of his favourite things about you. there was so much to capture and he wanted to so you justice, and so, he moved his brush with fast but precise strokes, eager to paint you.
there was your smile too, god your smile. renjun couldn't get enough it, truly. how could he even begin to describe it? he was probably obsessed with it. obsessed with the way it illuminated the whole room. obsessed with the way it warmed up his heart each and every time. obsessed with the way it never failed to make him fall deeper for you.
noticing the enamoured smile dancing on renjun's face, you moved slightly to look at him properly. the sight made you fully melt. your hand reaches out to poke his shoulder gently to grab his attention. he looked at you curiously, that smile on his lips not fading.
“why are you moving? you know you're supposed to stay still when you're a muse...” he remarked, his voice soft and gentle, as if you were the most precious thing to have graced the earth, and to him, you were.
you simply shrugged and smiled wider. “i don't know, i saw you smiling... what's got you smiling so hard, hm?” you asked, feigning curiosity when you knew very well why he was smiling.
“i don't know, i just love you i guess.” renjun pretended to be annoyed as he often would, rolling his eyes. but you knew better than to believe his side-eyes and disinterested tone. if he wasn't whipped fro you, would he really go through the trouble of painting you so beautifully?
“who knew the huang renjun could be so sappy and sweet towards his girlfriend!” you laughed at your own words, not missing the way renjun's lips curved up despite his characteristic glare.
“don't you talk too much for a muse?” he sighed dramatically. he turned to fully look at you before gently placing a delicate brush stroke of blue paint on your cheek. then purple paint across your nose.
soon, each bit of your exposed skin now a canvas of its own. you kept giggling at the tingly feeling of the brush swiftly running across your skin. to renjun, this was a sight worth painting, worth exposing in the most prestigious museums and even then, he's not sure it would be enough to truly showcase your awesomeness.
“i'll finish the painting later... come here...” renjun carefully placed his painting supplies and canvas aside before wrapping his arms around you. “i'd rather cuddle for a bit.” he murmured softly, lips ghosting the sensitive skin of your shoulders. “i knew you'd miss me and all~” you teased him but not without wrapping your arms around him as well, closing your eyes.
this time without teasing you, he truthfully answered, “of course i'd miss you, my love.” you fully buried your head in renjun's neck, as he smiled in content, knowing he had you wrapped around his finger like you had him. “i love you.”

YOU ARE IN LOVE, TRUE LOVE
Tumblr media
pairing: renjun x gn!reader (no pronouns used) genre: fluff word count: 232
includes: established relationship, reader can cook
Tumblr media
renjun has never felt like this before. his mind races almost as quickly as his heartbeat as he watches you parade around his kitchen without a care in the world. you’re still wearing his t-shirt - a sight that still makes his cheek flush an embarrassingly deep red.
his lips quirk upwards into an unconscious smile as he continues to watch you prepare breakfast for the two of you. sunlight shines in through your opened blinds, casting a golden glow across the entire room. the pleasant aroma filling the dorm is seemingly only made better by the fact that it comes from your food.
renjun is only broken away from his thoughts when you slide a plate across the table towards him. you softly chuckle at his surprise as you slide into the chair across from him. “what’s on your mind?” you murmur.
he smiles, quietly shaking his head. reaching across the table, renjun takes your hand into his own. you intertwine your fingers together almost unconsciously; his thumb rubs small shapes into your skin. “you’re my best friend.”
renjun can feel his heart beating rapidly in his chest when you smile at him. your flushed cheeks mirror his own as you lean in, pressing a chaste kiss against his lips before you settle back into your seat once again. “i love you, jun. you mean everything to me.”
“i love you too.”

My Exception – HRJ
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
P: Renjun x gender neutral reader | G: drabble, fluff | Inc: reading corners, movie nights, renjun and y/n being really soft, pastries, movie snacks, hot drinks | Wc: 600 | W: food (bc pastries/snacks) | R: G
Summary: Renjun’s reading time is sacred; a dedicated few hours every weekend spent with him, his wax melts, a book, and a hot drink. Though he can make an exception for y/n. He can always make an  exception for them.
Min's notes: Everyone say thank you to Kyu <;33
Tumblr media
Renjun inhales as he settles down in his loveseat, the sandalwood and cardamom wax melt covering his little reading corner in warmth. The air around him smells inviting, tempting him into drifting away into the world of his books. He’s already got a book in mind, picking it out from his stack of books and returning to where he last left his bookmark. It’s a romantic thriller, pulling at his imagination as soon as he begins to read.
Y/n’s on their way back from an outing, he’s got a coffee beside him, and he’s got a good book. What more could he ask for?
It’s silent in the shared apartment, bar the occasional turning of the page and hum of interest. The twists in the novel have already started to appear, one by one in a slow but addicting pace, and Renjun finds himself theorising more as he goes along, taking sips of his coffee and making a note to thank y/n again for splurging on the Nespresso machine. It’s a thing of beauty.
“…home baby~!” y/n’s voice pulls Renjun out of the scene he was reading, drawing his attention to the door where his partner’s taking off their shoes. He leans forward, grins when y/n eventually spots him and waves his greeting. He looks for his bookmark, slotting it in between the pages and returns the paperback to the mini library stand of books. Sure, he could go back to reading his book, knowing all too well y/n would be more than happy to respect his reading time, but he’s missed them.
He can pause his reading time for his favourite person.
“I brought some pastries from that café you like, wanna have some later?” Y/n asks, making their way over to Renjun’s little reading nook and draping themselves over the back.
“Sure. Movie night?”
“Movie night.” They confirm, tapping their lips for a kiss, a pleased smile on their face seconds later when Renjun grants their wish. “How’s the book?”
“It’s so good! The police just started hunting down one of their suspects,” y/n chuckles as Renjun starts becoming more and more animated, “but if you ask me, I don’t think the professor did it at all, he’s clearly trying to cover up for someone else.” Renjun’s review continues, and a little ball of fondness grows in y/n’s chest as they listen, admiring the man they get to call their own. They subtly ask him to budge over and take a seat beside him, half sitting across the grey Hampshire loveseat and half hanging over the armrest.
It's comfy. They’re comfy, with him.
The wax melt burner sits on the tv stand this time, a new wax melt on the surface melting away as y/n brings a tray of cookies from the kitchen, Renjun holding their drinks. It’s a movie night, there’s a shower of rain outside and the Netflix menu screen stares back at the pair, awaiting to play their first of many films that evening. Renjun’s the first to sit down, open arms inviting y/n to cuddle up beside him as they rest on the sofa.
“Want to pick first?” Renjun offers, a simple thing of a gesture and he basks in the soft affection he feels when they nod, a languid smile on their face. He watches them pick, eventually landing on a movie they’ve been putting off for a while now and rests his head on top of theirs.
“Hey, don’t fall asleep just yet,” y/n warns, a smile in their voice. “I’ve been dying to watch this with you.”
“Wouldn’t dream of it.”

graduation — hrj
Tumblr media
you and renjun go for a walk after your graduation ceremony from art school, and as always, your boyfriend manages to take your breath away with his kind words.
Tumblr media
pairing... renjun × afab!reader
genre... fluff
word count... i have no idea sorry
requested?... no!
a/n just a little something i wrote for funzies after listening to graduation by the dreamies a few times (i got inspired), and i must say that even though its not entirely proof-read, i hope you guys enjoy this piece of random fluff <3
Tumblr media
It was finally here, the day they always dreamt of, their graduation. High school was hard enough, and college took an even harder toll for the sensible pair — Renjun and Y/N didn’t quite match with the academic way of life. It's not about how smart they could be, it was just that the strict system present in education suffocated them to the point where panic could be induced.
They’ve been key participants in each other's lives when it came to finally finishing high school or even while in college, supporting each other through thick and thin, one make-up test after the other, one exam week after the other, and so on. One might say Renjun was destined to meet you, because of how much it helped to be by your side, and vice versa.
One day back in 9th grade, you ended up meeting while skipping class on the big grass field located behind the school. Renjun was surprised to see anyone else besides him on his spot, since he thought he was the only one who knew about it. Years later, he thanks the heavens for giving him the opportunity to talk to the most beautiful girl he knew. You.
You were sitting down, knees glued to your chest while hands supported your chin. The sun managed to hit your face perfectly, in an almost ethereal way, lighting up all the soft and breathtaking features present. Your side profile highlighted the beauty was what really drew him in. The chinese boy swears up and down that he could stand there, admiring you just like that, for all eternity.
He still doesn’t know what possessed him to go on over and talk to you, but soon enough, Renjun plopped down next to your side and got to talking. You were also starstruck and incredibly smitten by the boy. It amazed you how the most popular boy among the artsy kids was paying you attention. You couldn't believe someone like him was even talking to you, but then, there he was.
And that day marked the beginning of your love story. The hours of talking went into days, the days into months, and now, months into years.
Renjun confessed his feelings for you a little over a year ago, which then led to your now relationship.
“I can’t believe we actually did it.” You sound out, reaching for his hand receiving a loving look in return. “Like, we graduated from art school together. I honestly can’t believe it,” Renjun and you were walking down the park in order to digest the food you guys ate. The sun was setting, giving your stroll a beautiful ambience to appreciate from a distance. “We need to search for art galleries that need new employees or-"
“Well, I for one, can! We’re destined to always be together.” He softly interrupted her and his even softer smile made your cheeks gain a bright red tone. He was always so sweet to you, even while interrupting, that it felt like a dream to be able to call him your boyfriend. “And let’s worry about that tomorrow! Let’s focus on celebrating for now."
“How can you be so chill about this?!” You tried to pretend that you weren't totally smitten by him and his antics, which made Renjun look at you with even more endearment. One could say it was a vicious cycle that never seemed to end: you'd get flustered and he’d make you feel even more flustered. “We need to make rent, and also starting looking for a bigger place and-”
Renjun then leaned in, suddenly pulling you by the waist, not paying any mind to the worries you brought up — of course he knew that you definitely needed to discuss those concerns, but right now wasn’t the right time. Your faces were inches away from each other, noses touching and bodies pressed together. Your hands rested on his shoulders, while the grip on your waist by his firm hands never once faltered.
Not being able to contain yourself any longer than a few seconds, you gently press your lips against his, the action making him smile mid kiss. Renjun couldn’t blame your eagerness as he also couldn’t restrain himself, which then led to him deepening the kiss only moments after.
It’s also worth mentioning that Renjun was so eager to have you on his lips that he had a hard time keeping his hands solely on your waist. It’s a shame you were in public, because if you weren’t, he was ready to have you on his lap right then and there, while his soft lips explored the entirety of your body.
“I love you so much, you know that right?!” He said, as soon as you pulled away in need of some oxygen. “I don’t think I could even live without you.”
This was one of the things you loved the most about Renjun, he never hid how he felt about you and even went out of his way just to tell you. It was recomforting to always feel loved and secure in a relationship, especially in a relationship with him.
“And I… I also love you beyond words.” You shyly said, hiding your face on her hands right after out of embarrassment. It's ridiculous how he always managed to get you this shy, especially taking into consideration that you weren't used to saying what and how you felt, and being with Renjun was helping you learn to be more vocal about this.
He could only smile upon hearing her words, since Renjun knew how hard it was for her to say stuff like that. Not a day went by where he didn’t feel proud of her for becoming more and more comfortable in her own skin.
“God, can I just stay by your side forever? Will you allow me to, beautiful?” Thankfully you were still in his arms when the question popped up, or else you'd have face planted into the floor right then and there. Renjun’s firm grip and his sparkly eyes were the only things keeping you grounded and on the moment. “Even if everything changes on this earth, even if the sun freezes up, it’s you I want by my side, Y/N. Even if I lose everything… I can’t lose you.”
His beautifully poetic and devoted words almost made tears start to stream down your face. You didn’t think someone could romantically love you this much until you met Renjun. He widened your horizons and opened your eyes to the beauty of true love.
Nothing could have prepared you to hear those words at the moment, nor to see the look in his eyes or to feel his body pressed upon yours. His ability to know what to say before you even long to hear a confession, never ceases to amaze you.
“You’re the best thing that has ever happened to me, Junnie.” You kissed him deeply, once again, in order to express what words couldn’t at the moment. And also, if you tried to talk, you fear that you wouldn't be able to finish speaking without crying your eyes out for a good amount of time. “You’re mine and I’m yours. Forever.” You placed your hand over his heart, and did the same with his hand, gesture sending chills down his spine.
How come two people can have their souls be this deeply intertwined? You guys wouldn’t be able to answer how, but would only be able to say that it could happen and that such connection was real. After spending some more time cuddled up like that in the middle of the park, you guys started walking down the path once again, hearts filled with joy and peace.
You could only think about how lucky you were to have him, and Renjun could only think about that soon, he’d be able to proudly call you his wife.
