these are NOT for sale, they are the pieces of my project dolly, who I’ve taken to calling “frankie” as a shortening of “franken-deer”. (that probably won’t be her actual name.) she’s going to be a hodge-podge of mostly secondhand, somewhat “junk” parts (except the body, that’s in good shape). and she’ll be some kind of... Idk jersey devil deer monster thing. because deer monsters are apparently My Whole Aesthetic. I can’t walk two steps without making one.

I’ll be starting a project journal for her on DOA, but I’ll update the blog as well. here’s the big list of plans!

Head: HTT Bambee

finish cleaning stubborn faceup bits

sand off elf ear mods + ears

attach magnets for new ears (second picture - rabbit ears from DreamLanddollStudio)

create fanged tooth part (she still has the original I just want to swap)

additive mod for better neck fit

Body: Resinsoul 60cm Girl Body

fix wrist articulation/range of motion

add chest structure to stop her from falling in half

do... something about those elbow joints

swap out hands

Legs: Resinsoul Mu/Ai Hooves

sand off the hip flanges

resculpt hooves and ankles for more realism

suede hips and ankles

she’s three different resin colors, so she’ll be dyed a tan and/or brown eventually, and then painted since she’ll have a bunch of additive mods. then she’ll need a faceup, eyes, and wig, (though I might already have her eyes,) and possibly some extra fantasy parts added if I can acquire or make them. looking forward to this! :)

Resinsoul Ai box opening.

This is my second Resinsoul doll. My first one is a Mei that I got way back in 2013. Whenever I got my Mei, she was my first doll ever, and I had so much trouble choosing between her or an Ai. I finally got the Ai, and I couldn’t be happier with her.

There is a few things I noticed that are different now from this company, though.

First of all, the nice bags they come with are cream now, instead of brown. Second is that they actually come with a COA. My first one never had one.

Her hands are so dainty...

Her hooves are way more chonky IRL than the pics on the site lead me to believe...

Her face is sooo pretty! The brown eyes are pretty nice, too. I’ll probably stick with them for a while until I can figure out what I want her permanent ones to be.

The horns look great on her. One of the magnets is pretty weak, though, so the horn on that side has trouble staying in place.

She stands right out of the box. Also, the sculpting on her body is gorgeous.

With some very delicate balancing, I even got her to stand with her legs bent.

I am VERY happy with her. She is pretty much exactly how I imagined she would be.

Got a shelf to extend the doll set up so that the collection is less cramped.

The doll family sure has grown over the past few years! My DZ Dale got sold as she was too small for me (and her flopping was driving me insane...)

My Resinsoul order came yesterday! I got a Mi head on the Su body which has extra thigh joints. However I actually wanted the body for my Resinsoul Ai who I got a while ago but since I couldn't splurge on a full doll and a body I decided they'd have to share for a while. I was planning on getting the Xue body for the Mi head but I'm not sold on it. Bit too bobble headed. So I tried her on my Impldoll model and Mirodoll bodies. I think she looks better on these but the model body is a bit softer and curvier than I wanted. The Mirodoll is more in line with what I had in mind but I'm still working on this one so I don't want another project body. We'll see.

Took this the other night. Just... felt like posting. I dunno. Vespara just chilling on her shelf. I love her so much. She is a custom color ResinSoul Ai on a Soom Beryl body. Beryl was one of my first BJD loves.

Pazuzu is currently in shambles as she is finally getting her tattoos (good news: not from me) so I finally get a crack on all the dolls that were requested to be photographed on my IG!

Caspian is one of the traders who caught Mitra in Qusir Torpaq and sold them to Keybanu. Needless to say that Mitra hates his guts.

Here we have a Resinsoul Ai in fleshtone skin (that’s what normal skin was called back in 2011).

This face up is very special, as it is my 300th! It’s on one of my own dolls as I’ve made it a tradition to redo her after every 99 face ups. She was my first, 100th, 200th, and now she’s my 300th face up! This is not counting body or fantasy part blushes either, just faces!

I always keep the theme the same to see how I’ve improved in the last 99 face ups. I really like this face up a lot. The first I had help on with the eyebrows and lashes, the 100th I never liked as I over blushed her way too much. The 200th was fine, I didn’t really want to wipe it, but it was time. I can’t wait to see how the 400th face up will look!

New girlie~~

I adopted this gorgeous girl from a friend in the hobby and she came a couple days ago! I took some unboxing photos, but I unboxed her at a bar and the light was really green, so they came out poorly :/ ha ha!

She’s a Resinsoul Ai with human ears, on the 68cm girl body, and I think the fot is really nice! Maeve has the regular SD size head from them, and you can see how large it is by comparison. I don’t mind it though, I love them both and think they both look great.

I have some big plans for her, she’s going to be my first mod project! I’m also thinking she might be a good candidate for an open-mouth mod? That’s a bit scary though, I don’t want to mess up her gorgeous face!

I’m so excited for her, she’s soooo gorgeous and I am so in love with her!
