okay well, im obviously biased, and i love my own fics, the end.

but, if you don't want to read my nonsense, here are some of my favs:

-the son and heir of nothing in particular by @steelycunt (aeridi0nis on AO3) as well as on the issue of fever and delight and in lieu of beaujolais.

as you can see, i'm particularly fond of their writing and despite loving to be mean to Sirius (in the best sort of way, he is our barbie doll that gets chewed on sometimes, shaken like a rag doll), always do a phenomenal job of capturing his demons and the vibe. there's a particular line in OTIOFAD where sirius is there trying to apologize, and he, like, can't figure out how to slouch enough to do so, and it just hits right where it should. yes.

-the shape and sound of god by @dykefever (dykesiriusblack on AO3).

this is a fleabag AU, and Sirius is the star of the show. I am in love with this sad, sad, depiction of him. What I love a lot about sirius is how raw he is, like literally an open wound walking around and he pulls people into it, but he's always honest about that too. and is just like trying trying trying to be better, but the wound is just festering and. this. also, if you're in the mood for more dykefever, i highly recommend (in my room) i want you here

i don't tend to read about the Prank because it makes me feel too much and drives me insane but THIS ONE. THIS ONE. yes. will read. and Sirius's characterization in this is top tier.

OKAY LOOK I HAD TO COME BACK AND EDIT THIS POST. so fair warning (and i told tumblr user heartofspells this when i was reading as well), i had to do some skimming with some of the subject matter in this fic. learned a lot more abt indigenous activism & resurgence this year thanks 2 some various class readings & lectures & in particular the book ‘as we have always done’ which i just finished this month! also learned how 2 make pasta sauces better by adding a spoonful of plain cream cheese…learned abt the anarchitechture movement & the work of gordon matta-clark…how 2 play some new songs on the piano…& much more :•)

mutuals marching pt 1.

(i've been wanting to do this in the spirit of the trend started by @broomsticks and highlight a few of my favorite mutuals on this site.

I keep my circle small, and as I've slowly stopped writing fanfic and my "content" has become less and less, the mutuals in my circle have also decreased, and left me with a small but mighty crew. I would like to highlight some of those folks on this last day of march. part 1

@maybebabyplease (you had to be green)-- my newest mutual and someone i am greatly enjoying doing business with. (though it has been a short arrangement so far, i am looking forward to many many many more months). discourse with you is unmatched and i am so thrilled to have you here (and be able to reap the benefits of your wealth of knowledge of OG fiction). My Rec: Em's microfics (QUEEN of compelling stories in so little words???) and surprisingly booksmart. not a pairing i typically go for ever (its moonseeker, what.) but this is so sweet and cute. and i'm a sucker for valentines day and regulus is perfect in this. the end.

@dykefever-- i exist in lauras sphere as someone who screams in their DMs and won't shut up, and i am thrilled she is still mutuals with me after all the nonsense I've shouted in her direction. I've said it before and I'll say it again that i cannot get enough of her writing-- she had me at "here we are, again" (perfect wolfstar, not a single coherent note), fucking ran me over with a truck at "beautiful boy" (the moonchaser of all moonchasers, the ancient text, i swear), obliterated my heart with "seasons in desire" (which to this day is still the only fic i have bookmarked on my AO3; and as someone who doesn't regularly read Dorlene, UGH) and its currently bringing me back to life with the shape and sound of god. do yourself a favor and check her out, but be prepared to have your world shattered.

similarly @steelycunt this is a boyband concert, i am front row, screaming, pulling my hair out over every word they write. Unbeatable. i would love to write half as good as ridi can one day when i grow up. but additionally, they are also my go to person for Cardboard Box Wet Noodle Accurate takes on Remus Lupin. Remus Lupin is just "some guy" and that is all. everything ridi writes is gold but if you need somewhere to start: in lieu of beaujolais was the first thing i read from them and i was SOLD. signed up, done for. and on issue of fever and delight is the only post-prank wolfstar fic i will ever read. RUN don't walk to their AO3 (also i would be silly if i didn't mention how much i appreciate ridis reading taste, and i actually first connected with them over the essay titled there is more than one way to love a book)

E' disponibile sulle piattaforme di streaming digitale e in rotazione radiofonica "Se mi vuoi lasciare", il nuovo singolo di Michele & Lorenzo Lupo in occasione del 60° anniversario del trionfo al Cantagiro.

"Se mi vuoi lasciare", il celebre brano di Michele che ha trionfato al Cantagiro nel 1963, rappresenta un classico della musica italiana intriso di romanticismo. In occasione dei 60 anni di carriera di Michele, il brano si rinnova con una collaborazione speciale: il giovane artista Lorenzo Lupo. La nuova versione promette di portare nuova vita e freschezza a questo capolavoro, celebrando la lunga carriera di Michele attraverso una reinterpretazione contemporanea e coinvolgente.

MICHELE

Figlio di una cantante lirica, si trasferisce ancora bambino a Genova, città dove frequenta l'Istituto tecnico dei trasporti e logistica Nautico San Giorgio; a soli 14 anni incide il primo 45 giri con due brani, "Sono dannato" e "Flirt", due pezzi rock'n'roll che esegue con l'accompagnamento dell'Orchestra Zanti e con la denominazione Gianfranco Maisano. Durante il periodo scolastico si esibisce dal vivo con un suo complesso nei locali della sua città e viene notato da un suo concittadino, il maestro Gian Piero Reverberi, che gli fa incidere una sua canzone, Ma se tu vorrai, per la Assolo, una sotto-etichetta della Karim: il disco non ottiene successo ma suscita l'attenzione della RCA Italiana, che decide di metterlo sotto contratto. 

Nel 1963 partecipa con "Se mi vuoi lasciare" al girone B del Cantagiro, vincendolo: il disco ottiene un notevole successo arrivando in prima posizione per nove settimane e la canzone diventerà sicuramente il brano più noto del cantante. Ottiene nuovamente successo con "Ridi", "Ti ringrazio perché" e "Ti senti sola stasera", cover di "Are You Lonesome Tonight", evergreen di Elvis Presley. 

Nel 1966 un altro suo notevole successo è "Dite a Laura che l'amo" (cover di Tell Laura I Love Her), che lo fa conoscere anche fuori dall'Italia. È del 1967 il suo debutto all'Olympia di Parigi, tempio sacro della musica leggera internazionale; riscuote inoltre un buon successo anche all'estero, in particolare in Messico, in Giappone, in Francia, Germania, Romania con il Gruppo "I Michelangeli", Canada e in America Latina. Dopo altri 45 giri di minor successo, passa alla Ri-Fi, riscuotendo subito un buon riscontro con Soli si muore, cover di "Crimson and clover" dei Tommy James and the Shondells, registrato dal Gruppo "Michele & I Michelangeli" nel 1969, replicato da Negro, cover di "In the Ghetto" di Elvis Presley, con l'arrangiamento di Tony Vella, Pianista e Organista del suddetto gruppo. 

Fabrizio De André nell'album "La buona novella" del 1970 ricorda come Michele assieme all'autore bolognese Corrado Castellari abbia avuto un'idea per la musica de "Il testamento di Tito", canzone incisa anche da Michele sul lato B di "Susan dei marinai": con quest'ultima canzone, scritta da Fabrizio De André per il testo (ma il cantautore la fa firmare a Sergio Bardotti) e da Castellari per la musica, torna in classifica nel 1971. Sempre nello stesso anno incide l'album "Vivendo cantando", in cui presenta canzoni scritte da cantautori come Sergio Endrigo, Francesco Guccini, Bruno Lauzi, Roberto Vecchioni, Enzo Jannacci, Luigi Tenco e Fabrizio De André. Ha partecipato al Festival di Sanremo due volte, nel 1970 con L'addio e nel 1972 con Forestiero, è tornato in altre tre occasioni al Cantagiro e ha partecipato varie volte a Canzonissima. 

È del 1980 la sua prima orchestra spettacolo: si esibisce nei locali da ballo italiani ottenendo grandi consensi. Negli anni duemila collabora spesso con l'orchestra Dina Manfred, personalità poliedrica che varia dal melodico italiano, allo standard jazz, al latino americano. Partecipa a trasmissioni televisive quali Superclassifica Show su Canale 5, Ci vediamo in TV su Rai 2 con Paolo Limiti, varie edizioni del Festival delle Orchestre su Rete 4. Michele Maisano ha interpretato il Ragionier Bruni nella seconda e nella quarta serie di Carabinieri. 

Nel 2012 viene chiamato da Verdiano Vera, produttore discografico, per far parte del super gruppo Artisti Uniti per Genova nel progetto "Ora" che, brano scritto da Max Campioni, realizzato per raccogliere fondi per l'alluvione di Genova del 4 novembre 2011, che vede la partecipazione di numerosi musicisti e cantanti della scena musicale genovese. Dal 2016 è ospite fisso nel programma MilleVoci di Gianni Turco, visibile in tutta Europa sulla piattaforma Sky e sul digitale terrestre in Italia. Oltre ad esibirsi con brani del suo repertorio passato, Michele presenta anche composizioni inedite. Il 5 agosto 2015 è protagonista di un memorabile concerto in Piazza della Libertà a Lavagna, durante il quale ha rievocato la sua lunga carriera proponendo, davanti ad un numeroso pubblico, hit del passato e canzoni recenti oltre a cover di brani rock americani degli anni '50, soprattutto di Elvis. Negli anni successivi si esibirà spesso in Liguria, sua terra d'adozione, come a Santa Margherita Ligure nel 2019 e a Conscenti di Ne in occasione della festa patronale di San Lorenzo nel 2021. 

Nel 2019 esce il libro biografico Michele, "Una Vita Da Cantante" scritto dall'ex autore di Striscia La Notizia Franco Faloppi. 

Il 19 luglio 2023, il Comune di Genova ha omaggiato Michele e i suoi 60 anni di carriera con un concerto-evento nel parco di Villa Rossi Martini a Sestri Ponente a cui hanno partecipato numerosi artisti amici di lunga data del cantante, tra cui molti della scena genovese, come la band di Roberto Morselli, Franca Lai, Vladimiro Zullo de I Trilli, Matteo Merli, La Squadra di Genova, Aldo De Scalzi, Dino, Gian Pieretti, Donatello, Oscar Prudente e Nicole Magolie. I festeggiamenti per i 60 anni di carriera di Michele sono poi proseguiti il 5 agosto 2023 con un altro concerto a Busalla. 

LORENZO LUPO

Lupo Lorenzo, in arte LUPO, è un cantante di origine pugliese, nato il 02/02/2004 a Gallipoli, vive a Casarano nella provincia di Lecce.

La sua dote innata per il canto, presente sin dall'infanzia, lo porterà a scegliere questo come percorso di vita di crescita futura e lavorativa.

Sin dall'età di 7 anni, Lorenzo ascolta i dischi degli artisti preferiti dei genitori e inizia a conoscere nel suo piccolo il panorama musicale sempre in continua crescita.

Lupo durante il periodo scolastico sceglie di intraprende l'indirizzo musicale presente alla scuole medie iniziando a aprirsi tramite esibizioni collettive scolastiche. In occasione di un concerto Natalizio la classe musicale dei professori lo scelgono per interpretare assieme ad un piccolo coro d'istituto un brano, facendo si che egli possa rompere il ghiaccio e sentirsi tranquillo di fronte al pubblico. 

Subito dopo l'esibizione Lupo, matura la decisione accompagnata dai suoi genitori di studiare canto per apprenderne la tecnica e la sua conoscenza.

Dalla prima lezione passano sette anni e da quel momento a LUPO capita un'occasione importante:  conoscere un'etichetta musicale che lo porterà a fa costruire un percorso artistico con i suoi inediti e cover che gli permettono di crescere professionalmente e di aprire nuove nozioni verso la conoscenza.

Dalla stesura del primo inedito dal titolo "Controcorrente", tramite la sua etichetta, riesce a partecipare a programmi TV nazionali che gli permettono di farsi notare.

Il primo inedito che parla del suo amore per la musica lo trascinerà verso la produzione di altri due nuovi brani "Il tempo cura" che racconta di una dimostrazione d'amore tra due innamorati che rammemorano i momenti vissuti,e "Finché ce n'è", che rappresenta la realizzazione di un sogno, la collaborazione tramite duetto assieme.
