Rest in Peace to Akira Toriyama
A man who took inspirations from the book "Journey to the West" and created the series Dragon Ball. It grew from a manga series to anime, then led to Dragon Ball Z, GT, Super, and dozen of animated movies. His work inspired other anime series & left an impact on a lot of young fans who grew up with Dragon Ball. Whether you are a fan of anime or not, no one can deny the impact he left with his work and how many will miss him.
RIP Mr. Toriyama

Farewell Toriyama sensei Merci pour avoir inspiré tout une génération d'artistes et influencé la pop culture à tant de niveaux. Passe le salut à Miura au passage et repose en paix.

Toriyama died March 1 of a blood clot in his brain, his production company Bird Studio said in a statement on Friday. A funeral service had been held with only his family and a few relatives, it said.
RIP Akira Toriyama.

The fact I’ve seen multiple videos on YouTube about Toriyama that have monetization enabled is fucking disgusting.
A man died. This isn’t the time. If you want to make a video about it, it should be supplemental to what you’re already making. Monetizing it is disrespectful.

It’s been a rough full week since receiving the news- I’ve binge watched dbz all the way to episode 70 when I’m not working- I’ve been thinking back to the good times I’ve had all these years. Honestly Dragon Ball Z has been my life for well over 20 years now. And honestly I have a lot to owe to Akira Toriyama due to everything dbz gave to me.
Kinda melodramatic to say dragon ball z not only saved my life but my younger brothers life (ik it sounds hella goofy just hear me out) but I’ve mourned enough to want to say thank you so so so much from the bottom of my heart. I don’t think I would have ever acquired my love for art or writing. Dbz was my escape into a fantastic world where anything was possible. Every factor in my life has lead up to dragon ball z. I feel like it was so soon, I feel like I’ve lost one of my most admired teacher and it was hard news to receive on a Friday morning but I just hope from the bottom of my heart he knew just how much joy and delight he brought to the world. Dragon Ball Z always has been and always will be my top show out of anything in the world and I was always keep that feeling of comfort and strength I needed with me for always. Dragon Ball Z gave me the courage to stay headstrong, bold, and unapologetically weird.
Thank you Mr. Toriyama- Thank you so much!!
